Dr. Tran is above and beyond amazingly talented in his profession! He listens, he explained everything thoroughly. 5 weeks post surgery. I started walking without a walker the 1st week. Second week, I used a cane once in a while. If you are considering a hip surgery, Dr. Tran is the very best! I could not be happier with my results and getting my life back!

WONDERFUL visit today. Dr. Tran explained in terms I understood what was going on with my leg pain and what he could do to help alleviate the pain. Dr Tran gave me a shot in my right knee. Within two hours the pain was gone.Jessica was very caring and kind. She made sure I was comfortable during my visit.Thank you so very much Dr. Tran and Jessica. I’m feeling great now!

Amazing, my first hip surgery was with a different doctor and it was a month or two before I could walk without a cane or any type of assistance. With Dr Tran I was up and walking three days after my operation. I’m excited to get back to my Surfing.

Im only two weeks out from a total hip replacement of my right hip. I still have some pain and stiffness in my leg and hip, but Ive transitioned from the walker to the cane and feel stable on my own two feet. I cant say enough good things about the entire process. Dr. Tran and his team, and the surgery center at the Scripps Medical Center in Oceanside have all been fantastic. Im still in awe of arriving at the surgery center at 6 in the morning and leaving for home at 2:30 the same day. I was up and walking about two hours after the surgery. I look forward to reporting like others have to be pain-free in a few weeks and getting back to my normal life in due time.

Dr Tran and his team are true professionals. The surgery and all follow-up, was amazing. I would recommend Dr Tran and team to anyone. Had a total hip replacement and its a month later, Im walking on my own with no assistance ( 1 mile a day ) ready to get back to the gym and do some hiking. The results W/ PT have left me painless. Dr Tran picked up when Dr Adam Rosen had ghosted me for three and a half months.Dr Tran is very straightforward, professional and listens to the patient and advised of the procedures, timelines and possible complications.Dr Tran provided my third and forth surgical procedures for left Total Knee Replacement. Since my knee was still infected from Dr Rosen. His first surgical procedure was to remove both the infected prosthesis and put in a spacer to enable me to walk and while I was at home receiving antibiotics twice a day for six weeks to eliminate infection.Dr Tran’s next surgerical procedure was a Total Knee Replacement. First Post-Op follow-up was two weeks when he removed wound-vac and advised two weeks later removed stitches.The staff within Dr Tran’s office was very accommodating, informative and professional. They had scheduled all appointments and called in Pre & Post Prescriptions I needed.Unfortunately, this has taken over one year since original surgery and I’m starting PT tomorrow.I’m very thankful to Dr Tran and his staff!Regards,Tony McMillen

This was a 4 month post knee arthroplasty checkup with Dr. Tran. We had a good two-way conversation about my progress and Dr. Tran answered my questions about my progress and future steps to take in my healing. Ihave always had Excellent experiences at any of the Scripps facilities. Staff members and Doctors are friendly, professional and efficient. Facilities are outstanding. Scripps will always be my first choice for any treatment. Two hip replacements and a new knee are testimony to my faith in them!

Dr Tran completely explained my procedure pre-op, made sure I wanted to do it, explained post- op, I felt like I was in good hands. Then!, I go in, the nurses, the operating room nurse, I think I met almost the whole staff, really made me feel comfortable. I was very nervous, and after, same thing. The care was impeccable. I cant thank Dr Tran and his staff enough. Im post day 7 walking, fairly comfortable!!! And looking forward to my new life. Its game changing people! Game changing! Thank you Dr Tran. 😊

Dr Tran performed hip replacement surgery in me. It went very well every step of the way. I was well informed of the procedure from the beginning to end. One of the visiting nurses even commented that all of Dr Trans patients recover quickly after surgery. The videos provided most cetainly helped the entire process.

I didnt want a knee replacement. After a cortisone and gel shots, plus physical therapy, I was not given many options. Dr Tran was very helpful explaining the various options( and spoke in language I could understand:).The surgery went exactly as anticipated. The first two weeks were (as promised) tough. Now, 4 months out, I very happy life is close to normal and I have excellent range of motion. I no longer dread going to the back of the supermarket. I was diligent with my post surgical physical therapy.Im really pleased with Dr Tran, his staff, and all at Scripps Jefferson and LaJolla.

I was really worried about the procedure. When I first went in, all the RNs, the operating room anesthesiologist, the recovery people, Dr. Tran, all were so professional and concerned about every minute of it, I felt more comfortable than Eddie Van Halen with an electric guitar in his hand, more comfortable than a Ferrari 448 with a full tank of gas, more comfortable than a glass of your best scotch and a Fuente Opus X Double Corona. Bottom line, yes, Dr. Tran is the best.

I love Scripps. No matter which department (Ive had a hip replacement, foot surgery and my wife has had cancer treatment) the quality of care is always top notch, efficient, friendly and caring. Im glad I live near Scripps and even though I have had to get more expensive insurance in order to keep them, its well worth it.Ive been to other facilities (Stanford Hospital especially) where the care is horrendous.

Its been a month and I feel like I have surpassed all my goals because of their care and kindness. This was my first meeting with Dr. Tran today. He explained in full detail the results of my x-rays of the right knee. I didnt feel rushed. He was pleasant and very knowledgeable. He left me very much at ease regarding my knee pain. He suggeted PT and/or shots for the pain if needed in the future. Dr Tran was my choice for getting a knee replacement - after getting 3 other Drs opinions of my case. My choice was based on his extensive experience and Fellowship in the field - despite his relatively young age. And his approach to my not normal knee replacement (existing plates and screws from a previous break) was going to give me less surgery time and less hospital time. We all know the faster you are in and out of the hospital, the less that can happen to you. He is un-rushed at all appointments, spends the time needed answering questions. 4 months after surgery now, and I am happy I chose him. I recommend Dr Tran.

On one of my visits it was determined that I required a podiatrist instead of an orthopedic. Instead of having to make an appointment for a later date, I was squeezed in by podiatrist Bahram Troy Afshar Moghadam. The effort to meet my immediate needs was, and is, amazing. I am so grateful.

My review is, if he cant cut something or replace something then hes not interested. I would not recommend him! And if he billed my insurance company for a Comprehensive New Patient visit, Im going to call them and report his 10 exam.
