Good Panini with avocado. coffee was normal...nice ambience. Enough parking around..5 stars because of the person who was standing on the street with the sign board, directing people to the store..I dont know his name, but he was very kind..he came over from the road and helped us get seated outside..god bless him.. 🙏

As someone who frequently coffee shop hops, I can certainly state Kettle checks off every {caffeine lovers} box. Its your local go-to for a quick grab & go, to sit and read or work, but also bring the family or puppers. My favorites: pour over, cap w oatmilk or honey cortado⚡️.

I randomly came here for the first time today and wow was everything great! I got the Hazelnut Latte (decaf) and it was perfection. I also got the Pablo breakfast sandwich and it was light, flakey, and delicious. The whole place was very clean, had nice lighting, and there was adequate table space. Really friendly staff too!

Kettle is one of my favorite coffee ships. I love to make a routine of going for a coffee and a sandwich or a snack. The coffee is good, the service is good. But what I really like about it is the ambiance. Its a cozy little place where I dont feel rushed. I also like the little book library that they have to peruse. Plenty of students visit so it has a cozy and laid back atmosphere. Definitely a local staple!

Maybe I came on an off day, but based on the way the other reviews sounded I expected more. Breakfast toast was pretty average tasting and the chai latte I got had tons of water. I gave a 3 star review simply because the dining room awesome!!! Fire place, bookshelf, I love the nook and cranny feel of this place. Seems like a great place to sit down with a good book.

This is seriously the best almond vanilla latte I have ever had! THE SYRUPS ARE MADE IN HOUSE! You got to come here and get coffee! Its very welcoming here. Lots of people just on their computers. The avocado toast is fairly plain but for $7 you get more than any other place I’ve ever been to! Good/chill music at a soft volume. There’s a book shelf and games. Some outlets to charge with. The bathroom need to be cleaned pretty badly.. but overall worth the visit!

Came here for breakfast and ordered the breakfast sandwitch with the following as options: turkey as protein, swiss cheese, pesto sauce. The sandwitch tasted fine, if anything, I would have liked it added a bit more of the pesto sauce.Also had margarita panini but the cheese was way too few cheeses. As for the drink, ordered a 16 once latte topped with some cinnamon powder but sadly the latte was too light (an extra shot would have made it better).Good customer service and free wifi available.

I went in there this past summer and it was such a cute shop. The food was good and the workers were very kind. Especially this one named Givino. When he took my order we locked eyes and I fell in love. It was love at first sight. His soft brown eyes reminded me of savory drip coffee that they offer, his hair was blonde like the honey that I put in my coffee to make sweeter. His voice was soothing just like chai tea on a warm summer day. 10/10 would recommend falling in love with this man. I mean the coffee shop. Xoxo p.s. that Alou girl deserves a raise.

Kettle is a nice spot for an afternoon cuppa on Grand Ave. I loved the variety of teas and they make a pretty good cortado, too. They even gave an accompanying cup of sparkling water to cleanse your palate! The açaí bowl (pictured) is delicious. The service was good, though there seemed to be a slight lack of interest or enthusiasm. However, it is a nice café experience for taking a break with friends or just to chill out.

I want to love this place more; the spot is great, food and drink are excellent, and the service is professional and kind… but I can’t stay inside there because they always are playing crazy pop music on full blast. I typically go to cafes to read/work and even with my headphones, their music is way too loud. Unfortunately, I’ll only be coming in for takeout when I can which is a real bummer because otherwise this would have been my favorite spot.

New owner is making some wonderful changes! I tried an iced honey lavender latte with oat milk and I was very impressed. I learned that the coffee beans are roasted on-site so the espresso is always insanely fresh! I also ordered the Soph Toast and I was very impressed with the quality and portion size for the price. Great value and not to mention both items were delicious. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Kettle to anyone looking for amazing coffee and light bites in the area!

My mother ordered their seasonal flavored latte, and it was served on a wooden platter with soda water and a mint. I ordered a hot mocha, and it was pretty good with cinnamon. It was a great experience and were definitely going again:)Edit: I come here very often now, changed the four star to a five! The staff is incredibly friendly and their acai bowls are definitel my favourite, especially when the granola is fresh out of the oven.. Do yourself a favor and go!Brought my whole family in after a hike nearby and we left with full happy bellies.The atmosphere was absolutely splendid, warm and welcoming. Genuinely one of the best lattes i’ve had, high quality coffee and the flavor was so scrumptious I could’ve sat and had 3 more! All their syrups are one of a kind specially made in house. I ordered the “Bussin” avocado toast with egg and ate every crumb. Prices are so reasonable which is refreshing and unlike other avo toasts this came on TWO big whole slices of fresh dough with homemade pickled onions!I will be most definitely be coming back as often as I can, the owner and staff are the cherry on top!(Can’t tell if I like the owner or the coffee more ☺️)Escondido is one lucky town to have this gem ❤️❤️

The kettle is definitely a cute place to meet with a friend or study. I’ve gone there several times in the past but I was disappointed with the last few visits. The matcha latte was very mediocre. I ordered it with lavender and couldn’t taste it at all. I probably won’t be going back anytime soon because it’s not worth the price to me.

This place is awesome. I came for the first night where they served adult drinks as well as their great coffee. I ordered the wine flight with the adult lunch box which is a fun interpretation the charcuterie board. The wine was great, especially the Chardonnay. And the lunch box was a great accompaniment.I also had a fun conversation with the owner who is a super chill dude with a clear passion for coffee. Sit at the bar if you want to talk to him or the baristas to learn more about the coffee you drink.I highly recommend coming by here if you are looking for a late pick me up. It’s my fav coffee joint, and will be a fav after work chill spot as well.

Lots of seating, with areas that would be great to socialize in and also an area for studying.Got an iced mocha, they used a syrup but its higher quality (I think), not overly sweet, more of a cacao vibe to it than normal. Its amazing that one of my favorite places to read, write, and research is less than 5 miles from where I live. The ambiance is great. Peaceful. Not distracting. I really enjoyed the turkey wrap that I ordered. I didnt know what to expect and it was really awesome. The wrap was rather large and cut into halves. Kettle is downtown Escondidos stop for good, local coffee. Theyve got ample seating, nice staff, and a good selection. Prices are moderate for the market, and definitely reasonable. Ive yet to get a drink there that I havent liked!Only thing that would make it perfect for me would be if they were open a little later. However, I understand that everyones gotta get home sometime, and after dark can be a bit odd in downtown.

I dont get it. Maybe its just me (it frequently is). I dont think their coffee drinks are that great. The service is always glacially slow. It was, before COVID, a place to sit and hang out. So there was that. And now, with some outdoors place to squat I suppose thats back but overall, I think there are better options where the staff isnt so tediously, condescendingly, slow. We should slow the pace of life down. We should spend more time enjoying things. Problem is, for Kettle, waiting for your average drinks probably isnt one of those things we needed to spend more time doing.They could easily get better. Great not so little cafe with a roastary.Stopped here to get some work done on my way back to San Diego. I pick Chelseas brain a little bit and she seem to know a lot about coffee and the espresso of the day. Kettle is a nice coffee and tea place in Escondido. Whether youre going for breakfast, or going to study/work, youll find it cozy as can be. The tea selection is really great. I also love their espresso, but not a huge fan of the brew. Ive been coming here for just over a year, and the other day I decided to grab a latte prior to my morning clinical. I ordered at 7:40 and waited until 8:10 for my iced latte. It was apparent they were understaffed at this time, and it certainly wasnt the baristas fault as he was hustling to get everyones drinks out. Give Kettle a shot as the atmosphere and quality is worth it, just dont bank on grabbing a quick cup of joe.

Coffee is tasty and food is good, service friendly and informative. Given the economy and the fact so many are out of work, the price is a bit outrageous for those of us who are struggling. But if you and a friend are just looking for a place to sit n talk and have a small snack, you can share a sandwich with your coffee. I just found it interesting that a negative review showed up only after I placed my own review, it was not showing beforehand.

The strawberry lemonade had crushed strawberries at the bottom - always a sign of quality. The rose lemonade was delicately-flavored, and not overwhelming. We asked that the turkey sandwich be toasted, a request that they obliged. It was perfect, and the condiments did not overtake the rest of the sandwich (topped with tomatoes, greens, and mustard).Bonus: they have cookies made by The Cravory. Yum!

They have just begun to roast their own beans which provide a relatively low acidic, chocolate taste with hints of fruit; makes for a fantastic espresso if you are into that. Their mixed drinks are also artistically delicious; all around good craftmenship.The staff is also very friendly and helpful. They are always a pleasure to talk with, and helpfully knowledgable on the local area.The Kettle is also a great place to hangout with friends, family, have casual business meetings, or catch up on some studying for any classes if you are a student.The Kettle is definitely worth a visit!

Probably Escondido’s biggest disappointment. Kettle has so much potential and is a could be gem. Sadly this place is consistently understaffed and often with staff who are poorly trained. Im a Coffee Snob, I home roast, have lots of espresso and coffee brewing equipment in my kitchen, and I dont drink bad coffee. This place uses a kyoto drip tower for their iced coffee brewing, it makes excellent coffee. They use Klatch coffee, a great roaster with coffees that are better than what I can roast at home. This place has great atmosphere, great customer service and as Ive mentioned, excellent coffee.
