2024-05-20 16:03:16Just an update on my review from last year...Ive been seeing Dr. Kim for over a year now for treatments for my lower back pain. I have received so much pain relief from Dr. Kim. This is the only thing that ever helped my back pain, and I was initially a skeptic. Dr. Kim is caring, patient and really cares about helping you get relief for you pain. I HIGHLY recommend this clinic to anyone with aches and pains. Dont hesitate to book an appointment with Dr. Kim, and enjoy the fun atmosphere of the office created by her trusted office manager April. She is a skilled and friendly assistant and runs the office like clockwork! She makes every visit fun!

2024-06-01 17:17:29Dr. Kim and April are AMAZING! I have been in chronic pain for years with my back and neck. Medicine didn’t help, physical therapy didn’t help. I have been going to Dr. Kim for 7 months, and the results have been phenomenal. April really takes the time to get to know you and truly cares about you. I have two more sessions left, and I couldn’t be more grateful. 💕

2024-03-19 14:01:06This place is absolutely phenomenal. My son suffered from a herniated disc and sciatica and the pain was so severe he was on morphine. After a few weeks of sessions he was able to get off the morphine and every session he went from barely able to walk to being able to walk upright. He is now completely without pain and I truly believe much of that is due to the work of Dr. Jiko and their staff.

2023-11-09 19:45:07I’m very happy with this office. April is very friendly, responsive, and super organized and Dr. Kim knows her stuff but more importantly, she listens and adjusts the treatment accordingly. I’ve had experiences with other doctors (mainly chiropractors) who do the same treatment no matter what you tell them. I’ve had 18 sessions so far and I can honestly say I’ve experienced vast improvement over the past 2-3 months. My coccyx pain went from 7/10 to 3/10. I have much better range of motion (was bordering on frozen shoulder) in my left shoulder and definitely a lot less pain. Acupuncture is not a quick fix but if you still with it, you will see improvement. Tip: be prepared to wear long sleeves to cover the cupping marks lol.

2023-04-18 00:54:01Dr. Kim and April are amazing! I am a D1 track athlete and was diagnosed with a herniated disc and pinched nerve. I was told I would have to medically retire from the sport and that the most physical activity I would be able to do after healing would be light jogging. After months of doctors appointments, PT, and epidural injections, I was given the option to have surgery or try acupuncture. I tried acupuncture with Dr. Kim and April and I had more progress in one week here than I did all the months of PT and injections. Since being with them, I went from not being able to stand for 5 minutes without pain to being able to go on 2 mile runs and lift weights pain free. They are miracle workers and my only regret is not finding them sooner. I have recommended them to all my teammates. They not only saved me from having to get back surgery at 21 but they were able to bring me back my lifestyle.

2023-06-16 18:35:14When my Kaiser doctor recommended acupuncture for my spine arthritis and disc degeneration, I chose this JIKO Health as it was it was close to my place of work. Honestly, I did not have much faith in acupuncture and thought it was silly, but I was in such pain that I thought I would give anything a chance. To my surprise, I received significant relief from my pain. Nothing worked for me prior to acupuncture. Im seriously impressed. The doctor is excellent and I feel really understands my condition. The office is well run by April, and she is one of the most efficient people I have ever met. She runs the office like clockwork, and always with a smile on her face, and provides lively conversation. This place is A+! I highly recommend them!

2020-04-22 08:33:40I had severe forward head posture and heavy muscle pain so I visited this place. I was a little bit worried about my condition, but they were so kind and made me feel comfortable. Also, the doctor examined my condition thoroughly. I got acupuncture and moxibustion for treatment and got much better just after a week!

They are very open and clear as to what type of treatment they will be providing. Patient care and well being is a very high priority to them. I am so thankful and appreciative for the care that they have provided to me. I will continue coming to them for preventive measures because they have certainly helped with my ailments and improved my quality of life/health.

2022-04-29 15:37:45I grew up watching my parents get acupuncture, cupping and scrapping and never believed in this form of ‘alternative’ medicine. I have preferred medication, injections and physical therapy over the eastern-alternative medicine/treatments that I watched my parents endure.Well…fast forward…I am 45 and an active individual. I workout 5-6 days a week, snowboard, paddleboard, hike, boulder, so I know my body and my pains. In November 2021 we went rock climbing/bouldering and I ended up in severe pain. This was an excruciating pain I never felt before. The pain shot from the back of my neck, down my bicep and straight down to my fingers, causing my fingers to go numb.Of course my first call was to my MD, he prescribed steroids first. That didn’t work…then he prescribed nerve medication and anti-inflammatory, that didn’t work. I went to see the orthopedic MD and it was not an injury that needed to be ‘repaired’. I then went to see the physical medicine MD. He prescribed an increase dosage of nerve medication and a different anti-inflammatory. He said next steps would be an injection in my spine if the medication did not work. I asked him what alternatives he recommended. He said I could ‘try’ acupuncture. (Roll my eyes) Ugh! Give it 6 sessions and if you don’t see relief I should consider the injection (note: I would need to be sedated for the injection)I was very reluctant, but was in so much pain I was willing to try anything at this point. I am a Kaiser patient and looked up the directory of Kaiser approved acupuncturist.I didn’t know who I was looking for or what qualifications I should be researching. So, I did the easiest thing…proximity…I chose the acupuncturist ‘most convenient’ to my work location. I was skeptical and reluctant, so why not?First of all, April – the office manager has been amazing to work with from day one! The intake process and the explanation of all the different techniques and treatments gave me the understanding and knowledge of what Dr. Kim would be doing. April worked diligently with the insurance company to make sure my treatments continued and were covered. She continually communicated with me on the process of my claims and the authorization process.Dr. Kim’s philosophy of treating the pain has been life changing! She has introduced me to and made me a believer of acupuncture, scraping and cupping. Even though my insurance only ‘paid’ for acupuncture services, Dr. Kim treated my pain(s) beyond the treatment the insurance covered. The pain that started on my right side shifted to my left, unbeknownst to me, this can happen with a pinched nerve! So after 2 months of treatment my right side was fully functioning and the pain was gone, but now my left side started exhibiting the same pains and WORST, it was so bad I had to turn to Vicodin to be able to function.April worked with the insurance company and Dr. Kim started treating the left side. I have had a total of 20 treatments with Dr. Kim and an off of all medication. I started with 2 sessions a week, this last month I have been going 1 session a week. I am about 95% pain free, but have learned from April and Dr. Kim how to manage my residual pains on my own. I purchased my own cupping kit and perform the cupping on my arm when needed. If you are looking for pain relief through alternative medicine, I truly recommend Dr. Kim!Words of warning (not bad warning):1. wear comfortable clothes or bring comfortable clothes to change into after a session2. you might feel nauseous and light headed after a treatment (I couldn’t go back to work after a session), try not to have a treatment on a full stomach after a meal. I always kept 1/2 a banana or crackers in my car and had that after my session.3. not a painless process, breathe through the pain, it is worth it, not all pain is bad4. trust in Dr. Kim, she knows what she’s doing – go in with an open mind (it took me 4 sessions before I could trust in the treatments and have an open mind myself), they made me a believer.

2020-04-22 08:49:26I have been a consistent client atJiko health&wellbeing center for the past 6months. I’d suffered persistent upper body pain due to poor posture, being a nursing student. Exercise, PT, and medication only provide slight relief and these are alternation for temporary. I hesitated to try acupuncture as last resort. Over time, the combination of acupuncture has significantly reduced my pain and improved motility. I’m treated by Dr.Kim. She has very specialized technique, and knowledgeable professionals. This office is very relax, clean, and run very professionally. Definitely try this place out if u are having a neck or back pain.
