After conducting extensive research and visiting numerous martial arts classes in Glendale and Burbank areas, as well as conversing with instructors and students, we ultimately made thedecision to enroll my 10-year-old son in Inspire Martial Art and Fitness located in Burbank.From the very beginning, Inspire Martial Art and Fitness has provided a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The older students continue to demonstrate remarkable patience and attentivenesstowards newcomers and those with lower-level belts. Throughout our ongoing experience, the instructors consistently maintain a positive attitude, which is both encouraging and inspiring.The staff and instructors are professional and exceptionally friendly.The cleanliness of the facility is consistently maintained at a high standard. Additionally, the availability of extracurricular activities such as the March Break camp and Summer camps continues to provide valuable opportunities for growth and engagement. The environment fosters a healthy and positive atmosphere, which is conducive to effective learning.Moreover, the curriculum not only continues to boost my sons self-confidence but also instills important values such as perseverance, respect, and leadership. The Grand Masters dedication toinvesting time in students of all levels, from higher-level belts to small children and newcomers, remains unwavering.The philosophy at Inspire Martial Art and Fitness goes beyond teaching martial arts skills; it emphasizes ongoing mental development, aiming to cultivate the best version of each individualfor their life and society. I can’t believe the transformation I’ve seen in my daughter. Her confidence, leadership skills, and overall well being are so amazing as a result of this program. The team here are so supportive and patient and you can feel the love they have for the kids. I’m really grateful we started here and plan to stay for years to come.

I’ve been training at Inspire for the last 3 1/2 years, and it’s been the most life changing experience I’ve ever had. Master Winkle has taught me a lot since the day I stepped foot into this amazing school and have met some great people in the process. Most of all, it’s not just a school where we come to train. It’s also a community and we’re all like a family in some way. I’d highly recommend this school to anyone. No matter what age you are.

So much more than just karate! This place deserves ALL the positive reviews. I love the diversity in the students and staff alike with it ranging in various physical fitness levels to ability/interest and the absolutely NO judgement attitude. There are a few programs, mostly age group based and I’ve noticed staff being very observant in fluid movement to better meet needs, keep things challenging and motivate students. Have yet to meet a staff member I didn’t love. Everyone has a very positive attitude and approach to things and it rubs off on the students. In a few short months, I’ve noticed so much positive impact this place has had on both my kids with their confidence and attitude. It is vey play based with lots of treats so the kids don’t even realize all the work they put on the life skills they are learning. On top of discipline, the kids learn respect and a yes can do attitude. I love how they sneak in vocabulary words, work on public speaking and teamwork. My pediatrician laughed when I mentioned that the karate place has gotten my kids to eat their vegetables and fruit finally because they get recognition. It really is a very wholistic approach to getting the kids to a better future.

My son loves attending Inspire Martial Arts & Fitness! And we, parents, love them too. Not only does he get great exercise, but trainers put a lot of effort into his emotional and social development. I see that his behavior definitely shifted to more self-control, ready to help. If you still wonder - which place would be good for your kids to practice martial arts - do not look any further! Inspire is amazing!

This is an amazing place for the kids. They are not only coaching Martial arts, they are also teaching Discipline, Positive attitude, self-confidence, Self -control, and Self-defense, and these are important traits for the kids to learn and succeed in life.Our kids want to attend class without skipping. when kids do not want to skip class, that means they are getting proper attention, enjoyment, and fun.This is a perfect place, thanks to Grand chief and his team for helping our kids. They are the best.

Inspire Martial Arts & Fitness was a great discovery. I found them on FB and I thought why not lets give it a try. I enrolled my daughter and I have found they are really inspiring young kids and teenagers and everyone. The physical challenges are just a part of their training, they also reinforce values like being responsible and honest. They challenge kids to be better all the time. I love Instructor Donna and everyone is so kind and respectful. I already refer them to a dear friend looking for some physical activities for her daughter. I love Inspire MA&F and I highly recommend them!!

I could not love Inspire Martial Arts more! The staff and students are extremely supportive and have been since day one. I was terrified my first day, but Chief Instructor Kati, Instructor Donna, and all of the students made me feel welcome and at ease. I never feel intimidated asking a question, and I love that the more advanced students take it upon themselves to help and encourage newer students. Even today, after 7.5 months, a more advanced student stopped me to correct my form. This was, and always is, done with encouragement and never judgment or arrogance. The owners and instructors have created a wonderful, non-competitive community where everyone roots for and helps everyone else.I also love that this studio focuses on growth: not only in martial arts, but on personal growth. The instructors do this through a combination of encouragement and hard truths. And because of both the encouragement and the tone with which the hard truths are delivered, we never feel torn down or that we are less than the instructors. There are no gurus for us to revere, not even the Grandmaster, a 9th degree black belt. Even though I’m nowhere near his equal in martial arts, I am his equal as a human being. This has always been clear. Both the encouragement and the hard truths are simply people trying to help others live their best, happiest lives, both in and out of the Dojang. And 99% of the time, it’s sage advice.After 2 months of kickboxing, I knew my son, who is on the autism spectrum, had to take Taekwondo at THIS studio. Even though I had already purchased a package off of Groupon for another studio, I ate that cost and signed him up at Inspire. Chief Instructor Kati was extremely generous in giving me about 30 minutes of her time to discuss my son and how we could work together to support him. My son LOVES Inspire and is thriving. Kati works really hard with him both on the sport and on behaviors that have been harming him outside the Dojang. She is in constant communication with me, and I feel very comfortable addressing my concerns about his behaviors with her, so she can support him on the mat. Instructor Kati does more than go above and beyond, and I am so grateful to her and the rest of his class for being very welcoming and encouraging.I am very grateful to Inspire Martial Arts for the fun, intense exercise, the support for my son, and the constant challenge to be better, both on the mat and in life. Losing 22 pounds since May doesn’t hurt, but this Dojang has done so much more. Therefore, my daughter will also be starting as soon as she is old enough to be in her brother’s class.

After moving to Burbank in August 2018, my son needed a new martial arts home. He had trained for about 4.5 years in NJ and had earned a black belt there, so it was important to us to find a place where he could transfer in at that level and feel comfortable. I knew after watching one class and speaking with the wonderful instructors that we were in the right place. Its a very welcoming and respectful atmosphere for students of all ages and abilities. Theres a strong focus on developing ones mind as well as ones body for an all-around healthy approach to life. Listening to Master Winkles encouragement to the class has helped my own parenting and also drew me in so much that I personally joined in December. The family classes allow me to train with my 12 year old while still working with other like-minded adults, and fits well into my packed working-parent schedule. Every instructor is amazing, caring, and supportive and, in turn, they develop students who share those same qualities. Its a pleasure to be in such great company.

Three years ago I was looking for a nice physical activity to get me back in shape and allow me to evacuate the tension of a stressful job and an even more stressful commute. I had previous martial arts experience in my teenage years and thought I would enjoy getting on a mat again now that I am in my forties. Upon my first visit at Inspire, the friendly staff and incredibly welcoming environment won me over immediately. So much that I became a regular, and will soon be testing for black belt.The dedication of the staff, the love for their students, and their incredible ability to pivot during a worldwide pandemic has been nothing but first class : offering online classes via Zoom or outdoors classes when gyms were shutdown around the county.The measures taken (mandatory masks, safe distances, regular cleanups) allow students to work out safely and confidently. Inspire went above and beyond to ensure our peace of mind and allow us to keep working on our martial arts curriculum or just get a nice and fun kickboxing workout.I cannot recommend them enough. Go Inspire!

First off, this place is awesome and you should take classes here. Second off, all of the instructors and Grandmaster Winkle are AWESOME. They work you super hard, but they are never mean about it. They create a wonderfully accepting and fun environment to sweat in. I’ve been doing the kickboxing classes since last July and let me tell you what. It is the hardest workout I have ever done. It has pushed me to places I never thought I could go. I am stronger, faster, more confident, and fitter than I ever thought I could be. I have only seen the martial arts classes, not taken them, but they look just as amazing, especially if you have kids! I wish I could rate Inspire 10 stars instead of just 5. What are you waiting for? Come join us!

I dont normally review businesses, but Im happily reviewing Inspire Martial Arts because it has been such an important place for my son and me. My son was not interested in ball sports - baseball, basketball, soccer- but we wanted to keep him active, and a family from his school suggested martial arts. We checked out a few schools in the area, and although my son was interested, or we werent impressed with the schools themselves or the instructors. When we stepped into Inspire Martial Arts it was a different story. Not only was the staff helpful and respectful, but the students were immediately friendly and went out of their way to greet us. Inspire has created a culture of respect that was immediately felt. I noticed they had family classes that parents and kids could take together. I decided to join and take classes with my son. It was the best move Ive ever made. Three years later were on the verge of getting our black belts together, weve made countless friends, we are in better shape, and we are inspired daily by Master Keith Winkle, his wife Chief Instuctor Peregoy, and the rest of their amazing, professional staff. I cant recommend this place enough. This place lives up to the name Inspire!

I love this place! I take cardio kickboxing classes here and like their name, it definitely INSPIRES me to keep up with it. Its fast paced and fun, but the best part, is that all the instructors and owners are so friendly, prompt in their responses, and very welcoming! I recommend everyone go here, whether you want to kickbox and/or take some martial arts!

Ive had the privilege of studying with Master Winkle for over 15 years. He is one the best martial artist in the world. I have never seen a master put so much love and care into his students. I have sat in on hundreds of Black Belt tests at countless schools. His test that I witnessed last year was the best test I have ever seen. Every single student was perfect. I have never seen that before. When looking for a martial arts school look no further. I am a school owner and would proudly send my own kids to train under him.

My Daughter Savannah has been with Martial Arts World 3 years going on 4 this July. She started when she was 3 years old and she was in the little bulldogs class and now she is a blue belt. We could not been more happy that we found a place that care for the students and helps them when they need help. My daughter gets frustrates when she cant do her poomse or self defence. About 2 years ago I got a Groupon for some trial classes at Martial Arts World in Burbank. I had personally done trial classes at a few other schools around Burbank to continue my almost 20 years of martial arts training.Martial Arts World beat them all by a long shot! The price, schedule, curriculum, and staff are all the best! Every class is different, but the structure is concrete and amazing! You will see what I mean when you give it a shot.Not only do you get a great workout and learn some awesome techniques, but you develop yourself as a person physically, mentally, morally, and even fincacially. They got kids changing from bad grades to straight As, folks like you and me dropping pounds and keeping them off through healthy habits and lifestyles, and even working folks making more money!What do you have to lose?
