I randomly came for a cleaning and I just found out i have 13 cavities.Rachel and the doctors took just an hour to finish all of them and did 7 xrays before the cleaning process and gave the perfect diagnoses. Really comfortable treatment and super fast. Lovely staff aswell ❤️

It was my first time to go to the dentist here, and it was easier to make an appointment than other places. And its nice to be able to see a doctor on Saturday. There were also Korean doctors, so it was nice to have no problem communicating. I could easily understand the rest of the medical treatment and expenses because they were kind.

They are our family dentists. I recently brought my daughter for her regular 6months cleaning. We like how the office operates. All the costs and deductibles are always shared with us upfront. The front office is very efficient. They even have pediatric dentist. They set up reminders for future appointments so we don’t miss treatments. Overall, we are happy.

One of the smoothest experiences ever getting a much needed night guard. Was able to book an appointment within a weeks time, they sent over documents to complete electronically, and I was able to get in and out of the office in under an hour. Thats including an evaluation, consultation and teeth impression scan. Couldnt be happier with the results and friendly staff. Definitely recommend iSmile.

Dr. Le and the team took great care of me at iSmile. I hadn’t been to the dentist for a while and he was super thorough with how my dental health was and what I needed to do to maintain it. I have been there multiple times for regular cleaning and checkup. I had pain in my gums earlier this year and they fail to diagnose the issue. At that time I changed my dentist and also got my cleaning done from my new dentist. I realized all these years I have been to ismile they were not actually cleaning it properly, also failed to diagnosed some issues which led to bigger problems now.

I came here cause I felt a chip in my tooth and they were the only ones open on new years. The dentist told me I needed a crown and also that I had 4 cavities (even though I had gotten my teeth inspected 3 months earlier with no issues). They wanted to operate day-of - Total cost would be over 1k (with insurance). I went to get a second opinion and they said I just have a small chip and they sanded it down in less than 5 minutes. This place is predatory. Please GET A SECOND OPINION if they tell you you need anything

This place is awesome. We have been coming here for 6 years. They have different doctors for different professional services (implant, pediatric). They know how to deal with kids so my kids love come to see dentist since they are age of 2. They have doctors or people speak other language too. Don’t come to the dental don’t come to the dental! The management is a disaster. You call your right email. No one responds you even after is no one care about your case. I just do the eye exam last two weeks ago and the doctor says the treatment plan will be sent me at the same day all the day after that day. One week later, no one response me. And you call you ask about this. They don’t care about you. they said we will send you later, By the Real situation is no one remember that. so don’t waste your time just choose another dental.

They are solely focused on Money.I went for cleaning but they took xrays and whatnot, and charged heftily to my insurance.Ironically, The cleaning was sub par, they didn’t polish my teeth after scraping. When they owe you money, its very hard to get back! They double charged me for the same amount (~$300 each, ~$600 in total). They said it will take 15 business day to response my email on the overcharge thing (AND theres NO guarantee they will response). This is ridiculous! When I started to go to this office, I changed my mind about going to the dentist. Reception is quick and accurate at getting patients in out, so queue times are minimal. The assistants and doctors are very professional and clear when it comes to your oral health. I wish I could give it a no stars.Subpar job and mostly subpar dentists. Dr. Vinh performed a removal of my old bridge and gave me the crappiest temp replacement that chipped away within 4 hours and cut my tongue....and then I sat in his office for 2 hours while he changed only the temp and while placing it, he insinuated that this is one of my best jobs.. well of course I did not go back to him and got Dr. Kulkarni to work on the permanent bridge and thankfully she was great!Either way, in all of this rush to just get the money, they filed my claim wrongly- it was not a new bridge, it was a replacement. But they misinformed my insurance and here I get a bill of some thousands of dollars. Such a joke this place is!I am never going back here. Id suggest to recheck any claims they have filed for you in case you have visited this dentist office and had to pay a ton of money after a job was done.Update: a month after my fillings and bridge, I went to my home country and had a massive pain in one of the new cavity that was filled by Dr. Kulkarni, and I asked to redo the filling just in case something is wrong although nothing was seen in the x-ray. So the dentist removed the filling done by iSMILE and turns out there was decay at the bottom of the filling. Such a sham of a dentist place this is. It has only caused me distress and pain after the job was apparently done. So now I can easily say this place absolutely is the worst place to get your tooth problems fixed because they make it worse.

I had a very positive experience at this clinic. From the initial teeth cleaning and X-ray examination to receiving personalized treatment recommendations for my teeth, everything was excellent. I have been troubled by my teeth for a long time, and the doctor arranged a treatment plan for me, including phased fillings and crown treatment. Terrible diagnostics and treatment. Went in with an issue for food getting stuck between my teeth. Took full X-rays ( unnecessary/ optional), fixed a minor cavity elsewhere that did not even bother me, and once the anesthesia wore off, found the issue was not resolved. Went back again, a different doctor was present . Did X-rays again, god knows why . Then said, the fillings had an issue and for insurance purposes, the original doctor needs to fix it . Went back again, the original doctor said, this is not even a cavity issue and she cannot fix it and she cannot recollect why she did not diagnose this before nor why she drilled and fixed a non cavity.

Overall I have not had issues with my doctor here. Very friendly and nice guy. Same with the office staff. My problem tho is two things. First I was told my treatment is gonna cost me X amount of dollars and that led me to actually do the unnecessary crown. But at the end it did cost me 5-6 times more than X. The office manager seems to be a kid who only cares about money and not listening to customers side of story. The second problem is trust issues. In every 6 month visit I am being told you need to this do that (e.g., do 3 crowns two fillings) but I really do not know if thats essential or only good for their business.

Ive visited this office for 10 years from the time this was in Mountain View, but this office is becoming terrible.I had an appointment tomorrow but should cancel it. Because I got reminding texts from few days ago with phone number, I tried to call for cancel multiple times this week. However, those were all unsuccessfully disconnected after 2~3 times of rings. Today, one day prior to the appointment, I can speak to office to cancel but the Office Manager told she would charge $50 of cancelation fee.I explained why my call is late, but basically her position appears to me that patient is responsible for ensuring to cancel, no matter what happens. She kept talking about the office policy and policy. It sounds like that the patient has the burden to be sure to make the phone call for cancel even if there is issue on their own office side. She sounds like their office or phone system had nothing wrong, and all are patients problem when call could not be made. It was rudeness, arrogance and imprudence that Ive never encountered before in my life.I just laughed at the situation. This office became a different space as they moved to Sunnyvale and expanded it to San Jose office which was closed recently.Do not go here unless you are ready to be responsible for their office operation or phone system. She said she has been working there for 6 years, but probably that is why this office service went bad. This dental office was great without this bad service and attitude 10~6 years ago.

My wife and me have been staying with this place for several years now hoping all the bad experiences were just something that it will not keep on repeating. Thats why I wrote staying. We were sooo, sooo naive! This place is not even deserving to be called a business.Where do we start. Each year front desk ladies seem like they dont care or dont want to be there. Each time they use our phone services are down lately excuse when you point out how you booked the appointment for one thing, but their computer is showing an appointment for a completely different procedure.Their Xray staff is always someone new who just started working or is apprentice with no experience. Once a girl X-rayed my teeth few times because she couldnt get it right the first time (??).I never had (neither my wife) same dentist twice. They always without warning schedule you with a different random dentist. My wife was once charged with a ridiculous amount of money because they gave her a dentist who is outside our PPO!! Even though we remind them each time when we come in -this is our Delta dental (very wide network) insurance number.Then their Financial department does their investigations and helps correct the charges. But still, when I told in person to the front desk about what THEIR Financial department corrected, they still dont see that in their computers. Unbelievable!A month later, front desk was saying that this dentist is in process of getting into the network. I mean, NOW you say that.Before last visit, I callled and specifically told the person on the phone what I am coming for. I didnt know if to cry when the front desk told me on the day of appointment if I am here for some different big procedure :(The endodontist office THEY referred me to before (San Jose Endodontics) sent me back to them for a tooth infection consult that the Endodontics office dentist even did Xray and a CT. I brought the CT image on the CD that was given to me and they were emailed the X-ray images from 2 days ago too.Still, the (new to me) dentist aggressively and condescendingly raised her voice telling me that she has to do a new xray. I politely said about my concern of being xrayed multiple times in just two days period and handing her the CD and forwarding email with that new xray. She got even more hostile (???) and said that I better reschedule. What??So, they cancelled my appointment and never refunded me the copay I gave at the front desk. And you know they would charge you $50 if you canceled appointment to them like that. Theyre really shameless.Doesnt matter, leaving this so CONSISTENTLY unprofessional place is the best thing my wife and me could ever do.Its like the dentists here get punished by the owner if they dont milk more money from each customer.We feel so stupid for believing in them of maybe getting better someday. Avoid at all cost!!

Has an emergency check on Sunday. They are just so nice and so patient. Doc Vinh helped me with the pain and have scheduled a root canal. They have normal dentists to all specialists. And their pricing is so kind compared with other places. And they are open for 7 days a week. Literally my best experience with dentists.

We really like this dental clinic because it is very easy to schedule an appointment, and they are also open on weekends, which is a great thing for many people who are very busy during the weekdays. This place becomes worse and worse. I have been with this place for quite a while. Last time I went for a regular cleaning, they asked me to do a X-Ray, which I didnt quite like but was ok to do it.During the X-Ray I needed to bite down a piece of metal, however I was not feeling well that day, and felt nauseous when biting on the metal. At a time when there were still two more teeth at the very far end that have not been finished, I asked the assistant to wait a little bit so that I could do a few deep breathe, in order to proceed with the last two teeth. However, the assistant was not patient and told me the X-Ray is done. I felt confused because the teeth at the very far end are the ones most subject to problems, yet no X-Ray was done for them. I assume they must have claimed to the insurance company they have completed the service.I agree with what the other reviewer said, they want to make profit for as little work as possible. I will not come to this dental, and will choose another place.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE - from customers with many years hereThe clinic is paying its clients 50$ off their medical bill to write a review. Therefore the good reviews you find are all incentivized.This is a big dental site, easy to book appointment but also many doctors and assistants, with good and bad. They dont guarantee which doctor assigned to you.I came for regular cleaning but they insist that I have to do x-ray and refused to do cleaning. I offer to sign the consent form but were told I need to do another cleaning appointment on another time. If they tell me so before the appointment, I would cancel it and dont bother travel here.Cons:- LACK OF CONTINUITY: You see different doctors, with 0 knowledge of your dental history.- LOW QUALITY TREATMENT: Mixed experience depending on the doctor/assistant assigned to you. My last x-ray experience done here was by an apprentice and my jaw sore for days. Similar things happen to my husband.- UNEXPECTED BILLS: One time I was here just for regular cleaning and was charged $64 ish bill after insurance. There are some irrelevant care items they charge to my insurance (something like dental knowledge education). Saw some similar complaints from other reviewer.This is a place for profit - not treatment nor surgery. They have good reasons to charge you or bill the insurance. As they expand their business, they want to filter out low revenue customers.

3/28/24I have done a filling during last visit the dental office on 9/1/23.The experience was not smooth due to the rough edges on the filling surface. The worse experience was the filling fell out within a month while I was traveling. I went to another dentist to redone the filling and he suggested the previous one was not done correctly. This is a bit disappointed. So the implant was done by Dr. Kim and it was great. However everything else was done by others which may not up to expectation. :(8/4/21this is a follow-up to my earlier post on my implant procedure with Dr Kim.In summary, I am eating normally using both sides of my mouth finally after 15 months.Please remember implant is a waiting game.I am extremely happy with Dr Kim for reasons such as:- great knowledge about treatment to my case.- a sound treatment plan make sense (not too conservative but great for my situation)- one stop shopping for all my treatment.- state-of-the-art equipment/instrument.- polite staff and pleasant atmosphere.- very reasonable price and performance.During last few months, I referred few of my friends to see Dr Kim and they are happy with her as well.12/1/20I have a bit complicated situation for dental care. After few second opinions with other doctors. I cautiously decided to go with Dr. Kim. So far I am at 1/3 of my final target and everything is great.I would provide more complete review by end of next year.However if you are wondering which doctor to go with your implant care, I will suggest Dr. Kim as a strong candidate.

This is ridiculous. I never had this pathetic situations with a service provider. I went to iSmile with extreme pain in my tooth. My appointment was at 3:30. I was at chair about 3:40. Doctor came at 4 PM to see me and left at 4:04. He came back at 4:15 again to check, and somebody called him same time as another patient was waiting for him. Finally at 4:34, He came back and attend me, after some time he ask for X-ray and he got called by another room. I had to simply wait for all the time. and after about 10-15 mins he said that I need to go for specialist appointment and go front desk to schedule next appointment. I ask that, my tooth is hurting so much. He told me that he will give some prescription and I can pick that up in an hour. Now it is more than 25 hours, despite of 4 called to iSmile, Doctor dont have time to write my prescription.They are over busy. I dont recommend more patient to this provider. This is awful.

This place is going downhill really fast. It seems that now their only goal is to charge up the patients for as little work as possible.I have been a customer for a few years and it used to be very good, especially the older staff were great at their jobs. But the newer, younger dentists and assistants do not seem interested in taking care of the patients at all. My last routine cleaning lasted only 10 mins, literally skipping over some teeth, and I was rushed out of there in a hurry. Another issue is that every time I go in, its a different dentist and a different hygienist. You have no clue who these people are and if they are any good at their job even.A couple years ago, they replaced one of my caps, and just after two years it has cracked and the gum is swollen because of it. Very shoddy workmanship. Caps are supposed to last 15 years, not 2.Accounting is another issue. They charge me $50 deposit for some procedure almost three years ago, but billed me the full amount anyway. Without noticing that they didnt deduct the $50, I paid the full amount by mistake. Later, when I realized that I got charged extra, I sent them an email about it. They acknowledged, but instead of sending me a check for $50, they said they will adjust it in the future bills. That never happened. Now, it has been three years and Ive been going back and forth with them over this and I keep getting the run around such as they cant find it in their records, or they will check with someone else. I have the receipts and emails from them and sent them everything but no response. It is not about the $50, but about the princple. Very shady people.I am looking for a different dentist now.

Dentist kept saying I need a crown done when it wasn’t necessary. One appointment she said it was urgent so I went to get a second opinion at another clinic. I did not need one so I told her and still pressured me to talk to a different dentist in house for details. They quote $2,800 for the treatment and even the other dentist said it’s not urgent, it’s up to me if I want to do it as a preventative treatment. But a crown is not preventative! And they also are bad at bookkeeping. They mixed up my bill asked me to pay for my dad’s and they also ask him to pay for the same treatment. That’s double dipping. I had to call twice and email their billing team 3 times for them to try fix this and they kept saying they are working on it. Ended up losing $250 and gave up. So unethical. They charge more than insurance requires you to cover and don’t refund you if it’s under a certain amount. It’s a long story but just stay away from this place.

I can definitely say this is one of the most grimiest, sketchiest dentist offices I have ever been to - and I have been to many. Just walking in, the reception room seems more like a cattle herding room with lots of “call center” reps waiting to take calls (more customer service reps than customers), unkempt chairs that look random and unclean and fans blowing everywhere. You feel like a number on an assembly line or sweat shop. I was quickly checked in and escorted by an aggressive female Asian hygienist who asked if I need translation services. Umm no? I’m here to get my teeth cleaned and I can speak English. Very odd and out of context. She continued to be extremely tone deaf. On top of the fact that she wasn’t even wearing typical dental hygienic scrubs but tight casual clothing not suited for a dental office. I kept wondering if she was new in her field.The cleaning was subpar. The hygienist kept on asking me questions, kept on describing everything she was doing, and kept on interrupting me when I was answering her questions. Literally no social EQ. I stopped responding to her incessant questions only to be interrupted incessantly by her and even answered by her (?). She also made a lot of unnecessary comments. She was also extremely rough with me. I’ve never had a polishing done where it hurts even more than the rest of the other procedures - she was literally jabbing the cleaning tool into my gums, all this after saying she will be careful on my gums due to my sensitive gums from Invisalign. She sprayed my face repeatedly with water, apologized or even laughed it off. When removing plaque, she would forcefully jab the tools onto the napkin on my chest/ bust area, which was pretty unnerving.The dentist was OK but she didn’t bother to even look at or inspect my teeth. She just relied on the X rays saying they were recent enough (actually no they’re about seven months old - I’m overdue for a cleaning let alone an inspection).As soon as it was over, I was ushered back out of the long hallway of many rooms and treated as again another number in a cattle herding sweatshop. My husband has come here and warned me that it’s not the “best” dentist, feels kind of like an assembly line, and know they’re just not that great… and I laughed it off. Well, he was right. As someone who actually looks forward to dentist visits, I was very unnerved and displeased with the experience, lack of professionalism, and care.

This is NOT a paid review. Dr. Kim is wonderful and I have been a patient of hers since iSmile was on Miramonte Ave. Shes done 2 implants for me and I will likely go back for a third. However... DONT GO to iSmile for any regular maintenance work and cleaning. I just came home from a non-cleaning! I was left in a room for 30 min with no one coming by to do anything. I arrived on time as requested so I think the staff should respect my appointment time. First excuse was hygienist had an emergency appt (who needs an emergency cleaning?!), then it was she just fell behind. This was my 2nd time trying to get a simple cleaning, driving there, waiting, and having nothing happen.The front office is a mess with scheduling screw-ups, sending in wrong person to do work (on a previous visit for toothache and infection, they sent in a hygienist instead of a doctor), and totally confusing billing process. I really enjoyed the service at Ismile in Sunnyvale. The reception staff were efficient and displayed A-1 customer service. I came in with tooth pain and the staff was thorough in the process to access what and why my tooth was bothering me. I will come again for future cleanings.

I am sad I have to leave a bad review as I used services of Dr Kim before . Sadly when I came earlier today with a toothache I was assigned to Dr Park.- who did not introduce herself- had very inexperienced assistant who couldn’t do x-rays- she told me what she will be doing then didn’t do it- and she misrepresented services to bill the insurance company- and here is the worst part - me experiencing the worst toothache than I had earlier 20 hours laterI suggest you either insist on being treated by Dr Kim or avoid the place.It’s borderline criminal to be so incompetent.

Dr. Kim and the specialists, hygienists and staff have single handedly restored my confidence in dentistry.As a child, I had really negative and terrifying experiences with dentists that I have long avoided regular dentist visits. But due to having gum disease, I finally decided to get serious about my dental care. After much research and reading reviews and seeing photos, what drew me to this office was the state of the art facilities and equipment.My first visit was with Dr. Kim, but after having a general plan, I was referred to the periodontist and eventually the orthodontist. Now we are on track with more regular cleanings and I am doing invisilign to correct my bite.Pros: lots of rooms with updated equipment for quicker results,large monitors to display your file & treatment plan, plenty of staff and hygienists so availability is good, and they have someone to explain the treatment cost and insurance payments before you start, very professional staff, friendly atmosphereAreas of improvement: Because of so many doctors and specialists on, make sure the communications are clear and they take good notes. The appointments reminders can be muchSo, I would highly recommend this dental practice for all the reasons mentioned. They have helped me to overcome my fears and made me feel comfortable and informed with my dental care.

This dental clinic is really good. I have had an extreme good experience with them to be the first time coming here. The lobby is quite spacious waiting area appropriately marked to accommodate patients (following Covid-19 protocols) and the staff is really polite and professional. This is my story: I’m covered by my new dental insurance until December 31, 2020. Therefore if I don’t use it, I loose it. Due to my job duties I only had Christmas weekend off and found that this clinic is open 7 days a week and not only that: They were able to set up an appointment for me to be treated right at way within the next half hour which I gladly took. The nurse personnel was amiable, and personalized; the doctor was one of the best I’ve ever had as well as the treatment he provided. I’m really glad I’ve found this clinic and coming back tomorrow to complete a pending deep cleaning. I’m very satisfied with everything done for me here and will continue using their services throughout the next year 2021.

I was recommended by a friend to use iSmile dental. And I saw Dr Kim for an urgent wisdom teeth extraction and had such a pleasant experience. I was very nervous for the procedure but she tried very hard to calm me down and talk me through the process. She was very attentive and caring throughout the whole process. Now I will be going to iSmile for all dental needs.

I visited iSmile because I had a really bad tooth pain on a Friday night. I desperately looked for a dental office that had the earliest appointment possible. I found iSmile and it was very easy to make an appointment on their website. I was able to see Dr. Jung at 8am the next morning. After doing a few test, Dr. Jung told me that I would need to get a root canal and a crown on the tooth. I ended up getting a root canal at a different office because their endodontist was booked for the next month and I couldnt live another month with a tooth pain. But I still got a crown done at iSmile because I liked the Dr and the staff at the clinic. I liked that Dr. Jung gives a thorough explanation of whats going on and whats needed and answers all of the questions I have. I also liked that he doesnt try to push for unneeded or require non-urgent work to be done immediately. The front staff are all very nice and the dental hygienists have been very nice and professional. Overall, I had a great experience and I will be coming back for the future cleanings and check-ups (+other dental work needed.)

I have been going to the dentist for quite some time when I was younger. Now that I am older I was in need of dental care so I was referred to iSmile dental in Sunnyvale. The process is simple and seamless, just needed to set up an appointment, provide proof of dental insurance and walked right in. The clinic is paying its clients 50$ off their medical bill to write a review. Therefore the good reviews you see written here are all incentivised. This is the worst experience I have had, even though I do believe the doctor had good intentions. The doctor left a gap in my filling and in her attempt to fix it, she hit my lips and broke my front tooth. In addition the business owner of this dentistry both physically and verbally assaulted me. Shocking that the secretaries and manager did not interfere while I was being assaulted. The police asked for the videos but the owner presented cameras that were not working! Avoid this clinic for your health and physical safety!

The doctor is professional and listens to the patient’s needs which is great! The only thing you need to make sure is that you know what your appointments are for and when they tell you that a payment is due, always double check if the balance is correct and what that balance is for. The staff here sometimes don’t have the all of information to be able answer. For example, I was told to pay for xray prior to my visit today, but I just got my xray 6 months ago so I double checked and it turned out to be the charge for a filing. Other than that, ask all of the questions you have so they can help you!

The poor review is mainly for their orthodontist service.I chose iSmile because they were nearby and I thought it was convenient to have both ortho and dental services in one place. 2 years later and I’m extremely disappointed with their work, especially considering the high prices.A few bad experiences to date:- My original ortho quit and moved away 2 months in. The office gave me a week notice…- The replacement ortho has cancelled 3/5 appointments stating one reason or another. I’ve had to reschedule these cancelled appointments literally the day I had them scheduled for. When Dr. Mona does even make an appearance, she looks at me for a few minutes and that’s it. I don’t even get enough time with her to ask any follow up questions, nor does she provide any information or update on what’s going on about my braces. Why am I paying thousands of dollars for this again?- When I first got braces from here, no one told me an ortho assistant needed to be available to remove my wires for cleaning. The office scheduled me for one but didn’t have an ortho assistant available so I had to reschedule and got sent home. Highly inconvenient and could have been avoided had the front desk checked their records properly.- This can be seen as good or bad. The office has many doctors and so there’s greater chance of availability. However, the front desk doesn’t check whether the doctor you’re scheduled with next is in-network or not. They just check what’s available, so be weary. I’ve been scheduled with multiple doctors, some were out of network, which I didn’t know until I got the bill for it…Honestly the only positive is that majority of the staff here are friendly.

I had scheduled an appointment for cleaning my teeth. I was given a warm welcome by the receptionist when I entered and and then was guided to my dentist Katherine. She and her assistant were very patient and courteous. They clarified all my questions and cleaned my teeth really well.
