The main portion of JCPenney is great. Of course if you look real closely, you can see some of the years. That being said, the customer service is usually great the signage to find what youre looking for is good, and the prices are decent. I bought my stuff on the app and went inside for a return, it was hot and I didnt have to pick up anything luckily (curbside). Depending on your timing, it can be a quick pick up or a bit of a wait. If you like to look around or purchase online\app I would suggest it.

The cashiers at checkout (one is taller with cool glasses and the other shorter with a big smile) are friendly and helped with my questions, another employee downstairs helped me with some sizing information. My only issue is that there wasnt someone on the floor specifically to help out. Buying clothes for other people is time consuming.

We went shopping to this JCP, and as usual this store is well organized and clean, men’s restroom was closed so I went to the one in the mall, not a big deal. The cashier was distracted, he almost charged me twice one item.Just to be sure I counted the items before I left.This wont make me stop visiting this store, but I will pay more attention when paying.

There was one restroom for the men in the store.. with one stall, and it was out of order...My two stars review is for older people that my visit the store and have a more of an urgency to go to the restroom and there would be nothing that could be done about it..For JCPenneys this should be unacceptable in every way..Now understand I investigated the circumstances of the situation and it was like that for more than 1 1/2 hours.. A simple fix...

Clean store. Well organized and great atmosphere with fun music. Good AC for these hot summer days. Clearance racks have great prices and nice items. The only down side not many employees around if you have a question, you need to walk around to find them and normally busy helping customers so you have to wait. Not the greatest customer service. But, it is ok.

Social distancing requirements implemented and able to pay in less than 10 minutes. Have seen a great improvement on many different brands. Mens shoes are also very much improved. Shop here now, as much as other department stores. Great upgrade.

This is a very nice store. Great prices and huge selection of clothes, shoes,jewelry, perfume and colognes . They have a lot of sports attire . Home appliances big and small. There things on clearance that are really great prices. Not many people on the floor to help but I found the associates were friendly and attentive. Make sure you look for the sales.

Really helpful people working here. I spent a hard time finding my shoe size and the very nice young man made several trips to make every effort to find them. When I checked out, the sales clerk helped me find every discount available, she helped me save 40% on my purchases. I signed up for their credit card because I plan to revisit this location more.

Went today and it was empty. I didnt like that there was one long line to check out and there was just one cashier. Then later a second one came to help with the line. This store seemed like it was going out of business. Hardly any stock on the shelves, messy displays and clothing on floors. Floors were dirty and public elevator looked like a freight elevator. Went to buy linens and towels and department looked so sparce. Hardly any varieties of linens available or towels. One floor had a huge clearance clothing area from one wall to the other.

I walked in through the salon entrance. Needed to use the ladies room ( I had just gotten off work). Only to be stopped by a gal named Mia stating I couldn’t use the restroom. I had to go downstairs. Restroom was not out of order. She just didn’t want anyone using it. Very disappointed, I just needed a quick lipstick form Sephora and left very upset.

I remember visiting this location and buying a few articles of clothing that i was looking for. the only downside was that the shoe section was extremely messy with boxes all over the place and shoes out of boxes as well. the staff in that area shouldnt have let it get that bad. id return again though as the parking lot is pretty big for the shopping center.

This is the only JC Penny I have ever been to but I really like how it has held up over the years. Ive never met a horrible staff member, they always are friendly or try to be when the customers are rude, and I always get an employee asking me if Im finding everything okay. I feel welcome and helped here every visit. Prices are always better here than anywhere else too. They have all styles here to fit everyone. Urban, casual, silly, hip, professional, and many more. Ill be back for many years to come.

I went at night and the store was very organized theres always online coupons to find easily for 15% off. The customer lines to pay always move really fast. Most of the time they carry their online merchandise in store, which is always a plus.

I like JCPenny, dont get me wrong but today, I couldnt give them 5 stars. I walked around the entire bottom floor looking for a cashier, none were open. Had to go up the escalator and to the mens section carrying a heavy toaster oven. No carts, no assistance. I almost left it.

Theres no one around to ask for help, I went customer service looking for a cashier and the worker told me we usually dont ring up customers here, but since your here Ill help you I told her I was simply looking for a cashier in the shoe department but there was not one single person around, I saw this elderly lady with a cane sitting in the shoe department and she said are you looking for a cashier too, I said yes after I got run up I ran into her again and I told her she had to go to the womens department o felt so bad for her. And to think I use to work a this store way back on the days.

Went here to buy jeans and a shirt. All the jeans had security tags that make fairly large holes in the fabric and have been a problem before for me. When I took the shirt checkout, I politely said, no up-sells please. They tried to upsell me anyway, so I left.

Worst experience at JCPENNY I went with my mom to the jewelry department, there was very bad customer service with Lorri and Georgia. They were both very bitter and unwelcoming . I must say that if employees aren’t happy with where they work the company should give someone else an opportunity to work there . A lot of unprofessional work there and it’s not the first time it has happened . Never going back for sure . It’s a waste of time to have them call you back and the product I sent to be fixed they never did .

Per the friendly, informative employee who finally assisted me and Moms...JC Penny is usually SLOW in the Bath Towels department, thus...the shopping experience was a FAIL. The saving grace was the young lady who finally assisted us. She explained why the service was non-existent, until I walked half way across the basement Ievel to track her down. I got through and they guy said he was gonna walk the phone over to dot com, but he disconnected me. I called back, just pushed #0 to talk to an operator. I was able to purchase 3 throw rugs that were originally $75.00 a piece approximately, but were reduced to $25.00 per rug, then because of a further reduction each rug ended up being approximately $17.00 a piece. Great savings, Right???? I was able to do this with the kind and patient assistance of Milton, who was working on the bottom floor at the Stonewood Mall in Downey, CA. I hope JC Penney recognizes how good an ambassador Milton is on behalf of the company. It was pleasant doing business with him today.

This Jcpenneys is so bad. I went on Saturday around 6pm and was looking for a new comforter set with pillows. I went to the home department and tried to fine someone to help me and no one was around. I worked all over the downstairs looking for anyone and there was no one around to help me. I seen the a man at the furniture department and I asked him if he can please call someone to help me and he said there isnt anyone, and that hell call someone when he is done helping the customer he was with, but when I walked away he wasnt helping her at all, him and the customer were talking about everything but furniture. I then walked over to him again and asked if he can call me the manager, he said yeah good luck with that. I was upset that they had no one to help me that I left all my stuff which would have been $258 sale and the reason why I know the total is because I went to another Jcpenneys that had amazing customer service and helped me so much.

Today I went to jcpenny in Downey ca. I walked around for an hour and finally found a shirt and a pair of jeans. They only have one cashier open on the bottom floor and one cashier open on the top floor. There was like 25 people in a line and I said it is not worth the wait. They have a lot of things half off it looks like the stores closing theyre not utilizing all their dressing rooms. I will also never use my JCPenney card there again. The last time my mother used her card somebody charged $6,000 worth of jewelry at two different JCPenneys. Im not going back.

I’ve always shop at JCP Downey it has very friendly employees very helpful this past week I walked in looking for a JoJo Siwa keychain. My husband bought one for my 7 yr old daughter for her birthday and it got stolen from her backpack at school. I went to JCP to buy a replacement one and they were out of them the employees were so kind enough to look all over the store trying to find one for me but they only found a broken one. The Manager Juan went beyond his reach and bought 2 of the exact same keychains that we’re stolen and gifted them to my daughter. That lifted my daughter’s spirit and made her so happy and that is priceless to me and my husband.
