I am a pharmacist at a hospital in California that started using this system a few month ago. The RFID system can save you time doing monotonous tray checks and probably helps decrease checking fatigue errors, but I am giving a 2-star rating because the software forces you to waste tags when you shouldnt have to.If RFID tags get assigned to the wrong drug by a technician there is no way to correct it - period (I just verified this with the company). This means you have to waste all tags assigned incorrectly, and thus buy more tags to replace them.. convenient for the company selling you the tags but not so much for you.For example, my tech just encoded 155 vials of various medications, but accidentally assigned all 155 RFID tags to only one medication. The software only allows me to change the expiration date and/or the lot number. I can not reject the quarantined items, nor modify them. Pretty useless.. there goes ~$75 in RFID tags.If this company fixes their software to allow pharmacists to actually correct the mistakes made by the technicians, I would recommend it, but at this time it I would not.. once an error is made, you have to buy another RFID tag. Lame.

Our organization purchases utilizes this system. It is easy to use and provides a great layer of safety to our crash cart exchange system as well as our stat intubation trays.
