They had a lot of things going on ahead of me with customer selling 10 vehicles to them and also a lot of customers buying a new car . Expected the wait since it was Memorial Day weekend. But even with all that going on Edward my sells man was honest letting me know what was going on and how long it was going be. The wait honestly wasn’t too long and they made sure I was comfortable and Edward kept me updated. Honestly the best customer service I had at a dealership. Michael Kanada is the best! We found a great used truck on the John L Sullivan website and inquired about it online. Michael immediately responded and scheduled a time to come in. The day of the test drive, the dealers computer system was down so even though we knew we wanted the vehicle, we could not get the paperwork done right away. Michael worked with us on a great deal, and hit the top notch customer service bar by finding a way to get us in the truck until the computers were back up and going. Michael answered our questions about the truck, was never pushy, did not try to over-sell things we did not want, was respectful of our time (which is a big deal for me since I am always on the go), and he was our contact through the entire sale and didnt push us off to someone else. I have had really bad and really good experiences with car dealers, and Michael made this a really great experience!

Sales was great but the service end of this dealership has ruined my experience. I purchased a used truck from them on a Sunday and was told they were going to replace a broken mirror and the climate control buttons and the truck would be ready Tuesday. It was not ready Tuesday and I was then told Wednesday or Thursday. Thursday came and they said that the truck was ready only to call me back a half hour later and say that its not ready yet because they just realized they had ordered the wrong mirror. So I picked my truck up that day and told them to call me back when the right mirror came in. Once I got home, which is an hour away from the dealership, I realized the truck was out of DEF and the trucks suspension wasnt properly leveled. I could let those two things go if my experience wasnt already a joke. My sales associate John has been very helpful in my concerns but there is only so much he can do and hes stuck playing middle man between myself and the service department and manager who wouldnt return mine or my husbands phones calls when we had concerns about the mirror issue taking so long. I dropped my truck off yesterday so that they could install the correct mirror and climate control buttons but they ordered the wrong mirror again. I live an hour away and fuel isnt cheap I also have to work to pay my bills and need my truck to get to work so leaving it there for a day is a big deal. When I picked up my truck this evening my seat covers and steering wheel cover were stained all over with oil and grease as well as oil residue on my center console. Im very disappointed at the level of service I have received especially after purchasing two trucks from them in one day. I will not bring either truck back to this service department. Johns professionalism and commitment to caring for my concerns is the only reason Im not rating 1 star, he deserves to work in a location that meets his level of service across-the-board.

The first week of February I went to John L Sullivan in Yuba City, because I ordered a hardtop for my jeep that was a soft top. From then on everything went bad. My electrical started acting out if I use my turn signal my windshield wiper would come on if I use my heating and air conditioning the consul area would get very hot and my rear defroster didn’t work, I kept taking it back to figure out why those things are happening electrically, and they could never figure it out. Also, the hardtop kept leaking and they could never figure that out too. So having my Jeep with these electrical problems and me going back, trying to get them fixed for over two and half months I finally had enough when I got a call saying that there was a short in my aftermarket tow package. At that point I told them not to touch my tow package. There was nothing wrong with my tow package and I will pick it up tomorrow. When I picked it up, I checked the driver side rear lighting that they said they felt a short was in it. I unscrew the four bolts, and found that a white wire was disconnected and a thin hard plastic 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch was inserted into the slot that my light should go in with the light bulb on top of it I immediately showed it to the service guy who had been very good with me throughout all of this, and asked him to get me another female prong and the tool to attach the wire to the female prong so that it could then be attached to the male prong. I also showed him the plastic piece, put in my light and drove away. When I got back to my RV I hooked up the Jeep to the RV and everything worked fine. That’s when I decided to take it to Duncan’s Automotive in Lincoln. The following Monday I still had to go back to the Jeep dealership because they had to put the new header on. I went to let the manager Tom know what I found out about my rear light and the conversation went downhill fast. He was condescending and verbally unprofessional. He actually asked me why would someone do that to my back light when they don’t work on after market tow packages. I decided I didn’t want to go down that obvious rabbit hole and told him this was a stupid conversation and I was taking the jeep to Duncan’s in Lincoln. The first thing they found at Duncan’s was that they never put in the code to inform the jeep that it was now a hardtop, so I called the manager Tom and ask about the code which he acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. Tried to do a three-way call twice with him and Duncan’s and both times he wasn’t on the other end after I merged the calls. He (Tom) told me that he didn’t know of any code and he would have to get back to me. At that point my third call went to the service guy that had been dealing with me. He did the three-way phone call was able to get that code within a minute and gave it to Duncan’s. Then Duncan’s tried to program the brain because it needed to be programmed for all of the accessories the windshield wiper handle that had to be a new one because it would incorporate the windshield wiper hardtop and the heating and air consul which incorporated the defroster for the hardtop they found they couldn’t even after putting that code in. The reason they couldn’t is because the Jeep Chrysler dealership never put a second code that could only be put in at their service, so I had to take my jeep back to them. I called corporate to complain about what has been going on and how Tom the manager talked to me when I informed him of the way that my back light was. Once the complaints department heard everything they couldn’t believe how long it taken because this is now the end of April and this all started the first week of February so I returned my jeep to get the codes that I needed so that Duncan’s could upgrade everything. They got it all done took it to Duncan’s the following Monday Duncan’s verify that all the codes were put in properly and it seems my jeep is working just fine.After 3 weeks of trying to reach Damon Wong with no response it seems bad customer service is the name of the game there.

We were in a very tough spot but when we talked to Lyric over the phone he made made the process seem less stressful! We came into the dealership a couple of hours after we spoke with him and made sure to request him specifically because he made us feel so comfortable and like he really cared about us and our situation. The process of buying our car was the smoothest experience we have ever had. We came into the office at almost 5pm and by 6:30pm we signed our paperwork! We are currently waiting for it to be detailed so we can take it home. We highly recommend Lyric for your car buying experience! He is extremely kind, knowledgeable, professional and patient. I didn’t know that they were under new ownership, I had a really bad experience the very last time i bought a vehicle here so I’m glad they brought on new and honest staff. We bought our Durango at the end of April. We met some great people here. I feel bad because I can’t remember the name of our salesman but I do remember Nick in the finance and he is a really good guy. He went above and beyond for us. Recently we needed some fixes on our Durango and he hooked us up with a rental vehicle since we only have one vehicle. I know the old trope is people hate buying a car but I can’t see it.I inquired about a vehicle online and Jose was responsive and knowledgeable. While John was decent to work with, beware of preexisting mechanic issues in used cars. My husband looked at a diesel truck with 90k miles on it. They apparently inspected and made minor repairs. Well my husband went to test drive and noticed old and new oil dripping and splattered everywhere. My husband has 0 mechanical experience and was able to spot this right away. Makes me question the quality of pre-owned inspections.

We stopped using the service department for simple oil changes because it took 4 to 6 hours and we had to wait because of living several miles away. There was repaint work on my new truck. It definitely didnt come from the factory this way. They offered zero assistance to rectify the problem. A salesmen even came out and looked directly at the problem before I even said what the problem was. The sales manager even said its a warranty problem I have to contact Chrysler. isnt that why you go to the dealer you bought it from? If I had to do it again... definitely would not buy from them

You had my car for one day short of a month for warranty work. I repetitively complained that my alternative vehicle was costing me $140/week in fuel. No one offered a loaner vehicle. When I did get my vehicle back, It was covered in dust/filthy. I am glad your company fixed my car. I’m not happy with how long it took, or the state of my car when I got it back.

Only reason I came in was for a recall and Eric was about the only one other then the receptionist to greet me and seem interested on talking to me. I had another gentlemen say something to me and that was only after I asked about a certain vehicle and he said he would call me back and never did. He got us approved for a 2022 RAM 2500 diesel truck with a cummins and my husband was so excited to finally get his diesel that hes been wanting! Its a really nice truck, looks brand new inside and out and has very little mileage, we couldnt be happier! I purchased a diesel truck pre owned for John l Sullivan with 200k after just two weeks of having the vehicle it’s having a major issue within the emissions system and they won’t fix it because of the mileage on the vehicle they sold me. not a bad dealership just be aware if something goes wrong quick on your vehicle they may not offer to fix it. Not only did I fork out money to buy a pre owned truck from a dealership with the reassurance that their techs would’ve gone through the vehicle and I wouldn’t have any major issues within weeks of purchasing the vehicle but now I’ll be forking out more to fix it.

BUYER BEWARE! Purchased a $165,000.00 Dodge Challenger from this business, and I use that term loosely. I am located in Pennsylvania, so I needed to perform the transaction remote. First red flag was when I wired my funds, it took days for the dealer to confirm receipt. Second red flag, after funds were confirmed I was supposed to, per Paul Janicki, receive documents to be completed by myself, as well as title paperwork via overnight, business lied, never sent it the package, insisting that it was sent.. after some time, they finally sent...however....no titling paperwork, no copies for me either. I called and said no titling paperwork received answer was Its ok will be put in glovebox ...Next step was for me to have car picked up and shipped, Michelle Serpa indicated titling paperwork to be included with car in glove box. Car arrives at m location of course no titling paperwork. After many attempts, I finally reach Michelle Serpa whom now added a whole twist to the above lies... I would now need to provide the dealership of proof of delivery of the vehicle afterward the paperwork would be overnighted to me and tracking information provided....of course that never happened ....So, here I sit with a car that I, never received a sales contract. titling paperwork etc.. I can not title or resell at a profit ( that window as closed, my buyer changed mind as for prices of the model have dropped) I have no choice whatsoever then to take legal action.All I can say to potential consumers thinking of doing business with this operation is BUYER BEWARE - If I get treated like this for spending $165,000...how are YOU going to get treated.

Glad I returned it and didn’t waste that on my car. These are just kids who spray this stuff on. Oh yeah and $2700 for 12 oil changes and tire rotations over a 4 year period, what a joke. I can do it at home for a quarter of the price! Well we went back 2 days later and asked for this warranty to be removed and he pretty much told us that we were idiots! What??!! $10,000 in warranty that I can buy straight from Jeep for half, wait actually a quarter of the price! I bought my own bumper to bumper 8 yr 125,000 mile warranty for $2400! This guy was so rude when we asked that he remove them he made us sit around for 45 minutes while he ran around the building looking busy. He should have taken care of us and let us go on our way. Excellent experience. Ivan Alejo was my sales rep for a used VW Jetta I purchased. The kid has an amazing go getter work ethic. During my test drive at higher speeds the car was great but had a little vibration in the steering which I suspected to be tire balance or alignment issue. We get back to the dealership and he had his service take a look. He calls me back in an hour with the issue fixed with tire balancing. We test drove again. He would allow me to try all the road conditions I had wanted to drive in. He knew the roads you want - rough, smooth, turns, fast, slow....He was highly professional during the price negotiations and got everything done in less than an hour or so. Given a 24 year old young he has been one of the best car sales rep I came across ever.The dealership is well managed and gives personal attention to customers.

Update. I hate them every oil change is an issue.. even with an appointments. They leave tools in my car. My car has a wiring issue they wont fix..I enjoyed the car buying process. We got the service upgrade so we never have to worry about maintenance sounded good at the time. I would give zero stars if I could.The first problem was I didnt realize that they charged me for a service (Lojack) that was not even available for my car.Then, I decided to trade the vehicle in (at a different dealership), and canceled all of the policies I purchased a long with it. This was a busy week but the stress was eliminated by Amandas excellent guidance. Both the Jeep and Ram truck services were completed in about an hour each. First the service person said my car had no service plan and all oil changes had expired even though I bought a lifetime plan just 6 months ago and have only used it once. Then they found where it was covered so I didn’t have to pay over $250 for an oil change. I asked about my service warranty and bumper to bumper protection with glass chip so I could get a couple chips from rocks fixed and they said they’ve never heard of that and it isn’t covered. I asked who else I could talk to and how to get my side mirror fixed because it had been hit by a rock and they said maybe I could call parts sometime. No help. No knowledge. Incorrect information. Bad service.

Our service advisor, Tom Smith, was exceptional. He was detailed and on top of both our services. We had our jeep and truck serviced in two consecutive days. He set up the appointments so we dropped off one and the next day picked it up while dropping off the other. He kept us up to date on the progress of our services. We would highly recommend him if looking for great service.

Ive had my oil changed 3 times with John L Sullivan. I had an appointment each time, but still waited for over 3 hours. I was a walk in this last time and explained my past experience. The manager told me that if my car wasnt done in an hours time, it would be free. My car was serviced with 5 minutes to spare. I understand that with covid and other factors, employees are hard to come by, and are short staffed, but an oil change shouldnt take 3 hours, especially when you have an appointment, so I appreciate that my concern was taken seriously and I was met with understanding and professionalism. I was expecting poor service and this was the last chance I would be giving. But I was pleasantly surprised and will be going back.

Ive had the worst customer service ever after buying my truck. I bought a used truck that sat on the lot for 3 weeks that I noticed before being purchased. apparently they never went through this to check on anything that needed repairs ect. then soon taking it in for repairs that were very minimal they had my truck a week, but that was after waiting 8 hours which 4 of those it sat out back. i noticed then said something. the only person that was great and helpful was the service manager. he had to repremend 2 people for they way they talked to me or not talked to me.then I went to leave with truck and the check engine light came on. they said that was from the low Jack! I didnt want it installed or pay for it but when buying the vehicle I wasnt givin a choice. so I told them just give the money back in my loan. that was almost 4 weeks ago and no money givin back to my bank and they will never call me back so now Im down to having to send a letter of law suit for all of this. i was so excited to get a truck again but this was the 1st time in 12 years Ive delt with a car place now I never want to again. Poor poor poor people skills

I went in to get an appraisal to trade in my vehicle, just to test the waters out as I’ve been interested In a newer One, I wasn’t too or just shy of making my leap, I met with Micheal Kanada, definitely didn’t expect it but he welcomed me with true professionalism, understanding of how it works and really helped me figure out how I can make affordable payments . This rating should be 5 stars. If it were just on how Carl treated us it would be. The end of September, this year, we purchased a nice used Tacoma. (I love it.)The problem started during financing. We requested three items cancled. The manager sort of forced his opinion on how we should buy this truck.We left a bit shocked. The next morning I called the gentleman regarding the charges and worked it out for 3500.00 to be returned to my finance company. According to the documents I submitted, it would take 6 weeks to get the refund sent to my lender. It has been near 3 months and still no satisfaction. Its to bad though, up until finance we had a wonderful experience. I still believe can get this situation straightened out.

I bought a used 2013 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDi from this dealership, drove it home, turned it off and the next day the check engine light came on. I called the dealership and they said there was nothing they can do, even though they cleared a code without fixing a problem. Turns out the problem is a clogged DPF, this is a $10,000 fix, the car is not worth that and John L Sullivan dealership covered it up. They should be forced to buy this lemon back after their fraudulent business dealings. But of course this world is all about screwing over everyone and they will be able to continue their fraudulent business practices. I will never do business here again.

Drove down and the lady at the front said they wont do it because they didnt sell me the truck. I was planning on using them for all my maintenance but will just drive down to Sacramento now.

Took my 2500 in for every service due at its mileage. The service manager was a super friendly and relatable guy. He kept me updated throughout and offered to get me a shuttle since I was walking back to the dealership. Would def shop here again to get my truck worked on. My only gripe is that my truck was a little dirtier than when I got it.

Went in to get my first car today and had the most excellent experience with Brian a.k.a. “teddy bear” I told him exactly what I wanted and needed in a car and that I needed to use a trade-in car as a down payment, and he understood completely and found the best car that was right for me and made this whole experience. Stress-free even helped us out way more than he should’ve but he went above and beyond to help us. If you’re thinking about getting your vehicle serviced here, I’d reconsider. Getting an oil change takes such a long time. 2 hrs for oil change is insane.took my vehicle to YC JLS and was there for 2 hrs.and it wasn’t even a “busy” morning for them. I don’t recommend John l. Sullivan for service.

A couple of weeks ago I had to take my 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan to the dealership to get an alternator replaced. I usually enjoy doing the work myself but due to a really bad hernia I was dealing with I was not able to due the work myself. So I took my vehicle in praying that my warranty would cover it. Robert Harless was the gentleman that helped me thru the process. At first the computer at the dealership said my warranty was valid so I left my vehicle there to get fixed. Later that day I received a call from Robert saying that my warranty would not cover the alternator. I was kinda upset and told Robert that I have a 100,000 mile warranty and did not understand why or did I think that was correct. I was quoted a $1000+ bill. Robert told me he would make me his priority and figure out what was going on with the warranty. shortly after he called me and asked if I still had my warranty paperwork. I did and sent him a photo of it. Robert told me he would figure it out and call me the next morning with more info. an hour later around 8 pm or so Robert called me back and told me he did research and found that my warranty was in fact valid. He told me he did not want to go home without calling and telling me the good news. Robert could have easily said well the computer says its not valid and that was that, but he did not he actually went above and beyond to figure it out for me. I was able to get my vehicle fixed and was only charged a $100 deductible. Robert Harless Is an Amazing guy and a great asset to the Yuba City Dodge dealership. I am extremely happy with my service and am extremely grateful for Robert. He really made me a priority and went above and beyond to help me in my time of need. Thank You Robert harless you my friend are an Amazing guy.

Called for an appointment about a recall on my Jeep and was greeted by an exceptionally friendly and helpful young lady. She setup my appointment and answered all my inquiries. Arriving for my appointment I was directed to the parts department and my Jeep was brought around and placed outside the work bay. So very smooth and quick. The gentleman at the parts counter was forthcoming with additional information and made me feel quite comfortable. I apologized as my Jeep was really dirty and he offered a quick wash.. I will never go to a dealership ever again to buy a car after my experience here. The worst high pressure sales ever. It was terrible. I got home and went over my paperwork on a flash drive. They charged me for things I didn’t even know what they were. Total scam. The best part, 4 months later oil is dripping everywhere out of my truck with 8,000 miles on it. They did an oil change and didn’t tighten the oil filter. 🙄

Extremely happy with our experience here buying a used 2015 Subaru outback. I HIGHLY recommend asking for Lyric Toomer. He was the sales associate who helped us from start to finish and he was extremely informative, patient, and genuine through the process. He kept us company with great conversation while we waited for all the negotiations and financing to be approved. If Im being candid I typically do not like salesmen but Lyric is an exception to this. We never felt pressured to purchase the vehicle and the process was easy and pleasant. Lyric even took the time to follow up with us the next day to make sure everything was going well with the vehicle and that we were happy with our purchase.
