From the initial consultation to surgery to post-op appointments, Ive been thoroughly impressed by the IQ Laser Vision staff! I came in hesitant but hopeful, in search of freedom from my -8.5 vision with high astigmatism. Last year, my eyes started rejecting contacts--every time I wore them I was faced with redness, inflammation, and unbearable dryness. I was on rounds of steroid and antibiotic drops and was stuck in glasses for 8+ months. With such a high prescription, it was a pain to continue with my normal activities as glasses are heavy and my vision was warped.After my consultation with one of their doctors, they determined ICL would be best. I decided to meet with Dr. Lin on Zoom beforehand and he was very knowledgable and gave me confidence that the surgery would go well despite my unique circumstances. I had gone to another clinic as well, but in the end chose IQ Laser Vision because of Dr. Lins experience and because they use the latest technology with the ArcScan--getting the most precise measurements for the lens to fit the eyes. This ended up being crucial for me since my left eye was slightly smaller than my right and they used different size lenses to accommodate them.The surgery itself felt quicker than I had thought it would be. Dr. Lin was calm, kind, and reassuring. It was painless and recovery has been so easy. Im on day 4 post-surgery and am already seeing 20/20. Its incredible and so life changing as someone whos been in glasses since I was 5 years old. My husband was able to watch the surgery and was impressed by Dr. Lins steady hands. I am so glad I chose IQ Laser Vision and Dr. Lin!

I recently had my procedure on 3/25/24. Due to my high prescription, I was only qualified for EVO ICL. This procedure requires a lens to be inserted in your eye. The benefits of this procedure is that you do not get dry eyes and it has UV protection! Ive never heard of this procedure, but apparently its been around for many years. The doctor that did my procedure was Dr. Lin. From what Ive remembered, hes the best in the country. The office is clean and has a very calm vibe to it. All the workers were very friendly and helpful. My consultation went smoothly. The person doing my consultation answered all my questions and I left very confident and excited for my procedure.The day of the procedure, I was more excited than nervous. They gave me some medications that would help you with anxiety or nervousness. The procedure was quick. Dr. Lin was very friendly. I was told the procedure would take about 30 mins, 15 mins per eye, but it felt like it was only 5-10 mins per eye. The procedure was done and they provided me with clear post care instructions.I also had several friends go here for lasik. 10/10 would recommend! I am so happy to be able to wake up with clear vision and not worry about contact lens or my glasses anymore!

I got the Evo ICL procedure two days ago by Dr. Lin and I’m so happy that the world is so clear without contacts or lenses! I had dry eyes so wearing contacts has been a torture for me. If you have dry eyes and don’t want to wear contacts or lenses, I recommend Evo ICL!

I had SMILE done and everything went well! The staff and surgeon was friendly, and the surgery took around 25 minutes! In 2 days my blurriness and light sensitivity were almost completely gone and I’m seeing 20/20!!

There’s a reason this place consistently gets 5 stars reviews - their staff is incredibly friendly, patient, and professional, and people get the results they want. I had a good time interacting with everybody from the consultant to the office staff to the doctors. I got SMILE and the procedure was as quick and painless as I expected. It was a little scary of course but Dr. Pham was super calming and made the procedure feel easy. Within 24 hours of the procedure I felt that my vision recovered to 20/20 if not better.3 days later, I was embarrassingly late to my post-op visit (and arrived after their office hours) due to heavy traffic. Because I was flying out the same night rescheduling would’ve been quite difficult. Despite it being entirely my fault, the office still decided to wait for me, and Dr. Wu who saw me after hours was incredibly understanding and efficient. (Sorry again for making you stay late!)All in, I whole heartedly recommend this place. I think it’s run by good people who care about their patients.

I’m making this post more than a year after my wife had her SMILE procedure here with IQ Laser Vision. Don’t know what took me so long, because we have had such an amazing experience so far and the team here has both offered amazing care and the results have been amazing!I had suggested to my wife that she get laser eye surgery after having had LASIK myself over a decade ago. Let me tell you…. technology has gotten so much better! My wife was lucky.Also, my wife was very scared and nervous, and the staff and surgeon was very good at helping her feel comfortable at all stages.We opted for SMILE, which was more expensive than LASIK, because of the quick recovery time and it being minimally invasive. SMILE doesn’t require that a full flap be cut from your cornea, so you also typically experience less eye dryness and halo after the procedure, which are things that I definitely had to deal with many years ago with my own operation.Waiting has been a common thing for a lot of medical appointments in the pandemic, and this place is no different. So expect some delays for appointments and come prepared with a book 📕 or things to do on your phone 📱.One story that I’ll never forget…. on the day of our surgery, another patient actually had taken something to calm herself for her eye surgery, and ended up fainting. I saw first hand the whole staff jump into action and take the most amazing care for her. They let her take up an entire room and lay down, kept checking her blood pressure, and gave her some fluids and snacks to make sure she was fully recovered quickly. She did end up getting her surgery that day too! 👍🏽Overall, I’m glad that my wife and I chose this clinic to have our surgery.

Tl;dr: The EVO ICL procedure with Dr. Lin at IQ Laser Vision Santa Clara was nothing short of a life-changing miracle for me! The procedure was fast, easy, and painless. I was already seeing 20/20 at 1-day post-op. I would highly recommend anyone interested in vision correction to get a consultation with IQ Laser Vision.I had been wearing glasses for almost 25 years with a fairly high prescription in both eyes, and knew it was time to get vision correction. After an intake consultation with Jacinta, the patient coordinator, I was scheduled for a Zoom consultation with Dr. Lin. During my consultation, Dr. Lin was professional, friendly, and answered all my questions thoroughly. He explained that while I would be a good candidate for LASIK, ultimately the best vision correction procedure for me is the new EVO ICL procedure that was just approved by the FDA last year. Although there are multiple surgeons in the Bay Area who are qualified to perform the EVO ICL procedure, I knew I had to entrust my eyes to the surgeon who has the most experience with ICLs, which is without a doubt Dr. Lin. As a healthcare professional myself, I know just how important reputation is in the medical field. I ultimately chose Dr. Lin to perform my EVO ICL procedure because not only does he have a solid training and background, he also has been performing ICL surgery for many years and is widely recognized as an expert in his field.After a few follow-up emails and calls with Jacinta, I was scheduled for my procedure, along with two pre-op appointments a month prior. Unfortunately, because of a manufacturing delay, my procedure date had to be postponed for one month because my toric lens had to be custom-made. Despite the delay, I was very appreciative of how Ed, their director of business development, personally followed my case and gave me periodic updates to make sure everything was on track for my rescheduled procedure.On procedure day, after filling out some final paperwork, I was administered two sets of dilating and numbing eyedrops by one of the assistants to prepare me for procedure, and then was led back to an exam room. There, I met with Dr. Lin, where he explained the procedure again in brief and answered any remaining questions that I had. I was escorted to the surgery suite, and was made comfortable on the operating table, which was essentially the machine used for LASIK procedures. The entire procedure was fast and painless, to the credit of Dr. Lin’s expertise. Aside from just some pressure on the eye as the lenses were being inserted and manipulated, the most uncomfortable part of the procedure was staring directly into the really bright light above me without moving for about 5 minutes per eye. After the procedure was completed on both eyes, I was sent back to the waiting room to rest for about 2 hours so my eye pressure can be checked. After everything checked out, I was sent home to rest until the next day.The next morning when I woke up, wow what a difference! After resting for the entire day prior, I felt excited that I was already seeing really well. When I arrived, I was able to chat briefly with Dr. Lin again before receiving a more comprehensive eye exam with Dr. Wu and Dr. Tran, the two optometrists. I was, much to my surprise, already seeing 20/20, and healing nicely without any complications aside from a little swelling, which was to be expected.I am now almost one week post-op, and I am very happy with the results so far. As many others have said, the only thing that is a bit bothersome is seeing halos around bright lights at night, though this is a trade-off I’m willing to make for not needing glasses anymore. I’m confident that as my eye fully heals, my vision will only get better. It’s an understatement to say that getting the EVO ICL procedure with Dr. Lin has been a life-changing experience, and I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in a vision correction procedure to explore their options with the professionals at IQ Laser Vision.

Did SMILE for both eyes last Friday. On the day, the eyes are very blury, went straight home and slept for 14 hours! Thats my best sleep for many years. The second day, I feel like my eyesight had recovered for 80％ already. Its 4th day now, other than a few times a day, my eyes gets confused about focus, they feel very normal. Dr Phan is really good on it!

The best place to do the eye surgery. I had an ICL surgery done in IQ Laser Vision - Santa Clara. Before that, I went to several different clinics in order to hear different specialists’ opinions. IQ Laser Vision/Scott Hyver center turned out to be the most reliable and professional. I’m sincerely thankful to Dr. Robert Lin and IQ laser vision staff. God bless them. I had a wonderful experience at iq. Every staff member was thoughtful, thorough, and patient with me and I would recommend this place to anyone. The procedure itself was quick, painless, and the recovery was super fast. I basically had 20/20 vision after the first nap they tell you to take when you get home. I got dry eye and a little stinginess a few times during the first week but now i only get dry eye very rarely.

Started on this journey beginning of December. I’ve been thinking of getting Lasik for years now and finally decided to do it!Did my consultation with Jacinta and after 2 other consultations with other vision center, I felt most comfortable with IQ.On the day of, everything went smoothly. I did have to wait 10-15 mins but not an issue. Ricky went over the eye drop medication before and he was super nice. Then I met with Dr. Phan to check my prescription again before the surgery (which definitely reassured me).I’m seeing 20/20 after one day after surgery. Can’t wait for my 1 week check up. I’m a little uncomfortable in my left eye but hoping it gets better!Overall a great experience with IQ Laser!

It has now been 3 weeks since I got my SMILE procedure done and I cant be happier with the results! I had done some shopping around before choosing IQ Laser, but ultimately went with them because they offered the best price and because all of the staff members I interacted with were incredibly friendly and informational. Appointments were easy to schedule, waiting times were relatively short, and they do a great job at following up! The only thing I wish they would do is wipe down the eye examination machines in between patients. Im sure they clean/sanitize the machines at some point, but each of the three times I was there, I had to use a machine right after someone else and there was no sanitization done in between.Shout out to Jacinta for being the most helpful throughout this process!

I had my SMILE eye surgery done at IQ Laser Vision in February 2022. I had consultations at 4 different LASIK clinics, finally chose this one. Virtual consultation with Amber was very informative, and she answered all my general questions. In-person consultation I had with Dr Phan was great, he is a very experienced eye surgeon who really cares for his patients. I asked him lots of SMILE related questions and he took time explaining the procedure and even drew a diagram to address my concerns. On the surgery day, they gave me a pill to help me relax prior to the procedure. Dr Phan did last check on my eyes, then took me to the operation room. Both him and his assistant were super nice and friendly during the procedure, I didnt feel nervous or pain at all. The SMILE procedure took about 20 minutes and I couldnt believe it was over until Dr Phan told me to sit up. After the surgery, they gave me the goodie bag with eye drops, protection goggles and sunglasses with the post-surgery instructions. Dr Phan is patient, knowledgeable, caring and most importantly, has very steady hands during the procedure.It has been 2.5 months since I had my SMILE surgery and my vision is 20/15, cant be happier with this result! They went above and beyond the standard tests, measuring corneal wavefront, prescription power, pupil size, eye pressure, and tear condition. Im writing this review 4 weeks after I had my Lasik - Mono vision surgery.The Preop visits were very thorough and the staff were very friendly. They answered all my questions.The day of the surgery, I was little anxious. The procedure went well, although I feel Dr.Tran could have explained the recovery process in a better way and during the one-week post op I still dont know now what prescription, my eye sight is at.As I had monovision, I am still wearing my glasses. My left eye is still blurry and I have been given temporary glasses. I will be going for my one month post op next week and hoping I get more information on how much longer, this process of healing would take for me to be free of glasses. Its very hard for me to do night time driving after the surgery and with my temporary glasses as I have the halo vision around signal lights. I am hoping to update this review after I am free of glasses.

SMILE was one of the best decisions of my life.I have been interested in lasik ever since I started to wear glasses as a kid. My eyes have never been horrible but I am nearsighted -3.5 ish so I definitely can’t get by without corrective lenses. My mom got lasik with Dr. Hyver (also part of this practice!) and has had perfect vision since.Before med school I worked at a retina practice as a medical assistant; at that time, a new procedure, SMILE, was just starting to be offered. I did a lot of research on it and found it was a less invasive, faster healing version of lasik where a small hole is created instead of an entire flap. This leads to improved adverse effects. I was excited about the new procedure but wanted to wait a few more years for it to develop in the US (it has been used in Europe and China for decades) before doing it myself. Also because of all the reading I planned to do in med school I figured my prescription might change. The only surgeon at the time who offered this procedure in my area was Dr. Phan.Fast forward 4 years I am now a fourth year medical student and I was ready to get corrective surgery! First I contacted several of my ophthalmology mentors in med school in New York. They unanimously said that SMILE would be the best procedure if I was a candidate and that Dr. Pham was the best person in the business (crazy that his name was known to people across the country as well!!) I made a visit to their clinic for a free consultation and the staff took time to check my vision to make sure it was stable as well as run a series of tests to check whether my cornea was thick enough for the various procedures. Tommy was especially helpful in going over the different procedures and payment method. They were able to help me figure out a way to finance the procedure even as a student. It was so clear that everyone in the office is very knowledgeable.I scheduled my surgery for 2 months out.Then came operation day! I was nervous but the staff and Dr. Pham were so understanding and calming. Dr. Pham meticulously checked my vision before the procedure to make sure to program the machine correctly. He put in two numbing drops and let the laser go to work. I felt nothing! Then he manually removed the lenticule. My mom watched and filmed the whole procedure and told me he was able to get the entire lenticule out in one go (no pieces were missing!!) 15 minutes later I was on my way home. When I got home I went immediately to bed as instructed. When I woke up the next morning (~12 hours later,) I had zero pain, zero dryness, and perfect vision. I was in shock, I could not believe these were my eyes!!! My family and friends are also shocked — I can’t wait for them to have visual independence as well!Thank you so much to the entire IQ vision team for making the entire process so seamless. I know it sounds dramatic, but this was seriously life changing.

I NEVER leave reviews, but this company deserves one. I have worn contacts/glasses for 20+ years and I qualified for the SMILE procedure. Dr. Phan was absolutely incredible. He was extremely thorough with dialing in my prescription prior to the operation. During the procedure he made me feel so comfortable, he talked me through every step of what was happening and helped ease my nerves immensely. The procedure itself is only 10 min. I cant tell you how incredibly thankful I am for Dr. Phan and for the staff. Im only 5 days post opp and I have better than 20/20 vision. Obviously things are still stabilizing and improving - I still have a haze effect - but to experience results literally 24 hours later was mind-blowing. Thank you thank you IQ Laser Vision. My life has improved vastly and I can not wait for my vision to get even better!

I first came across IQ Laser Vision from a friend who had a successful LASIK procedure done by them.When I reached out to schedule a consultation I was really surprised by how responsive and how easy the process was.I qualified for the SMILE procedure and felt that they did a really great job explaining my options to me. The staff at IQ Laser were all very thoughtful and made me feel confident about my decision to move forward.My procedure was quick and painless! Dr. Phan was wonderful. Before coming in for SMILE, I was able to speak to Christine (who led my consultation) multiple of times to clear up questions & my nerves. I was consulting at multiple offices, and felt IQ laser had the best professionals and care, so I happily went with them!!Day of procedure: they were busy with tons of patients, but were still attentive to me. I elected to get my pre-op exam and procedure appointments done on the same day. That was great because I do not live close by. Dr. Tran performed by pre-op & Dr. Phan performed my procedure. Together they made me feel comfortable and well informed. Throughout the procedure, Dr. Phan talked to me about the steps he was taking, told me how it was going, and checked if I needed a break. It was less than 15 mins! He was very gentle and made the process smooth and quick for me. They sent me home with everything I needed (sunglasses, googles, eye drops, antibotics) to rest and care for my eyes for the following days.Post-op 3 days later: Dr. Tran told me that I now have 20/15 vision (better than 20/20 vision)!! I highly recommend IQ Laser Vision if you’re looking for THE place to get your eye laser surgery. From start to finish, the staff was always friendly and professional. I first had my consultation with the optometrist, Dr. Tran who is awesome! She made sure I was a good candidate for the surgery and essentially got me prepared for the day of the surgery. She completed an eye exam on me and took me on a tour of the surgery room. Then I met with Steve who helped me with the financial part of the surgery, he was also very helpful and answered all of my questions. When going through the process you’ll learn that there are different types of laser surgeries. The staff works as a team to help you identify which is the best option for you. I had done my own research and decided that SMILE was the best option for me, and this was confirmed during my consultation. Initially, I thought laser surgery was expensive and maybe even a bit scary but it’s a real investment where you will actually save more when compared to contacts. You’ll also learn that the surgery is safe, recovery is quite fast, and painless. The day of the surgery, you will meet the ophthalmologist/surgeon, Dr. Phan who yet again checks your vision to make sure everything is as precise as possible. Dr. Phan is wonderful! He made me feel very relaxed, gave me thorough instructions of what to expect, and even made me smile during my surgery when he told me I was such a good patient. The whole surgery only took about 10-15 minutes! In sum, I was completely impressed by this technology and team of doctors. After the surgery, you will be instructed to go immediately to bed. Enjoy it and let your eyes heal! Be sure to read all your documents with instructions and follow them so you don’t have any problems. You’ll likely have to place a few different eyes drops in your eyes pre- and post- surgery. You’ll also want to wear your goggles and sunglasses to protect your eyes after the surgery. Listen to the staffs instructions – they want to make sure you have the best outcome! After my surgery, my vision got progressively better and better. It has only been a few days since I got my surgery and it really feels miraculous to be able to see perfectly without my contacts or glasses! Dr. Phan did SMILE surgery on my eyes a bit more than a year ago. I had 20/20 vision with glasses, but post-surgery I can see a LOT of details I never could before, especially in the distance. (For example: there is a house on the hill directly across from my home. I had no idea it was there until after surgery.)Everyone in the office was great, they were very clear about the side effects of surgery, and did plenty of followup. All my side effects were gone within six months, and they were: 1. The first week after surgery, I had to set my computer monitor to high-contrast, as if I had cataracts, but that got better quickly. 2. For six months after surgery, I had dry eyes (then it was fine). 3. For six months after surgery, I could cut onions without crying, but alas that side effect is gone now too lol.

It was not painful at all, but it was emotionally draining and I was very nervous the entire time, so I was a little shaky when I walked out. I had the SMILE procedure here at the IQ Laser Vision Center in Cupertino late February 2020. I had always worn glasses all my life and decided it was time to consider Lasik. I had researched the Stanford Eye Center and Dr. Furlong for my Lasik procedure. Eventually my optometrist recommended I go in to the IQ Laser Vision Center and talk to them about the SMILE procedure. My optometrist had other patients who loved the outcome of their SMILE procedure and she wanted to inform me of this to give me more information to help with my decision. When I walked in to IQ Laser Vision in Cupertino the whole staff was very welcoming. I spoke with Steven Luu and Dr. Tran. They were both very helpful and broke the procedure down to a very digestible level. The procedure itself was very quick and painless and the recovery time was also very short. The reason that I chose having a SMILE procedure compared to a typical Lasik or PRK procedure was that it was a little less invasive to my eyes. This to me was great, because I was very concerned with having issues post surgery. In the first month post surgery I was seeing things a little glossy and not fully clear. Once I expressed this to Dr. Tran she immediately scheduled a follow up to make sure that things were recovering well.I appreciated this because the team here really wants to make sure that you leave their facilities happy. I am writing this 4 months after the surgery and I see perfectly clear. Summary: Laser eye surgery isnt all sunshine and roses, but I highly recommended IQLV if youre going to get correction done. Theyre very busy, so explanations can be brief, and patient workflow could be improved (as of ~June 2021). Dr. Phan is a very skilled surgeon, but the SMILE procedure does require you keep your eyeball still for 15-20 seconds, so the results may depend on your understanding of and preparation for what happens before, during, and after your procedure (do your research, get mentally prepared, helps to have someone rehearse with you). Even if the surgery goes well, itll change your overall vision compared to glasses or contacts (likely to reduce night time clarity, slightly reduce contrast, in addition to other risks), so take some time to assess the pros and cons for your situation. Overall, my wife and I dont regret the procedure, but its been less than a year, and its possible our (glasses-free) correction wont last over 5 years. Post-procedure, our eyes feel overall weaker and more prone to dryness.Eye drop brand makes a huge difference for us. The Oasis Tears eye drops (provided by IQLV) are the best weve tried. Other preservative free eye drops (like Refresh Tears) dont provide the visual clarity / moisture of the Oasis Tears.Me: -1.00 and -1.25 rightMy wife: -7.25 both (~cyc +1 axis 118)Post-procedure results: me (~20/20 rt eye), my wife (~20/20 both eyes)What improved over time: dry eyes, night glare and halosMy wife and I got the SMILE procedure done by Dr. Phan. My eyes had an allergic reaction to the procanamide numbing eye drops used during the surgery (very rare apparently). As a result, only my right eye underwent the SMILE procedure, and my left eye became blurry because of corneal erosion (from the procanamide). My main gripe about what happened was that I initially didnt get a good explanation about what happened or what to expect or do about it (probably because 1) it was a rare reaction 2) they were very busy).My vision post-procedure was worse than pre. After many follow up visits, I was given more details about the reaction and how long my eyes would take to recover. The post-op visits renewed my confidence for IQ laser vision. It took about 2-3 months before my left eye got back to ~95% of its former acuity. Now, at 8 months, I enjoy my vision on a daily basis; its around 20/20 overall (since my left eye is only -1.00). I would not hesitate to do it all over again, but my visual acuity and clarity nowadays is worse than when I was using contacts / glasses.My wife got her SMILE done by Dr. Phan in June 2021. Her results are amazing. After the first day, she had almost no dry eyes, no redness, no pain, no discomfort, etc. She was also already seeing 20/20. We had prepared and rehearsed for her surgery every day for a week, so she wasnt surprised by any part of the process. Dr. Phan did a great job on my wifes surgery, but after 2 months, she still has some dry eyes. Were aware itll take 3-6 months before the dryness aspect stabilizes.We dont know if this is a result of the surgery, but nowadays, both my wife and I tend to open our eyes more during our sleep, so we often wake up with a band of eye dryness across our eyeballs. Thats why we depend on moisturizing eye drops every night before we sleep. Just keep that in mind if you think that laser eye surgery will eliminate all your eye product dependencies :)When you choose a doctor to correct your vision, you want the best, not only in skill, but you want someone who is looking out for your best interests. As such, your or another patients procedure may take longer than expected, so dont be surprised if you have to wait your turn or your exams take longer. With your vision, its best to be patient, prepare, and make informed decisions. IQ does get very busy, so you may need to do your own research. You have to be your own advocate, dont take anyones word without understanding the implications.

Ill be reviewing my experience with IQ Laser Vision as a whole.Virtual Consultation:Because of protocol (and COVID), I had to get a virtual consultation with a staff member in order to get a clear understanding of the procedures involved. Amber walked me through this segment, and she did a wonderful job on outlining the works and costs of each procedure. In fact, vision insurance is not even needed in order to get great price at IQ Laser Vision. So no worries if you have no vision coverage.Pre-Operation Visit:Steven was the one who used the equipment to check the status and physical dimensions of my eyes. He made the experience very easy to follow. But most importantly, he was honest about the size of my corneal epithelium. The corneal epithelium plays a major role in determining which procedure is optimal. Steven didnt try to upsell me by lying about my corneal epithelium. In fact, he told me that my corneal epithelium was suitable for any procedure that they had at their facility.After Steven, Dr. Tran took care of me when it came to my vision examination. Dr. Tran is very patient and clear-cut when it came to finding out my vision. My prescription was 3-years old, yet Dr. Tran made the process seem like a breeze. She is also very personable too if you decide to have a conversation with her.Operation Visit:This is the life-changing yet nerve wracking day. However, since Dr. Phan took care of me, I didnt feel like I had anything to worry about. Right before my operation, Dr. Phan checked my vision one more time to ensure that all the data is correct. The time and effort that he spent to double-check my vision tells me that hes not messing around. He was also kind enough to allow my brother (aka my driver) to observe the operation. The operation itself can be scary, but Dr. Phan explained every single action that he was going to execute. Because of his walkthrough, I understand exactly whats going to happen during each step, which can help ease the tension. The whole operation lasted around 20 minutes, and I hardly felt any pain.Recovery (5 days):Because I opted for the SMILE procedure, the recovery of my eyes was absurdly fast. I was ready to see the very next day, and there was no pain in my eyes. Youd still want to keep your eye goggles on for the first 3 days while you sleep in case you rub your eyes by accident.Post-Operation Visit:Dr. Tran examined my eyes again, and as expected, my vision had never been better. My vision is currently at 20/15, and I couldnt be happier about it. Thanks to SMILE, my eyes have fully physically recovered, and I can do all of the physical activities that I do prior to the surgery. In terms of vision, it is only 90% recovered, and itll only get better within the next month or so.Conclusion:I am fully satisfied with my experience at IQ Laser Vision. I decided to get lasik because I thought it was time I do something for myself for once and Steve was so helpful in providing me with all the information necessary, which option would be a good option for me and answering all the questions I had.I ended up at IQ Lasik because of their SMILE option, and it was just my luck that SMILE for astigmatism was approved in November of 2018. From there it was waiting for my FSA to kick in for 2019 and then making my appointment.Day of the surgery, I was very relaxed and they give you Valium to help. The surgeon checks on your eyes again to make sure to get the correct measurements and proceeds to talk you through the process. I could literally see 70-80% the next day and will see better as my eye heals.For the first time in my life I was able to see the stars and the moon so clearly (i love the night sky). It dawned on me that glasses would never have let me see what SMILE would’ve. It has been about 2 months since Ive had my Lasik procedure done by Dr. Lin and his team and I couldnt have been happier! I was surprised that I recovered so quickly because I only had to sleep for around 10-12 hours post surgery and I woke up with perfect vision! I face the computer day in a day out since my profession is accounting so it is nice to not have to worry about getting dry eyes from contacts or having a heavy glasses frame rest on the bridge of my nose all day. Ive been seeing Dr. Phan since I was a wee little toddler, so hes seen my eyes through various phases of thick and thin (cornea joke!). I have worn glasses and contacts for all of my childhood, teenage and young adult life. I was SHOCKED by my results! I recommend this place to my friends and family because I want them to have the best experience and results possible. I was taken care of from start to finish and all my questions were answered. The process for SMILE was quick so I recommend practicing at home in order to avoid feeling like your eye drifted away from the laser. The whole process was quick and the recovery didn’t take long, since I could see the next day. The halos and glares that you experience at night will fade after a few weeks. I only experienced dryness the first couple days and felt normal after a week or so, i don’t experience any fatigue or strain. I had to look at the laser for 23 seconds and for my post op checkup my vision was close to 20/15!!I have 20/20 vision possibly a bit better, I am 27 years old and wore glasses for 13 years.

The full femtosecond surgery was performed here on 12/21. The doctor performed very well. During the follow-up visit on the second day after the operation, the visual acuity was 20/20 (5.0). So far, I don’t have any dry eyes. Now, half a year after surgery, my visual acuity is 15/20 (5.3).
