I cannot say enough good things about Karolina and Inland Lactation!My baby was two months old and we had difficulty breastfeeding from the beginning. We were exclusively pumping and bottle feeding, and after seeing other lactation consultants it just seemed impossible that we could get to a place where we were comfortably breastfeeding. I booked to see Karolina as one last opinion and I’m so glad I did! After just a few weeks we are happily exclusively breastfeeding! Karolina was so different from the other lactation consultants I had seen - she did a full assessment of me and baby, and came up with a personalized plan for us with week by week goals, which was very different than the generic advice I was given by other specialists. She was always available by text when I had questions or concerns, which was just above and beyond. And most importantly, she never made me feel judged, only supported.Karolina is obviously very well researched and knowledgeable, but also such a positive, encouraging person. I cannot thank her enough for changing our lives and allowing us to have this incredible breastfeeding journey! I will be recommending her to everyone I know, as my only regret is not finding her sooner!

Karolina was a joy to meet with. On top of being kind and supportive, she is thorough and clearly knowledgeable about what she does. I was very impressed with how she explained everything to me and took the time to consider all aspects of the difficulties I’ve been having with breastfeeding my baby. I am so incredibly grateful for Karolina and just how much wisdom she has and how much she has helped me and my baby through all of the difficulties of tongue and lip ties and supply issues. I wish I would have known about Inland Lactation and had her help with my oldest years ago because it has been a night and day difference with my youngest. Beyond grateful. If you are needing or looking for help through your breastfeeding journey, then I HIGHLY reccomend Karolina. My son was born a premie with a tongue and lip tie and it has been a struggle nursing and any mom knows how hard breastfeeding already is. First off, she reassured me I was doing everything right and didnt make me feel worse about myself at all. Her space is so warm and inviting. She then helped me to get him to latch a lot better and how to deal with his reflux. Karolina is seriously the best and I leave every session with so much more knowledge and how to better handle each situation that my son and I encounter with breastfeeding. Every mama knows it takes a village and trust me when I say you need Karolina in your village.

Karolina and her team are simply the best. They are empathetic, have extensive science and research based knowledge, and will do what other IBCLCs won’t to support you in your breastfeeding journey. Not only did they help me get to a full milk supply, they answered all of my million questions and did it all with incredible kindness. I can’t say enough good things about them. I had a wonderful experience with Karolina. I came to her because my five month old was refusing a bottle and I had concerns about pumping. She sized me for the proper pump flange and gave me an insert for my pump! She also gave me nipples to use on bottles I already had for my little one. Karolina gave us her undivided attention and spent so much time answering my questions and reviewing things with me. I felt seen and heard. She is totally non-judgmental and supportive. I definitely should have done this with my first child! Highly recommend Karolina. She is an invaluable resource!

Nicole!! She is the encouragement that I needed! I originally made the appt due to a clogged duct and their office immediately texted with a clogged duct protocol. 2ish hours after initiating the process, I felt a million times better. When meeting with Nicole, I felt like I was truly listened to. She offered advice and provided education in a nonjudgmental way, which is an art! You could tell that she clearly “knew her stuff” and offered research backed information that was so helpful. She even stayed 20-30 mins beyond our appt time with me. She felt like a good friend from the start to the end. I never once felt uncomfortable or nervous. She even printed off a very through and informative educational handout for me to take home and provided me with new flanges to try out at home after she properly fit me. I’d 100% recommend meeting with a Nicole and I trust that the other consultants are within her same extremely high standards!

I was told about Karolina at Inland Lactation from a friend. I had desperately been searching for help because breastfeeding started to seem impossible for me. The expectation I had was completely blown out of the water! Karolina made my husband and I feel so welcome. She fully assessed our baby and was able to identify a tongue tie that two other lactation specialists and a pediatrician missed. She actually listened to my concerns and gave me solutions to them. She showed me products that would work for my baby and myself. She was so encouraging and made me feel so confident. What I especially love is that not once did she tell me that a decision I made was not the best, which has happened to me since day one with my baby! I also appreciated that because my insurance is not one she directly works with, she gave me what I needed right away so that I could be reimbursed by my insurance. If you are like me and are struggling with your breastfeeding journey, please DO NOT WAIT and go see Karolina. We did an in office visit. I have worked with 4 lactation consultants so far and Karolina was the most thorough and helpful out of all of them. She thoroughly assessed for oral ties and confirmed my 10 week old son has a significant tongue tie (which was missed by the pediatric dentist when I brought him in for a tie revision consult at 5 weeks old). Karolina provided me with the information and resources necessary to move forward. She has a very sweet and encouraging demeanor, which coupled with her knowledge made her a pleasure to with with.

I have struggled breastfeeding since the day my baby was born. She has a tongue tie and lip tie. Feedings were painful and my baby was losing weight. My baby’s pediatrician recommended an IBCLC, Karolina. Everyone at Inland Lactation is knowledgeable, compassionate, flexible, and gives you options so you’re in control of your goals. She doesn’t just care about baby but about mom’s health too. I was sized for correct phalange, given a nipple shield that fit better, my baby got a nipple for bottle that encouraged a better latch at breast, she was weighed before and after feeds to see how much milk was transferred, gave referrals, and exercises. You also get a summary of what was discussed and what to do at the end of sessions which is really helpful for moms that easily forget things like myself. I can also text if I have concerns or questions before the next appointment and get a quick response. We’re still on our breastfeeding journey but we’ve made leaps and bounds, gained weight, have baby back in breast, and can see the light. I took my 12 week old for a consultation for oral function and a CST session. Karolina and Madison were incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. All new mothers should have someone like Madison or Karolina see them for a consult in the hospital or birthing center! I delivered my baby at a baby friendly hospital, and the lactation consultant there saw me for all of 3 minutes, and did nothing to help.For me, breastfeeding and pumping was NOT intuitive, natural, or easy at all. It took 1.5 weeks until my supply showed up, and when it did it was very low. Over the course of all my visits with Karolina, I went from being unable to keep baby at breast for >5 minutes to sessions lasting >20 minutes. I also went from pumping 11oz/day (total!) to now >24 oz/ day. I am forever grateful that Ive met such amazing lactation consultants who are so kind, caring, compassionate, and easy to work with.If youre struggling with low supply, painful latch, or any other difficulties, I highly recommend and encourage you to schedule a consult. My only regret is not contacting Karolina sooner!!

I can’t say enough good things about Karolina! As a first time mom, I had a lot to learn about breastfeeding. With all the pain and frustration I was facing I thought my only option was to stop breastfeeding. I am amazed at how knowledgeable, generous and empathetic Karolina is. She helped me work through each issue and made it to where I finally feel comfortable and confident in breastfeeding. During our home visit with Karolina, she noticed our little one had a tongue tie and helped us find a wonderful pediatrician to address this. In the meantime, she taught us different positions and exercises to make breastfeeding more efficient and comfortable. Beyond that, Karolina helped us introduce a bottle to our little one and taught me how to more effectively use my breast pump. Karolina does it all!! I would have given up on breastfeeding if it weren’t for her. I will absolutely be recommending her to all of my new mama friends and family!

I couldn’t have been more happy with Karolina. She was the best I could have hoped for. I came to Karolina with my 6 week old some who had not yet been able to latch. She was so gentle with him as well as with me. Within 15 minutes he was latched and she showed me so many techniques which gave us a successful 90 minute nursing session. In addition to coaching on nursing she also helped with pointing me in the right direction for increasing milk supply, finding a good mental health provider to address potential PPD, some Good exercises to help my baby with his tightness from a difficult birth and so much more. Most importantly Karolina sent me home with a plan that I can follow until our next visit. I drove about an hour to get to her and would do it over and over again. Make an appointment and I promise you will be so happy you did!

I am a first time mom and I’m so grateful for my experience with Karolina. My first visit with her was 2 days before I was induced. She patiently taught me how to use my breast pump, sized and gave me the correct size flanges, showed me how to collect colostrum and gave me all the tools needed to get started. After my child’s birth, we had a couple of additional sessions including a home visit. My baby was not latching on and she quickly discovered his lip and tongue ties which contributed to my child’s challenges in latching. She went above and beyond and advised in other areas of baby care. Karolina is a wealth of knowledge, so incredibly warm, understanding and non-judgmental. She truly, truly cares and wants you to succeed.

I’ve personally successfully breastfed my first child and my twins, but found myself 14 years later with my last child struggling with supply and felt completely helpless. I had the absolute greatest experience with Karolina. My little one had an impossible time latching, partly because she was tongue and lip tied. Even as dentists my husband and I weren’t sure about the best way to address it but Karolina was so knowledgeable and guided us through the whole process. My little one is nursing like a champ now. Karolina is heaven sent! As if being a first time mom with a baby in the NICU isn’t stress enough, I was already being pressured to produce a certain amount of breast milk for my little one. I made my appointment with Karolina ASAP and she lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders. She went above and beyond helping me. Inland Lactation completely transformed my breastfeeding experience. As a first time mom, breastfeeding was a lot more challenging than I expected. My baby was struggling to gain weight and to get rid of jaundice. With their help he has gained weight rapidly and I feel like my outlook on feeding has completely changed. She explained EVERYTHING to me and my husband and ensured that we understood what she was telling us. She came to my house on 3 separate occasions, once before baby and two times after baby, and each time she went above and beyond, answering all my questions and providing me with expert advice. I was in emergency mode driving home from the hospital, finally taking my baby home from the nicu. She was finally ok to be discharged but that meant a whole different set of problems once home, highest priority being: my milk wasn’t coming. From days of intense stress and lack of holding/feeding her, I wasn’t producing much. I called inland lactation as soon as I got home and they fit me in for next day. Karolina was amazing! She broke down everything breast feeding in an easy easy understandable way and increased my confidence in my production. My husband and I learned so much and so did baby girl. By the end of our session baby slept like she ran a marathon and my production has continued to grow. Highly recommend!

Having my baby and deciding to breastfeed during Covid left with very little hands on teaching or support...which resulted in me experiencing lots of pain. I was ready to give up right before a friend referred me to Karolina. My consultation with her was so helpful. She was just the sweetest and so understanding. She gave me so much information and resources. She helped identify the underlying issues for my pain and the ways to resolve it. My 3 month old was refusing to breastfeed and I was desperate on what to do next so I came across Karolina and with one video call she gave me the most valuable advice that I had even come across (I did extensive google searches trying to find out how to get my baby to breastfeed and nothing worked). I was having issues pumping and not having the correct equipment, she came with everything I needed and I started pumping milk right away. It was minor adjustments, but I would’ve never known what to do without her. I was ready to give up on pumping and because of Karolina my baby is close 4 months and I’m still pumping. Even after my consultation she was available on the phone anytime I had a question. Karolina is just amazing!

I am a first time mama and was not prepared facing the challenges of breastfeeding. Our baby girl had jaundice on day 4 of her life and the level was elevated pretty high and ended up got admitted to CHOC through their ER. My milk didn’t come in at all for the first 10 days and I didn’t even see the colostrum come in either. It was heartbreaking for me to watch how well my baby can latch but hungry because I had no milk to offer. I can’t even explain the pain and the guilty I felt during those time (writing this right now with tears 😭 still). When my milk finally showed up, I was only producing somewhere between 5 to 15 milliliter from both breasts at each pumping session. Obviously wasn’t enough for my baby, and we had to supplement with formula. However, couple different types of formula that our pediatrician recommended gave my baby seriously gas and reflux 😕. I was exhausted mentally and physically and struggled not to blame myself for lack of milk. When my husband and I first picked up the phone and called Karolina, at our initial phone conversation, she left us with such good impression. Once we met her in person for the first time, we both knew we made right choice! She is super nice and approachable and knowledgeable! I explained to Karolina my goal is to breastfeed my baby. With her amazing knowledge and full support, I am now able to pump 1.5-2.5 oz per pumping session after just 2 weeks, which is huge improvement! My husband and I are both very very grateful to have Karolina helps me through this breastfeeding journey. I would highly recommend Karolina to everyone. Thank you so much Karolina! 💕

Amazing, after first visit was able to go from pumping 3.5 oz in 30 minutes to 4 oz in 20 mins. If your a new mom and unsure about your flange size, or how to use your breast pump properly to help increase supply/empty out breast faster I highly suggest making an appointment. Also showed us techniques to try and get baby used to breast feeding more and noticed I had pain in my right arm and gave us suggestions for medications I could take while breastfeeding. As well as recommendations for herbal supplements to help increase milk output. Really wish I had made an appointment sooner.

Jessica is amazing! She gave me so much helpful information and was able to get me fitted for the correct flange size when I was told the wrong size at the hospital! She gave me tips to help me relieve pain while waiting for the correct flange size! I am excited to receive the correct flange size and see the difference in output and less or no pain. Had a couple virtual sessions with Karolina Ochoa. She is truly amazing and so helpful. I had a previous session with another consultant that left me doubting my abilities and if I had enough milk for my baby. The lactation appt was the best thing I could have done for my babygirl and my stress/anxiety! The girls really helped guide me in the right direction on so many things! I would give 10 stars if I can!!Karolina is a life saver, I have been trying to feed my 5 month old from a bottle for 2 months with no success and she was able to feed him the very first day we met and after doing the program she recommended, I was able to feed my baby from a bottle the very next day.My baby turned from screaming just from seeing the bottle to giggling and even holding the bottle himself and this all thanks to her.Karolina didnt just meet my expectations but exceeded them, she didnt just came to us as a lactation consultant but also a friend and a mother who listens and emphatize with me. Karolina Ochoa was an absolute pleasure to have come do an in home consultation today. My husband and I have been struggling with our sons tongue tie - it’s been difficult for us to have to revert to bottle feeding as opposed to exclusively breastfeeding as was my goal. She immediately impressed us with her thorough knowledge of various things to look into, items that would make things easier - even brought and left us with a couple of products to make feeding and pumping easier! She demonstrated several techniques to prepare us for our sons frenectomy and I fully intend to follow up with her after his procedure.I Immediately felt relief for our sons well being as he constantly cries and is gassy to the point of screaming (related to his tongue tie). I originally scheduled my appt at 2am when I was in the middle of struggling to get my son latched on one side. But by the time I had my actual appt I thought I was in the clear since I had gotten him to latch successfully. I thought “he’s not my first child, I know how to breastfeed, got our latch figured out, I don’t really NEED to go to this appt.” But I went anyway, thinking I’ll just make it quick.Well, 2 hours and loads of information later, I am very thankful I not only attended the appointment but I also got a world of information. Karolina is so very sweet and encouraging. Even with me being awkward at first (sorry lol) she talked me through everything she did, discussed what she was looking for vs what my son was doing and how to correct certain things.She explained what flanged I needed to be using, and supplied those for me, we went over how and when I pump and what change can do to my supply and my body.I’ve breastfed 4 babies, and breastfed for 5 consecutive years. I thought I knew almost everything, but I learned more today, in 2 hours than I have been able to learn in the 5+ years I breastfed.Experienced mother, or new mommy, I HIGHLY recommend booking an appointment with Karolina. She is so helpful, filled with knowledge and truly has a kind heart. Once I address certain issues with my son I intend on booking a follow up.

Do it ! Make the appointment . Karolina was so nice and welcoming through the entire process (even before our appointment). Her work space is set up beautifully and comfortable. She discovered a tongue tie on my baby that no one else had noticed at this point (baby 3 months). This appointment had me leaving reassured and comfortable ! Oh and let’s talk FLANGE size, you need to measure and it’s best to have a LC measure for you. I had been using the wrong size and caused potential damage. Now I use the correct size so pumping has been easier ! I’m going to make a new appointment as baby gets older and her eating/latching habits change .My insurance at the time (Kaiser) didn’t cover the OON cost but it was worth it to pay out of pocket. She does accept some insurance so check out her website .All in all, I will be back and will recommend her to any mamas needing support !

You’re wondering if it’s worth it to hire a lactation consultant, you’re also wondering if Karolina is the right one, worth the cost. Speaking as someone who has had 3 Lactation consultants I will tell you that not only is it vital to have an LC for any feeding issues you have but Karolina is THE ONE. I had researched a lot of LC’s and was in a somewhat emergency situation with my baby losing a ton of weight after my cycle came back early and wiped out my supply. My pediatrician was of zero help and told me to give my 4 month old rice cereal, as if that was the nutritional supplement that would be best for an exclusively breast fed baby. I knew she was out of her mind and when I read Karolina’s reviews in comparison to some other lc’s who just seemed to diagnose every baby with a tongue tie and send them on their way, I knew she had real skills. I was right. She spent so much time with baby and I and made sure we knew exactly what we were doing every step of the way, with an easy to implement plan right away. She will find any answer for you and has a vast network of referrals and professionals to refer to. She is so kind, so smart, and so worth every penny and then some. She literally fixed problems I didn’t even know I was having like flange size, hand expressing, etc. It’s been a week since I’ve seen her and my baby has gained over a pound and a half!! This is a massive amount considering he was at 5th percentile in weight when she came. With her guidance we are gaining an average of 3-5 oz a day and I am still able to breastfeed with no bottles given. I am eternally grateful for her knowledge and support and even going out of her way to help me find a resource for this unrelated skin flush my baby had that again my very uninformed pediatrician dismissed me by telling me to put moisturizer on. Thank god for LC’s like Karolina, don’t think twice!
