Discovering Impact Fitness Oakland has been nothing short of a transformational journey.From the get-go, the location was a major plus for me.Conveniently situated in the heart of Oakland, the gym is easily accessible, making my search for the perfect gym near me an effortless endeavor.I thought I was diligent to go the gym on my own volition, I’m not.Liam, has been a game-changer for me. His comprehensive and tailored approach to training is a testament to his expertise. If youve ever searched for a gym with personal trainers, youd be hard-pressed to find someone like Liam.Moreover, the gym is fully stocked with equipment. Squat racks, rowing machines, or dumbbells. Impeccably clean too!(Check my pics!)I 100% recommend Impact Fitness Oakland to anyone looking for the best gym in Oakland. About a year ago I started searching for personal trainers, as I was pretty comfortable with weight lifting on my own but wanted to start pushing myself with heavier weights and different exercises. I am so glad I found Liam and this gym!Ive been doing 1:1 training with Liam for about a year now, and you can tell how much he loves what he does and truly cares about the people he works with. Liam has so much knowledge about training, and offers different variations of exercises that you can also do at home. We switch up the workout routine every 4 weeks, which I appreciate as it allows me to try new exercises and also come back to the old ones to see how much Ive progressed. Liam ensures you have the right form while doing the exercises, always checks in on how youre feeling after a session, and most importantly ensures you are having fun and enjoying the workouts. He introduced me to boxing and weve incorporated it into our weekly routine, something I never knew Id be into!I havent tried the group classes yet but thats next on my list, as they look like they are a lot of fun and the other trainer, Ed, seems great as well. I definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great place to work out that also feels like a community.

I am 7months into personal training with Liam and I can tell you my body has transformed in ways I never thought possible. I have severe sciatic nerve pain and Liam is so cognizant of that, and has helped me become stronger. I can now do exercises without hurting my back. He also encourages healthier lifestyle that is sustainable rather than diets that are short term. Hes so educated and knowledgable. I am SO happy I decided to embark on my fitness journey with Liam!

Over the year I try to gain weight, but my effort was in vein. Thanks to coach Liam and his exercise program I transformed my body from thin to muscular in only two months. in addition to, I know coach Liam since 2017 and I’ve being training with him in his program since then, he has help me achieve every goal I have set for myself. thank you for your support and patient. you’re the best coach.I trust him very much, not only for his knowledge on fitness, also in nutrition because i can say that his technique of train really works,highly recommended for the new student, clients, friends and any person who want to actually change habits.

This is the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. Liam and Ed created and cultivate an inclusive, friendly, and inspirational environment to help achieve fitness goals. I have been a client for more than a year and they have helped me far exceed the expectations I had when I first showed up. While I was intimidated due to my poor shape and lack of knowledge when starting out, they really made me feel they’re on my team. They helped with workouts and nutrition, and also helped me hold myself accountable (no shaming). Their body knowledge is top notch and they safely helped me recover from injury and reach my goals. Plus, it’s never boring, as they’re always introducing new variations or alternatives to keep things interesting. While I hope there will always be a spot for me here, so don’t want them to get too full (lol), I’m writing this review in case someone out there is where I started and needs that push to call them and get started.

Great gym with great people! Liam and Eddie are great fitness coaches who encourage you and help you get better with your fitness goals! The group fitness trainings are fun and challenging. Liam and Eddie are very knowledgeable and always ensure proper form to prevent injuries during the workouts, which is so important. Each workout is tailored to everyone’s fitness level and comfort as well. There is a wide range of people and fitness levels at this gym, so it’s very welcoming to all people looking to get into fitness. Definitely recommend!

I had multiple gym sessions with Liam and he is by far the best personal trainer in Oakland Ive worked with.Facility - clean, safe, well put, modern, and has ton of new equipments. Liams music playlist during workouts is a big plus!Coaching - I can tell that Liam really cares about safety over everything. For every set that I did, he checks in and ask which muscle do I feel more. He makes sure Im targeting the correct muscles for each exercise and adjust form if needed.Workouts - Definitely personalized to my lifestyle. I work out on my own time here and then but Liam introduces new different workouts that Ive not been exposed to for variety (which makes working out a lot more fun!). Liam also gave great advice regarding nutrition to help my recovery period much faster.Overall, I highly recommend Liam to anyone, especially for people who wants to change their workout routine and gain more knowledge about working out in general. A+!

Prior to coming to Impact Fitness, I was stagnant with any progress to my body goals. Going to my local gym was overwhelming due to not knowing how to properly use the machines or knowing what muscle groups I should focus on. For this reason, I started looking for personal training in Oakland. I’m grateful I came across Impact Fitness. After submitting a request for more information Liam reached out in a timely manner and asked me about my goals and expectations. After a short interview, we both decided the group training best suited me.This 3 day a week experience has positively changed my physical body and my attitude towards strength training. I feel so much stronger, my body is toned, and I continue to challenge myself in all the programs Liam creates for us. This program allows you to build community and use your acquired knowledge anywhere you go. I can now use the exercises I learned at any gym or even at home with the proper equipment. Impact Fitness is worth investing in for your health, mind, body, and spirit.

Best gym Ive gone to! Small classes mean you get the attention you need, Coach Liam and Ed are great at correcting your form and making sure you dont get injuries. They also pay special attention to existing injuries and will provide alternatives for any lift as needed.The programs really help you gain strength and are very well structured. Im never bored as the programs change monthly and keep you engaged. Highly recommend coming here!*bonus points: the music never misses! :)
