Jake helped me with a probate sale of a single family house in Livermore. The house needed work before being put on the market and Jake took care of everything; from deciding what repairs/updates the house needed, to coordinating with contractors to make the necessary fixes. This was extremely helpful as I live an hour away from the property. Overall, the entire process was smooth sailing and I’m extremely pleased with the result. We chose Jake Fahnhorst out of a large number of friends and acquaintances with real estate experience. Simply put, Jakes actions in his life show that he lives to serve others, so in our mind there could be no one better to represent us. This idea held true as we struggled with the timing of listing our home. We wanted to be out of the house before we listed it and it was difficult to secure a new residence in the city we were moving to. Jake never put the slightest pressure on us to stick to our desired timeline and instead he offered us help at every conceivable point through the process. We never once had to consider any aspect of our selling process, from vendor engagements to marketing strategies Jake always had someone that was available to address it. When, inevitably, a key vendor failed to produce Jake found a replacement to do the job only days later. Perhaps most surprisingly, he and his fellow producers actually engaged in physical labor themselves to see that we stayed on schedule. Just remarkable dedication.I would recommend Jake’s services to any of my family and friends or acquaintances. His full circle approach removes stress from the process by putting his client’s well being at the center of his team’s focus. For us that meant being able to focus on conducting an out of state move while selling a property that had never been on the market in the sixty years since it was built. When the listing went live three days after we departed, I could only describe it as a jaw dropping representation. I cant say enough good things about The Jake Fahnhorst Team! Jake was incredibly helpful, honest, knowledgeable and dependable throughout the entire process. From our initial meeting, we could tell Jake was different then other realtors we’ve worked with in the past. Jake did a great job in managing our expectations. He gave us clear explanations of everything, including how to price our home in this difficult market to get it sold. Jake and his team did an excellent job at communicating with us through the entire process including minute by minute updates during open houses. Even though we had some challenging buyers, the entire process went much more quickly than anticipated. Jake went above and beyond by physically helping with some of the repairs to get our house sold. Jake had our house in contract in two weeks and had us in contract in our new home a few days later. Jake is a testament to the fact that you do not need to be pushy and aggressive to be an effective agent. When we were finally ready to sell our first home and purchase another, Jake was recommended to us by a mutual friend. It was the best advice we ever got. It’s no easy feat to sell a home and purchase a new one contingent on the sale of your previous home. It’s even more difficult to do this in the midst of a global pandemic. Yet, somehow Jake not only made it possible, but also seamless. Jake was my listing agent and he helped my selling experience go smoothly throughout the whole process. If Im not sure on certain things, he would get me on the phone and explained it clearly. He helped keeping me on track with all the paperwork. Best of all, I let him decide on the listing price as he knew the market better than I do. I have know Jake for many years and have always found him to be honest and kind. When I needed a local Realtor to sell my home I knew he would be the person I would want to sell my home. He was only a text away when I needed his assistance and was glad to help. He helped me arrange to have needed repairs done that was an undaunting task for me to do on my own. It was not an easy task to sell during these trying times but Jake persevered until the house was sold.

If you are looking for a realtor, look no more!! Jake is AWESOME!!! I cant say enough great things about him! We were referred to him by our banker. He came to our first meeting fully prepared. He made such a complete and professional presentation - we were blown away. He brought in someone to stage our home, made sure all the inspections were scheduled and completed prior to putting our home on the market, so everything was ready to go. He went above and beyond. He was completely responsive and proactive every step of the way and made for a seamless, no stress transaction! We moved to another part of the state and sooooo wished we could have had him for a realtor on our new purchase. LOVE JAKE!!

I would recommend Jake Fahnhorst to anyone looking to buy in the Livermore, CA area. In fact, we already recommended him to one set of friends and my wife’s parents who will hopefully be moving near us soon. The odds are really stacked against first time home buyers in the SF Bay Area. We were expecting to be shopping for months but ended up getting our first offer accepted and closing 1 month later!I weighed my options regarding going with internet competitors for realtor and lending services. In the end though I think it made a big difference using a local realtor and local lender, particularly for a first-time home buyer. If you are a first-time home buyer, you will want that more white-glove attention than you could get through internet competition and this will also help manage your stress levels. When you are competing against dozens of offers on the same house, you need every advantage you can get. A local realtor and lender may make your offer that much more attractive when the seller is considering which offers will close with the least problems.Jake is someone we were able to speak candidly and comfortably with, and since he is also a father with young children he understood our priorities and limitations. He’s local to Livermore and was a teacher there before becoming a realtor which I feel gave him excellent insight into the area. Jake suggested a lender after we asked for recommendations that we were very happy with. Between the four of us, we were able to keep in constant communication from offer to closing. Being able to communicate quickly and effectively through a group text chat for quick questions and a zoom call for more complex conversations makes things so much simpler. Issues that came up as a natural part of the home-buying process were solved quickly. Of course, a lot of this relies on the buyer (you and I) also doing our part to answer quickly and provide any supporting documentation needed right away.In summary, I would without hesitation recommend Jake and use him again for our real estate needs. Very accessible, quick responses, and able to communicate and exchange documentation remotely very effectively. Was able to speak candidly and did not pressure us to stretch our offer budget. I felt comfortable trusting his recommendations and information.
