I have used these guys on and off for years, mainly for air-conditioning lines and some odds and ends. Ryan has always been a very friendly standup guy. It’s been a while since I visited them last but today had ran down to the store earlier in the morning to get a bad AC line redone. I had no appointment, but Ryan stopped what he was doing to fix my problem immediately and I still got to work early. Very rare to find anybody or any shop like this in today’s world. We need more people like them 🙌 Honest, fast, efficient, and quality. That’s all fairly priced.

All the reviews are true. This place has phenomenal Customer Service. I called multiple businesses hoping for help patching a brass radiator - no one would touch it. Stan looked at it for 5 seconds, said No Problem AND had it completed the same day. You guys have a customer for life here. Keep up the great work!

Ryan at Kirks is the definition of customer service. These guys take great care of their customers, and their work is excellent. Had a Magna flow exhaust put on my 2016 Tacoma and I love it. Ive been to these guys once before with my Chevy 2500 and they did an amazing job then as well. Affordable prices and quick turnaround, Ryan was able to get me in and out in just a couple of hours. I would highly recommend this shop!!!!

This place is the only one in San Diego Id trust with my car. I have a show car and Ryan did a Phenomenal!! Job. The welds are crisp . Even hard to see. Almost looks like its all one piece. Good prices specially for the work and time he puts in.

I had a first class experience here. I needed some custom stainless TIG welds on an exhaust collector, but with a twist. The collector is on the exterior of my car and highly visible, so it needed to be aesthetically pleasing (as well as structurally sound). I communicated with Ryan, who guided me via e-mail on how to prep the parts. He said his new welds would be better than the existing ones (made by a British company which exclusively produces bespoke exhaust systems). Fighting talk! He was true to his word and I am absolutely delighted with the end product. And at an incredibly reasonable price. Ryan was delightful to deal with throughout and an example to everyone else in the industry. I will surely be back for further projects. Cheers!

Greatest experience by a family shop. Quick diagnosis and repaired in less than hour. Could tell the difference between an professional job on my truck from start to finish...Not like how a salesperson that is dis honest creates a list of many false problems that are in urgent to be repaired. Pushing the list that all must be fixed . Really a list to get the most profit he can weazel out of you. Lies about 90% of the time. Only focus is on gaining money. Went to 3 shops was priced in the range of 2700.00, and one shop 1950.00 but would take 4 days to complete the repair. AT KIRKS RADIATOR I paid a TOTAL 110.00 with tax.. and MY wait was 45 minutes. So basic to tell it like it is to build a loyal customer service and find all of the repairs were done correctly, and the process of doing business was how ethical business practice can make a day changer. Have a old 66 Mustang had a bad radiator guy could have totally taken advantage of me but did not. Instead he set me in a direction that I could handle myself. Showed me all the parts and necessary pieces to do the job the way. He would do it if it was his own car. Such an awesome person will highly recommend to anybody and everybody. I have a 25-year-old F150 pickup truck, and the AC was not chillin. They didnt try to sell me major new parts, and instead, they applied a solution to extend the life of an aging seal. I do recommend their radiator and AC services.

Had new compressor inatalled at another shop and coolent would leak out after several weeks. Had other shop check for leaks several times......couldnt find problem. Went to Kirks and they found the leak, recharged the system, and had me on the road in an hour.Still working great

On 07/15/10 I took my Jeep to get serviced for A/C for recharge. I called several places including the Jeep Dealership in La Mesa and everyone quotes were so high even just the service fee just to check!! But not Kirks! They had the best reviews on search engines and now I know why, so Im leaving a review too! They were professional, HONEST, had nice facilities and were super quick only took 30 min to do service check and recharge, whereas other places said it would take an hour! They were so friendly and were honest about prices, didnt overcharge on labor or parts and believe me I checked prices! I will NEVER go to another auto shop. Thanks Kirks its nice to know there IS quality auto mechanics out there!

Professional, well made exaust system what Ryan did for my GMC S15 truck which I love. He put a Cat with brand new aluminized steel pipe 2.5 with a flowmaster 40 series, and lastly a tip single in dual out. I highly recommend Kirks Radiator

My radiator decided to spring a leak right before the weekend and getting it fixed was either going to make or break my weekend plans since I couldnt drive. After calling several shops that seemed more interested in my wallet than fixing the problem, I went with Kirks for the reviews and customer service over the phone.The day was Friday, I had work all day, and they arent open on weekends. So I borrowed a friends truck, raced down in the morning, and they had me in and out in 15 minutes and on time to work. Its now been roughly 3 weeks and my radiator is working awesome with no leaks. They do fantastic work! Also they are a family owned business which is awesome!Thank you Kirks for helping me out! I will definitely be pointing my friends in your direction!

This is the place to go in East county San Diego for your automotive AC repair or system update. They can also install a new exhaust system or build a custom one for you. Radiator repair not a problem for these guys. You can trust this place as I have done for over 30 years, family run, go see them first for top notch service and great workmanship.

I went in to have a cracked aluminum radiator looked at. I was greeted at the door and helped right away. After describing my problem I was given a very reasonable quote. I was also given alternatives in the event that the initial repair request was not feasible. Very quick turn around, and very good customer service. This is a no nonsense repair shop. 10/10 would recommend!

2nd time Ive been here. 1st time Truck AC blowing hot air. They quickly found problem, AC hoses old & leaking. They had new hoses on & running cold in couple of hours! More recently AC seemed running warm on motor home. They checked & advised it was running great blowing 47 degrees. Thank You. (Its a big space to cool just have to give it a little time to get to 47!)

Great customer service and they stood behind their work. Had the radiator flushed. A couple of days later I noticed a small drip. Took it back to Kirks and they got right on it, they saw it needed a new drain plug, They fixed it right then, no charge. Happy customer!

Kirks installed a new radiator on my Wrangler three months ago. Early this morning the overheat light came on. I pulled over to discover the coolant streaming out of the vehicle. I had the Jeep towed to Kirks. The problem turned out to be twofold: the thermostat they had installed had failed (the owner, Stan, told me its hard to locate reliable car thermostats nowadays), and the hoses connected to the heater had leaked, the leaks being a result of the thermostat failing. Kirks replaced the hoses (which hadnt been part of the prior radiator installation) and the thermostat (which had been). I expected to receive an invoice, but Stan told me there would be no charge. I much appreciated that.

Stopped in to get my ac fixed. They checked over my system and found it had a electric problem. Advised me of a shop that could fix the problem and didnt bill me for the system check. How often can you find a shop that will check your system and not charge you, Never except at this honest repair shop. Came in today with my grandfather to see about getting his model A radiator recored. They were extremely helpful and explained why it was not cost effective to recore it. Showed us where we could find what we need. This is customer service at its finest I will be a lifelong customer and will be recommending them to everyone I know.
