This was my third experience with John Padilla Plumbing, and Brandon has been the technician each time. I requested him specifically because he did an outstanding job during his first two visits. I needed a new shower valve and faucet handle, and once again, he did not disappoint. He called to tell me his estimated time of arrival and arrived as promised. He is very personable, professional, respectful, efficient and detail-oriented in terms of making sure his work space is just as neat and clean when he finishes as it was when he began the job. And, he brought and wore his own shoe covers as he remembered that I requested he wear them during previous visits. That alone did my heart good as I am a slave to my white carpet. Also, he is extremely cognizant of the fact that, since I live in a condo complex, the water needs to be turned off and that affects several of my neighbors. As soon as he can safely do so during the job he turns the water back on so as to provide minimal inconvenience to my neighbors. Fortunately during this visit he did not need to drill the tile in the shower (as he did in the bathtub during visit #1 in another bathroom) but was able to access the valve by removing a piece of drywall in my walk-in closet just behind the shower. And as usual, he was extremely respectful of my belongings and went to great lengths to keep the area as neat and clean as possible. He was able to salvage the removed drywall and put it back in its original place saving me the expense of having to hire another contractor to do those repairs. I now have a new shower handle that turns on and off like a dream, and the shower head no longer drips constantly. I could not be more delighted! Brandon is an exceptional young man and a very definite asset to the John Padilla Plumbing organization. If I have any other plumbing issues in the future, John Padilla Plumbing will continue to be my go-to resource, and Brandon will be my technician of choice. My tankless water heater had an error code and no hot water. A quick check online, and it seemed like a $21 part to fix that would install in less than five minutes. Home depot did not have the part in stock, and I had no hot water, so I called to have a tech come over. I was told $89 to come look at the water heater. I declined. They called right back and said they would wave the fee. I could not have been more clear with my response -- so you will come over for no charge, diagnose the problem and give me a quote to fix it. If I agree to the price, you fix it. If I decide not to fix it, you leave with no charge? They tell me thats right. The tech arrives and tells me $279 just to diagnose it, regardless if they fix it. Triple the price of the original fee that they said they would wave, Incredibly shady. I ordered the part on Amazon and fixed it myself in a few minutes.

I called John Padilla Plumbing for a repair/ removal of a water filter system. Jose Ponce responded to my house within a couple hours. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. He identified a couple issues that I had, and explained my options. He then completed the work in less than an hour, and tidied everything up so I couldn’t even tell he’d been there. I am super happy with Jose and the service I received from John Padilla Plumbing.

I swore to myself that Id leave a review after the wonderful experience I had with John Padilla Plumbing. It was my first time with this company and it was wonderful. Ive struggled before with handymen not listening to what the issue is, and thus not fixing the problem. Brandon was the technician that helped me out and he was absolutely incredible. We had a great experience from start to finish with our main water valve and toilet issues. Easy to chat with the administrator who immediately booked us an appointment. They followed up with email confirmation and a photo of our technician. Dee, our tech, was great in answering all our questions and providing some options for us. Another great experience using John Padilla. Dee Dee, Arnold, and Anthony were all great and professional. My washer hook-ups are good to go, and they took care to make sure the dry wall was replaced and left for an easy spackle repair. It’s never fun to have to call a plumber, but this company makes it easier.

I will give John Padilla Plumbing five stars (excellent) services that was done on the main water line/water leak. Arnold Valadez gave us an affordable/reasonable price quote on my water leak issues. Hes very friendly, courteous & gave us some list of items to buy at Fergusons Plumbing. Hes very approachable and was able to give us ideas on our issues and how it is supposedly be done. Five Stars for him for being honest too on our issues.The services were done by Anthony Lopez and Daniel Cisneros(both were friendly, accommodating, skillful, knowledgeable & you can ask them on anything regarding our water leak. It was done perfectly. We are giving Anthony and Daniel a perfect score same thing with Arnold. We will recommend this company to our friends, relatives and neighbors. This company is through and does exactly what they say they are going to do. Very professional. Jose and Alexandro made a great team. Jose’s passionate about doing a good job and doing it correctly.We had a hot water leak under the slab. Jose had a big job to move all hot and cold water lines from underneath the slab to the ceiling and various other locations. What a challenge! We couldn’t be happier with the job well done.

Jose showed up bright and early today ready to tackle my poorly working shower faucet. He was a good listener and then showed me pics of what he was talking about as I know very little about plumbing. He explained my options as to how to fix the problem. Im glad he didnt try to up sell me and let me decide which way to go. So glad I listened to him. He even helped clear the bathtub drain. So happy Jose was my plumber today!

I recently had to replace my water tank heater and I chose John Padilla Plumbing for the job. I was impressed by their professionalism and efficiency. They offered me a free in-home consultation on the same day I called them. Dave, the consultant, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of my questions and helped me get a fair price. He also recommended me to switch to a tankless heater, since I have a water filter/softener system. I agreed and I am very happy with the result.The next day, they sent a crew of three experts - Juan N., Alex R., and Leo - to install the new heater. They did an exquisite job. Great customer service. Quotes were a good price by the advisors. I was a previous customer before just now writing a review. The technicians are what I believe make up the spirit of John Padilla Plumbing. Each tech was kind and caring ensuring they were going to do the job correctly the first time even when there is a warranty. I want to give kudos to Oliver because every question I had about the shower plumbing, he answered them courtesy. I felt I was in good hands with the repair; which lead me to contact them back for the repair of the kitchen and the laundry valves. Dave Brown made the repairs on our sprinkler system which involved finding and then digging down and over about a foot to find the leak. The way he repaired the leak saved us from having to jackhammer up concrete. Dave is a wonderful representative for your company. We recently had our bathroom sink partially fall through into the cabinet below. After a person could not come out to fix it I called John Padilla plumbing as I have seen their trucks many times around the complex where I live. David Acosta came out and did a no cost appraisal for a repair or the instal of a whole new sink. He thoroughly explained each scenario and which would be the best in his opinion with the long view in mind. I took time to weigh each option and when I decided and called them back Victor answered and was very helpful in scheduling David to come out and do the instal of a new sink. David told me about two to three hours for the job to be done, however he did it on less time than he said and it looks great and works even better. I would highly recommend them if you have plumbing issues. My top thing I would really like to thank John Padilla plumbing for would be the excellent communication and the timely manner in which David arrived for the estimate and completing the work.

We recently had an emergency water leak in our 8 unit condo complex that affected multiple units. We contacted John Padilla Plumbing to help us fix the leak.Sam Balladres showed up in 30 minutes. He was very clear and communicative on pricing and what he needed to do to find the leak. Recently had to replace a shower faucet that had seen better days and was hard to turn on/off. Called John Padilla Plumbing at 9am on a Tuesday and they scheduled a technician to come out at 1pm that day to give me a quote. (The faucet was not leaking so it wasnt an immediate issue.) Juan Navarro and Alejandro arrived right at 1pm. Juan explained in detail my options and we decided to replace the valve itself. As the previous home owner had grouted the valve directly to the tile with no faucet plate, it would involve cutting through the tile to get to the valve and replace it, which I expected. Juan quoted a price which was inline with other estimates I had and we scheduled the work for that Friday afternoon. They arrived as scheduled and had the job done in under 4 hours. The shower handle now turns so easily my wife said she feels she could just look at it and it would turn. Happy.In addition to being highly professional both Juan and Alejandro were very personable and great to work with..although they did all the work. Would highly recommend.

I called John Padilla Plumbing due to what was a possible gas leak due to SDG&E’s technician. At first the woman on the phone said the earliest they could come out was the following day however I stated it was very important that I have someone come out that day. She said no problem and placed me on hold for just a couple of minutes- when she came back on the line she said they would have their next available technician come out that day. I thought that was really great service! The technicians came out within a couple of hours and they were amazing from start to finish- Manny and Sam. It was a relief to have someone explain everything thoroughly, I never felt confused or duped about the repairs that would have to be done or the cost. They were professional, on-time, and friendly. The repairs took multiple days and meeting with the City inspector (even the inspectors were impressed by the quality of their repairs). This was because Manny and Sam didn’t just repair the damages they also included preventative maintenance. If I need plumbing services or anyone I know needs such services, I would 100% recommend John Padilla Plumbing- especially Manny and Sam! These guys fixed a huge water main leak at my house. We had an emergency water leak in our backyard at 2pm on a Friday afternoon. It required shutting the water off to the entire house. To make matters worse, we had an appointment we were supposed to be at.Luckily, I made the right call - to John Padilla.Brandon to the rescue! On Sept 13, 2023 I noticed my hotwater heater leaking. I immediately called John Padilla plumbing. Within a couple hours Jose Pounce was at my door. Jose was incredible, he was friendly, helpful, caring and informative. He explained everything and set my mind at ease. I was very impressed with his knowledge and people skills. Emilio did a great job helping us find the source of the leak and resolving the issue as soon as possible. He was very friendly and worked around my hectic work schedule to get this done. The minute I spotted the water mark on my ceiling I knew I needed to act quickly. To make it worse, it’s 3:00 pm on a Friday. A friend gave me the name of John Padilla Plumbing so I made the call. Thank you so much to Oliver, Martin and Leo. Who went above and beyond to make sure my issue was corrected! The water to my fridge stopped working after we had some remodeling done. These gentlemen showed up on same day, did their diagnostic test and discovered that the previous plumber didn’t complete the job correctly, not only did they get my water reconnected to the fridge, they also corrected the “hot & cold” water lines to the new sinks installed (no extra charge) and the guys also fixed the garbage disposal that had a bunch of little pieces of plastic from install that was not removed! I woke up to water to in two places in our garage. Padilla plumbing was recommended to me by contractor. They sent Julio within one hour of my call and he quickly diagnosed not one but two problems - water heater leaking and two valve leaks. Thankfully Padilla has a great water heater replacement plan that includes returning the heater that is under warranty, picking up the new one and installing. The whole project was done in 4 hours. Next Julio fixed the two leaks and cleaned up. I could not be happier with timeliness, professionalism and workmanship that was completed by Julio. I will definitely use Padilla Plumbing again.

I had a water leak that required new piping and rerouting of that new piping throughout my entire house. Of course something this extensive and expensive would cause anyone to stress out. Thanks to Emilio Gonzales and Robert Rosenberg a lot of that stress was alleviated. I literally called to get an appointment to get my sink fixed. The lady (Ann I think) kept asking me my info over and over, then she tried to tie me into some membership and is asking me for money and they havent even come to my house yet. Who pays a membership fee monthly? You shouldnt even have the many issues with your plumbing. Maybe that would be good foe an apt owner. I am more annoyed and disappointed.

Very disappointed in John Padillas over-priced services. My tenants called them to fix a toilet that wouldnt flush. They charged $418 to replace a bad fill valve (a $10 part). I asked around to other plumbers in San Diego and got quotes around $175-$275 for the same job. But my tenants had already used them so it was too late to use someone else.Also, the tech noted on the invoice other issues, like a corroded angle stop, and a rocking/loose toilet, but he didnt fix these issues during his visit. If they are going to charge a premium penny for their visits, they should fix other minor toilet issues while they are out there (and charge for materials, as needed).I tried to call John Padilla to discuss and see if there was anything they could do, they would not. They gave a speech about prices in CA being high and their costs being in line (which they are not), and they said they they dont charge by the hour, its by the service itself, so if they had done these extra minor repairs they would have tacked on more fees to the visit.Their pricing model is ridiculous. I use vendors frequently at my various properties, and I would not recommend this company or use them in the future. They are not reasonable with pricing.If you search other reviews on Yelp and Google, youll see other complaints about their crazy high prices.

Our kitchen sink was backed up and we needed it fixing fast. John Padilla Plumbing sent out a plumber the same morning. Arnold quickly identified the problem and fixed it promptly. When we asked for a new basket strainer to be fitted as well, since ours had been leaking for a while, he was happy to provide a quote and complete the job the same day - even though he had to leave to get more parts. I normally dont post reviews, but felt compelled to after having Javier and his bro Sam come out to repair the hot water slab leak in my kitchen. Javier was great. He came out to confirm the leak for the HOA, was here when the leak detection service was here, and completed the job in one day with his brother Sam. He took the time to answer all my questions while being friendly and considerate while I was very worried sick about the repair. He assured me that he would treat my home like it was his and he did. No dust or mess left anywhere after they were done. He and Sam did the whole job in one day and only had the water off to the bldg for 4 hours instead of the anticipated 8 hours. Wanted to personally take the time and share my experience with John Padilla Plumbing, Especially with Oliver G. The plumber that came to check my water heater that was leaking.The initial contact from John Padilla was prompt and quick after I put in my request that my water heater was leaking. They immediately called within 30 minutes to confirm an appt for later in the day.They advised the plumber will call upon arrival. The plumber Oliver G. Was on point! They even catered to the time I was able to be home since I was still at work when I called in the issue. He was able to coordinate with the office right there and then. He went and picked up a new unit and came back to replace it. I called on a Saturday because our water softener was leaking and instead of just coming out and getting the $350 off-hours fee he called me and had me explain the issue and send him photos. He assured me it wasnt an emergency and said hed come on monday for the normal rate. I needed a thermocouple replaced in my hot water heater. The service person wasnt really interested in doing the repair but said he would go back to his truck and return with two options. One price to replace the thermocouple and another price to replace the water heater. To replace the thermocouple would cost $565.00. To replace the water heater would cost $2500.00. Crazy prices. I told him his prices were unbelievable and that I wouldnt be using his services. I went to Home Depot and bought the thermocouple for $23.25 it took me less than an hour to replace the thermocouple. I have hot water again. Dont waste your money with this company. Theyll rip you off.

Thank you to Julio Valle from John Padilla Plumbing, Inc. After I had a lukewarm shower, I called Padilla Plumbing based on their 5 star reviews on various platforms. They had an opening the next afternoon. The gentleman on the phone gave me an estimate for replacing the water heater if that was necessary & told me their service charge would go toward any repair that they did for me. The next day, a gentleman called to say the plumber was running late & would miss the time window. What would I like to do? I opted to have the plumber come the same day if he could do it in the daylight. Julio arrived about 20 minutes later! Yay!! Julio was very professional & courteous. He tested the in-house faucets (upstairs & down) for water temperature. Then we went down to the water heater in the garage. He adjusted the temp on one of the heating elements as it was much lower than the other one. Again, he tested water temps upstairs & the water was already warmer!! From my initial meeting with Brandon, who provided an estimate for the work to be done, to his completion of the project, I could not have been more pleased or impressed. Javier and Samuel came out to investigate a trickle sound in the walls of my home. They were responsive, on time, very friendly and great at listening to my problem. They both methodically investigated the plumbing in my unit before determining one of Javiers theories was correct. It turns out my my neighbor had a slow running toilet. This is my third home renovation, and Ive used multiple other plumbers. This was, by far, my best experience. Javier is the absolute best. They do good work, are very courteous, professional, and punctual. Ive had other contractors who tell me, we dont do that, when the job gets hard, but Javier is the opposite. He finds a way to help me, even with the hard stuff (like getting heaver washers and dryers upstairs and through small doors, and fitting shower surrounds to crooked walls). They also do small things to go above and beyond expectations. We purchased a new toilet that didnt fit the space of the old one. When we figured out that the new toilet wouldnt work, Javier removed it, packed it nicely back in the box and lifted it back into our truck so we could return it. This wasn’t the simple valve replacement that I can do. Really great company. I called spoke to a really nice lady she was able to get me an appointment 2 hours after I called. When the plumber RICARDO showed up really nice professional he explained to me the issue and how he was able to fix it. He answered all my question I had in regards to the issue. Him and his partner fixed the problem in about 15 minutes very fast I saw him double check for any gas leaks. He fixed the pipe going into the gas oven now its up and running again. I would not recommend this company. Plumber told me on site he would clear the drain and give me 30 day warranty. 3 days later the drain backed up again and I called the company, they said they do not give warranty’s on drain line! I argued and threaded a bad review so they came back out and spent 10 minutes clearing the drain and told me it would be 399$ to camera the drain (which is a straight 60’ shot from the clean out to the main).Very poor job of clearing the drain and the company was just trying to charge me more. Quoted 1550$ to jet the 60’ straight line! Got another quote for 550$ from another company and was told that was the going rate. If you want to be taken advantage of, go with them.

I was in panic no company would show up kept getting cancelation So I called John Padilla plumbing and they sent out Fernando and Ernest really quick on a short notice. Julio the estimator was very good but the process to get an estimate is just a tablet with a menu pricing, based on this they could just price over the phone if you sent a pic from your phone but I feel they figure the homeowner will just accept the offer since they are on site.The issue is the pricing they offer is ridiculously high, they wanted $2900.00 to replace my 50 gallon natural gas water heater, the water heater they offer is only 6 year warrantyI hired a licensed plumber and the next day got a Rudd 50 gallon 6 year warranty water heater installed for $1100.00, did a great job and he even assisted me in filing a warranty claim on my 11 year old bad water heater that was till under Rheem/GE warranty, got $479.00 bucks back from Home Depot, Padilla was just going to throw it away.Maybe Padilla does great work but for me I do not see how they can charge those prices.It pays to shop, do not just take the first price when possible.I did pay Padilla the 89.00 estimate fee
