Just a really nice placeQuaint is the best way to describe it. Not so big like most hotel properties you see around here.Service is great.Room overlooking the marina with a balcony.Sitting on the balcony now enjoying the live music from the bar below.First night here but so far so good.

My Wife and I had an amazing experience and time at the Jamaica Bay Inn. The room and view was spectacular. On looking the ocean. I would highly recommend this Hotel for a romantic get away. Both in and out the room was amazing. Very quiet atmosphere. Just very therapeutic. I enjoyed my birthday and anniversary all in one.

Customer service was top notch! Kudos toHee Sung and Ana! Location was excellent and the rooms were clean and very nice. There was a lot of activity in the marina with groups of young rowing teams so that was fun to see!

Attended a conference here. The rooms were very generic hotel rooms but adequate. The meeting raooms were OK but not connected mostly folks ended up walking through the busy Restaurant to get to the room which was slightly awkward. I gave the location five stars because it’s right on mothers beach. However, you should know this is a pretty sad beach, really for small children, very shallow and you’re swimming in a Marina so the water is suspect. This is not a tropical beach but, it is more or less pleasant to be able to see the water and the boats from the hotel There are some palm trees which seem to appeal to those of us not used to seeing themI did not actually eat at the restaurant however the food looked pretty good and there is a outdoor dining area with a view of the beach

Went to the hotels restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely. We sat outside to enjoy the view of Mothers Beach. Our server was fantastic. Very nice, attentive, and a great sense of humor. Had us laughing, and our food was cooked perfectly. Delicious! What more could we ask for? As far as the hotel itself.... I would stay here. The inside looked well taken care of. Eventhough I live in LosAngeles, I will stay here in the future for a nice little local getaway. The area is lovely.

We really appreciate the upgrades they have made at this hotel. The room was well furnished, and we appreciated the upgrade at the front desk to a nice corner room (358) with a view and patio. The fitness center has a variety of new equipment, and the pool and jacuzzi are nice. Short walk to Venice Beach.

We had a nice one night stay at this retro but updated Hilton. It’s a trip back in hotel time, but not bad trip. Room was comfy, clean, w coffee maker, nice balcony, strong shower, easy parking, and comfortable bed. Great harbor walking area nearby w places to sit outside under the palms.( cool white chairs) Excellent food service with nice menu in Beach house restaurant. Musical accompaniment on certain nights, great cocktails. Room heating/ cooling a bit old school, no blanket, and areas throughout hotel a bit sparse but still would return here.

Ate at the hotel restaurant — service was wonderful and the food vegan/vegetarian options was quite nice! The fries were yummy though fyi they needed salt in my opinion which was easy to add yourself to your own taste, the salad was delicious though could have had less vinaigrette, the garlic noodles were yummy too although could have had less salt but it was overall tasty. I appreciate the variety of options for someone who doesn’t eat animals 🩵

I gotta give a shout out to Heesung - the Assistant Manager at the Jamaica Bay Inn. I think I met him on the 2nd or 3rd time I came, and it doesnt matter how long its been, whenever I come back, he greets me by name. I dont envy anyone in the service or hospitality industry - clients can be rude and overly entitled, and I cant imagine how difficult it is to put on a friendly face after a less-than-pleasant interaction with a rude customer. But Heesung goes above and beyond - youd think that every time you see him hes just come back from vacation - hes energetic, really friendly, very professional, and always goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome.I dont usually take the time to write a review like this, but Heesung definitely deserves it.As for the rest of the hotel:Whenever I fly in for work in Marina Del Rey, this is where I stay. If you can get a Marina view - its worth it. Theyre recently renovated the upper floors, and the modern touches are really nice. I have family who are immune compromised, so knowing that I can get a room where I can not only crack a window, but open a sliding door and air out the room gives me a lot of reassurance. The restaurant downstairs is great, and the fact that I can walk 2 minutes from my room and have my feet in the sand is a perk you wont find many other places for the price. Im heading back for work this week, and Im really looking forward to my stay.

Me and my family recently stayed at this place I cant complain about anything. Its affordable for location and quality and a good service. food was good, place is really clean staff is really friendly. I highly recommend. but if youre a person like I saw, that posted a negative review. get a $800 a night plus hotel, because my $300 per night was well worth it!! not everyone is a king an a queen. there are some small things we regular people can do like take the trash to the door and walk to from desk and ask for anything after all we all need to walk it healthy,

Rooms are newly refreshed and very nice. I believe each room has a balcony. If you get a beach view room even better. The restaurant is also nice. Conveniently located close to LAX but not an airport hotel, you are in a nice neighborhood. The staff are very nice and helpful, especially Ana at the front desk, super great.

3/27/24 - FIRST FLOOR IS UNDER RENOVATION - NO GYM/SPA & NOISE. I cannot stand when hotels do not disclose that they are under renovations and that there is a loss of amenities. Right now their first floor is under renovations and there is no access to the fitness center/spa despite that being noted and advertised on their webpage when you are booking. Additionally if you are someone who is on business and has to work throughout the day in your room you need to call to make sure you are not getting a room that is impacted by that noise all day.

I was very impressed by this place.It sits off in a little corner and, for the most part.It was very quiet, which I definitely enjoyed. Six minute drive to venice Beach.The only thing I didnt like was when I had dinner at night and the little.Unfortunately, little nuet will fly around the food.Highlight when you walk in theyre very welcoming.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past due to my appreciation for the scenic views it offers. However, during my most recent stay in the spring of 2023, I had an extremely negative experience. Despite booking rooms for four people, I was not informed that there would be a private 16th birthday party taking place, resulting in the entire restaurant and pool area being inaccessible to me. Additionally, on the following morning, which happened to be Mothers Day, I was informed that breakfast service was unavailable in the usual dining area, but I could have it delivered to my room instead. This level of service left me dissatisfied and questioning the quality of the establishment.In response to these issues, I escalated my concerns to a supervisor since there was no manager available at the time. The supervisor was understanding and offered a percentage refund as well as provided me with confirmation of this resolution. However, despite waiting for several weeks, I never received the promised refund. Furthermore, my attempts to contact the manager, who was consistently unavailable, proved futile. I called several times and she was always at a meeting, and never called back or sent an e-mail. As a result, the promised discount appeared to be nothing more than empty words.

This is a very nice older hotel that is in a great location near Venice Beach. The beach is a 10 minute walk. The rooms overlooking the Marina Del Rey marina have a great view. This is one of the quietest spots in the city.Had brunch there several times and the food was good. especially liked the breakfast tacos. The wait staff were very attentive adding to the drinking and dining experience.

We needed a place to stay quickly after the apartment building we were in had a fire.It said pet friendly so I assumed that also meant cats, so when we checked in they informed us it was only dogs. But they were nice and understanding, they let us check in anyways cause we and our cat were so stressed from the fire and needed a place to rest. Just a few suggestions they should consider the wording and just say dog friendly, that would remove any confusion and there was a corn hole game on a the lawn in right in front of our patio door, people using it yelling and screaming was not peaceful and that close to your sliding glass door didnt provide privacy if you wanted to keep the curtains open for sunlight, maybe move it farther away. I loved the shower, the bed was comfortable and the room coffee was perfect. They have a great restaurant too! This is a great place to stay, in a great area. I highly recommend.

First of all the entire staff was excellentFrom the valet workers to the restaurant.I called to get some information on the Hotel since I had never stayed there before we wanted a full Marina view, I talked to EDWARD MARISOL at the front desk he looked at where they had my room and said he was going to move us to the West end building so we could have one of the best views he assured me that I would love it well that was a understatement when I walked in that room the view was absolutely amazingI have no words for the room not one bathroom but two the one in the bedroom unreal two sinks the bathtub huge and the shower also, bathroom in the living room area had a beautiful shower, never had to rush out of bathroom because he had is own I loved it so much.You can not beat the amenities from pool hot tub fitness the scenery so beautiful felt like you were in Jamaica really.If you want to learn how to paddle board they give lessons and kayaking unreal.Beautiful walking paths we went walking and I said is that a restaurant and I looked at the sign and it said THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY one of my favorite restaurants of course because of the cheesecake in walking distance from hotel so wonderful we said we felt as though we were out of the country❤️So if you want to feel as though you’re in Jamaica without flying please stay at JAMAICA BAY INN IN Marina Del Rey you will not regret it at all!Thank the staff and all of the workers but a big shout out to Edward Marisol again thank you for having such a great personality making us really enjoy our stay and we shall be back can not wait for how rooms will be❤️

2nd visitStayed in the main building this trip, and the rooms were much better than the two-story building. As always staff is friendly and this time around the spa was in better condition as far as cleanliness.On site restaurant is always amazing. Great food and super friendly staff very reasonable prices for the locationRates are reasonable for the area and compared to other water front hotels.1st visitReceived notice our room was available before check-in. We were able to get a marina view on short order to escape the local heat wave.Despite criticisms below, we did enjoy ourselves and felt relaxed and loved the ambiance. The patio doors provided great sound insulation when needed from the bustling area.The convenience of the “Beach Side” on site restaurant was a real bright spot. Staff was friendly, food was delicious, and prices reasonable for such a great view and ambiance. Very relaxing.Arrived a bit frustrated because both Google and vehicle GPS a bit wonky with directions to the hotel.Frustration exasperated by no luggage assistance and the electronic key did not work for entry doors or our room despite notice the electronic key was “ready.”The hotel is older with some musty smells. Room is well appointed but not maintained. Wallpaper at the baseboard was tattered and lounging chair dirty and stained. Patio rails termite infested and evidence of wall water damage.Despite hotel imperfections the marina side room price point is reasonable for a great view, relative quiet despite a bustling marina beach and adjacent LA county covered picnic tables.Pool and spa opened at 8 am. Despite tons of pool activity, the day before, neither the pool nor the spa was cleaned before start of day. The spa looked murky and disgusting.Front desk was short staffed, and calls went unanswered sometimes, but responsive when you could reach someone.Restaurant Dining 5 StarsGrounds maintenance 5 StarsHilton electronic key 1 StarPool cleanliness 1 StarOverall cleanliness 3 ½ StarsRoom quality 3 ½ Stars

Avoid!We were woken up twice by a defective fire alarm that meant we had to evacuate at 11pm and 1230am which lead to no sleep at all. Other people staying there said it had also gone off at 4am the previous day!The rooms are old and ugly.There are cockroaches 🪳 (we had at least 3 spotted in our room)!The breakfast options are overpriced.The staff didn’t seem to care.For a $250+ a night place they should do much better!

This is definitely hands down one of the best local getaways. My girlfriend recommended it and now I’m hooked. The ambiance at the restaurant is breathtaking. The Fish and Chips ❤️Mouthwatering !! The beach view and location makes this an unforgettable trip. The area is crawling with some of the TOP restaurants and the distance to Venice and Santa Monica make it a hit. Not too close to the action and not too far. Great stay and we will be back

It would be nice if they could lose the brown 80s wallpaper and brighten up the rooms with a nice coat of white paint. Didnt have a water view, would pay for that next time. Very disappointed in this “Tapestry Collection”. Before we even got to the hotel, we called up Guest Services to inquire regarding parking on-site.Guest Services line couldn’t even answer the simple question of whether or not “In and Out” are permitted for guests parking overnight. It was an unsure reply of “I don’t think so.” Which ultimately ended up being wrong, we later found out as we were checking in. FYI for the future, train your staff on parking info. and also ask for help if they’re unsure. 🙄When we got to the hotel, Valet Parking attendant on the desk couldn’t be bothered to do his job. Wasn’t very helpful. Had to speak to him 3 times(!) just to make sure I got a parking sticker for my stay. As he was sitting on his phone with earphones on instead of focusing working, the first 2 times I asked. So I had to refer to the reception area to finally get my answer on parking information.At the reception area, we checked in Thursday sept 27 around 7PM. The receptionist was working there at the time was not very welcoming to my partner and I. She seemed to just want to deal with us as quickly as possible. I get that it’s the end of the day and people want to clock-out, but at least be more respectful. Also, did not even tell us regarding amenities, and restaurant details.The first day of the stay, I got charged in full for breakfast, even though I have a daily credit for me and my guest per day. Room service staff did not even get my room number and I had to call him back to ask him if he needed my room number so they know where to deliver my order. He goes, “…oh yeah, I actually do need it.” 🤦 I’m still waiting on a resolution for this extra charge and awaiting the hotel’s email back.I’ve been a Diamond Member and have stayed in many different Hilton hotels in the past, but this was the worst experience I’ve had, Customer Service-wise. Please do better in setting quality standards for hiring and training staff, for the sake of all your guests and the business we give you.

Great location, close to everything near the marina and the beach ⛱ staff is very friendly and helpful but the rooms need a bit on attention in some places ( a room diffuser to change the smell would do a huge difference and the room I was in had a very distinct smell).The shower pressure is a bit on the weak side as it just seamed to miss a solid water flow.The staff were very friendly and helpful with all the random stuff we asked the like hiring a bike to cycle around town. All in all a 4 star is a fair raiting as it can improve on facilities and maintenance in some parts of the hotel.The pricing is competitive with nearby hotels but like previously mentioned just needs a bit of TLC.Well done to the staff for their efforts 👌

An actually horrible hotel. First off, we couldnt check in until three hours after the actual check-in time because they were still cleaning the room. Next, once we got the room, it smelled like chemicals, more specifically like anti-cockroach spray. The bathroom was filthy, with dried-up urine on the seat and the floor. The shower drain still had hairs in it. (Cockroaches in the hallway.)The air-conditioning doesnt work and rattles very loudly. And if it does randomly turn on, it just blows warm cigar/smoke-smelling fumes into the room. The Wi-Fi is so bad you cant even use Google.If you want fresh towels or something to be cleaned, you have to let the front desk know 24 hours in advance. So, if you have a short stay, or like we did, get uncleaned towels from the start, tough luck. Youll have to get your own towels.Our complaints werent resolved by the two ladies at the front desk. They simply ignored our complaints and responded with, this is the room we have booked for you, and refused to acknowledge any of the issues.I recommend that no one go to this hotel. There are many better, cheaper, and more pleasant options in the area. Ive stayed in roadside motels that are better than this place. The high-star reviews are from years ago and do not represent the current state of the hotel.

The rooms large and with a good view (both rooms were looking over the beach and marina with a deck).Given the location the price feels fair.It would be sad if this property doesn’t get a refresh in the next couple of years.

There are a lot of cockroaches in the rooms! We found about 20 cockroaches in our room and had to ask to be moved. They need to be better with maintenance and pest control to prevent this.I would not recommend this hotel at all. For $350 a night and advertised as a upper scale Hilton property, it did not deliver. The rooms are old and need a lot of maintenance and the carpets are not clean. Also the cockroaches... Just dont stay here, it is not worth it.

Dont understand the good reviews here. This hotel does not live up to the Hilton standard. Awful smell in room and could hear everything through the walls and ceiling. Temperature would fluctuate 7 degrees without touching thermostat. Front desk staff could be more professional. Hotel needs updating.

Nice place but not knowning there was going to be a $125.00 parking fee for 5 nights was very disappointing.The hotel reached out to me in response to the review.They recommended contacting Hilton support to gather more information. I called and emailed and its been 3 weeks with no reply or update. Guess they just do not care.

We held our company holiday party here. The planning and execution with our event coordinator was seamless and all went according to plan. The food was very good and the staff from the parking attendants, the bell boy and the service staff were all friendly and took very good care of us. This hotel is all about location, location, location. The view of the harbor is beautiful and the walk along the shore of Mothers Beach is so nice and relaxing. The hotel has a great breezy beachy feel and its very unpretentious and comfortable. I would hold another group event here and look forward to coming back with my husband and friends to dine at their restaurant. We spent the night after the party and stayed in one of their suites. There was a nice living room area with a sliding door for the bedroom and double sink bathroom. There also was a bathroom for our after party guests in the living room area. A small but nice patio overlooked the bay. We had breakfast the next day with our overnight staff and although the service was a bit slow, our server was friendly and the food was excellent.

Clean rooms, decent restaurant, nice beach, great location. Easy to get to Venice Beach or Santa Monica pier. Convenient water bus to several spots around the marina. For those who complained about rats, I question their worldview. The outdoor dining is beachfront & there were adorable tiny beach mice who lived here first.

We stayed at Jamaica Bay Inn this past weekend and must give it a mixed review:Pros: We had a beautiful view of of the beach and marina outside our ground floor room. The front desk employees were very friendly and accommodating.Cons: During our 3 day say, our room was never cleaned by the maid. I called the evening of our first night to make sure they cleaned it. I was told that I had to request it at check in, and since they are short staffed the only thing they could offer is fresh towels if we needed it. Our room ended up with overflowing trash cans and dirty towels piled up on the bathroom floor by the time we checked out. It was like we were on our own while paying over $300 a night! The lounge chairs around the pool are old and in poor condition to the point where you feel the metal rod going across your back side when you sit or lay in it.This hotel is a Tapestry Collection which I guess means that Hilton buys an old motel, makes a few tweaks, and calls it a Hilton Hotel to justify very high prices. We are Diamond members and had to beg for our complimentary two water bottles--they dont automatically bring it to your room everyday if you dont ask for it.Our room was very dreary and dark to the point where we had to take our clothes out of the closet to see what we were touching. You may need to bring a flashlight or lantern to see adequately. The mattress was cheap and low quality, which resulted to waking up in the middle of the night with a backache. The wood railing on our balcony had dry rot and active termite damage. There are signs of delayed maintenance throughout the property with scuff marks, dings, scratches, warped wood, peeling wallpaper, water damage, etc. just about everywhere you look.

This hotel is in a great location for all things Marina del Ray, Venice Beach and close to LAX. However, the place had a bit of worn out vibe. The elevator smelled like smoke and you could hear a lot of outdoor and corridor noise while you in the room. The staff we’re friendly and accommodating.

A perfect last min stay. Less than 10 min walk to Venice Beach and its right on the marina. The room had a beautiful fireplace and a bath than ran hot water immediately. The bar was nice to go down for a quick drink and its convenient that you can charge to the room. Its a safe area and even though you had to pay for parking, still worth it since restaurants and other attractions are walkable. Definitely would stay again.

So I want to start this review with saying that I understand that the location of this hotel means higher prices and extra fees for parking. I’m not surprised or frustrated with this aspect, I chose this hotel for its location.However, it’s frustrating when I can go to a 2 star Hilton hotel and get better housekeeping, the same parking situation, and better room amenities.The door to the balcony did not seal and let in all the traffic noise from outside; additionally, the room did not come with a microwave and had the same flimsy plastic cups/cheap paper coffee cups that you find at a 1 star hotel. For a hotel with a higher price point I was expecting more amenities in the room and actual glassware.This hotel has not returned to daily room cleaning, which is ok; however, I did ask for light room service, remove the trash and restock the coffee bar. The trash was about 85% removed (it was not an excessive amount) and the coffee bar was restocked by placing some k-cups and sugar/stir stick kits in a bag intended for ice and plunked on the counter.My last frustration is that the hot tub was no where near hot, barely even warm; and no one said anything about it when I asked for pool towels nor was there a sign noting the hot tub was out of order. There was a general overall lack of communication from the hotel to their guests.For a hotel that is located in an ideal place to bring in decent money, it falls well short of what you would expect from a 3 star hotel. Hilton’s 2 star hotels typically have better stocked rooms, a hot hot tub, quieter rooms and better housekeeping.

Charged us for full Marina view, except you couldnt see the water unless you went out on the balcony and turned to the left. AC in the room didnt work, froze up, and the poor maintenance guy sat there with a hair dryer for half an hour trying to get it to work again. Beds are very hard, elevator was extremely slow. Very hot and muggy inside the hotel - no air flow or AC. Restaurant was decent but was sold out of three items we tried to order.

We had a great stay here - nicely located hotel in a relatively quiet corner of Marina del Rey, with very nice and spacious rooms, a lovely restaurant with outside seating (a lot of it with space heaters upon request), directly on the little marina beach, and with a modest pool.The highlights were the friendly staff and funnily enough, the blackout curtains, that provided a really good environment to sleep.One small note regarding the single and very slow elevator that caused some wait time at various times.

This ideal beachside inn fell short of a 5 stars due to some minor inconveniences, it’s located in a nice area of the Marina harbor but the hotel needs some major upgrades, we continuously were locked out of certain doors to enter the hotel from the outside, staff stated that they have not updated the doors for the digital keys and a plastic one was required for the pool restroom, the ice machine on the second floor, an outside door to enter their lobby which defeated the contactless check-in.The pool needs cosmetic work and the jacuzzi didn’t look clean at all. There isn’t any staff at the pool and there are only a small handful of towels in case you forget to pick one up from the front desk.Our room was spacious but it smelled like mildew and our sliding patio door lock was broken and on the floor when we arrived, this is a safety issue as we we’re staying on the 1st floor facing the busy street. I also tried calling for maintenance from my room but you don’t get a direct line to the front desk it’s the same number as if you called from the outside. I did ask for maintenance to fix the broken lock but up to the time we checked out, no one had fixed it.Dinner at the restaurant was ok but too pricey for the quality of food, example is a charcuterie board was $30 bucks and literally had 6 slices of meat, 4 slices of cheese and a handful of berries and pistachios plopped in the middle, the appetizer Brussel sprout’s were served with a lemon mascarpone cream which turned it into a dessert? We opted to not eat there the next day and instead took a walk down to Venice beach which is less than a mile from the In, we came across a farmer’s market a few feet away from the hotel next to the Cheesecake Factory restaurant, and to our surprise they had live music and organic specialty items which we stocked up on and took back to our room. Once returned we grabbed our beach chairs from our car and walked only a few feet to the sand it’s literally that close which makes you feel like your on a private beach! Next to this area is a public beach where we seen many families enjoying the beach weather near the water and kayaking. The folks around here were all pleasant and even though there are some homeless people around they didn’t bother anyone.On our final day we decided to use the gym then tried the beachside for breakfast and we were not disappointed! The view and the close proximity to the harbor with the light of the morning sun was relaxing and beautiful. We did enjoy our stay and would return to the beach now knowing how private it really is. This location is also very dog friendly. Housekeeping staff were all helpful and kind with one who took our ice bucket and filled it for us since our digital key didn’t work. I wish I would have remembered her name. Would have loved to have given this hotel a 5star but the pictures attached are actual. Im extremely disappointed with my recent stay. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that the bathroom sink was clogged and it took several attempts to get it to drain properly. This was a major inconvenience and made me question the overall cleanliness of the room.To make matters worse, the hotel doesnt have any staff available to deliver room service. Honest Review from a Hilton Diamond member. First, this Hotel is in a great location. You can walk to Venice Beach but hopping on a scooter (bird, lime, link, vero) is quicker and more fun. The hotel is on the Marina which offers a nice beach area with accessibility to Kayaks, Paddle Boards and other such activities. The Marina view is very nice without captivating you too much to spend unnecessary time on the balcony. The city view is a parking lot view which will encourage you to be out of the room and more active 😉.The restaurant surprisingly has really good food. We ate there everyday for breakfast. Some nights they had live music at the bar and even a night where they had a projector playing a movie outside for families.The rooms are basic with the standard expected amenities (fridge, coffee, iron, hair dryer, ice bucket, bed, desk, ac, outlets, TV etc). The decor is typical and dated but not completely worn out. My biggest gripes with the room are 1. With all lights on its still dark and 2. The bathroom has a non locking sliding door.Outside they have a pool and a hot tub which was nice to enjoy. However, the pool is not large. While this was fine for us and another couple when families started to show up with children we exited for our own sanity. No big deal. Go early or sneak in after hours.Back to location...10min walk to Venice Beach or 3min scooter ride. 15 min drive to Santa Monica Pier. 35 min drive to Malibu. 45 min drive to Hollywood.I ended up liking the hotel. Personally I wouldnt hesitate to book again if in the area. Im rating 4 out 5 stars as somethings are a bit dated and could be improved upon but I really nothing to complain about. I used points and thought the value to points used was on point. Diamond members get 18 per day credit per guest on reservation which can be uses at the restaurant. You will pay more of course bit it is still nice.

I stayed at the Jamaica Bay Inn this past month for a weekend after spending the week in downtown LA at The Line hotel for a work event — This is the 3rd hotel that Ive stayed at recently in the Marina Del Ray area. Despite the fact that I paid almost $1,000 for this two day stay, the experience was just awful for a few reasons...Upon arrival on Friday, I was excited as the room seemed spacious and the bed seemed comfortable. My ex-girlfriend met up with me and after drinks we fell asleep around 2AM with some fun activities planned for the following day — Those plans were shattered at 5AM on Saturday morning when our entire room and bed were vibrating/shaking as the reverberations of every single step taken on the treadmill in the gym directly beneath us echoed into our heads. Long story short, the rest of our Saturday plans were essentially ruined due to the lack of sleep we were able to get and we ended up cancelling expensive reservations made for that night as she was just too tired and went back to her own home to sleep.I had a similar experience Sunday morning at 5AM too, despite the gym supposedly not being open until 8AM — When I spoke to someone at the front desk they said theyd address this at checkout, but upon my checkout they didnt even mention these issues and just proceeded to charge me the almost $1,000 fee for my sleepless 2 night stay...Beyond all of that, the place didnt even have any sort of store on-hand to buy Advil/Aleve to address my pounding headache — Needless to say, I dont plan on returning to this establishment again and Id suggest looking into other options if you need to stay in this area. Id perhaps feel different if they actually made good on their promise to address this issue at checkout, but clearly that wasnt a priority.

The refrigerator in the room did not get cold enough, so our drinks did not get cold enough. The ac sounded as loud as my uncles 1950 chevy truck. The only hotel that charges for parking, why not included in the price(trick the customer gimmick). The selection of the menu was horrible. They should pay us to eat that food. Been coming here since 2016 and used to be one of my favourites in LA. Most recent trip was 2 weeks ago. Since returning to stay after COVID the hotel is not as good. The staff were not interested and were generally unhelpful. At the start of my 3 night stay there were no towels in my room. I rang reception a couple of times, no answer. So went straight down to see a lady at the reception standing there. When asked she advised she didnt have any and would send someone up. When advising her I rang, I was very abruptly told she was busy and to wait in my room. 20 minutes later and no towels. I had to get my towels from the house keeping trolley. I will no longer be staying at this hotel. This was the worst hotel during my 3 week trip to the US.

I just got back from staying here the nights of November 17-21, 2022 with my aunt. Its a beautiful property in a great location with nice rooms, plenty of parking, and a restaurant/bar. What really made the stay great was the people who work there! We didnt take advantage of their valet service, but I did make friends with Jonathan and Jacob while I was there, which was really cool. Jasmine at the front desk was also a gem with whom I would chat at night when I got back. They were friendly and happy and it really made this a memorable stay.

This was an incredible stay all the way around and we will be back! We simply wanted a place to stay for the night after my wifes surgery at a nearby hospital so we didnt have to drive the 2 hours home. We got that plus a little getaway at an amazing hotel!We were welcomed from the minute we drove up by the valet and bell staff. The front desk staff was also very welcoming and explained the features of the property, including the restaurant.Our room (119) was on the first floor facing the marina. It had a large patio/balcony area with a beautiful view of the beach, water, boats and hotel grounds. The patio furniture was even clean, which isnt always the case at hotels. When we return, I hope we can get the same room as the view seemed perfect.The room itself was very clean and everything was in working order. There were plenty of outlets, a Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, large TV, good sized desk, comfortable chair, and plenty of lights. The bed was very comfortable. Yes, it has a wall air conditioner. But we actually appreciated the white noise effect from setting the fan to run all night.The restaurant was outstanding! They dont have room service at this time, but they gladly took our order my phone and called us back in about 20 minutes when it was ready to pick up. The butternut squash ravioli was delicious and the macadamia nut chocolate chip cookies are our new favorite. (Sorry, DoubleTree.). Breakfast on the outdoor patio right on the beach was also wonderful. A creative menu perfectly executed.Were completed baffled by all the negative reviews. Dont hesitate to stay here. Just make sure you get a room with a marina view. Or at least leave your room and go hang out in the chairs on the lawn on the marina side. We will be back!

The room itself was nice, the location is convenient, and the hotel is beautiful, if I were just rating that I would give it four stars. But everything else was a bit of a mess. To start, the halls and rooms smelled of sewage for three of our four days, no hotel staff explained this nor offered us any recompense for this massive discomfort. I came for a wedding and my brother reserved a block of rooms in advance. Several weeks before arrival I called to put my card on my room so that he wouldnt be charged for it. Now both myself and my sister were staying in the room, and she arrived about an hour before I did. Apparently they have a policy (Ive never experienced this anywhere else) where they have to swipe a card prior to check-in, so my sister had to swipe hers and assume the responsibility of paying for our entire stay before wed actually done so. Now I called here on the morning of our last day to ensure that the card that would actually bear the responsibility would be my own, but theyd deleted my card from their system when my sister swiped on checkin. Just outright deleted it. And now it will take up to a week for the money to be returned to my sister’s account even though this was their absolute boneheaded mistake. NOT TO MENTION THEY JUST ASSUMED WE HAD A CAR AND CHARGED US AN EXTRA $100 FOR PARKING. None of this was communicated and had to be resolved on-site. Absolutely ridiculously piss poor customer service, theyre lazy and apathetic LA residents.

Rooms are sizable but incredibly dreary and dim during the evening (daytime there was plenty of sunlight). Even with all of the lights on it still felt dark in the room. I had a balcony that unfortunately had a cement barrier where I couldn’t really enjoy the view without standing (I think my room was the only one as other balcony rooms seemed to be difficult. Bed was ok. The room itself seemed clear at first but had tons of dust. Service seemed friendly but I didn’t have much interaction with them. The restaurant was actually a nice find and had great food.Everything just seemed really dated and in need of some significant renovations. But, overall it’s an OK option if you’re in a bind.

We decided to try this one out. We got a beach view room, and it was very quiet. They have ample self parking and it’s only three stories which means you can use the stairs instead of being trapped in an elevator during this pandemic.The restaurant is on site and their food is excellent. We had daily breakfast and had dinner from their once (all take out due to pandemic). It was all very good!The front desk staff is so friendly and responds quickly to any requests. Our only complaint was that we asked for more water and they gave us pay water instead. That was odd. They should give two bottles each day. Other than that, they went above and Beyond to make our week stay comfortable and pleasant. We will definitely be back.

This was one of the worst hotels we have ever been in. We noticed an ant on one of the tables shortly after check-in, which we removed without saying anything because we were on the first floor and we didnt want to read too much into it. When we came back in the evening we noticed more and more of them even on the two beds. At this point we let the lady at the front desk know. She acted extremely annoyed, but offered to change the sheets. We told her that were not really comfortable with that idea since they were everywhere and would just crawl back into the bed. At this point she got really annoyed, so we left and thought about what we could do since apparently there were no other rooms left. She didnt apologize, she didnt offer anything else to help the situation. When the ant situation got worse we went back to the front desk to let her know we couldnt stay here. Although we showed her a video she looked at us suspiciously and asked us if she could take a look. Naturally we said yes. When she found only three ants on the bed she shrugged her shoulders and told us they were only water ants and that they had them in the lobby as well. When I said that theyre still not something I want in my bed, she just shrugged her shoulders. This went on for a while so I finally suggested to call pest control before letting other guests sleep in the room to which she just said no.Although we checked out at roughly 11 pm, basically homeless, they withdrew money for the room and parking. I contacted the customer service three times already and was told that my complaint was forwarded to the manager. I havent heard of anyone for almost two weeks now. Its getting ridiculous.We found shelter at the Inn at Venice Beach, which I highly recommend. The rooms were clean, the staff extremely friendly and there were no ants to be found - even though the hotel was even closer to the beach.

It’s not worth staying at the hotel since it’s out of date older than it appeared on their website. The hallway first floor carpets smelled like old folks home moldy smelled and gave me a headache. I had to hold my breathe walking to and from my room. The hand and bath towels were dirty with black spots I had to hand picked it off the towels. I didn’t even used it. The lobby coffee station didn’t have any cups and the lids didn’t even fit the cups. I was charged $6 two days later not knowing the reason why? Overall it was a 7 out of 10 for us. Check-in was very quick. There was lot of parking space to be utilized but no reserve parking. We had to self park and there was $25 per night charge for parking (relatively cheaper than what others in the area were charging). Rooms were very spacious with great view of the Marina Beach and the harbor with a very spacious patio. The view at any time of the day was just amazing to look at with lots of greenery, facing the beach and the pool. We were provided with two Queen beds which seemed smaller than usual queen beds and pillows were very squishy. The walls and ceiling of the room are paper thin and you can easily hear people walking in the hallways and upstairs and its super loud. As many others have pointed out, lighting inside the room is not upto the mark and once you put the curtains, it gets super dark.Amenities included were a minibar, ironing board and iron, Coffee Maker and a newish Samsung 55 inch Flat LCD. Microwave was not provided initially but one was provided free of charge once we requested which was nice.So overall it was a decent stay as this place has great view with reasonable price for stay and parking, decent amenities provided.

You never know when you book a hotel in a city you havent been to what you will wind up with. We were so happy with our choice! The location was great, it was a very nice area, the hotel was really nice with a great view of the marina from a very spacious balcony, the room was spacious with comfortable beds. I also cant say enough good things about the front desk staff, so friendly! It was very nice to stay where we could just walk out the door onto the beach area and have an area to swim and paddle board. If you have younger children this is a great little beach area! We will definitely stay here again.

The room we were first checked into didn’t meet our expectations and had a strong odor. After speaking to the front desk twice and getting nowhere, we were able to work with Jazmine Tapia - a front desk supervisor- who was very understanding, had a great attitude and great customer service skills. She was able to find us another room and went above and beyond for us the whole stay. She was friendly and made our stay a wonderful one we won’t forget!

Held an overnight retreat here with my team. Everyone had a phenomenal time. The attentiveness and customer service from the staff was 5-stars (Thank you Alex and Megan). The rooms with amazing marina views were 5-stars. The quality and taste of the food was 5-stars. I plan on coming back for a personal visit and will definitely bring the team back again. Customer service was awful and over charged my card, was very rude and did not apologize for the multiple transactions (at least 5 attempts) she charged,due to her lack of knowledge. It was my birthday and she ruined the remainder of my trip, by depleting my account and causing fraud alert on my account, so I was unable to access my funds. I have also reported this hotel to Better Business Bureau. I would not stay here.

We were riding Water Taxis around Marina Del Rey and the Jamaica Inn was next to Mothers Beach where the boat landing was. Great brunch experience, great view of the water. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We tried five items on the menu and all were great. I always feel if you pick five items on a menu and all are excellent you will find anything else on the menu to be in the same category.

We recently held our Board Retreat at Jamaica Bay Inn and couldnt be happier. The meeting room, breakfast/coffee service, lunch service on the patio, and dinner on the patio as well, was incredible. The attendees (25) were all impressed and have requested we continue to host our retreats at this property. We had almost the entire board of directors stay at the hotel, plus several key presenters. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere at this property had just enough of a beach vibe that for a early summer evening, it was very enjoyable. No complaints with Happy Hour and post dinner cocktails out on the patio around the couches and fire pits overlooking Mothers Beach and the hotel pool. I highly recomment the Catering Manager, Chris, and his staff for your events. They were attentive and made sure everything was taken care of for us. Thank you Chris and the staff at Jamaica Bay Inn...we will be back. It was a great event!!!

We stayed 2 nights last weekend to celebrate an anniversary. The location itself is cute and the marina and small private beach is cute as well. The gentleman who checked us in was very professional and very kind, however the girl they have who stayed at the front desk after he left was very unprofessional and rude. We had 2 nights with NO hot water. The handle of the shower literally just fell off as we were looking at our shower. We called several times, no answer, long hold times, I sent my fiancé downstairs as I was waiting (thinking they were so busy) and no one was down there! They never sent up maintenance and when I called again they had already left. The said they couldn’t change our room because there was no availability and that there was nothing they could do. When we checked out they only took off $100 of a $500 bill. There were stains on the carpet and honestly it is not worth the price. I definitely do NOT recommend this place. Turned our romantic get away into a ratchet no showering mess. Stay at the Hilton or Marina Del Rey hotel instead.

Pros: We were upgraded to a King Suite with a Marina View, they gave us an extra Breakfast voucher for our toddler, staff was super friendly and helpful, and hotel was beautiful and clean. We love the small private bay beach with the playground. It was perfect for our 15 month old who wasnt quite ready for the ocean.Cons: We couldnt get the thermostat to change...kept going to a higher temp and the room felt stuffy. Also, there was a noisy wedding reception right below our balcony which made it hard to enjoy the balcony and view due to the noise.The cons were minimal compared to the pros. Wonderful stay! Staff were friendly and accommodating, room and hotel were clean, location was great. Will stay here again.Despite this being a non smoking and non pet property, almost all of our neighboring rooms smoked on their balconies (both cigarettes and weed) and it wafted in to our room and was annoying when we were sitting on the balcony. Perhaps security could roam the resort and keep an eye on this. There were also pets barking and running all over the grass near the pool/restaurant area.

This is the perfect place to stay in this area. The rates are very economical given the area. The hotel is clean, quiet and has full amenities. The service was very friendly and the work space in the room was perfect as was the free internet. I ordered a room service breakfast so I could get all my work done in the morning and it was fabulous. With a son and granddaughter in Venice this will now be my go to spot. Clean, safe, convenient and accommodating. You cant ask for more than that.

We had issues with the following during our stay with Jamaica Bay Inn - Marina Del Rey1) Upon checking in, I mentioned that I installed the Hilton app to get the digital key. The front desk resource said I can go straight to our room. Upon reaching the room, the digital key was not yet activated. I had to go back to the front desk to get it activated. The front desk guys could have at least confirmed our key was activated first, before asking us to go up to our room.2) Once we got into the room, we were dismayed that we didnt necessarily get a Marina View. It was more like a Partial Marina View which is in a lower rate level. When I called Guest Services, I was told that unfortunately, their system says it is the Marina View. I can show pictures on what is visible in the room and what was advertised when I was booking. I really dont mind staying in a Partial Marina View if there wasnt a rate difference but when you paid extra just to get the featured advertised, its disappointing if you end up with something else.3) The pictures in the website also show that the Marina View room has a bath tub. To our dismay (again), the room doesnt have one, and instead, it was a walk-in shower. We already prepared to have our kids bathe and took all their bath toys with us but unfortunately, we didnt have a choice but to take the room that was assigned to us. We were told that since it was late, there were no more rooms available for us to change to.4) We requested for a late check-out at 1 PM which we truly appreciate. However, when we got back to our room around 12:15 PM to wrap up, the digital key wont work again. I had to go down to the front desk again to get a physical card.

The first issue was that the room was booked for 4 adults, we had to request towels We even had to ask for toliet paper as the room was half used prior to our arrival. I guess the room was set up for 2, even only had 2 complimentary robes, which was fine we brought our own. I guess housekeeping didnt get the memo. The other issues is that guest have to pay $25 to self park and $30 for valet. It would be nice if self park was a perk. Since you have to pay for everything else, food, drinks, not even a coffee maker in the room or complimentary coffee . This place is old and past its prime. I know its on the little beach and you can walk to a couple of restaurants, if you can get past all the homeless people. Its not up to a Hilton standard and it really needs to be knocked down and have a new hotel built in its place. The restaurant is pricey but the food is really very good. The pool is just gross. The rooms have been refreshed but still feel old. The bathrooms are tiny. The mattress is really worn out and lumpy. We paid a lot to stay here and it wasnt worth it. We had to trudge to the desk to ask for basics - like enough towels and shampoo for two people. Hotels need to stop blaming bad service on COVID. There were two people on the reservation. Are we supposed to share washcloths now because... COVID?

I didnt catch her name though. The pool was very nice and clean and the view of the Marina was amazing. We dont like having anyone clean our room while we are at hotels, but the cleaning lady was very accommodating with taking our trash and giving us refills on toilet paper etc. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a great little hotel in a great location, the cleaning staff are incredible and the facilities very well kept - it’s biggest problem is it’s catering- simple hotel fair is absent in favour of a restaurant that provides ‘fusion cuisine’. We ate out for breakfast after the first day and many guest uses deliver services for simple fare like a pizza. If they could sort this the hotel would be ideal.

We had a great experience, and the value relative to the Santa Monica beach was well worth it. It was 60% price wise of the beach views and Much quieter.The rooms are modern and the views were amazing. We were there for anniversary and I requested a room with a balcony because we like to do some exercises out there in the mornings. they said not all rooms have balconies but since we requested we were able to get it. That was really special and made the weekend in thatthey said The curtains are also completely black in the mornings which I really appreciate it because we were able to sleep in till 10 a.m. one day.couple little things about the room that were off, the bathroom door didnt slide shut all the way due to a design flaw, soap had a soapbox but no soap in there which was troublesome as and the refrigerator wasnt plugged in and we needed things to refrigerate that went warm and had to be thrown out.Otherwise great value and great experience!

Overall a good hotel. I dont understand having to pay extra for parking at a hotel where I am already paying to stay at, but had to pay $25 per night. Also got a room on the third floor. There is only 1 elevator, because the others only to up to the second floor. Often had to wait for 2-3 times for an elevator that was full. Hallways are very hot to stand and wait in, no air circulation.

This hotel needs work. The beds are old and VERY uncomfortable. The water pressure is horrible. The toilet was on its last leg, at least thats how it sounded. The bathroom door would not close all the way. Which is disrespectful. THE BATHROOM NEEDS AN OPERABLE DOOR.There is NO WHERE TO HANG YOUR TOWEL after a shower. There was a huge oversized yellow chair just stuck/stuffed in the corner that did not fit and was in your face when you slept.and its too dark. Need some brightness to the room.REMODEL GUYS.The service was ok. The lady at the bar was GREAT but the lil man that I ordered my coffee from the 2nd day was Rude as heck. I told him that the latte was small for $7. He told me He doesnt make the prices of the coffee. I didnt like that at all.The location is wonderful and the furniture is cool for the Jamaican look. One of the more disappointing stays I have had at a hotel, and I travel across the US for work. The room smelled musky and old. No hot water for showers. Upon calling the front desk, I was told that the hot water temp is regulated and could not be changed. So we took cold showers! Yikes! Upon asking for a supervisor, I was told the super would call me the next day. I did not receive a call, email or any form of contact from the supervisor. Very disappointing stay for the price we paid!The view overlooking the marina was beautiful. Breakfast at the Beachside Restaurant was amazing. Wonderful location to stay while visiting LA for a wedding/family reunion. Flexible seating areas for a large group with beautiful views. Lovely walking paths around the property, beach views from rooms, pool and jacuzzi. The food at the restaurant was consistent, beautifully presented and fresh so enjoyed eating there several times. We would not hesitate to return. The only error was that an initial reservation I had made for our group the evening we arrived was lost, however the hostess was quick to accommodate our group and set up a table for us.

We met Oscar at the front desk at check-in and he was very welcoming from the moment we arrived. He was very polite and answered all of our questions. We saw him everyday during our stay and even though the hotel was totally sold out he always greeted us and would chat with us on our way past the front desk. Thank you Oscar for taking such great care of us during our stay.The hotel is very nice and it is in an amazing location. We spent very little time in our room except to shower and sleep because there is so much to do all around the area.Pro tip: rent bikes from the hotel. They are cheaper and you get to begin and end your adventure at the hotel. You absolutely have to do a sunset bike ride along the beach.Super Pro Tip: take the water bus. It only costs $1.00 each way (cash only). It isn’t reliable transportation so if you are on a tight schedule don’t do it, but for a cool boat ride around the Marina it is more than worth it and it can pick you up and drop you off right by the hotel at Mother’s Beach.Back to the hotel.. we have no complaints. Our room was clean. Service was polite and professional. We asked for clean towels and they brought them up right away. I read in the Google Maps description that this is a 3-star hotel. They may be true but the location, restaurant, and staff make it feel more like a 4 or 5-star hotel.I also had a minor billing discrepancy that I discovered a few days after checkout and I honestly did not want to call to deal with it, but I did anyway. I wish I remembered the woman’s name that I talked to because she made it so easy. They refunded me the amount in question to my credit card without any issues and I just remembered saying, “that was too easy.”This was my second time staying in MDR and I really enjoyed the Jamaica Bay Inn more than another Hilton property across the street that I had stayed in before. We will definitely be back here again because we loved the hotel and we loved the MDR/Venice Beach/Santa Monica area.

I didnt stay here but we stopped by and ate at the restaurant. We spent about 3 hours in the area and were very happy to have found this place. Even though we didnt stay at the hotel, the bell hop took our luggage and we ate at the awesome marina side restaurant they have. The food was great and everyone was super friendly. We walked past the rooms and saw inside that they were clean and roomy and even got to spend some time by the pool which had comfortable loungers and a clean pool. So glad we found this place to spend some time before our flight back home. 5 stars for the friendly employees, awesome food, and clean environment.

The only reason I gave a 4-star vs a 5-star is due to the menu choices in your restaurants. The menu is complicated! Too much fancy stuff!I could not find ONE menu item that appealed to me.I went across the street to Killer Shrimp to get a turkey club sandwich with fries for dinner. I told the hostess when I placed my order that I liked their menu better than Jamaica Bay Inn where I was staying & the hostess replied I hear that a lot. Not every one likes gourmet food at every meal. A simple sandwich choice or 2 would be appreciated & more convenient for your guests. And especially those with special dietary needs like me!

I dislike having to leave bad reviews but I was really upset about my recent hotel stay at Jamaica Bay Inn. I made reservations weeks in advance over the phone. I spoke to a representative and asked her how can I guarantee that I would have the best balcony view and she suggested the suite. She told me it was the last one left and I would have to pay immediately to reserve the room. I paid for the room and was looking forward to my stay at the hotel. The view was the main reason I booked the hotel, however upon arriving and checking in, I was booked in the only suite that didn’t have a balcony view. I was really upset because I specifically asked for this when reserving the room. I felt mislead by the representative because she was probably getting a commission and wanted to convince me to take the last suite available. The front desk representative didn’t make it any better. He passed off the blame to the phone rep and said they don’t always have the accurate information because they aren’t on site, which is no excuse. I had to be transferred to a King room in order to get a balcony view, which was not what I envisioned for my stay. Aside from that I wasn’t offered any accommodations for the inconvenience. Also walking up to my room the entire hotel hallways smelled like mildew or a sewer. The smell was horrible. I’m disappointed in this hotel! I heard good things about them prior to my stay.

The front desk was very pleasant, but constantly gave us the wrong information. We were told our party of 14 were all on the same floor when we werent. We were told our keys would open both our door and our sons and it didnt. The pool was very nice and we enjoyed sitting outside one day but the cushions were wet and we got soaked . The view from Jamiaca Bay is very nice. If your place is by the restaurant/beach side, (if paid for Marina view), you will see whats called Mothers Beach. It wasnt the cleanest beach, with a sock and baby shorts floating in the water. However, the hotel room was very nice and relaxing. The hallways are also very nicely decorated. I was not able to see the inside of restaurant, for they were doing renovations. However, I was able to get a seat on the patio area a few times. At day its relaxing but a bit expensive, the breakfast was somewhere between 10 and 16 dollars per meal. At night, there are also fire pits, which are nice but at certain spots it may get very hot, and for me a little unbearable.

Ooooh!! I had their hamburger burger with fries--a meal for two! So I took half of it home. It had to be cut in half. My friend had a tremendous salad which I did not take note of because my burger was so delicious!! I think I got an entire potato with my fries and the burger meat was perfectly prepared!!!We were well attended beginning with the valet parking. Once inside the hotel, the restaurant seating was in a spot with a lovely view. Everyone was courteous and service was prompt even though the restaurant was busy. My stay a the Jamaica Bay was very disappointing. The website is very misleading. My stay at Hotel Alba-Hilton Tapestry lead me to the Jamaica Bay at the Marina Del Rey. I wish I could share pictures of the dirty and tattered furniture. The carpet was so filthy that my allergies immediately flare up. Upon arrival the front desk attendant informed me that my room would not be cleaned unless I requested to have it done. That should have made me make a B-line to the door. I spent most of my evening trying to find accommodations at another hotel. I called Hilton Honors and was told I could go to another property at a higher rate. I found a DTLA hotel with luxury accommodations and a courtesy driver. Hilton has lost me as a customer.

I booked “Marina View” king bed with bathtub room which was more expensive then other options. And for some reason they gave me two queen beds room with partial view on the first floor with a shower. I was traveling by my own and it didn’t make any sense to me to have so many sleeping places. Obviously I got back to the front desk asking to change the room but they said they fully booked and also, because I already entered the room they couldn’t take it back because the cleaning service was done for that day!!! It looked like a swindle to me! Don’t buy upgraded rooms you won’t get it anyway!So disappointed!

The view was nice. Rooms clean but we have been to other places same cost three star and four where early continental breakfast and lager menu with more selection. It wasnt bad, gotta say, the staff makes the hotel.

They look beautiful on the outside of pancakes but really wet on inside, not sure if it was cooked and just really wet and pudding like on inside...yuk! To bad because the give 5 pancakes. They also are not vegan friendly.

Friendly and understanding staff. We made our reservation day-of because of a travel agency mix-up, and the staff felt so bad for our hassle they gave us some extra free drinks. On top of that. we had some special accommodations we needed at the bar, and the manager was more than happy to take care of us. The bar tender was kind enough to apply our free drinks to some of their more pricey options, and we took fool advantage of the pool and hot tub. Easy walk to Venice beach.

Great location and pretty reasonably priced for where it is. Stayed here a few times and they are always friendly except for the valet parking crew. They really get upset if you choose to self park, I have a racing clutch in my car and it can be tricky to drive so I don’t want anyone else driving it. But they start following you saying they have to park it. When I finally make my way to the front desk they usually shoe them away.

I have been coming to this site for 25 years and have always had good experiences. This trip was very disappointing. Rate was way too high for amenities. No coffee available even for purchase in the am, and second floor wreaked of sewage both days. Nauseating smell that was clearly coming from the building. Room was not very clean either and TVs are outdated for 2021.

My only suggestion is that they upgrade the mattresses and pillows. Slightly uncomfortable and not what youd expect from the Hilton brand. Outside of that, though, what a great place to stay in LA. Great location in Marina del Rey, not too far from LAX, overlooks a marina, lots of great restaurants close by, etc. Theyve really done a great job of making this a nice place to stay at a decent rate. Would love to stay there again.

The Jamaica Bay Inn by Hilton was so very busy when we checked in last Saturday afternoon. Transferring from the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills to the Jamaica Inn was a shock as far as the service, the rooms and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel is on the beach and has a Caribbean vibe. The restaurant, although very full, had good food and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean. Its a nice place to be if you want to stay in Marina del Rey.

I am here for a total of 3 weeks. Its been a week, I dont recommend this place and its definitely not worth the price (average $250-350 per room per night). Here is why:They wash the decks/outside walkways, so they are slippery in the morning, around 10am. I slipped and fell. They dont care, they tell you not to wear sandals... this place is called Jamaica Bay Inn and its in Southern California, 80 degrees outside and they want you to wear shoes when walking outside! Laundry service is poor, returned the wrong socks to me, no service Sunday, they pick up early morning, drop off late night. Its too complicated and expensive, $8.50 to wash a pair of pants. I requested laundry bags, they took an hour to bring them and I missed washing that day. If you request for them to pick up your laundry and take it down then you will definitely miss the daily cut off time. They take about 30 minutes to get to your room, so I recommend doing things yourself instead of waiting for them to help you.Most of the time you have to call and request things twice or go down to the lobby so they can help you right then and there.Employee at night, Angelica, doesnt care about anything, requested several things, never brought to me. Had to call in the morning. Day employees are nicer/more attentive, but thats probably because supervisors are around. This place is definitely not worth the price.Good things - when you communicate a problem to the GM or supervisor, they take care of it. Bed comfortable. 24 hr business center. Great view, you are right on the beach (if you are lucky enough to be put on this side of the hotel - the other has a fire station near it so you will be hearing sirens all night)Bad things - everything else. Employees dont care, you have to ask for things more than once before they are done, hair on towels/sheets/bathtub, stains on carpet. Slippery walkways. Walkway doors are HEAVY and NOT automatic, the elevators are far and you have to go through doors to reach them - so this isnt a place Id recommend for strollers/wheelchairs. I asked for a baby crib, they brought me a DIRTY playpen (walls were dirty and bottom had sand). I asked for another and they said they didnt have any more. TV channels dont match printed listings in the room, so I had to flip through every time. I asked for a room with 2 beds and a bathtub (its almost impossible to bathe a baby in a shower) and I was given a room with one king bed for $300. The faucet handle falls off & the bathtub plug is broken. Lots of small problems. I thought it was just because I am picky, but the problems dont end, so I gave up on asking them to fix things. I guess no one else complains because they try to avoid me when I go to the lobby, but I guess not many others are here for 3 weeks, have a baby or use laundry service. :/ Their website says they use the Philosophy brand toiletries, which is a lie. Website says free breakfast, another lie.

Let me start by saying property is nice, clean and has a great location. Be awrae if there is a problem, especially at night and especially if dealing with Ana-front office, you will be literally left with no choice but to leave. I know extreme contentment and extreme unhappiness motivate reviews in people, with the latter being true here. There is a bias in me but the public should know.I stayed with my wife due to a need to see her physician early in the morning after recent surgery. When we went to shower in the afternoon/early evening, there was no hot water. Turns out hot water had been out for hours with no notice to the guests. When I complained, the front office employee, Ana, expressed no apologies or contrition. She offered no gesture on behalf of the hotel. This upset me, especially with a wife in the condition that brought us to the hotel. Stuff happens, I get it. Things break down, I get it. What would you pay for a room with no hot water? As I grew increasingly frustrated, Ana grew increasingly frustrated and she withdrew further. I asked for something to be done, a gesture, a reduction in the room rate...something! She vehemently declined and would not contact her supervisor, who was not on-site. Ultimately she told me that the only thing she would do was to refund my stay but I had to go back to my room, gather my things, bring her back two key cards and leave. Otherwise, nothing. Humiliated and infuriated, I asked my wife to make a decision and I would defer to her. Despite being in much pain, she said she did not feel comfortable staying and we left...in the 9:30 hour at night.So what say you? Should the hotel offered a rate reduction, or some other gesture? Ive stayed at Hiltons on different continents and have never imagined that a staff member would ask you to turn in your keys before anything is done by the hotel. Travelers beware, especially of Ana.

Low water pressure, room was not ready far after check in time, the bedding leaves lint all over you after a good nights rest, old phones with no speaker. Thats how old this place is. But the hall and room smelled musty on arrival; the water pressure was very low and the tub drained VERY slowly - The water was over my ankles by the time I finished my shower; and the internet was VERY slow. First time here today and it wont be the last. How difficult is it to get a simple cocktail on the beach, apparently very difficult. After driving for an hour visiting several bars along the coast we tried The Jamaica Inn. Warm welcome, happy staff, simple and easy. Social distancing seemed totally effortless. Every restaurant in LA needs to be this organized right now. Oh and drinks were great with a beautiful setting overlooking the beach. Might even go back tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.

We stayed there Feb. 18th through the 21st 2017.The view of the Marina was nice but thats about it. The beds were hard. Guest parking was in the way back and they charge you $24 per day. If you want them to park your car closer you pay $34 for valet. We booked three rooms and in one of them there were ants . We told the front desk and the second time we told them we showed them pictures they offered to knock off one day fee of parking. Theres only one main elevator and you can hear the washing machine from the lobby.

My family and I came to California for my fathers birthday around New Years Eve. We were going to the Rose Bowl and Disneyland. We picked this hotel because in was close to the airport and had great reviews. The hotel is one of the nicest hotel my family and I have ever stayed at. Our rooms were clean and spacious. This place is a hidden gem, only 111 rooms, is right on the sand/beach. The pool is right on the boardwalk so you have a view of the ocean while swimming in their pool. They also have a paddle boarding lesson area attached to the hotel, a huge parking lot/valet, friendly service & it was very clean & secure with security guards & cameras. I felt safe & relaxed. A+ in my book for a local, I was impressed for sure with this gem in marina del rey!

Our room location was perfect for watching my nephew swim at the pool ..the view of the Marina was amazing ..we were able to walk to the grocery store or hop on the bus and we rode the shuttle to get to the beach...Everything and everyone was fantastic and I will definitely return ..Besides the cool temperatures, I had a wonderful vacation at Jamaica Bay..

Spent a night with my sisters the place is really nice the only thing I would suggest for the business is, the process of checking in and out I have never heard of any Hotel, Resort or other that have asked guests to check in then check out then check back in again. I would like to hear why they believe this process is good for guests when they could be enjoying themselves and the sites not worry about having to stop what their doing just to check out/check in. I wont get a room here I like Airbnb better.

When my husband and I first arrived our original room wasnt ready we had to wait for over an hour, but front desk Jessica and gus,and manager made our a better room for us and we got to be in a beautiful better room with a balcony which I luved so much. The service was excellent, the location was great. If thinking of going to eat there, go somewhere else. The problem was with the COVID policies at the restaurant. We stayed there in May 2021 and the restaurant had a lot of their tables blocked off, but not in a way that would prevent the spread of COVID. They allowed us to order takeout from the bar and allowed us to eat out of boxes right next to the open tables at the fire pit (because that makes sense), but yet would not allow us to sit down at the tables, or offer us real plates (I had to borrow some). They allow people to stand next to strangers to order takeout for over an hour but don’t allow them to sit at a table outside. Pictures below are at the busiest times during brunch.I get that every company wants to pretend that they are being woke, but at some point common sense needs to apply.

I held our companys corporate event for our top partners at Jamaica Bay Inn. The location right on the beach is stunning and the hotel is clean, beautifully decorated, and has all the comforts of a high-end boutique hotel. Chris Matsumoto and his entire team, including Jeri our banquet manager, were super attentive, accommodating, and took excellent are off our group. Nice touches are the fire pit outside patio bar area. Food is also excellent here. I would recommend this hotel/ event venue, and will book another gathering here.
