I like the place but I just had a horrible experience when I ordered for pick up online. I got a combination 16 along with 2 other pizzas. When you order online there are two columns where it seems like you can remove items and another column called Combo Topping List Where one would assume this would be Extra toppings due to it being separate from the remove list pictured here. We asked for no Linguica extra onions, mushrooms, Olives and bell peppers. We went to pick it up the pizza then we walked all the way back to our office all that was on it was cheese peperoni and sausage how is that a combo pizza? When my associates went to get it fixed the front desk gave them attitude and said they had to dispose of the original one so they need the pizza back. Keep in mind this was during lunch which we only have a limited time. When we finally brought back the pizza they obviously just put veggies on top and reheated the original pizza due to a slice being missing on the poor excuse for a pizza and the same slice being missing on the new pizza. DONT ORDER ONLINE FOR PICK UP AND ALWAYS CHECK THE PIZZA BEFORE YOU LEAVE.

I go here every 1st Friday to listen to live music played by N.S.A; No Strings Attached (a local band) but while there I always enjoy the Buffalo chicken pizza with added veggies, the Lemon Pepper wings and the Blue Long Island Cosmo. The staff are amazing, especially the bar tenders. The owner even helps out when they get busy.Good Vibes! Good strong drinks! Good Food! Good music! Good fun!

Waited a while in line, which I expected, not more than 10 minutes though. I was hoping the pizza would be good because I had seen the positive reviews but what I got looks like it came out of a frozen pizza box and tastes as such. Sadly disappointed.

Okay Ive been Coming to Jerrys for a While now, and these Guys Deserve my Honest Review.Jerrys is a Great Establishment, Very Friendly Faces Working both Upstairs and Downstairs. The Pizza is Phenomenal! Their Burgers are HUGE. Friendly staff, fresh food. They have different bands and dj that proform. They switch it up have genres for everyone. Ive only had vegan pizza, fries, and salad. I am looking forward to trying the full venue. I have also been to a couple brunch events They had in the past. Was happy with vegan options that were avaliable.

Highly recommend trying out Jerrys Pizza new menu and posole brunch. (Jerrys menu is nothing compared to what it was, aside from ready to eat slices still available, and a liquor license)My absolute favorite is the garlic chicken pizza. This is my favorite hang out spot in downtown Bako!!! A fun and attractive pizza+ (plus) pub feel. Music motivates you to move your body, If you know what I mean? Great menu options. You can order anything from pizza, sandwiches, fish and chips, quesadillas and birria tacos.

I just want to give props ozzy he is a great bartender I come here often with my daughter and my granddaughter and we sit at the bar and eat and have a couple drinks tonight which is Friday, 10 November at 5 PM. We come and we are told that she cannot sit at the bar with us, even though we have seven right next to the owners as they had a child with them as well, and nobody has ever told us otherwise also also I got the Jerry‘s sunshine last time like I did this time but last time I got it it was in a large cup this time it was the same price for a little tiny cup Other than that, I love the food and the atmosphere my granddaughter usually sits at the bar and colors with the crayons behind the counter, etc.. Ordered from uber eats for the first time. We got 2 6chileverde pizzas and 2 pepperoni pizza fries. EVERYTHING WAS DANK AF! 🔥🔥 alot of fast food places just slap together food when its delivery but our food was made with care and we really appreciate that ♥️ the chileverde has a nice little spice to it and super flavorful. Our fries were HEAVY, they were hooked up and layered perfectly! We cant wait to actually go and eat at the establishment itself. Its really hard to find food places that are worth the money and jerrys pizza is definitely worth it 😁

I Love this Place and the DJ is always creating up the best events which keeps the original Jerrys Pizza alive. I wish soo badly there was a Dart board here tho. Not a fancy mechanic one that costs money to play... Just a good ol steel tip felt made dart board thats free to Play on (must bring your own darts) type thing. That would really seal the deal for me here. 😁 A pool table if they wanted to be #1.. both upstairs in that cubby corner. Boom. Drop mic. SKILLZ!😍

It was our first time coming out to this place, we were looking for a place to try a chilie verde pizza for our first time, let’s just say I’m livid and our order was beyond disappointing!! We waited for a long while when the food was only sitting in the warmer in front of us for like 20 minutes we had to go up to them and ask if our food was ready. We first found that someone took a bite of our pizza and then as it comes to find out there was a sharp metal piece in the pizza as pictured below. We will never ever go back here again and if I were you I’d stay away we could have choked on that metal piece. It was definitely not worth the price and it was a waste of money now I got to throw the whole thing out.

We were cruising the downtown area looking for a good spot to eat when we found Jerrys on the map and decided to stop by for their lunch special. The day happened to be Sunday when we came by and as we ordered the live music group was setting up. The food was excellent and their calzones are absolutely divine. Came here for a music show and decided to get some food. Pizza, hamburger and Mac and cheese were great. Beer was very cold and hit the spot on a hot day. Food took a bit to get to us but not a super long wait. Highly recommended for food and beers. Music was great just not very acoustic friendly.

Ive gone to this place for a fun time and good pizza their chile verde is delicious and they took a different approach to it than L&Rs and they are both amazing because of it. the dough, the spice level, that cheese pull. just amazing stuff. Ive been to many shows here as well and even played on the stage up stairs before for acoustic jamming.

Jerrys pizza mediocre at best. The bartender worked alone, or at least it seemed that way, not the friendliest which set the tone for our visit. 2 stars for overall visit. This was our experience. The following was written in response to the owner who replied that I didnt know what I was talking about. My initial thought, thin skinned and doesnt care about the Business. As a customer I shouldnt be questioned on my experience, instead the proprietor would be wise to take into consideration my comments, not my integrity. Finally, I am not out to run a place down. My comments are merely a review of what happened during my visit. 5 stars are great but its the 2 star ratings that give insight to a behavior or operational function that requires attention with the ultimate goal of customer satisfaction. Without the customer, you die.

I used to drink beer with ol Jerry and have a slice around noon on weekdays while waiting for the call to go back to work in the oilfields. That time has SO PAST! The pizza not the same Jerry sold the place and now they have decent Mexican food if your stopping by for nostalgia you will be disappointed if you want asada fries and are too young to remember its punk days you will be thrilled its a mixed bag for gen x crowd 😉

We had a great time there. Such a friendly environment and a mix if different people and ages. It was great. Went there to watch a friend of mine play in his band. It was a all ages event so I was able to bring my 3 boys. Ages 15, 12, and 9. They loved it!! We ordered food and it was awesome! The lady behind the counter and the young man were awesome as well. They handled tons of people by themselves. I wish I would of gotten the ladies name but she was such a good worker and such a great attitude! I told her she can multitask like crazy! She was on it and handled everything with stride even though it was her at the front and it was packed. Best customer service, awesome environment! We will be back and my kids have such a good time. Thanks again for a awesome experience. Food and drink was not expensive either. Loved it!!!!

While most of the staff is chill, the owner is extremely rude.Also, the admissions process was a little confusing since the show was at the same time as another event.There appeared to be a number of technical issues as well during performances and soundchecks.Overall, not the worst venue. Honestly, the place has gone downhill. I stood there for a good 20 minutes before someone actually came to the front counter to take my order. I saw 3 employees take deer orders. For a moment, I thought it was only a bar. I waited over 30 minutes to receive my order. (Asada fries) I never got my drinks. I went back to the counter, but no one ever came. I was contemplating whether I should complain or not. The tables were very sticky and had a sour smell. Instead, I left. I did not trust eating the food, and if I complained, that would get me nowhere. Overall, I do not think the food is safe, nor do I recommend drinking from the beer mugs. But heck, my review is a personal experience. No offense, just honesty.

Legendary, and the new owners made it even better. Opened up down stairs and put a great PA, new stage lighting, and a full bar down there. It is nicer than ever. Ive been going there to see and play shows since 94. Love it! Oh, and the pizza rocks too!

So I was looking for a spot that had good food and alcohol and stumbled on this place. From outside it looks like a simple food place but when you walk you realize it is more than meets the eye. This spot is a combination of a bar and pizzeria in one. First floor is decorated for more of a family crowd while downstairs is only 21 and over, which is the basement bar. Has great food and drinks, also has life shows few times a week, Bands and such. Prices are pretty cheap too. Perfect spot to hang out with friends for drinks or take family out to eat.

My sister and I got into Bakersfield late one Saturday night, starving for a margarita. The only place that wasnt take out, was Jerrys. Being new to the area we had no idea what kind of place this was. Well it had a live band playing downstairs, and to our delight, it was 80s music. The pizza was good, the bartender was really sweet. We found it cute that these young people loved this music that we were there for the first time . Lol

I never really came here in the past. Finally started this year. Have gotten their Birria pizza and chile Verde pizza, and I must say, they were both amazing! Think Ill try the hangover burger next, but I definitely recommend the pizza at least! Horrible experience with racism at this location. I suggest POC, LGBTQ and anyone who believes hate has no place avoid this place. I’m sure they’d be happy without those customer as hate speech freely flows out of staff. Be cautious and double check your food because the statement “If it ain’t white it ain’t right” was used as a customer walked away. Today there was a gentleman performing who was absolutely amazing. Harry’s offers great lunch deals, wonderful service as well as free entertainment. What more could you ask for?Well you may not ask for it but here it is, FIRST FRIDAYS!!! Live music in the basement on the first Friday of each month. No cover charge!! The basement has been newly revamped and open tonight for the first time since the renovation. I had a sneak peek today and it has a great stage for performing. Visited for the first time on 6/18/2021 and had heard lots of good things. Sadly, that was not my experience. Service was very good, however the food was very blah. It use to be the best pizza in bakersfield. But this Sunday I ordered a extra large pepperoni pizza and I was very disappointed. Not like the authentic NY STYLE PIZZA FROM BEFORE. I would say dont listen to the bad reviewers on here. Even though Jerrys Pizza is a small place, its still a comfortable space to eat at. This is where a lot of the outsider people go to hangout, mostly because this is where a lot of the outsider underground bands play at. Its been one of the only places for the local music scene. Its not owned by Jerry any longer supposedly the recipe is still the same though.My personal experience Ive only had their drinks & slices.Drinks are a reasonable price, good amount of alcohol for the dollar.They pour the drink in front of you so you watch what your paying for.The slices in my opinion arent the same but the alcohol makes up for the nostalgia.

What can I honestly say about Jerrys Pizza. The place has been a staple of Bakersfield for a really long time. They host all sorts of music, and entertainment. The pizza is good, beer is decently priced. Theyve done some upgrades to the basement they really improved the venue. The only complaint is that its small, in a basement and in the summer it gets pretty funky in there. Too many sweaty people can stink the place up..

Sorry i have to update my past review and dock some stars. Long story short, we ended up asking for a refund and left without our food after waiting almost an hour for one item. We came back for a second Saturday in a row and ordered the same thing, breakfast pizza and cinnamon rolls. Ordered at 9:50am, before they even opened, pickup 10:30. We make our way down there, a little after 10:30, figure we give them some leeway. No cinnamon rolls and the pizzas not done yet. OK well wait. One other couple in the place, one lady in a wheelchair also waiting patiently. Around 11:10 (40 minutes after our order for one medium pizza is supposed to be done) I ask the lady walking around to check. 5 minutes she says. Okay fine, benefit of the doubt...lots of patience but the next time someone came out, a young man, our order was still in the oven and wouldnt be done for another few minutes for the egg to cook. At this point I dont think i can even enjoy the pizza after waiting this long for it. Its clear to me that they didnt even start making it until we got there. The other people in there were served but it seemed like ours wasnt started. Finally around 11:20 we told them we needed to leave and asked for our money back, 50 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready, 1 hour and 20 minutes after we ordered. Im really sad to cross this one off the list for now, it has been hit and miss in the past, last weekend was amazing, this weekend was terrible. I always give places a second chance but itll be a while.----------I dont actually drink so cant speak on the pub part but i do love food! I havent been disappointed by Jerrys yet. They are incredibly creative with their food and I cant wait to try all the options. I had loaded fries during an open mic night, have had their calzones at lunch, and ordered a breakfast pizza and cinnamon buns this weekend.
