In all the years Ive been coming here Ive never had a bad experience. I moved and took my camera to Samys Camera in Santa Ana and have had the worst experience imaginable. Garbage customer service. I cannot wait to pick my camera up tomorrow and bring it over to this store. Ill be taking the extra drive to come here but will be well worth the positive customer service. Thanks for always being a stand up store.

Great selection of lenses and the service was great too. Rented a lens on Friday and was able to use it until Monday for only $50. Such a good deal and will definitely recommend this place.

Initially went to this place based off reviews.Called the day before an international trip and spoke to Mike. Told him what I wanted and he quickly gave me the options he had in stock.Came in that same afternoon and was greeted by Mike(the owner) after walking in. I wanted a full frame camera, and am a beginner in the realm of advanced photography. He was extremely patient with me and all the questions I had. Eventually I decided on a Nikon D750.He was nice enough to bundle a few things in with my purchase since I got the camera and a couple lenses with it.I came out with a great deal and fully set up for my trip. He sells some used cameras, which is great for people getting into photography. It’s also warrantied for 90 days!One thing I don’t take for granted is the ever so diminishing small business owner who provide great service. I feel I got a great deal along with amazing service, which you probably won’t get with major retailers and definitely not online stores.I will continue to give Mike my business for photography and have already been recommending this store to a few friends.

Ive been renting equipment from them for about 4 to 5 years and wasnt disappointed. The staff is very knowledgeable and ready to share their experience with the abundance of toys you might be thinking to rent. They also have a Huge used department. It was a Blessing to know I can rent camera equipment for a job and not worry if its going to break down in the middle of a shoot. I’m a NYC based wedding photographer who was in the OC area to be a guest at my brother in law’s wedding. The day before, his photographer cancelled, so I volunteered to step up and cover it for them. Unfortunately, I didn’t travel with any of my gear except for a 35mm camera, and I had less than 24 hours to get everything I needed together to shoot. I found Fullerton Camera and showed up at 10am Friday without calling first, with a gear list in hand. The owner, Mike, took great care of me and I left within fifteen minutes with everything I needed at a stellar price.If you need to do a quick, efficient rental, this is the place to do it. I couldn’t be happier with the ease and the quality of the gear and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was.Thank you Mike for such a great experience!

I have been coming here for about 10 years. Although i dont buy camera equipment terribly often, when i do i always come here first. These guys know cameras, are exceedingly helpful, friendly, generous, and knowledgeable. Every camera and lens Ive owned has come from this shop and has worked wonderfully. Ive had repairs done that are quick and cost effective. I cannot say enough about how great they are.

Never knew this place existed! My co workers showed me this place. Super happy it’s close to me. Mike is the owner, very friendly and informational. So is Lexi ( I believe that’s her name). Prices are good. I had my lenses cleaned, and they had in stock for some parts I needed. He also fixed my bent lense and included that in the price. I really appreciate it, as doing a full repair is around 140.00. Thank you so much, I will be returning, and will definitely refer some friends. Thanks!

This place was recommended to me by a friend who films for the Ducks Hockey Team when I was starting my photography business 5 years ago. From the first moment I walked through that door, I knew this was a special place. Over the years, Mike, Chris and Josh guided my decisions on what gear to buy, what to rent, Ive bought camera gear there, Ive sold gear, I rent lenses, it has become an important place in my life. About 7 years ago I purchased my 1959 Canon 7 RangeFinder w/ a Canon 50mm F0.95 lens from here. Till this day this camera store has been my all time favorite. The gentleman who owns the place and sold me the camera was always honest and fair. I appreciate someone who knows what they are talking about and cares to exchange knowledge with someone else who cares to listen. I will be back again!

I had a very pleasant experience at Fullerton cameras. I dropped film off for development, picked up a fresh roll and also had a great chat with one of the staff members about their analog camera collection and shooting large format. The guy was very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Would definitely recommend visiting if youre interested in analog photography. Shops like this are why I love brick and mortar stores, you cant get an experience like that online.

These guys are lifesavers! Over the last couple years Ive been working to go from casual hobbyist photographer to professional, and Fullerton Cameras is a go-to resource Im SO glad to have. Most of my experience with them has been lens rentals. Id go in describing what I would be shooting, having no idea what I needed, and theyd make a recommendation that proved to be spot on. Most recently, I had a battery emergency in between shoots. Best Buy didnt have the kind I needed, so I did what I should have done in the first place and called Fullerton Cameras. They did have my battery and put it on a charger until I picked it up. Saved the day!As an anecdote about the quality of service here: One time while I was returning a rental, a hearing-impaired customer came in, and Mike used sign language with him. I was totally impressed and that was a huge part of what made me a loyal customer!

The staff is very understanding and kind, they held my lens for longer than they should have over the holidays, were completely understanding when I needed a few extra days to pay for it. I just bought my first DSLR camera here and I highly recommend Fullerton Cameras.I stopped in two days in a row, spoke to three different employees and asked a thousand questions. I usually shop online but this brick and mortar store is one of the rare special interest shops that offers something better on all fronts.Not only was it nice to physically hold different cameras, but they also offered more helpful answers than raw data and numerical comparisons the online. Most importantly, they were the cheapest price I found after weeks of research. I ended up leaving with a used t5i and an entire bag of extras including two lenses.

This is the place to go for your camera and camera accessories. I called and asked about a charger and new battery for my Nikon. When I arrived, it was already waiting for me at the front counter. I will be buying everything from this local gem — and you should too — so that it stays in business forever. Street parking can be tricky. But this is Fullerton. 2 hours free should be more than enough unless you’re buying all their inventory. 10/10 would go again.

The store has a pretty big collection of analog cameras relative to the other local shops around the area such as Samys Cameras. Since this is a physical store the film prices are going to be a bit higher than what you might find online, but if you are in a real hurry for a session they are a good quick buy. Their used camera selection varies from time to time, but for the most part there will always be something and I highly recommend you call in advance to see if they have anything in particular the staff usually get new used equipment every so often. As far as my experiences to the shop have been the staff tends to come to you first and help out with any questions you have which for me is fine, but for those of you who like to browse before asking for help they do have some equipment on the store floor rather than behind the counter so you can actually look and even fiddle with the tripods and such which is a big plus for me. I do not enjoy camera shops that only display equipment behind where you can only ever look at it with your eyes because its the same as shopping online. It is an okay analog/film camera store and it is a really great used camera store.

I came in with a difficultly changing out the base cover on an old Nikon D80 today. I had a meet up I’m going to tomorrow at Griffith Observatory 5:30 am. After work I headed over and he did it within minutes saving the day. I’m so grateful how quick it was taken and reinstalled so well. This place is fantastic.

Came here to sell some camera equipment about a week ago. A Sony a6300 with a 50mm lens and a Minolta film camera. Walked in and the guy helping me, not sure his name greeted me very unenthusiastically and looked at me as though I were bothering him when I brought my stuff up to the counter. He over dramatically inspected the camera equipment, and by over dramatically I don’t mean over inspected...it was the way he did it, acting as though he were on a serious photo shoot with the way he was holding the camera and everything. Anyway, I also tried to make things less awkward with a little small talk and said “this is a cool little shop, I never heard of you guys until today”, to which I was completely ignored.Then he tells me he can’t take my sony because there were a few little specs on the sensor which he couldn’t clean off. He offered me $50 for the Minolta, which I took. And $130 for my lens(which I was quoted $170 for from keh). Went back to my car but decided to go back in and ask the guy if there’s ANYTHING he can offer me for the a6300. To which he replied, that the spots on the sensor would mean spots in the photos so he can’t offer me anything.I may be young, but I have been a photographer for almost 15years and I know that the spots produced from that sensor would be barely noticeable in photos, especially because I never noticed them myself.Look I am not mad at the fact that he didn’t offer me anything because honestly I get it, although I do believe he could have bought it from me at a cheaper price and sold it as used in “fair” condition...but that’s besides the point. It was the unfriendly attitude of the guy and the way he acted as though my camera was complete junk and unusable because of the spots on the sensor.In the end though I ended up selling my camera equipment for around $550 elsewhere and I will never return to this place again to even buy other camera equipment.

I have purchased camera equipment, lenses and several cameras from Fullerton Cameras. Each time I was full of questions which were answered fully and they would ask me not only was I satisfied, but did I have more questions. Their recommendations were on point and my understanding and gratefulness was complete. I would recommend this excellent store and the owner and help to anyone that wanted accurate assistance, professional help and a great feeling each time they visited the store.

Very cool shop. I needed an 82mm lens cap (not the most common size) and they had it. Also had an r-strap in stock to replace my broken one. They definitely saved me from taking the rest of my vacation pictures with an iPhone. Very friendly and no nonsense staff.

Very friendly & helpful folks in here. Would recommend this store to anyone in need of camera equipment.I was in here looking for my first DSLR, and Mike hooked me up with a deal on the camera body I wanted plus a lens and memory card. To my embarrassment, when he swiped my card it was declined (bank error, a check hadnt cleared). He was very understanding about it, and set the my stuff aside so I could come in the next day and purchase it.I will definitely be looking here first for any future camera purchases. Store clerk had an annoyingly rude attitude when i even opened my camera bag to show him what i was trying to sell. I rent cameras, lenses, batteries, etc from Fullerton Cameras almost every weekend for my wedding film business, and they are awesome! Mike, Josh, and Chris are very knowledgable, down to earth, and helpful. They have a HUGE assortment of used film cameras, as well as problem-cameras that can be used for props or show (on the cheap). I would recommend them for any camera needs that you may have!

I was in from out of town, and the sling strap i was using for the first time (and last time) was so bad, i had to replace it on the spot during my vacation.I went to one camera store and they didnt have anything remotely what i wanted for a fair price. So i found Fullerton Camera. I knew when i walked in id find what i needed lol.I was out to replace my op-tech sling (ugh) with a black rapid, and while they had black rapids in stock they didnt have the exact one i wanted, They did however have a Peak Design I liked. They also had a used strap box that i scored a nice hand strap for my camera. My wife found some vintage cameras they had on sale cheap and got a cool little one for the shelf.All in all a great experience, fair price. Someone below complained about them being able to get a battery cheaper online.. no kidding, B&M stores have to charge a premium, and if you ask me, $30 for a generic in a pinch isnt bad compared to canon OEM batteries costs.If im ever back in that area, ill definitely stop by and see what they have to offer.

I rented a 4K Sony Video camera and found out it being saved into HD and quality turn out poor. The video I shoot was for home shopping network. Now I cant use any of the video. I told one of the employee there that the video is exported as HD and grainy. His answer was may be you are shooting in low light, I said my environment was bright and check the setting to see if there is some adjustments, but I didnt see much options. At the end of this. He said Thank you and you all set, basically did not offer any suggestion or may be show any concern on how to use the camera. Long story short, it didnt seem he know his equipment at all. This makes me not rent there again.

Fullerton Cameras is a golden find. I went in and spoke with Chris. I needed to completely under the difference between dpi and ppi and raw and other things as well. I was so relieved that he not only knew what he was talking about but he explained it so eloquently. NOW I get it!! And I spoke before to Samy Camera and got attitude and non explanation. I hear people saying to go to Samy for your camera needs. NOT TRUE!!! Go to Fullerton Cameras on Harbor and you won’t be disappointed by their experience and their way of explanations. Great place!!! I will be back.
