I had listed my Townhome for sale with 2 prior agents and waited and waited with pathetic offers and no sale. I had Missy take over, she had my floor fixed and had my house staged. Within 2 days of hiring her I had 2 offers above asking and we had a closed sale within the month. She went above and beyond what her duties were to make sure the deal closed. Wed never sold a house before. We bought one a few years ago but the process was difficult and scary having never done it. This was life BEFORE Missy and Jason. Honestly, I had no idea how important finding the right realtor was until I was halfway into the purchase of our new home and I saw just how smart and knowledgeable Jason and Missy were. I figured it was about helping us sign documents. The end. I couldnt have been more off. The Improtas made sure we found the perfect home for our family. I mean exactly what we wanted. But thats when the work began. In this crowded market, they helped us rise above all the other buyers. Jason & Missy really have a great grasp on the market, conditions and what is needed to sell a home. We originally listed with another realtor for six months. This was right after interest rates started climbing in April (2022). The agent worked hard on open houses, but didnt get much traffic. After six months, we hired Jason & Missy. They showed us where they believed we (and the previous agent) were going about showing the home wrong. We signed up with them, made a few quick changes and had two offers several weeks later (November). We were totally thrilled. We are very fortunate to have had the Improta team to help sell our house. We were still emotionally attached to our home of almost 30 years but felt it was time to move to a smaller home. I cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism, drive, knowledge, sensitivity and support displayed by the Improta team. Missy and Jason complement each other extremely well. While they both are knowledgeable with all aspects of the sell process, Jason‘s forte is technology and Missy’s is staging and getting the house ready to sell. An example of Jason’s interest and responsiveness is that when I mentioned that the video he created of our home would go well with “Take Me Home, Country Road”, he took the time and put forth the effort to make it. After another realtor said we should spend $15K - $20K for “staging “ because most of our furniture was “dated”, Missy stepped in to give us her recommendation on what could stay and what needs to go. I give the Improta team five stars because they went above and beyond the “call of duty” to help us sell the house. To continue with the staging example, the Improta team also helped us advertise and sell the furniture that we could no longer keep. They also “ mini-staged” our house using their own props to make the house look more appealing. They were also very good about giving timely feedback from open houses and giving us their recommendations. All this would not mean much if they weren’t approachable or friendly. Fortunately, the Improta’s are friendly, approachable, sensitive, super helpful and very responsive. We highly recommend them to anyone selling or buying a home.

We finally crawled out from under the pile of moving boxes (just dont look in the garage!) to sing the praises of Missy and team. If ten stars were an option wed give ten.As first time joint buyers, our home search took place in the summer of 2022 when the market was still white hot (along with the outside air temp). We went to a couple dozen open houses on our own and Missy was somehow available (did she clone herself?) to meet us for appts at another 10ish properties all over the San Fernando Valley and into Ventura County on various days of the week, accommodating our crazy work schedules.We lost out on house #1 after making an offer and doing the back and forth with the seller but that ended up being a blessing in disguise when it came to house #2 (from where it is we write this note). Throughout the offer and negotiation process, Missy not only explained the minutiae and educated us on everything from A to Z, we literally referred to her as our therapist several times as she and team were able to keep us off the ledge as the documents started flowing and the nights leading up to moving day grew shorter and shorter (raise your hand if you hate packing!)In the end, if it werent for Missy, Katie, Jason and team, I dont think we wouldve found our house, let alone made it through the entire process with our sanity intact. While we dont plan on moving again anytime soon, if it does happen, we will 100% only go with the Improta Team.

We recently used Jason and Melissa to sell our Calabasas home. We also asked them to help us with the purchase of a new home in Laguna, but, to their credit, they felt we would be better served to have a local agent so they found us someone else to help on the buy side with our purchase.With respect to the sale of our Calabasas home, we needed to sell quickly. The Improta Team had their professionals working to develop videos and marketing materials post-haste. In less than two weeks, the materials were complete, the strategy was set and we were live on the market with our first, and only, open house. In short order they presented us with several above-ask offers and provided counsel as to our negotiation options. We are very happy that we followed their recommendation.Thereafter, we quickly entered escrow (at a price significantly above the target we expressed to them at our initial meeting I might add). A few days into escrow, tragedy arose when our buyers ostensibly decided to back out because our house was at the base of a big hill which was our backyard. As one could imagine, we were stressed out, but Melissa and Jason were calm and reassuring. They had a plan! Less than 48 hours later, bada bing bada boom, we were back in escrow at essentially the same price point, but with a longer leaseback period and we were elated. When they came to us with a big problem, they also came to us with a great solution.However, the initial escrow situation left us scared (full disclosure, I was an accountant at a couple Big 4 firms for too many years so nervous paranoia is my natural state) and the scars manifested themselves throughout escrow #2 in the form of many, many questions and concerns. It did not matter when the questions/concerns arose (morning, evening, night, weekends) they were always available, responding in a timely and effective manner with patience and understanding. They consistently demonstrated such a strong grasp over the subject matter at hand, which we always found reassuring because you could always trust what they were saying was true.They Shepherded us through the entire emotional and legal labyrinth that is the California escrow process providing counsel, fastidiously double / triple checking everything and recommending qualified and competent experts whatever the situation required. Literally, anything we needed, they were there to figure it out for us. I would 100% recommend them seven days a week and twice on Sunday!

From start to finish, he is available, reliable, and thorough.We were so impressed with how Jason and his team marketed our house with beautiful professional photos and videos that you dont often see on the MLS. Because of this, we had a huge turnout to our open house.Furthermore, Jason is a very smart, insightful negotiator, and definitely thinks outside the box. He explained every step of the process, and the paperwork thoroughly to us, and gave us confident and really sound advice. I cannot say enough about Missy and Jason. Early this year I needed to relocate my elderly mother from Calabasas to Northern California. It needed to be done swiftly and seamlessly to reduce any unnecessary stress on my mom. In addition, my four siblings relied solely on me to make all the decisions regarding this difficult transition. To make things even more challenging, I was managing an elderly woman, mother of 5, grandmother of 12, a home of 30 years, all long distance. Missy and Jason have represented us twice in sales and twice in our buys. We wouldnt have anyone other than the Improtas represent us; their level of expertise, professionalism, wealth of vendors, dedication and humor close deals as quickly and painlessly as possible.Our most recent move turned out to be quite challenging. We had to sell our condo quickly, and the Improtas had us under contract in two weeks, at a price that exceeded our expectations. Our new home required seven inspections, and we couldnt have been happier with the thoroughness and quality of their vendors. We used their recommended mortgage broker and were able to lock an amazing rate with a smooth documentation process. Weve even recommended these vendors to friends whose real estate agents had no contacts.The Improtas are extremely detail oriented and are completely on top of deadlines. This was our second time working with the Improta team, which should already say a great deal about our experience with them. This time, they represented us in our sale only (we bought out of the region).
