I would recommend JBS to anyone who wants to be treated like family. The owner (Travis) and his mechanics are kind and knowledgeable and spent a lot of time explaining the issues with my car and my various options to get it fixed. They were honest and upfront which I greatly appreciate. They communicated often so I knew exactly what was happening and when, and when to anticipate getting my car back. Their prices were much more fair then several others places I got quotes from. Thank you to JBS for a job well done. I will be a long-term customer.

I highly recommend this mechanic shop! Everyone that works there is friendly. I live in Sylmar and drove all the way to Simi Valley to have this guys work on my 1990 F350 7.3 Diesel, because I couldn’t find other mechanics that knew too much about repairing or working on a truck like mine. From now on these guys will be servicing all my trucks. It’s hard finding a mechanic that is honest and knowledgeable. Thank you guys for fixing my truck.

JBS is a first class ran business. They will send you pictures of items that should be fixed and you can approve or not approve work right from your phone. I had another place tell me that I needed to replace items that JBS found to not be needed. They completed all work in a timely manner. I highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you

I take my car here whenever possible. Theyre always totally transparent with what the problem is and they are so honest about the necessity of a repair. They also do a great job or explaining what things are in lamens terms. I never feel like theyre trying to charge me for something I dont need. Their new system even sends me pictures of each part that they think might need work. Normally I feel like autoshops try to upsell or inflate their labor costs, because they can, but I never feel that way here.

Got a used expedition about a year and a half ago because we had a baby and needed a family vehicle. After a few months of driving it I noticed a shudder/Vibration coming from the transmission. Looked up on google and it told me possible Torque Converter issues. If left unchecked could cause damage to transmission.I took it to JBS to get a diagnosis and a transmission flush. They confirmed it was the torque converter and they gave me some options on how to address the issue. Replace Torque converter, which wouldnt promise that the rest of the transmission hadnt suffered damage, and would have to remove transmission anyway to replace it or replace the whole thing with a new one. Didnt charge me for diagnosis this time.After months of deciding and driving it I noticed it getting worse so i decided the best thing would be a whole new unit.The guys there ordered one and even in these times of part shortages they were able to get one in fairly quickly. I dropped it off over the weekend and when Monday rolled around they started and finished the job in one day!!After picking it up Travis told me it may feel weird driving for a bit until the computer learns my driving patterns. However once I started driving it I noticed not only was the transmission no longer shuddering, the entire vehicle seemed to feel different in a good way. It started quicker than it used to, steering felt tighter and the transmission shifted seamlessly down the highway. I swear they had given me a new truck buts it my expedition without a doubt.Im not sure what they did, maybe just the transmission and reprogramming fixed a lot of other issues but I am beyond happy with the finished product. Cant wait to drive this beast around like it was intended to.Highly recommend JBS Auto services for anything you need done. Theyre very transparent and will tell you the truth about what need to be done. Give you options and let you decide. They also stand behind what they do. Competitively priced as well. Update: unfortunately they don’t work on RVs anymoreThe team at JBS went above and beyond with my motorhome. When they found a major problem they gave me all of the options and scenarios to fix the problem. In the end it was a simple fix and I was on my way. I got my RV back in time for our trip. I brought my 2004 Toyota Camry into JBS Auto Services with a whole lot of issues (noises in the AC unit, smelling gasoline after turning off engine, check engine light on, hesitation when accelerating, etc). I had been putting off taking it to a shop because I’m so horrified of being ripped of since I don’t know anything about cars. But I’m so happy I found out about JBS and brought it to them. Chris was super nice and understanding with me while I explained to him all the issues. He was able to give me an estimate in a few hours that was actually a lot less than I was anticipating. He explained what my car needed and why without overwhelming me with too much information that I wouldn’t understand. He also explained what I needed to have fixed ASAP and what issues could wait a little bit. I was going to have to leave my car there over the weekend and he offered to meet me there on his day off to get me my car back after it was fixed so I wouldn’t haven’t to go without a car the whole weekend. Then, to my surprise he made sure my car was done early for me on Friday right before they closed for the weekend. I really appreciated the fast and professional service and never plan on taking my car anywhere else. It’s running great again and I feel safe on the road knowing I put my car in the right hands. I recently took my Dodge Durango in for an oil change and 100,000 mile service. The service was great. They had my car in and out in no time at all. The prices were very reasonable. Chris was honest, friendly, and knowledgeable. He informed me of future items that would need to be repaired, but were not an emergency. I did not deal with anyone beside Chris, but he was all around amazing. I will keep coming back and referring my friends and family! Thank you for serving our community.

I was referred to Travis at JBS by a friend who had his starter replaced on his Tundra. I took my Sequoia in for an oil change to a shop in Thousand Oaks. Since my vehicle has over 200K miles I asked them to check for any leaks. They informed me that my main seal and intake manifold were leaking. I hadnt noticed any significant leaks on the ground so I found this interesting. The repairs were going to cost close to $1000. I decided it wasnt an emergency and to get another opinion. Before taking my car to Travis I steam cleaned the engine and drove the vehicle for a couple weeks so he would be able to see more easily if there was leak. Come to find out Travis did not find any significant leaks considering the mileage on the car. There is some seepage, but no leaks. This was great news as I was heading up north to Big Sur. He checked my brakes as well which were good too. Needless to say I will be bringing my cars as well as friends and family to Travis from now on.By the way, when I rented a car from Hertz I got the shop rate and the lady at the counter said JBS...oh yeah everyone in Simi knows them. They are the place to go to get your car repaired honestly! I highly recommend JBS, Travis and Chris!

The owner Jerry is an honest mechanic, Great job for a fair price. I would not bring my cars anywhere else. We take all 3 of our cars there. Brought my Ford Flex in for a sub-frame out internal water pump replacement. They did a great job and delivered ahead of schedule. Both Travis and Chris are straight forward in explaining what needs to be done and have a great attitude. Im in the classic car business and ex-service writer and I will sometimes wrench on my cars. I would explicitly trust them with all my vehicle repairs that are above my pay grade. Keep up the great work, guys!!

I dont write reviews, so this is important to me.Chris was helpful and friendly on the phone.Travis, JBSs Diesel Guru was also friendly and helpful. He asked all the right questions, didnt talk down to me and was sympathetic for my problem.I replaced the injectors on my 2006 F250 6.0L powerstroke then I couldnt get it started. Needless to say I thought I messed something up, bad. Travis was honest, gave my truck a hard work over and test, said he had to charge the batteries and everything else checked out good.Travis was great. I recommend this place to everyone.Great job guys.

Everytime I show up here, the guys are always busy, but very willing to help. A few times the guy look at my car immediately and told me then and there what the problem was. It ended up being an easy fix so he ordered the part and fixed it the next day. Super cool of him to do that. My whole company comes here. These dudes are really good.

I highly recommend JBS. I’ve been taking my vehicles there the last 3-4 years. Last November, I had my brakes replaced and after about 6 months heard some noise. I called JBS and they took a look and said there was an issue with the brand of pads. JBS switched out the brakes and also changed my oil for free! Recently took a couple of my vehicles to JBS Auto. Gave Jerry a list of issues and things I would have liked done. Based on the findings of one car and its age, he decided to not waste my money and to not do the remaining repairs. He most certainly could have done everything I asked and made a chunk of change but knowing the car was not worth all the repairs he advised against it. I appreciate his honesty. He looks out for his customers.

So a couple days ago i asked for a recommendation on an honest and trustworthy mechanic & you guys recommended JBS. They were just the crew I needed after 3 bad experiences with other shops. Chris from JBS helped me and made everything understandable to a WOMAN lol everything from the work, the parts, and everything else in between that i was clueless about. From the start, I knew my car would be in great hands because they seemed passionate about their job. Although their customer satisfaction was very reassuring, I left thinking Id need a new alternator along with new sparkplugs (Not so great for my wallet). But after my car was (thoroughly) reviewed, they let me know Id only need new sparkplugs, as my alternator was ok! Unfortunately, mishaps do happen and throughout the process of returning my alternator, a small fuze blew. This maybe upsetting but chris was honest about it and handled it well! Not only did they replace the broken fuze FREE OF CHARGE, they also found the right problem (which 3 other shops couldnt). Although this was a 2 day job (ordering the parts) and the time he spend trying to find the problem, Chris didnt give up! I payed only for my new sparkplug, no labor cost (they took hours trying to figure out the problem)! Not only was car happy but my wallet was too! So in the end JBS will now be my go-to shop as I feel I can truly trust the service and know I will be getting my moneys worth! The guys were super nice and honest. Chris didnt give up, he was determined to find out what was wrong and Im so glad he did because as a single parent of 3 kids I NEED a car i can depend on 24/7.

As a woman its great to have an auto shop that you can trust where yu you know you wont be taken advantage of. JBS is that shop! On recommendation from my sister, I took my car in for my brakes to be replaced. After the inspection I was told they didnt need replacing just a good cleaning. DODGE VIPER. Trying to do Viper on a budget is almost impossible! If you go to Dodge, you have to go where a Viper qualified mechanic is and not all dealerships have one. Went to JBS and asked if they would like to have a go at it. Travis said hed never worked on one before, but its just nuts and bolts like any other car. Needed plug wires and coils changed. Unfortunately the intake has to come off as the coils are under it. Travis had a little trouble waiting on parts, but got it bangin on all 10 again. Price??? I know its at least half of what Dodge would have charged after they apply the Viper Tax. Only problem at JBS is they are super busy and I can see why. Thanks-Travis!!

I will not take any of our vehicles anywhere else! Travis (the owner) is very accommodating, friendly, understanding and fair. There have been times where I needed something done ASAP and he has been able to get me in and out, even though he is really busy.There have never been any surprises or upsells. You will never have to worry about getting ripped off. I hate to brag about him too much for fear he will be too busy for me! Haha.In all seriousness, I think you would be hard-pressed to find anyone more knowledgeable, especially for diesels.

Anytime I have an issue that my husband cant fix, Jerry is there to help. He always is able to squeeze me in. I dont have to worry about being taken advantage of because I am a woman. He is a stand up guy, and runs a great business.In addition, he has FREE teaching workshops, to give people who dont really understand cars, a basic understanding of how and what a vehicle needs to keep running smoothly. He is such a strong member of the community, and volunteers his time to Simi Valley... why would you go anywhere else? :)

Used to take my diesel van here when it needed repairs. They were always friendly and did work for a fair price. Had to bring a gas SUV in recently with weird obd2 issues. They fixed it up and got it smogged. Good to see service is still great.
