Great job from start to finish team. Diane was wonderful in helping to furnish our entire apartment home four weeks prior to our Veteran’s Day Ceremonies with the family. We picked out our favorite Ashley brand furniture options at her desk. We paid for the delivery and setup option. Three weeks later, the apartment was setup and furnished. We recently purchased a La-Z-Boy reclining sofa at Idlers in Paso Robles. We received excellent service from Bryan Bautista. He provided knowledgeable information, spending time with us as we considered various options. He even provided some thoughts on which sofa back would be most comfortable for our two cats! We purchased a new Frigidaire oven when our 30-year-old Magic Chef, which we also purchased from Idlers, finally defied further repair. We were fortunate to find the Frigidaire on the last day of the Presidents Day sale. The salesperson, Jordan, knew everything; he wisely informed us that our gas valve would likely need to be repositioned and provided us with an installation diagram that was helpful to the plumber. We appreciate that Idlers stored the new oven until we could arrange for the gas valve work. The delivery and installation was expertly done by two men, led by Joe, who took great care to place, connect, level and test the oven. It looks and works great.

We have nothing but positive things to say about the experience of buying our sofa and two swivel rockers from Idlers Home in Paso Robles. Bryan Bautista was detailed and supportive in our selection and was a great representative. Our delivery person, William, was also outstanding. We couldnt be there for the delivery, but he easily coordinated getting in to the house, disarming our alarm, removing the old furniture for Disposal and delivering our new furniture. I walked into the Paso Robles store and was quickly greeted by Andy V. I was looking for an over the range hood and Andy showed me a few different models to choose from. I purchased the item without any issues and he scheduled the installation. Although we had to wait a few weeks to have the hood installed, the installation team led by Evan G. did a great job. They were clean, timely, professional, and courteous. We are happy with our purchase and Installation.

They are very nice people and very helpful. For appliances though, the company they use for warranties is absolutely terrible. If your appliance has issues. You will have nothing but issues with their warranty company. Idlers will not help you either. Youre on your own. They made their money and now its not their problem anymore.Our familys brand new fridge went out within a year of purchase from Idlers. Idlers directed us to go through the warranty company. They tried to fix it several times before declaring it dead and needing to be replaced. The warranty company is not even giving us full value for what we paid originally. Where is Idlers in all of this? Not their problem.

Great delivery! Very Professional, wore masks (we are vaccinated and told them but they were required to wear). They informed us of all that they were doing. Very nice young men! Moved our old range to a place WE were going to move it to but opened up their truck and pulled out their dolly and moved it for us!! Overall in and out very quickly. Day one started with ANDY… he was very helpful and did not try to up sale us - very much appreciated - delivery on time and date as agreed - ISSUE - first wash very noisy through the wash cycle - Idler’s sent out a tech as soon as he heard the issue. He said I can’t fix that - yes it was that bad-Spoke with ANDY and he assured us that he was going to make it right. And BOY did he deliver! Not only did we get a new upgraded washer but the warranty still stands and the new upgraded washer was delivered the same day. No extra charges and hassles.Very very happy with IDLERS service and specifically with ANDY and his delivery and installation crew. Thank you very much.

Our washer and dryer died a quiet death recently and we returned to Idlers to buy new ones. We went to Idlers because experience has taught us that Idlers backs up what it sells and that its installers and salesmen are men and women to be trusted. We picked out an ElectroLux pair and scheduled their delivery and installation. On installation day we discovered that we had a minor problem with the water (the old faucets were frozen and couldnt turn off the water to allow installation. Iban, the installer, said that this wasnt a huge problem, if we could get our plumber to fix the problem hed take away our new appliances and come back next week. Gary, our salesman, called early the following week to say that the new delivery had been set up. We made the necessary arrangements and the following Friday Iban arrived with our new washer and dryer and an hour later we were ready to go. The flexibility and willingness to work with a problem was exactly why we chose Idlers in the first place. Outstanding service, friendly and helpful salesforce, and experienced and professional installers. If you live in the Paso area and dont use Idlers, wed say you are cheating yourselves.

I had my dishwasher installed at our vacation home today. The team arrived promptly and were very polite. There was some cabinet modification required which I thought they would not be willing to do, but they gladly did it. They offered to go over the operation of the dishwasher as well, which was also not expected.The reason I gave the store four stars instead of five is that they dont stock most items but rather order them as needed. I can understand this concept with less popular models, but they should anticipate and stock at least the most popular items. In fact the dishwasher that was installed yesterday was ordered over six months ago for a kitchen remodel in our Paso Robles house. When I realized it would take that long, I look and found several in stock at Home Depot, and had one installed by my contractor. I encountered the same issue with my range hood. I would much rather have given Idlers my business, but I was not willing to wait that long.

So, of course there was a HUGE delay (approx 5mos) that we can thank our ongoing supply issues for. That did not take away from the fact that Ty and his partner came out promptly, well prepared, and did a thorough and professional job. Both were friendly, courteous, and explanatory of all they were doing. They were a good team with the install, & made it look like an easy process. After install completion Ty was sure to tell us everything he did and why. They were also considerate of their surroundings which is appreciated. From start to finish everything went smoothly. We love our new fridge. Diane the Salesperson was friendly, helpful and efficient. The delivery men were super. They were delayed with another customer but kept in contact with us. When I called the showroom asking about our eta delay, I believe his name was James, called to check with them -then called me back promptly. So we found ourselves in need of a garage refrigerator and would think of turning to no one else in the County, nay the State, but to Idlers. Not only were we able to quickly get a unit picked out, but the turnaround for delivery was amazingly fast!I totally love that not only was the unit brought to the house, it was plugged in and ready to use by the time we got home. I checked on the unit yesterday, and it is still working just great! Even though it is sitting in our stiflingly hot garage, it is cooling as if it were sitting in an air-conditioned home all day. Everyone from management to delivery by, Jesse L. was amazingly attentive to our needs and were quick to respond and help out. I needed a dishwasher & had certain options I was looking at. I bought one at a local home improvement store the day prior, with only my internet reviews to go by & not much for knowledgeable customer service, only to bring it home not to work. I walked into Idler’s with hope of a good machine & good deal. A salesperson listened to my story, asked for my wants & found one at another home improvement store. He offered the same item at a lesser price, but 1-2 weeks to order. I then looked at other models & asked more questions. He was so knowledgeable on all the models & showed me a special buy on a top of the line model, but over 1/2 off. It was a easy no-pressure purchase, I brought it home & hubby had it installed (super easy instructions), & running within an hour! It’s my 2nd purchase at Idler’s in the 6 years we’ve lived in Paso. I’ll go there first for next appliance purchase!

She answered all our questions and offered a few tips we had not considered.Edit: We ordered an adjustable mattress. It came in 2 weeks early! We bought a dishwasher from Idlers 3 years ago. It worked great initially, but then we ran into some challenges with it not draining and cleaning our dishes properly. Idlers was able to get the manufacturer to replace the pump for us which helped for awhile. Then the malfunctioning started up again. Ruth at the service office was incredibly helpful and persistent to work with us and Sam, our service person, to diagnose and eventually fix the problem. We bought from Idlers because its a local company and we hoped to be able to count on them for customer service. They came through for us and provided excellent support. Next time we need appliances, we will definitely buy from Idlers.

It was totally my fault and even though it took me 9 months to call them, they were going to come get it and refund full price.... Gabe is amazing. The sales team is amazing...another incident is when I called them and my usual sales girl was out so the guy I bought from gave her the credit..btw I ended up keeping the stove and making the space bigger because I got such a deal to begin with, that it made more sense to make it fit...

Update. Since my original posting, Idlers management has been very engaged and contacted the mfg on my behalf. They have scheduled service to identify the issue.In the past, their service was awesome. I personally had 2 occasions where they helped me with appliances that I didnt even buy from them so when the time came to upgrade our Kitchen, we decided to spend the extra $ and go with them because service is important to us. After just over 1 year, we had issues with our new Kitchenaide. They said there was nothing they could do and referred me to a service Company. Sadly, with Don Idler out of the picture, the new leadership has decided that Service is no longer important. They cut their service staff to one. With that being the case, I suggest you buy direct from the mfg or a big box stores save your $

We have been using Idler’s for years. They have never disappointed us. If there is an issue they are Johnny on the spot and handle it. The box stores don’t even compare. They lack in customer service by a huge margin - which is worth way more then a small price difference. Renee Wright was our salesperson and she communicated effectively in terms of directing us towards the machine that met our needs. The installation guys, Daniel and Junior, were terrific. Faced with a difficult second story kitchen with an L shaped staircase which was challenging to get a big fridge up, they did an outstanding job neither nicking the wall nor dinging the fridge. Hard work, well done. Oh, and Idlers provides service if theres a problem, a big plus in my book!

After I complained about service I recieved extra special service the next time I was in there. I loudly complained about things, this is the only way she figured out who I was. Good prices. But everybody matches prices these days. Customer service goes a long way to getting me to tell people to go there. I then did not get back to idlers soon enough about a part that broke and immediately upon installation. I received multiple telephone calls and emails asking me about the part which was broken, I have no information because its stuck in the back of the washing machine. I assume they could look it up. I asked them to send it to me because they did not want me coming in there unannounced. Finally after the manager agreed to send it via post, I was asked not to come to the store at all, for any reason, because we do not fit.

I’m updating my review. Idlers (and my salesperson Jarod) have done things right on their end. Jarod arranged for a quick evaluation at my house to be sure the dishwasher would fit. The crew that measured, and the one that installed were phenomenal, and extra praise for Jarod for doing extra work to get my dishwasher delivered and installed quickly and even ahead of schedule. My only complaint is entirely my fault: I fell in a Cove dishwasher, and glitches in either the firmware update after installing, or the app, or both made it impossible to register the dishwasher or use the smart aspect of it. Their website has no technical information to trouble shoot the problem, and there’s no one at the company to do that, either. Their (Cove/Wolf/Sub Zero) customer service is rude when they answer the phone, and no one there returns calls or emails. I would use Idlers again, but will never buy Wolf/Subzero/Cove again.

The two main appliances I have purchased at Idlers are, first my Whirlpool fridge and then a Whirlpool oven/microwave.Work had to be done in order for the oven to fit into the space required.After oven was installed, I was annoyed that after oven was turned off, the fan continued to make a sound. My kitchen area and eating area are together. This fact should have been told by sales person. Also, it would have been a courtesy to inform me not to place anything on bottom of oven to catch spills as in earlier ovens one could do this. It is mentioned in the manual but in such small writing, it was missed. Another warning could have been to avoid too much broiling as when broiling a lamb chop the grease that spattered, also reached in between the double glass of the oven door and made long grease spills that could be seen from the outside.As I had purchased a three year warranty and this grease spill happened after my initial warranty was over, I expected it could be taken care of.I was told it was cosmetic. This is unacceptable and I consequentlygot in touch with Rob, manager of repairs at Idlers. He was extremely courteous and understanding and, as a courtesy, agreed to have a service person come and clean the inside of the oven door. This is something I cannot do myself as the oven door has first to be removed and then the two glass panes removed.I really appreciate Rob helping me out.

The outdoor living section of Idlers Home in Paso Robles is outstanding for several reasons. Its outdoor living manager, Donny Stiver, is a talented designer who is exceptionally familiar with a wide range of products for barbecue systems, spas, and even outdoor cabinets. Donny takes the time necessary to understand his clients tastes and expectations. Prices at Idlers are very reasonable (but not cheap for good quality) and very competitive. For more extensive outdoor projects, Donny provides assistance with design and personally checks on the installation. The two other Idlers Home locations, San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria, have less extensive outdoor living displays, but rely upon Donnys expertise to help its local customers.

I recently had Idlers come and assess my fairly new microwave for a 95 consult fee. The latch was broken and the service department said it would be around 75 dollars to repair. The very nice service men gave me an estimate of 500-600 dollars for the parts, which was of course way over what I paid for the microwave. They recommended that I buy a new microwave. I’m very disappointed that the service department didn’t just recommend instead of having it repaired that I buy a new microwave that it wasn’t cost effective to have it repaired. Instead I paid 95 dollars and also had to buy a new one.I have bought numerous appliances at Idlers over the last few years, but now I will be going to Lowes I bought my new microwave at Lowes and The service people said it’s always better to just buy a new one. During the Covid-19 pandemic we expected Idlers to be on top of things regarding PPE while delivering and installing our dryer. I was assured by salesman Gary in appliances that they would have gloves, masks, and at my request booties. Well, they arrived with masks, no gloves and no booties due to a breakdown in communication with the sales department. While the likelihood of contracting Covid-19 in this area is low there are cases of infection, so we stay informed and are cautious and would appreciate Idlers doing the same.
