As first-time home buyers, we were skeptical about a lot of things related to the search and wanted to work with someone who would understand our needs, assist us on the process, market trends, the negotiables and non-negotiables to consider. We got introduced to Jay through a mutual friend and he has been very easy and friendly to work with. He never rushes you to settle for less and shares his opinions honestly. With his help and guidance, we closed offer on a home of our liking last year and are very satisfied.We also got our pre-approval and mortgage loan requirements through a lender contact provided by Jay and are very thankful to him for that.After the closure, Jay also went out of the way and got us introduced to 2 contractors for the repair/remodeling of our home. Since we have started working with Jay, he has become a family to us. You talk to him once and he will get the complete idea of your needs. He was there with us on weekends and also in late evenings shopping around for home. He does his homework well and prepares the complete research doc for you before submitting an offer. We just bought a home with help of Jay and his team. I met Jay based on yelp review. I explained my requirements and he gave me a complete insight into every single aspect of neighborhood, schools, commute, location etc. He does his full research and shows you the right home which fit your criteria.Jays team was working with us to find the right house, in fact, we closed on our first offer with Jay. He is an amazing, very patient almost worked as if he was buying a home for himself. Help you so much to understand the market and everything related to it. Make you feel so comfortable throughout the process.Without Jays guidance, I would not have made a competitive offer to get this house.Very organized, dedicated support, fantastic follow up with all stakeholders until they close. in fact, Jay was helping us even after closure. I still call him with my questions and anything I need in my house. My wife and I recently worked with Jay and he helped us buy our house in San Jose. We couldnt have done it without Jays guidance and support throughout the process! I couldnt recommend more working with Jay for anyone interested in buying a house in the Bay Area.We were introduced to Jay by one of our friends who had recently worked with Jay. When we first started our search we had a very limited understanding of the process and of the house market. From our very first meeting it was apparent that Jay was exactly what we were looking for. He took the time, almost 3 hours, to patiently explain each step of the process and answer all of our questions. He gave us a great overview of the process so that we knew what to expect and made both of us feel that we had a great partner who would have our best interest in mind.What I really liked in Jay is his flexibility and responsiveness. He was very accommodating and showed us a large number of houses working off of our schedule. He presented houses based on our needs and preferences in various areas to help us truly understand our priorities and further calibrate our search. He was available to talk at any time, including nights and weekends and he was available to meet within the same day with very limited notice. We are first-time home buyers and have been very lucky to have Jay Grewal in this home buying experience. Jay was recommended to us by a friend. Being first-time buyers, we had no knowledge of the home buying process and the real estate market. Jay was very patient with us and educated us on the process and the market. He took the time to understand our specific requirements and arranged showings that were a right fit. He was always a phone call/message away.He provided invaluable guidance/suggestions on what aspect is more important and what can be ignored which helped the decision-making easy. His analysis, read of the market, and negotiation skills are great. He made his best effort to get us a good value deal. He went out of his way and worked with our bank and seller agent to get an aggressive close of the loan/escrow that helped us in winning the bid.Post-home buying, we needed a few fixes/repairs in the house before we move in and the time window was very short. We bought our first home in the hot San Ramon market in 2 months after we started and we are super happy with our home. I dont believe we could have done it without Jay. Jay spent a lot of time to understand our need as we figured out what we were looking for. He is super responsive all the time. He always provides data to back his recommendation. When we lost few buds initially due to over bidding, he advised us to wait for the better house / price. When we saw the house we bought, we came up with the winning strategy. He told me that I will get the house and we did :) He went above and beyond the standard process to help us win in this market. Our Friend had recommended Jay to us. We were looking at other agents on Zillow but were not very sure. Jay was very helpful right from the beginning. He explained in detail about the entire process of buying a house and told us about the different aspects of a house which are important to a new buyer like us. First Home always holds a special place in our hearts. Since you start from zero in the process, you need someone who can be with you like a guardian angel. Jay was that guardian angel for us !He is highly well informed about the entire Home buying process and can provide correct inputs for every bits and pieces. As a first time Home buyer I was finding things difficult to understand at times and Jay made sure that I do not miss anything. And his Patience in this is matchless !Just after the first meeting he understood what we were looking in a house that we plan to purchase and next time onwards he suggested properties that exactly matched our requirements. He is very very clear in identifying what the customer needs. He also helped us in ruling out any property that wont match our needs and thereby saving a lot of time and effort. In couple of occasions we insisted on seeing properties that he suggested not to go for and at the end his viewpoint was correct :).His market study about the correct price of the house is spot on ! . If he finds a listed house price to be unreasonable, he outrightly suggests not to go for it and it can save you a lot of money. On many occasions he was bang on and the houses got sold for a much lesser price. Due to his pin-pointed choices for the kind of house we were looking for, we were able to find one in 10 days time. He was very accurate in suggesting what price we should bid for and we got our house in the 2nd bid itself :)Even after the purchase, he stays with you for the entire process and helps / suggests with anything and everything that you need in setting up your house. As per his own words The real Buyer-Agent relationship starts only after purchasing the house and he proves with every interaction you have with him after purchasing the house.I would very highly recommend Jay to anyone who is looking to purchase a house. Jay helped me sell my house during the COVID-19 time (2020) and I loved the patience and persistence that he continued to have during the long home selling process. We started the discussions in the month of Mar2020, got the house staged, and had to undo the staging because of the countys stay-at-home orders just before we were planning to go live in the market. Jay continued monitoring the market to determine the time which would enable selling the house at the desirable price. Finally, the house was sold in Sept2020.Given that I had the opportunity to work with Jay for close to 6+ months, I felt very comfortable having him as my agent to sell the house, as he kept his focus on determining the right time, multiple in-person meetings, keeping me constantly updated, and explaining the process and his thought process all along.Jay worked with me with a personal touch and his past experience and friendly nature just make the whole home dealing process smooth and friendly. He scheduled multiple stagers to choose from both the times for at-home meetings and keeping the option with me to choose from.If one is in the market trying/interviewing the agents, I would definitely recommend giving Jay a chance to meet and explain his home buying/selling process (which he did with me at his office), compare and contrast with other agents, and see if he can bring a difference in your home buying/selling experience.

Jay is great to work with. He explained the whole process multiple times and was always there to answer any questions my husband and I had. He spent almost all of one day of his weekend showing us properties and suggesting different aspects we did not think to check. He worked very diligently to resolve any issues during the purchase process. For example, he worked with county and city folks to confirm the square footage of the property and checked that all renovations had permits.

Jay is a definition of discipline, warmth and consideration. He places his clients needs on a pedestal of honor. We had extended an offer at a home in San Jose with him and paid for inspection and other charges, suddenly we had a change of heart and he helped us through the dissolution process with through dignity. He maintained respect of the seller and us at the same time by mitigating all expenses upon himself and not letting us get affected. Jay also helped us get a new home in next few months which has been our pride and comfort ever since. Man, what a great service Mr. Jay Grewal offered me when I was on the hunt for a home.He went beyond my expectations:1. Very knowledgeable in Real Estate. And when he doesnt know the answers, hell tell you and then find you the answer. The home I bid was a probate sale and he explained to me how it works. He went to the court date as I didnt want to go. He said, no problem, I can take care of it for you! Man, what a service!2. Very responsive to messages and very communicative throughout the process.3. Very positive attitude. I really like this. We were referred to Jay by a friend of mine who used his services for buying their home. And it did not take us long to realize why he was recommended.Before Jay, I was talking to a couple of other agents but was never confident about their quality of services. They were of the mode - You can find the listings on MLS, Redfin, Zillow etc and I can help you make the offer. Well, why the heck would I need their services.When we first met him, he walked us through the entire process of buying home: from pre-approval to getting the keys and moving in. This was very helpful for first time buyer. And to make things very helpful for us, we did submit a sample offer on a property to get a feel of what it takes.Given our budget, lot-size, built-up area, number of rooms, school rating and various other constraints, he was very helpful shortlisting the right homes for us for seeing them.Being an investor himself (earlier), he could see through the property and give us insights that we could never have thought about - right from the possible issues in the construction to all the money & time needed for an upgrade in a not-ready-to-move-in house.After about 8 weeks, over 50 houses seen and half a dozen offers made, we were able to find the right home for us. Our offer was accepted even before it could go for the open house. Not only that, we got it over $25k lower than the sellers target sale price and well within our budget. The icing on the cake was that the home was ready to move in. There was not an iota of work required to make the move. Everything was optional and only to suit our taste.Secret insight - I had withdrawn from the offer made only to want the home again after a week. And he ensured that he talked to the seller personally and explained our reasons for the retreat from the offer. And hurray, we got the home.He is one person that you would always want on your side.
