Jon was absolutely amazing to work with. We felt so supported throughout the entire process of buying our first house. We truly felt so taken care of. We were blown away by Jon throughout this entire process! In our 2-month home buying journey he was consistently thoughtful, patient, honest, thorough, and so kind. Wow! Jon and Chris worked with us for over a year to make sure we got the exact house we were looking for. It was us, not them, that made the process take so long. We knew what we wanted and weren’t going to settle for “good enough.” We have been in Ojai for almost 10 years and plan to stay and just wanted to find a place that would grow with us. My wife wanted to be close to town. I wanted enough land to do some permaculture. We got both! Jon and Chris are no longer our realtors. They are our friends. I can’t say enough good things about Jonathan and the sale of our house! He was there for us with a short timeline and a very specific property or so we thought. How about I just share a list of proactive problem solving Jonathan did to make this deal happen within 120 days.-Before we even listed Jonathan had multiple visits to the Ventura County for meetings to gain clarity for everyone involved with regards to the land use, surveys, permits etc.-Jonathan and Christopher spent every weekend for 6 weeks straight on the property in the heat of summer showing the house, following up with people that came thru but all the while knowing the kind of client this property might be a good fit for. Jonathan and Christopher have true local knowledge and this was very beneficial throughout the entire process.-Jonathan had a professional photographer shoot amazing photos for the listing, they made a video edit with drones etc. bringing high production value and showing the house and landscape from all angles, Jonathan even had a horse brought to the property, no lie.-Jonathan and Southeby’s distribution of content to all property listings and media outlets was well thought out in advance of the listing.This made a quick and effective impact on viewers i.e. nationwide mls, local magazines, social media, YouTube.-Jonathan and I had a standing 9:30-10:00 am phone call for roughly two months straight where all questions and concerns were discussed, having patience and knowing his stuff, he could explain the process to us since it was our first house sale. He would hunt down the answers and most times have the intel same day, his communication and consistency gets stellar marks!-Jonathan coordinated and attended all on-site surveys and inspections at the property, discussing bids with contractors for preposed credits upon sale of the house.-Jonathan stayed on top of the overall timeline which can be tricky when it gets to the financing but the team Southeby’s has in place to deal with Title and Escrow was outstanding and a vital part of the process, Jen Henry has so much experience, your in great hands.Alright you get the idea, I am a huge Jonathan Riddell / Southeby’s Fan, I can 100% say this deal would not have happened without Jonathan at the helm !
