I am grateful to Dr. Sherif and Steve for taking care of my cat Igor. He had an abscess on his armpit, possibly from a fight with our other cat, and was running a fever. We arrived at the clinic late at night, but the staff promptly attended to us and prescribed the necessary medications. The front desk personnel were friendly and courteous, and the technician also came out to us a few times. The prices were reasonable, and the clinic was well-maintained and clean.

Good vet. We took our cat with an infection under his left arm and they immediately took him into the emergency room, drained and cleaned the wound and gave him antibiotics. I truly believe that Steve, Dr. Sherif and the crew listen to what your pet has to say and they genuinely care. They were also able to bring his high temperature down to normal. Excellent job.UPDATE: It took a while to recover, but our little Igor is back to living his best life. Full recovery. For a 14 year old cat with FELV, he is now a living miracle. THANK YOU DOCTORS AND STAFF!

I recently had to take my dog in due to a biting accident and we had to come to a conclusion to take out his eye. When we got to the clinic with my dog’s eye halfway out and bleeding, they took him in pretty quickly- though it felt like forever during the moment. They took us to a room to wait and it took maybe about 2-3 hours to get updates on my baby and get some answers to what our options are. Everything went smoothly and he’s okay now. However one thing that I could have used in mine and my family’s time of panic and helplessness was some empathy. Maybe I am being too picky because it was all happening so fast or it’s due to fatigue the staff gets from crying families, but taking time to explain the situation and its severity to a worried person would be the best course of action rather than word vomiting information. The morning nurse however (I forgot her name), but she was so kind and took her time to explain all my dog’s medication and how to take care of him at home. Her kindness made me feel at ease about who I left my dog with. I was afraid that I made the wrong decision coming to this location especially with all the poor reviews, but my urgency left me no choice. They do expect “a 100% deposit prior to services rendered,” and have a couple choices on how to pay other the c/c. My dog’s operation cost above the expected amount of enucleation, but that’s to be expected with an emergency clinic. I do not know if other emergency hospitals offer lower costs, but this place did give us an itemized bill as soon as the Dr. gave us our options and we made our decisions. The facilities are clean and tidy. There wasn’t a thought in my mind that this place was “shady” at all, the staff were very professional.

I had a positive experience here and I would return. I brought my cat in on a Saturday morning after I was quoted a 5 hour wait at another emergency vet location. He was stable, but referred by his usual vet for additional emergency testing so I expected a long wait. Surprisingly I was almost immediately given a room and was only here for about 2 hours total. The receptionist was super nice as well.The doctor I saw actually took a more conservative approach at treating my cat to rule things out first, which ended up working. He did not rush me and took the time to answer all of my questions and discuss the situation. They could have charged me for additional testing but did not and wanted to rule things out before running more expensive tests. I was also quoted the price for the additional testing if things didnt improve and I thought it was a reasonable amount and comparable to VCA or other emergency vets in the area.

I would like to thank Dr Patlogar and staff who took immediate and great care of our sweet husky Stella who suffers from seizures. She sadly was suffering from cluster seizures and they were able to break the cycle right away. I definitely will be taking her back since she unfortunately experiences clusters at least once a year. Also, very damn affordable! Thank you guys!

Wow, what an amazing hospital! I was not only extremely impressed with my personal experience, I overheard the doctor deliver grave news to the family next door; Dr. Houfek was kind, empathetic, great listener, very honest and explained the issues in a way that I could understand, so he is a great communicator with an excellent bedside manner. Super impressive and worth the drive! Thank you for taking care of the furkids, you are all very much appreciated 🫶🏻

My parents just recently took their toy poodle to their ER for a possible eye infection. After waiting and being seen by a vet, they were given an ointment to put in their dogs eye. After four days of applying the medication, there was no improvement. They decided to try a different location in Azusa and they immediately knew what to do there. They looked into her eyes and saw a big piece of grass/trash inside that was causing the irritation. It is very frustrating that IVVS didnt even bother to do a proper eye exam. Her eye could have been healing at this point but their negligence might now leave permanent damage on her eye. Below is the photo of the trash taken out of her eye by the other vet. Ultimately, that ER visit was over $200 for nothing.

The staff was very friendly and listened carefully to what details we were telling them about our 3 year old German Shepherd and they didnt shy away from her like some other vet hospitals/clinics tend to do. Shes very sweet and a big baby and Id really dislike for her to have a bad experience even during an emergency visit. The doctor took the time to go over the game plan, and after the results were in from the labwork and x-rays, the doctor explained the findings and listened and answered all of our questions.Not that Id like to go back to another emergency vet hospital in the future, but if I needed to, I would definitely go to Inland Valley Veterinary Specialists.Thank you for your caring and kindness,Gretchen and her mom and dad

Absolutely terrible. Tried to tell me they had to sedate my dog just to clean an open wound. Tried to charge me $700 just for that. Told them I declined and didnt want to pay that much for something unnecessary, on the way out I asked for simple gauze to wrap my dogs wound on my own until I could take hin to another clinic and got told if youre not going to pay for what we recommend we arent doing or giving you anything and then the Hispanic looking young lady and the heavy set black lady up front proceeded to laugh in our faces. Following that the doctor came out raising his voice at me telling me I need to go to a different clinic if Im not paying for what they want me to. This place cares more about the money they bring in rather than the people or animals that came for proper, professional help.
