Francisco is the best in the biz! Had such a great experience with him walking me through the whole lease process. He was very honest, sincere, helpful, and empathetic and made sure I understood all components of the process, my new lease, and my new car. If you go into Kirby Subaru, ask for Francisco! Best experience I’ve had with getting a car. The whole team at Kirby was really helpful and I’d definitely go here again. 2 years of service/24k miles are also covered and I’m looking forward to taking my car in for this because the location has an on site dog park. Pretty great!!

The service department worked quickly and efficiently and offered a loaner car during the short time it took for my car to be serviced. I did not have an appointment and when I pulled up I was greeted with smiling faces, no problems, and a smooth experience. Overall, from beginning to end, I was happy with the service department at Kirby Subaru of Ventura. The car runs great, there have been no problems, only good times and shared traveling memories with loved ones.

Took it in for routine service like oil change, power steering flush, brake fluid flush. First they broke a piece of my reservoir for my brake fluid and didnt say anything about it, they overfill my power steering fluid and dont clean the mess up that was spilt over the rest if the components, the engine oil is overfilled. The environment in this establishment is very uneasy and uncomfortable to say the least.

We recently purchased a 2024 Subaru Outback onyx from Tim. We are nothing but thrilled with the entire experience with him. Tim, unlike many car salesman didn’t push us to just buy something, he thought about the best option for our family. We tested out many vehicles with the car seat and all the different pros and cons of each. Tim really made us feel welcomed and explained everything in though detail. If we were to purchase another vehicle it would be him. He deserves this review.The dealership was very helpful and family oriented. Very clean and has all the necessities you’ll need.Lastly,Adam in financing was beyond helpful to us. He made sure we were looked after and was transparent about the costs associated with the vehicle. At the end of the day this is a business but they were fair with the pricing and didn’t add on things we didn’t need to begin with. Overall this dealership deserves 5 starts from us.

Even when there was an issue with my previous purchase, they took the initiative to address it without any prompting from me. I have taken my car here a few times and have always received excellent service. The last couple of times I brought my car in, my service advisor was Jason C and he was fabulous. He listened to my issues, kept me up to date, and continuously communicated to me what was going on as the repair progressed. Overall, I am extremely happy with the level of service I received and would highly recommend you take your Subaru here if you need to have it serviced.

This was our first visit to Kirby Subaru of Ventura, and our service was nearly flawless. From communication, service, staff, and the on-site dog park feature, there was only one huh? moment. As soon as we got home from *dropping off* our car at the service center for an estimated two week repair, someone called us to see if the service we received was satisfactory, but no service had been performed yet. And a salesperson called to see if wanted to trade in our new-to-us car for a different new car.But other than having to drive 40 minutes to access our nearest Subaru dealer, this one is a well oiled service center that I would recommend to any Subaru owner needing custom service.

Hands down-one of the BEST customer service I have ever experienced with a dealership. Mark Evans listened to which features were important to me and shared the info while we test drove without adding sales pressure. He responded immediately when I called/text with additional questions. Whats most impressive was after the sale. Kirby takes the companys motto of Subaru family to heart. The entire team (Mark, Howard, Val, JP) welcomed me with hands on instructions, tour of the service bay, discounts, free maintenance offers and continued thank you calls and emails. Im incredibly impressed with Kirby Subaru. After losing my almost new Forester (bought out of state) to an accident recently, I wasnt looking forward to going through the car-buying process again. Kirby turned that around! Rick in sales is absolutely OUTSTANDING and I highly recommend working with him. I had the best experience buying my Brand new Forester at Subaru Ventura, Dale Hicks was the best car sales person ever. I have bought 3 cars in my lifetime and the other times I purchased cars were always an ordeal! This was not. The entire time went very well. I felt very informed about all of the vehicles I test drove, when I made my choice of the car I wanted to buy things went smoothly. Dale showed me around the entire dealership so that I knew where to go for service, parts etc. I met everyone, which was nice. Very friendly staff. He even checked up on me a couple days later in case I had any questions or concerns. I appreciate that kind of service. They dont just sell you a car and send you on your way. Non stressful, non pushy. Im very grateful and will be sure that my sons next new car will be bought there and we will definitely be seeing Dale :)

I did two test drives over a week period, and when I finally decided to lease a new Solterra, all went great. working with all the different members on the team went smoothly. They want 110% satisfaction! We have a dog, and Kirby Subaru, is a dog friendly establishment, We were able to walk our dog Reese around the property, and in the fenced in dog area. My friend and I were on our way to Santa Barbara when the information light came on her dash. We discovered that my puppy, who had been sleeping quietly under the passenger seat, had chewed through a cable & wires under the seat. He genuinely cared about whether it was the right car for me, and made sure that I was comfortable throughout the whole process. Beings we are not local to Ventura, this was going to be a day trip for the two of us. We recently purchased our first Subaru at Kirby Subaru of Ventura. From the moment my family walked onto the lot, we felt welcome and everyone we interacted with was kind and respectful, even to the point of quickly drying of a damp bench for my son to sit down. We specifically worked with Ricky in purchasing our new Ascent. He was super knowledgable about the car and never once did we feel pressure to make any decisions. Ricky worked with us to get a great deal in trading in our old car and made sure we got exactly what we wanted in our new Subaru. I had the best experience at Kirby Subaru of Ventura. I got to work with Austin Dietz, who was absolutely the best to work with. As a young woman who doesnt know much about cars, I was super nervous and anxious to go into a car dealership. This was my first time going through this process on my own, and Austin made it so easy. I was mostly worried about having to interact with the classic pushy salesman, but Austin was nothing like that. He was personable, and made me feel like he was a friend just helping and supporting me to make the best decision for myself. He NEVER pushed, or pressured, or made me feel uncomfortable. He took the time and effort to fully inform me about the 3 different models I was looking at, and shared his own experience with Subaru cars. I also had the best experience with him on the test drive. He walked me through and showed me every feature, and made sure I had all of my concerns addressed. He worked with me on his only 2 days off of the week, and was available for me via email and phone, but mostly kept to email which was my preferred method of communicating. I had some horrible experiences at other dealers during the week, and the test drives with them paled in comparison. I feel truly good about my decision and Im so happy with my new Subaru. Im usually super satisfied by the service. But I purposely came in at 7:15am to get a oil change so I didnt have to wait forever. I waited 2 hours then asked the service advisor how much longer. Both deals were very fair, clearly explained and both went exactly as described.Before ordering my BRZ from Kirby I visited four Toyota dealerships to inquire about the nearly identical (and Subaru built) GR86, and one other Subaru dealership. Sales people at all the Toyota dealerships started negotiations at high prices for cars they didn’t have in stock. This review is for the service department. It’s very difficult to find a dealer with a service department that will treat your car with same level of care and respect as I, the owner, would have. This dealer was referred to me by someone who was impressed with their service. My first experience with their service department in January was perfect. I had asked them to be extra careful with my car since I take a lot of pride in it and its condition. To most people a car is just a tool but for me it’s more than just that, it’s a passionate hobby. I returned for my next service interval on 6/26 and couldn’t be more disappointed with the experience that I received. I made notes for the advisor to ensure that the technicians were EXTRA careful with my car of which she obviously did not. I asked if she had read my notes which she said, “I read it,” but don’t believe that it was comprehended. I received my car back with heavy scratching from the unnecessary marker that is placed on the roof and the bottom of my steering wheel was cut into with a sharp instrument due to no plastic being placed down before they entered the vehicle. This is a huge contrasting experience from when I first was there and is highly disappointing because I drove 29 miles to that dealer based upon that first visit. Since I wasn’t respected nor my car, I will never return to this dealer for service again. Time to look for a quality place to take my car to instead of a place filled with a bunch of amateurs.

Avoid this dealership if you want your car to be worked on professionally and would like everything put back together properly. Service team has a gross lacking professionalism. Short story time, I brought my car to get service done. I had two bring it there twice in one week because they simply didn’t fix the problem nor did they put things back where they belonged. When I respectfully confronted them about it, was called a liar. I was called a liar up until I showed them the pictures I took of my car before I dropped it off to them that day, which displayed the parts that were missing were in fact on the car before I brought it there. After speaking with Sergio Perez, the sales manager I was told that everything was going to be fix accordingly and properly, it wasn’t. In fact they tried to extort money out of me by trying to have me pay for a vehicle teardown which was unnecessary. So after speaking with Subaru of America I decided to take my car to another dealership to get the work properly completed. A few months later I returned to Kirby Subaru to purchase motor oil and two days later I was informed I can no longer do business with them because they don’t like the truthful report I told Subaru of America and because a lie one of there service workers reported. Which I have proof and showed them. So at the end of it I lost my account with them and I’m now forced to drive 30 minutes away because they couldn’t do their job correctly and their feelings are hurt about a report of them being con artists. So do what you will with this story, but if I were you I’d avoid them at all costs.

When I was negotiating for a car, I made it clear that I wanted an Out the Door price, which includes all markups but not government fees and taxes, and that I didnt want to pay for any added features that I didnt request. After some discussion, we agreed on a price. However, when I carefully reviewed the sales document, I noticed that the dealer had added a car protection finish that I didnt want. Purchased a used Legacy from Kirby Subaru a few years back and was very happy with the experience. Passed that car on to my kid so I decided to purchase a new Legacy with Kirby at the end of last year. The dealership did not receive any of these models so I had to order the car. The process of ordering a vehicle was very easy and my sales consultant Jerry made the whole process a pleasure. I selected all of the features I wanted and sent the order through to Subaru. Jerry was up front about the timing (slowdown due to supply chain issues) and kept in touch during the waiting period. As soon as the car hit the lot, he called me to come down and take a look. (Cool thing I didn’t know about ordering a car from the factory, if it turned not to be what I wanted, the car goes into stock, no harm, no foul.)I made the appointment with Jerry and went down to Kirby to see the car. The car was exactly as I ordered it and there were no surprises in the cost. Jerry was beyond patient with me as we test drove the Legacy I ordered but also an entirely different model. (So I could be sure I really liked what I ordered.) He responded with a smile and genuine helpfulness as I asked for specs on the other model, a tape measure to compare the interior lengths of the cars, and host of other things. I did end buying the car I ordered. Adam in finance rounded out the purchase experience. He too was very professional, patient, and explained everything we had questions about. This is not ok.The agreement clearly says I need to give a signed notice and I have done that. I was told I could cancel anytime. I first gave Kriby and excellent, 5 Start review, but then, after buying an Outback and getting to know the people (or individual) who sold me the car, I realized that I must change my review. After all, as a scholar, I should have known better to jump-the-gun and write a review before really knowing comprehensively each and every aspect of the car and dealership in which I gave my business to. I researched the hell out of the Outback. I watched countless videos on YouTube, read review after review, and was excited about all the option and amenities that an Outback comes with. Bob from Kirby gave me the best deal; he actually called me back and gave me a better deal on a higher model than I had initially wanted. Then I got the car. I quickly realized that the gas mileage wasnt what Subaru claims. When I asked Bob about this, he blamed it on my heavy foot. When my power window on my drivers side slowed during opening and closing, Bob blamed my tinted windows. When I took it in for service, the team at service gave me the pre-emptive, your lift kit might not be covered by the warrantee talk even though I was there to simply get an oil change. When my eye sight warning light came on, Bob had never heard of that issue and said that he would get back to me; never did. When my stereo system and phone stopped working, I notified Bob, and after one response, he decided to no longer communicate with me at all. It has been four months, less that 8,000 miles, countless issues, and Kirby Subaru is treating me like and ex-girlfriend who wants to pretend I dont exist. Great customer service Bob/Kirby. I now know where to never send my business again.

He did not pressure me and harass me like I felt many other sales associates from other dealer ships around the area had. Everybody else who greeted me there seemed very helpful, friendly and pleasant. I have never owned a Subaru before and I was so impressed with how many happy customers came up to me expressing how much they love their Subarus in the short amount of time that I was there. It all makes sense now because I will be the happy customer spreading the word next time I am at the dealership for an oil change. I just absolutely LOVE my new car. Also, I am a first time new car buyer and the sales team was extremely helpful and walked me through every step of the process. In this crazy market, I felt that this dealership priced their vehicles fair and didn’t tack on all of these crazy packages and fees to up charge the cars. The wife and I went car shopping last weekend with the intent of shopping, meaning looking around comparing different makes and models Our first stop was Kirby Subaru we were looking at used Foresters when our salesperson Brian Monroe says Hey you gotta look at this one here, a brand new one. Brian was totally up front on all the costs and his knowledge of the cars was over the top. We felt no pressure during the whole process. But felt that we could not pass up the opportunity to buy it after comparing the price and interest rate, and my wife liked the color.Brian knew that we were not wanting to waste a lot of time and accelerated the paper process and the detailing of the Forester. Eric Oland in sales was a great salesman who showed me every car we wanted to see and treated myself and my girlfriend with nothing but respect.Being younger buyers it can sometimes be hard to be taken seriously especially when looking at sportier cars like the WRX but the staff here was nothing but great.Valerie hurt in finance was also especially helpful and although negotiating took a while(which I expected when looking for a car) they were both willing to work with us to walk out with a deal that left us both happy.Would definitely recommend you check them out if you havent already.

Went to Kirby Subaru for my daughter to purchase an Outback. She had spoken ahead of time with Robert Papandrea, who was totally prepped and ready for our visit. I went with as support for the buying process, but in the end was not necessary. Robert listened to all her questions and was able to answer them for her. Late in the afternoon, during a road trip from Omaha in late October, our 2015 Outback Limited 2.5i became stranded on the Pacific Coast with battery charging issues. We had our Outback towed to Kirby Subaru in Ventura, where we received the most professional, personable and comprehensive service imaginable. The tow truck had arrived at closing time, and we were assured by Reilly and the service team that our car would attended to first thing the following morning. We were offered a complementary loaner vehicle for us to use for the night. A phone call from Reilly the next morning informed us our battery was replaced under warranty and the faulty ECM, the reason for the battery drain, was updated. All at no charge to us. I highly recommend the service department at Kirby Subaru of Ventura, California.

Finally, today has been my worst experience with this branch. Subaru, I have been a faithful customer for many years, and today I wonder why. Your express service to change oil took 2 hours, you did not check levels of the differential fluids as I had asked for, but you did tried to push your overpriced tires on me and charged $122 for this visit. My wife and I leased a new Subaru from Kirby this past weekend. It was our first time, so naturally both of us were a little nervous and excited. I have been in sales and customer service all my working life, so I know the mindset of a salesperson, and of course we wanted to get the best deal without getting taken advantage of. We test drove probably 7 or 8 different models from different dealerships and we really liked the way the All Wheel Drive and Boxer engine performed from the Subaru. We were taken care of by Francisco, who was very patient and warm with us. Of course, like any good salesman he asked if we were looking to buy that day, but he didnt pressure us. In fact, we went home and thought about it and compared prices at other dealers all the while remaining in contact with Francisco. He was adamant that we only choose to go with his deal if we thought it was the best one and he understood if we wanted to shop around. His honesty and patience earned our trust and a week later we came back, even though there were other Subaru dealers closer to our house. I would recommend buying from Kirby Subaru and Francisco. I will definitely be going back once my lease is up to work with Francisco again on my next Subaru!

My boyfriend and I recently purchased an outback and had a wonderful experience with our sales guy, Henry (aka Enrique). Henry was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience easy and fun. When I showed up at the dealership (a few days before xmas) it was packed and all the sales reps were busy but I got lucky and Henry said he would be happy to help me out while someone else he was helping was out for a test drive. He was the only sales rep to give me the time of day. I had been looking to buy for weeks and went to several other dealerships but went with Kirby in Ventura because of how cool and honest I felt Henry was. The whole experience was wonderful, five star service. He was there with me all day and stayed until after 9pm through the whole process. Also I should definitely mention the financial guy, Adam, who is also amazing- he stayed late and even waited after hours for me to run home and grab my check book bc I forgot it. I had a really bad experience with this dealership, and found the evening staff to be dishonest with me and sneaking things into the deals you need to be very careful of. I caught them and asked for my signed contract back and a copy of my pulled credit records which they refused. Things went south real quick after that. If youre a first-time new car buyer, and youre interested in Subaru, then I would strongly recommend going to Kirby, and if possible working with Francisco Vazquez.My girlfriend and I had done all our research and due diligence, but we were still quite apprehensive about our first new car shopping and buying experience. All we wanted was a good deal on a car that we both liked, and Im happy to report that this is exactly what Francisco and his team at Kirbys delivered.Francisco was very easy to talk to and allowed us to test drive, think about our decision, find the right buying price, and finalize our deal at our own pace.
