Joseph Olson was a great Agent to work with when buying my home in Gold River. He was referred to me by my daughter and son-in-law and he helped them sell their home in The Pocket area and buy their current home in Gold River. They were as appreciative of his attention to detail as I was when going through the process. He will also be my Agent when I sell my current home in The Pocket area.From the beginning of my interaction with Joseph, I felt that he was working for me and understood what I wanted and needed in a new home. He was always available when I had questions (I had a lot!) and his answers made sense to me. Some agents treat their clients like clients and I did not feel that with JosephHe was always willing to drive me to houses, even when it was pouring rain. He pointed out both positive and negative things in houses that I hadn’t realized, which I appreciated so much. Working with Joseph was a true pleasure! My husband and I, as first-time homebuyers, were intimidated by the process. After speaking with Joseph over the phone we felt well-equipped to start searching for properties with his assistance. We reached out to Joseph right before he went on vacation, nonetheless he continued to be helpful and responsive, even while traveling.Some of Joseph’s qualities that we appreciated the most were his proactive communication, thorough explanations of all the steps in the home buying process, professionalism, and honesty. Joseph helped us find a wonderful home that was within our budget and his invaluable communications skills, especially with the listing agent and inspectors, made the entire buying process feel easy. Lastly, Joseph provided us with several recommendations for reliable electricians, plumbers, contractors, etc.We feel very lucky to have found a realtor that made the process not only easy, but fun! I can’t recommend Joseph Olson enough. We just bought our first home, and he supported us all the way through the process. He communicated regularly, asked “the right” questions to make sure he understood what we were looking for, and was really open about the downsides of properties (ie: busy streets, freeway proximity). He is really familiar with neighborhoods, and was able to give us accurate ideas of what types of homes, square footage, yard space, etc. we could expect in the different neighborhoods we were looking at. He’s friendly, easy-going, and trustworthy. Work with him – you will be really happy.

We met Joseph in 2019 at an open house. It wasn’t until late 2019 when we contacted him to look at buying our current home. He was spot on through out the process, and we couldn’t have been happier. Thorough, thoughtful and just an all around great realtor and human being. Life goals changed and we decided to move in 2023. We listed out house with him and it sold the first weekend. He thought of everything, kept us informed and the process was quick and uneventful, other than the end result which was cash in hand. A great event on that. He is the greatest! Couldn’t be more happier.

We were never in dark about the process of buying or selling and he was more than willing to answer ANY questions we had. Since our random encounter at an open house, Joseph has become a dear friend. Joseph is just flat-out an amazing agent and all-around super nice guy. We knew there would be a lot of challenges being out of state buyers, but trying to buy a house during a pandemic and in one of the hottest real estate markets in the country as well really proved to us the value of working with a great agent. Joseph is hands down the best we have worked with in our nearly 20 years of real estate transactions in multiple markets. He really took the time to help us identify what we wanted and needed in a home and was just awesome in helping us find the right home, get into contract, and (most importantly) made sure the whole escrow process ran smoothly. Throughout the whole process he was extremely responsive, and his thoughtful insights and feedback were greatly appreciated. Although he represented us as buyers, I know he would be just as great representing sellers as well and would not hesitate to work with him in the future.

There are no spiels or catch phrases, just a straight forward approach to finding the right house.What we appreciated the most about working with Joseph were his communication skills (always keeping us informed about what to expect) and his ability to keep us optimistic, even when we were outbid on multiple listings and felt defeated.Buying a house is incredibly stressful. You need someone who can walk you through the process with a warm demeanor. As first time home buyers, we asked a lot (and I mean a lot) of questions. I highly recommend Joseph Olsen as a real estate agent.I purchased my first home with Joseph throughout the processes he looked out for my bests interests, insuring I found the right home for my needs. This was especially important as I am a wheelchair user. I went into this home buying process intimidated and afraid of the magnitude of a mortgage. Without his reassurance I likely would have passed up the wonderful home I purchased. When it came time to finalize the purchase, my anxiety over acquiring a mortgage had been quelled. He communicates well and will educate you on the many foreign concepts of real estate and home loans. Joseph is an excellent agent, who is genuinely interested in helping secure a better financial future for his clients. You’ll find him to be a joy to talk to and personable.

Joseph Olson repeatedly went far beyond the call of duty in helping us find a home within our limits, and showed exceptional professionalism, rapid responses to our inquiries, and patience in explaining the procedural details of buying a home. As out-of-state buyers, we had limited opportunities to explore options in person (particularly with travel restrictions associated with COVID), but Joseph sent us weekly links to appropriate listings beginning in September that continued until we could visit homes nine months later. This time frame allowed us to understand in advance the kinds of offers relative to asking prices that were needed for a successful home purchase, prepared us to recognize the range of properties that met our needs, and gave us the opportunity to research homes and neighborhoods’ features. Joseph is a great listener. He asked us probing questions over this period to narrow his understanding of what was most important to us. When we were finally able to travel to California and visit homes, his perceptive advice allowed us to find a home that we really liked during our first day, make a persuasive offer (including a picture of one of us with the sellers’ friendly dog) that the sellers accepted, and negotiate after the home inspection results came through.Joseph’s provided effective support for the remote handling of the labyrinth of home inspections and electronic signatures, which were complicated by the failures of couriers (on both ends of the country) to send hard copy documents to the right title company offices. Fortunately, Joseph checked in periodically with the title company, and he and the sellers’ agent worked together to locate the signed closing documents and arrange for them to be delivered in time for closing. Joseph’s support for us continued after closing on the house, as he arranged for removal of a spa that we did not want and steered us toward excellent contractors for minor renovations needed for us to customize our new home. Although we have had good experiences with other realtors in the past, Joseph Olson stands out as the most knowledgeable, honest, friendly, and helpful we have ever worked with. He is exactly the kind of person you want in your corner.

I wasn’t planning on buying a house just yet when I came to one of Joe’s open houses. Neither was I expecting to make a friend that day. When I did find a house a couple weeks later, Joe connected me to a great mortgage company to get pre-approved in the short period of time that offers were being accepted. Then after a short close, I was able to call that house my home. Through it all, Joe was there to guide me. Joe just has a way of making his clients feel comfortable, even at a time when making the biggest purchase of one’s life can be stressful and demanding. He is in his element when it comes to real estate. I gladly share my experience with Joe in the hopes that he can make home-ownership possible and enjoyable for others just like he did for me.

Over the years we’ve moved A LOT and worked with 10 realtors in two different states. Joseph is--by far--the best! We would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an ethical, communicative, detail-oriented, highly personable agent. Friends looking for a new house in Sacramento recommended their realtor, Joseph Olson, to me when I too decided to purchase a condo in Sacramento. I came into the process as a first time homebuyer, having done some preparatory research but mostly ignorant of the process. Joe was the consummate professional: kind, friendly, and respectful of my preferences and financial limits.He set up showings, gave me a good sense of what was possible in my price range, and ultimately walked me through every step of the purchase process. Along the way he gave me detailed explanations when I requested them and didn’t pepper me with details when I’d had enough.He neither pushed me to take steps I wasn’t comfortable with, nor held back on advice when I needed it. He was near-instantly responsive to calls, texts, and emails, and he ran interference for me with the selling agent, an HOA, and the tenants who were still living in the place I sought to purchase.Throughout it all, Joe was supportive and informative—just what one needs in a realtor. I honestly can’t recommend Joe enough.We entered the early 2022 market as first time homebuyers with a modest budget, very nervous about the journey ahead. We knew we needed an agent that was not only highly qualified, but someone with real integrity who was ready to work for us. We interviewed several different agents and knew immediately Joe was the right person for the job - you can tell he is genuine and knowledgeable (not to mention fun to talk to!) Our situation was a little bit tricky, with some loan lock problems, a tenant that made viewing & closing on the property difficult, and a few other issues getting into our home. He deftly navigated through these waters with integrity to all parties and a smile on his face. In seeking a listing agent I interviewed many prospects. All were experienced with local market knowledge, but only Joseph Olson was a match. He weas extremely helpful and guided me though the process especially during this pandemic. He presented me with a very comprehensive book with comparable and other local facts that helped me sell my mothers house. Since I live some distance from the target house, he kept in touch with me almost on a daily basis. He stopped by the house and executed chores such as installing a fire alarm device and touching up paint. I also had some issues with the deed and the trust htat he successfully helped to resolve. I truly appreciate this young man aggressively working to make things easier for me. I wholeheartedly recommend his and will use him in the future. Kudos to this agent and to Dunnigan Realtors.
