Variety. Thats very noticeable here. Employees are friendly, and helpful. Managers come and go, the key is the employees, all credit to them. Jons seems to have a high turn over of managers over time, I wonder why?

The best JONS market in the SFV! Produce and meat are fresh, service is friendly, and best of all, the Sasoun Bakery, has the best service hands down. The lady with the red hair is the nicest! Lahmajoun and cheese boregs are delicious and made fresh in the back. They are not displayed in the front (which is okay) 👍They have an excellent selection of international wines, liquors, and beers, chocolates, pastries, and flower bouquets too.This location beats the 2 locations in Van Nuys by a landslide.I’ve started to come here on Saturdays more and more.Thank you!

I remember back when the cashiers or other staff members would bag your groceries. They may as well just have more self checkouts instead of cashiers since the customer does all the work anyways. May as well have the customer restock products and do inventory.

ALL JONS STORES. BEFORE COVID THEIR PRICES WERE REASONABLE AND THE MEAT SPECIALS WERE FANTASTIC. BUT NOW THEIR PRICES INFLATION OR NOT AND THE FACT THAT MANY STORES ARE JUST PLAIN DIRTY....ID RATHER GO TO VONS OR RALPHS SINCE THE PRICES CAN SOMETIMES EVEN BE CHEAPER AND THEYRE CLEANER. This establishment was made aware they are selling moldy bread 2 days ago and have done nothing other than claiming one other loaf was thrown out.What they should have done was to pull that batch (maybe ten loaves? ) but they are too negligent and dont care if another person buys it,eats it, and gets sick.Since management has decided not to do anything about it, I have contacted the correct parties and will make sure to never bring my business here again. (On average I spent over a couple hundred dollars here most months loyally).The loaf has an expiration date of 5/18/18. It was purchased and consumed on 5/14/18. After vomiting violently I contacted the store and requested the supervisor that night. I was told by a female manager that I can drive the bread back for a refund.My contact information was not requested so obviously I received no call back from the head manager about the situation or a check in to see if i felt any better after getting very ill due to their negligence

This Jons was remodeled. Its a very nice Jons. Big isles, clean, lighted well and a lot of selection. The remodel made a world of difference, I was impressed and found something I was looking for that I couldnt find in 3 other store. Check this one out. It also is in a plaza and there is plenty of parking. Also great customer service 👌. Its the nicest one Ive been to now.

I usually go to other Jons in silver lake today I was around this area, I like it at first very organized and clean, but once I got in line to pay it was a nighttime the Armenian cashier was taking forever talking to her friend the name of the cashier was Parvin, please management do better .

Fantastic experience. Was looking for smoked white fish. Jose the manager called all the stores near by and was not able to find any. Called the supplier for same day delivery and I had my fish by 2pm. Never have I ever seen and experienced such professionalism and amazing customer service. Thank you Jose!

Good fruits and vegetables, prices not too high nor too low, the current management not so good, the other day I was in the line for like 20 minutes, only one cashier working and she didn’t even know how to do many things so they were teaching her how to do it while we were in the line, the manager then came and told her that she didn’t have to rush for them(meaning us), so we were patiently trying to pay staying in line for 20 minutes and the came this guy saying that? Terrible manager… and why don’t they teach their employees how to do things before putting them to work? So we all can use our time better

Had a terrible experience today. I’ve been a loyal customer for years as it’s conveniently located by the church. I was stopped by the manager outside the store and asked if I paid for my groceries since another customer accused me of putting things in my bag. I don’t know who that customer was if it’s a race thing since I’m Latina that crossed my mind. Even the other guy working there said they should not have approached me without proof. This happened at Store#24 on Sherman way and spent 74.38 as shown by my receipt. I was ready to return every single thing I bought there but since I was already on my way I simply decided to never go back there again. Shame on the manager and the customer who falsely accused me. You just lost me and my family as customers. There are too many other options to bother going to a place like that anymore.

My current review: I am so disappointed in the way this market now treats its customers. I used to like shopping here and after the poor treatment I received today, I will not be returning. Service is slow and unwilling to be helpful. Management doesnt care. This place is the worst.My old review: Nice friendly people every that works there will go out of there way to make sure you find what you need the lines may move slower but the service you receive more than make up for it. Keep up the great work guys ! All stores should be more like this one.

Well, the cashier was persistent in not understanding my choice of payment, which was to divide the total between two cards. Sambhoji was her name and if l am not mistaken she was Indian. I understand she may not speak English very well but she had attitude, l was thinking she understood what l said as she came over to my side and pressed purchase for me as if she is an expert and this is what l want, l was going to ask for the store manger and have them ring the items again and process the transaction as l wanted, but because my mother told me not to, l just left while hearing the cashier saying something about God and patience!I think Johnny, the store manager need to talk to her and guide her to ask for assistance from her coworkers when she doesnt understand the customers need.This was ridiculous!

Clean and organized. Though not appearing to be large, it has everything. The meat/seafood department is well stocked with fresh and very reasonable priced items. They have a large produce section filled with not only the usual but a great variety of very fresh items. The deli is loaded with a variety of meats and cheeses, all fresh and of the best quality.

It’s 7:02 the 3 open cashiers are 7- 8+ deep & the manager is hiding in his little box instead of being on the floor helping. This is one of my favorite markets to go to. They carry many items and you can often find some good deals on different days. This is pretty much the best way to shop. If you look for their deals you can end up saving some cash by paying almost the same that you would pay at other places where you buy items in bulk. If you dont look out for their deals their prices are fair enough to where you are not paying too much for them but they can add up quickly in this way and you will walk out with less items and feel that you have spent more.Their produce area has a diverse selection. On a good day, with their specials, you can get a bunch of bananas for a good price. They also sell cakes, pastries, as well as other items you will normally find at any other market. Their working hours are pretty good too.One of the favorite reasons why I like coming to this market is that they sell flowers. You can either get them potted or cut in a bunch. Their prices are really good and if you look at the back section you will find dying flowers for about a dollar. This is probably great if you are buying flowers for yourself but not so great for a gift. The regular flower items do make great gifts at affordable prices. If you really feel like spending ridiculous amount of money, like in other shops, you can also find fancy arrangements here. Often times you are just spending a bunch of money just because its in a nice overpriced vase, but then again thats the same reason everywhere else. They also carry a lot of succulents for about $2.Their bakery is pretty decent. You can get a couple of items for a dollar. The bread is also good. What I really like is their flan. You can buy a slice for about $4 but its pretty good. You just have to make sure you dont spill it and make a big sticky mess. Its best if you put a bag over it. The best deal is just to get a whole flan which is about $12. You basically get an extra slice this way. Their chocolate covered strawberries are good too. Just make sure that if you have a girlfriend or significant other, to just eat it all before they see them. Apparently people find these to be seductive and might assume that you are using them for such with seductive reasons, possibly with another person.Their grilled chicken is not too bad either. Just be on the look out for the best looking one. Otherwise you can ask them when they are making fresh ones.All in all this place is very convenient and a good place to get flowers for gifts at a reasonable price.

One trick Ill tell you is if you go somewhere between 10 a.m. and noon, you usually get the butcher to cut up the best fresh meat for you... because it hasnt sold out yet.Also, the staff inside of the deli counter is always helpful, always nice. I think they might have added a new guy, kind of tall, who really goes above and beyond the Call of Duty. Service with the smile!Good quality vegetable selection, very affordably priced. Definitely 30% less than some of the more bigger stores like Ralphs or Vons.

This is my favorite Johns store. Although is more expensive than other markets around the area, I think the quality of the food is worth paying more. Overall it feels like a 3rd world medium sized supermarket. Actually worse, and on top to use the restroom, store manager asks for your drivers licence to be surrendered while you use it and they keep it on top of their managers desk for anyones mercy! This was one of my favorite food markets in Reseda but after today’s experience with one cashier, it has become the worst place I will never shop there again. I was purchasing some sodas with my daughter who at the time forgot her mask in the car, we got to the cashier when I realize she didn’t have her mask on. I told her to run and get her mask in the car, at the same time the cashier started yelling at me telling me we can’t serve you because you don’t have a mask I had a mask on but she refused to attend me, telling me you must wear a mask, I told her I understand but you don’t need to yell at me or my daughter. My daughter left the store and the cashier started scanning my items but with a nasty attitude. She made me feel so unwelcome. On top of all she when to tell her manager and she kept talking out loud looking for a fight.This is why I am writing this review.

The prices in the flyer were not accurate on the sales floor! Also, the cashier rung up several of my produce items wrong, and she was rude when I mentioned it politely. The bagger put half of my items in a bag and left the others on the counter and walked away. The prices in the international section are reasonable, but most of the other items can be found a lot cheaper elsewhere. Not a big fan.

There is an express line if you have just a few items. Nice. The deli has lots of popular items. The produce section has fresh herbs. I get many bottles of olive oil at discount prices. The mgt & staff are helpful.Everything about JONs is good to great. But the prices keep going up and my income stays the same. I dread the day when the store is too expensive for me.I will miss JONS. I found culantro there & could not find it at 5 other super markets.Also, for many many years, Ive bought olive oil there. Best wishes.

This place has the exact same brands as the big name stores but at a substantial discount. Everything in here is the same high quality stuff: meat, fresh fruit, etc. that youre looking for. Dont waste your time or your money at the big name stores. Take the time to come here and save. I was a Vons purist for years. I always thought that you get what you pay for. But then I found that I could get the exact same things, not similar, not kind of like, not almost the same, but the exact same things here for a lot less money. Needless to say I havent stepped foot in a Vons in a while...

Please avoid going here if possible. The staff is extremely rude, not worth spending the money on. It’s overcrowded and the prices are just average. I will never be visiting this place again. I left my credit card in the car, and they wouldn’t let me go get it. An angry woman started putting my groceries away, telling me they would go bad if I didn’t come back but I was only going to get the money. Do not go here, there are plenty of other places around where you can be treated decently.

The customer service of the night shift manager is not professional. Example when asking for an item and they do not have it, she does not gives rent checks for it( that is not the problem) but asks for the department to make some right away and tells to customers that “if you want this item you have to Waite 20-30 minutes. This is the usual way of us doing business.” Which is a lie because the other Jons are not like that.The worst part is that she did not even smiled or tried to communicate and apologize for the Waite time.Honestly I will never go there again, because of the way the manager is acting ( I believe a manager represent the business. She represented poorly.)

The manager here is a huge ass hole . Twice Ive come in and was followed by the security guard almost my whole visit . The bald headed looser of a manager would poke his head out every few minutes. I hate giving them two stars because this is where I go because it’s so convenient. I can walk here. But every time I’m there I ask myself WHY?!I’ve cut into several apples to find them rotten on the inside. Gross. When I ask the staff if there’s more of a particular item in the produce section the answer has so far always been NO, I’m not confident they bother looking and I get it, maybe the broccoli was for sale that day or maybe everyone wanted creme of celery that day! Sure, I’ll buy it (actually I couldn’t). But the seemingly lack of produce knowledge from the produce staff and relative unprofessionalism of the register clerks I’m not confident they want customers. They just do...because...food...me hungry...I buy. Valley Marketplace is my go to when I feel like driving or not getting angry. Jon’s is where I go when I don’t care about waiting in lines or because if I don’t get that whole gallon of ice creme in my hand RIGHT NOW, I’ll change my mind.FYI - Stay out of the bathrooms unless you’re about to have an accident.

I purchased a watermelon yesterday. When I cut it open the same night, it was rotten. I went back to the store the next day on my way from work to ask to exchange it for another one. I took a picture of it, since I did not want it in my car the whole day. I spoke to the manager, Maria Valdez, but she refused to give me another one. She said I had to bring in the rotten one in order to exchange it. REALLY!?!? I told her I put it in the trash. Clearly she saw the picture of the spoiled watermelon. I couldn’t believe it. Like I really want to cheat the store out of a $3 watermelon?? It’s not the first time I bought spoiled produce from there. Just never thought to go back and get an exchange. Never shopping there again.

I was here today. They have great produce but the management is not the best. I went to complain straight to the manager that when i walked to my car with my cart, the wheels of my cart got blocked. I understand that having a perimeter is necessary because people take the carts to their home. I asked the manager to make the perimeter all the way to the back of the parking so that people dont have to carry their produce from the cart to the car. I was carrying my 2 year old and had 50 items to carry to my car (about 20 feet) and had no bags. The manager didnt care much, he didnt offer a solution and responded that this is the rule and he didnt even try to solve the issue.

Very organized market. You find so many selections of middle eastern food and products. Prices are okay for the most part. I would say fruit and vegetables are cheaper than most places for what we got. When liquor go on sale thats the best thing I got the Hennessy VSOP for $43.99 which is incredible. therefore, you need to keep an eye on their weekly adds. However, they might need a security guard specially for these people that smokes right by the entrance. I like this market

A regular evening of grocery shopping, only to be aggressively followed by a security guard who verbally accused me of stealing in front of a whole store full of shoppers from my own local community and loudly told me not to come back to the store again.It was a humiliating experience .When I brought this to the manager, he immediately justified the security guards actions, refusing to acknowledge/apologize for the mishap.Even more disturbing, after being humiliated in the store the security guard kept following me through the aisles as I made my final purchases, which was extremely uncomfortable.Also, on a separate occasion this month, at the checkout lane I almost had to call the manager because the cashier all of sudden decided she didnt want to bag my groceries. I had to ask her twice as she completely ignored my first request. Definitely the single most uncomfortable shopping experience I have ever had.Moving forward I will no longer support Jons. I will now go out of my way to support the Ovallarta near my college.

Life in the Lake Balboa/Reseda neighborhood would be very much improved if there were a better supermarket on Sherman Way. I bought my Fuji Apples and plums and Watermelon, Cilantro. I bought my Hot Sausages and frozen salmon. The grocery is very clean. They have fresh chicharons too. The produce is fresh . The meat section is excellent. They disinfect our carts and they practice social distancing at the registers. They have Jamon Iberico and Jamon Serrano and assorted European milk dark chocolates. Customer Service at the deli and pastry section are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Service is Fast at the registers.

I challenge you to supply me with a better recepi for the following.Jons freshly baked bread, spread some Phily cream cheese over it, place some slices of Pick salami and top it with Lappi slices and throw on some greens or better yet red bell pepper and your wonderful sandwich is ready.
