The folks at I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue couldnt be nicer or more caring about their rescues.I found the most wonderful dog through them. She is sweet, loving, smart, and just right for our household.From start to finish, Trish and Silvia were great to deal with, and it was obvious that they take their responsibilities seriously. They cared so well for Tootsie (now Dannie) while she was in their charge, that she was quite ready to adapt to her forever home with us. And the follow-up from both of them and others was superb.I would highly recommend this rescue organization.

The process felt long enough to ensure the pup is going to a safe home. I did face time with grandpa at home to show our backyard safety and inside the home so I could take her home same day at the adoption event.Waffles is a timid girl but she seems to be warming up every day. I feel so lucky to be her new mom and I hope she can trust our family more and more!
I. C.A.R.E Dog Rescue is run by competent, compassionate, serious, and yet friendly, animal rescue advocates. I can’t say enough about Adoption Coordinator Hannah and the foster supermom Michelle. I can’t. I mean I could, but it would take way too long. Keep in mind if you’re new to rescue organization world - the majority of these people are volunteers and they have full time jobs. They do this on their own time. They’re busy saving lives. They also sell merchandise which supports the rescue’s mission. Thank you so much. Our baby is doing very well.

I adopted Wrigley aka Toby in May. Unfortunately he is very aggressive and bites. The groomer would not groom him and my vet would not vet him without a muzzle. I had written a bad review because of it however the rescue has reached out to me to express their concern and were going to get Toby aka Wrigley in the hands of a foster who was experienced in aggressive behavior. I returned Toby to the rescue. They took him to their vet who said that the dog was not aggressive just sensitive. I believe that is untrue given my experience with him over four months. Needless to say they put the dog back on Petfinder without mentioning that the dog was sensitive. This is inconsiderate to the dog and future adopters.
Our Adoption Coordinator was Hannah. She went above and beyond to meet our expectations. Hannah was kind, friendly, and she made sure we had a smooth adoption process. Although the paperwork and process had a number of steps, it’s well worth the time because they wanna make sure the puppies are welcomed into the best possible family for them! Meet and Greet was a great part of the process where you get to meet the puppy of choice prior to adoption, and we personally had a great experience with the overall ICARE rescue members and their foster family. My partner and I recently had a bad experience with a shelter that did not care for their animals, and let me tell you, ICARE really really cares about their dogs and we’re happy we chose to do our adoption through this team! Definitely kudos to the whole team for their mission and what they stand for!
I cannot say enough good things about I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue. The process was detailed but streamlined. There was excellent communication throughout the entire experience. I asked a lot of questions and they were always answered. They truly made sure that we found a dog that was the right choice for our family. We adopted our sweet baby girl a few weeks ago from iCARE and couldnt be happier. All of our babies our rescues and we have fostered in the past as well, this is one of the best. The process was effortless, no hiccups, standard background check and paperwork, house check, everything you want from a reputable rescue! Hannah and Michelle were amazing to work with, you can tell they do this because of their love for animals. It shows in the vetting process, the saving of all their rescues and how well each animal is taken care of while being fostered. I adopted Rascal who is a border collie/ spaniel mix from I.C.A.R.E Dog Rescue and have no regrets, he’s already brought so much joy into my life, highly recommend looking into this organization and donating, or if your looking for a new family member then try seeing some of the great dogs they have available. I fell in love with a dog named Pierce from I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue. I had hoped through the entire process I would be approved, and I was. I.C.A.R.E Dog Rescue is an amazing rescue that makes sures their dogs find the right home. Their adoption process is selective and makes sure that everyone finds the dog that is the best fit for them. As of today, my family and I adopted Zach: a lovable golden retriever mix puppy. The foster family took great care of him and made sure he was clean and healthy. Everyone apart of this organization has a lot of love for the animals they rescue!

This rescue does such a wonderful job. I really liked that I could read a brief history and personality description on all the dogs to see which pup best fit our life style. We adopted the sweetest little guy Named Scrappy, and he’s such a love bug. Communication was great through the whole process and it’s nice to see a rescue that truly cares about the pets in their care. I highly recommend ICARE. The foster mom of icare was wonderful! She was very welcoming when we went to meet our potential puppy and it was obvious that she took such good care of our baby before we adopted him. We were provided with all of the information we needed and the foster and the adoption coordinator of icare were very patient, kind and helpful. Some rescue people are good to the animals and not good to people, but icare was also really good to us, as people. I would adopt from them again for sure. I appreciate them so much!
I.C.A.R.E Dog Rescue is the rescue that helped us find our little Bailey! The adoption process was amazingly quick. I originally applied for 2 different Maltese puppies, but they were already in the process of getting adopted by the time our application was received. Hannah, from I.C.A.R.E Dog Rescue, found us another Maltese that needed a forever home. She interviewed me to make sure that our family was the right fit for the puppy. She gave us Michelle’s contact, the foster mom, and we met with Elaine within a couple of days. After a week, we were able to bring her home. With Hannah and Michelle’s assistance, they explained the medical expectations and the easiest way to transition Elaine to our home. They are amazing volunteers that really care about the dogs and finding the right homes for them. We will be forever grateful for I.C.A.R.E Dog Rescue for helping us find Bailey!

I.C.A.R.E. and Claudia were a pleasure to work with in finding my new BFF, Maggie. Enough information was provided to me in advance so I could make an informed decision whether or not to meet the dog in person. Happy tails, Maggie was the right dog for me.
I care dog rescue was a great experience for me through my adoption process. My coordinator Hannah was super helpful. Most importantly the dog matching process was flexible and spot on with my puppy’s personality and mine.

I tracked down a dog I was interested in and asked if I could meet her. First, I had to fill out an invasive application. Then she had to be spayed and medically evaluated. I waited. Then I was informed that she had a growth on the foot with medical options. I gave my opinion. I waited. The foster couldnt be home to care for her so they postponed. Again I waited. I again asked to meet her. No answer. Then I hear that they decided not to do surgery. I asked if I would be liable for any cancer treatment or if they would pay. I got an ambiguous answer...adopter is responsible for monitering it. Then they needed more info for the app. Then they wanted to do a video call. Thats when it all fell apart...I do not have a computer and I have no clue how to do a video call. Again I waited. Then I was informed that my app. was not chosen...no explaination, even though I wanted the dog from the beginning and waited months. Their adoption process is invasive and backwards. All I wanted to do from the beginning was meet the dog so I could determine if she was the right one. Their response was to say my account was not accurate. In other words, they called me a liar. Why would I make up such an elaborate account of what happened? I related the story as it unfolded to my friends, so they can vouch for it. I also have other proof. Evidently this group does not have the honesty to admit to what happened. I would also like an explanation as to why I was not selected, and a you werent a match wont do because I never even got to meet the dog!
Excellent communication, kind and knowledgeable team, and best of all; they helped place our sweet gal Pearl with us! We were walked through the process with lots of patience and checkpoints to make sure we always understood next steps on our journey towards bringing home puppy. Adopted a cute little puppy from ICARE. What I loved was being able to speak with the foster and ask questions and advice while trying to figure out which puppy would fit into our family. Hannah was great and responsive. Got a call within about an hour of my application. So thankful for all the fosters and rescues like ICARE!
This rescue goes above and beyond. They save so many dogs that may have otherwise been euthanized and/or mistreated. We have 2 dogs from ICARE and cannot imagine our lives without them. Thank you ICARE for being such great advocates for these precious dogs/puppies.

Great rescue group in Southern California. Huge impact on clearing the over crowded (kill) shelters. They have a wonderful working relationship with the shelter coordinators and get direct pleas for help. They answer the call - day or night! We’ve been fostering with them for over a year and I appreciate all the support they provide answering dog health/fostering questions around the clock, they fully cover medical and all the dog food plus supplies. The ICARE transport team is a tremendous help pitching in to get the dogs everywhere they need to go from drop offs, to vet visits and adoption day events. ICARE works with a handful of vets, which is a huge help to get emergency care or regular visits near home. They have a very thorough intake process and are careful to address known issues before making the dog available for adoption. I highly recommend fostering or adopting with ICARE!

This is a great rescue. I love how their dogs don’t have to sit in a shelter. They all go to homes for fostering. We adopted Maggie about 18 months ago. Her foster mom has stayed in touch and we frequently have play dates with her own two dogs. They have monthly pet adoptions. They really love their animals and eventually find forever homes for them. 🥰🐕🦺🐾

We found Montie on Petfinder and followed the link to ICare where we filled out an online application. The application was quick and easy to complete- then my partner and I sat back and waited and hoped for a response. ICare was the only organization to get back to us and in less than 24 hours regarding an adoption. Hannah was assigned as our care coordinator- she walked us through the process. We completed a phone interview with Hannah, sent her a home video and a yard video and then completed final paperwork. We waited a week ti pick Montie up from an adoption event which was fine- we spent the week puppy proofing the home and gathering supplies!! When we arrived at the event we checked in and the coordinator on-site grabbed Montie. We paid our adoption fee and took him home! It was an easy seamless process. Monties had his first two rounds of shots, we’ll be responsible for further shots, but at 5 months ICare will schedule his appointment to be neutered and cover the costs of the surgery and the cone! Amazing. Thank you ICare. We love Montie.
I am currently dealing with Denise and she is super nice and responsive. Adopting from this rescue in my experience is not easy which all the more I am keen on working with them. Their difficult process only shows that they are taking time to thoroughly check if the adopting family is the best fit and that is a good thing. I do hope we get approved but nonetheless, my opinion about this place remains positively the same. Whats most important is that their rescued dogs go to a loving home. More power to this org!

The process is thorough and vets families to ensure that adopting a dog through them is something your family truly wants and is ready for. They want to make certain that their dogs get a loving forever family. Special thanks to Uvaldo (Joe), Julia, and Hannah for making this possible and helping us grow our family. They walked us through the entire process and answered all questions we had. The process includes submitting an online application, getting contacted from one of their informative volunteers (who know how to help you choose which dog best suits your family and lifestyle), having a Zoom meeting to answer more questions, a backyard inspection (which involves sending in a video so the volunteer can see any problems that need to be addressed to ensure your dog cannot escape or is in contact with anything hazardous), and then scheduling a meet and greet with the foster family and dog. If it is a match, you then sign the contract, pay the adoption fees, and welcome your new fur baby to your famiIy. I highly recommend I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue for their exemplary service, experience we had, and for loving these dogs first. We were searching for a rescue puppy which isnt easy to find and found I.C.A.R.E Dog Rescue. I.C.A.R.E takes the placement of their pets seriously and we were properly vetted and informed of the process and expectations as a new pet owner. We met our pup Lexi at her foster mom, Hannahs home. It was clear the puppies were well cared for and loved. Lexi was basically potty trained when we got her home. Lexi is now 2 and doing well. I would recommend ICARES when looking for a pet.

Working with Michelle at ICARE to find a forever family for Luna was a very wonderful experience. We had been unsuccessful in finding a home for Luna. When we came in contact with Michelle at ICARE everything changed. She was supportive and positive about finding a placement for Luna. She helped create a story about Luna with pictures and provided a listing of the adoption events Luna would attend. At the very first event Luna found her forever home! None of this would have been possible without the support and help from Michelle and the staff at ICARE.

I started my foster journey the week of Thanksgiving with 2 seven week old puppies. We adopted our dog from ICARE 9 years ago, and loved the group so much that my son and I started volunteering. We’ve fostered dogs for them over the years, and this past year decided that our first ICARE dog needed a friend, so we adopted from them again. We have loved our experiences with ICARE. They are our family now!
I reached out to I.C.A.R.E while seriously searching for an older dachshund female to rehome after my 17yr old dachshund had passed..I spoke to Hannah and Michelle that was fostering. I respect the true honesty of the ladies regarding the female that I was inquiring about.she may be a bit too active for me at my.age and with my lifestyle. Michelle within a few days time contacted me after rescuing a precious chi weinie with me in mind!!! She is perfect. What a blessing!!! I am truly blessed. If you recently adopted a red mini dachshund named Rocco, I made the worst mistake of my life. We havent had a puppy in a long time and I was having 2nd thoughts if we could handle it. I called these people and I was thinking about a rehoming for him and they rushed to come get him within a day or 2. I was rushed and I showed her all the food, treats & toys and she said no just the dog. I was sobbing already and about 5 minutes went by and I called her because I wanted him back but my husband said let him go to people that are younger so he can have a happy life. I couldnt let it go and I called and texted but they didnt want to give him back. Within 2 weeks they said its too late and I cant do anything for you,, in a very cold hearted tone. They didnt even list him. I think they already.knew who he was going to. Its my fault I should have listed it myself and then I would have known how much I already loved him. I would do anything to have him back but if you have him just love him and take good care of him. He is funny and full of energy and nothing will ever make your day as happy as kisses from him. 💔🙏🐶I dont know how to post a picture here but hes the cutest dog in the world 💗
ICARE is a phenomenal rescue organization that saves hundreds of dogs each year. They have a wonderful fostering program that pays for everything. I highly recommend fostering if you can.
Ive only been involved with ICARE for a few months, first fostering and eventually adopting my foster. I can really see how much they care about the dogs they rescue. The application is long but thats because they want to be sure each dog is placed in the best home possible. I love that they do home checks too. Keep up the great work, ICARE!
Icare is the best dog rescue I have ever been around. They have a great process and find dogs a safe home forever. The fosters and volunteers are very dedicated and do everything to ensure the safety of the dogs. Both myself and my friends have all adopted dogs through Icare and I have had nothing but great interactions and experiences with this rescue and the people involved.
ICARE is such an incredible rescue. They always do whatever is best for the dogs they take in. Because they are foster based they are able to know a lot more about each dog and what would be the best fit— they try their best to place a dog with the right people. They are an honest group who lets potential adopters know as much information as they have on any dog — even if that means telling someone they’re not the right fit.They also take in a lot of dogs who need extra care medically. They’ve got a network of great vets and then fosters willing to help rehab them. It’s amazing to see so many dogs get a second chance and go on to live happy, healthy lives.If a dog needs extra help behaviorally they work closely with trainers and are always willing to put in the extra work.This group puts everything they have into saving dogs and finding them their furever families. They’re a caring, trustworthy, and just all around wonderful group of people.
I love ICARE dog rescue so much! I have adopted two dogs from them. One in 2014 and one in 2016. They saved each of my dogs from bad situations and got them into great foster homes. They are a very kind group of dog lovers! They work so hard to make sure their dogs get put into forever homes. In the future I will defiantly be adopting from ICARE again!

I adopted my little man Mr Dibbs from this rescue and was moved by the way they dedicated there time and money, but also there blood sweet and tears to save his life!! So much so that I began fostering for them. This rescue is all volunteers that spend countless hours raising money and holding adoption events to save the lives of so many dogs. The work they do still to this day 2 years later amazes me and I’m PROUD to be a part of it everyday. If your looking for a dog, trust me, this rescue goes above and beyond and you can bet your bottom dollar the dog they deliver will be happy and healthy!
There are a lot of rescues out there that have questionable practices, but I.C.A.R.E is not one of those. The animals really are the number one focus; even the ones that no one else will take a chance on. No one wanted to take a chance on a deaf, half blind, 9 year old, injured dog, with possible cancer...but I.C.A.R.E did. I offered to foster with possible adoption, but I was not able to meet her medical needs. I.C.A.R.E saved her life. I will continue to donate whatever I can to help reimburse them. They never asked for reimbursement; they just saved a life.
We couldnt be happier with our precious little fur baby we adopted through I.C.A.R.E dog rescue! The process was so quick and everyone was so kind, caring and helpful. We are so in love with our pup!
ICARE is a great rescue. I adopted my Sandi (previously Marla) a year ago this coming May. She is a great dog. My experience with ICARE was excellent. They communicated with me quickly and were very easy to work with for adopting a dog. I highly recommend them.
The best dog rescue there is!! I am a foster working with ICARE and I can say their whole team is dedicated to give the very very best care for the dogs. Dogs are vetted and given shots as soon as the rescue gets them. If the dog has specific additional needs, the rescue give them all the care and medical assistance they need. I have seen so many dogs recover, heal, love and play with ICARE!
They are just great. We adopted many dogs from many rescues over the years, and none of them were bad, still, I.C.A.R.E is my favorite. They are warm and engaged and the love for dogs just permeates everything. Thank you I.C.A.R.E !

I rescued my dog Huxley from ICARE three years ago when they saved him from a kill shelter after being mauled by another animal and having his eye removed. That was only the beginning of my involvement with this incredible organization. Within the first week, Huxley got startled and ran off in true rescue-dog form, and just an hour later about 20 volunteers I had never met were sprawling a mile radius at 11pm on a Tuesday, to find him, and they did. Their dedication to rescue is relentless and knows no end. Since then, I have fostered two dogs for them. One was a parapalegic puppy that couldn’t use her hind legs from birth. While many other organizations would have considered putting her down as many thought it was a case of failure to thrive, they supported her care financially, and me as the foster both mentally and emotionally, at all hours! We found her a perfect forever home and today she’s over a year old and the happiest dog you’ve ever seen! ICARE always puts the dogs first. The group of volunteers have the most amazing hearts and will to save lives by any means necessary. They venture all over Southern California to rescue some 6-10 dogs at a time out of bad conditions. They visit high-kill shelters to save lives just days before they would be put down. Dogs with behavioral problems (to no fault of their own) are rehabilitated for months or longer until they’re ready to be part of a family. The adoption team is highly selective in their applicstion acceptance ensuring that homes and adopters are both safe and long term. If adoptions don’t work out for whatever reason, they willingly bring the dogs back to fosters until they find the right home. I may be biased, but three years later I have not one negative thing to say about this group. If you’re looking to adopt, foster or volunteer, go to ICARE first!
We were so lucky to find iCARE! They guided our family in fostering and then adopting the most beautiful and amazing dog. They were responsive, patient and thorough. The volunteers are kind and relentless in their love and protection of these dogs who need us. We cannot thank iCARE enough for giving us the greatest gift.

Run fast away. This place has so many red flags and big heads at the helm of their operation. There are so many other reputable rescue organizations out there but this is not one of them. I had a heartbreaking experience with them that overall just put the well-being and health of one of their dogs at risk. They do not have their animals at the heart of their mission and it is saddening. If you would like a miserable adoption experience, go here.
Theyre wonderful people who have a good heart on saving dogs. Theyve helped me rescue a pittie when I first moved to California where I was renting and they were sending him to a shelter and I never knew pitties have a high risk getting put down there was no way I was going to let that happen, he was a good dog and gentle and I look and they came through, when other rescue werent willing to help due to his breed. They responded to help and he was adopted and because of them, I opened my eyes to help other animals which I never experienced the happiness, I see in dogs. they take the time to learn who they are and make sure they go to a good home they deserve. Im a volunteer with them time to time depending on my work schedule and its been 7 years now. Be patient with them they honestly rescue a lot dogs and they have a lot on their hands to take care of and they do their best to keep up with everyone and every pup.
I am so impressed by how responsive, organized, and caring everyone at I.C.A.R.E. is! One would think I.C.A.R.E has been around for centuries based on how on it and thought through everything they do is! So I go to this adoption event in Irvine ready to adopt a small dog. I go to ICARE dog rescue booth where I saw a cute small dog. They asked me fill out this long application to adopt this puppy. After I filled out this long application I was told that 50 others also filled out an application for the same dog and that they will review all and get back to me if I am the right fit. I was so shocked that they had now 51 applications filled out and were continuing to show the puppy to others and I saw others fill out applications on this same dog. I think something is really wrong with this company. They have all these people filling out these applications with the hope they are getting this dog when there are hundreds of dogs In the other booths that need good homes. This company should be ashamed of themselves. I am wondering if they are selling our application because why would they continue having over 51 separate applications on the same dog. Something is really weird about that. I told several others in the other booths and they also thought how strange was that.I am so thankful I never adopted through this company. I did in fact find the most precious little 6 month old puppy that I was able to take home that same day and from the nicest people ever.ICARE, shame on you.
Icare is an amazing organization. My wife and I adopted our first dog from them almost 5 years ago and have since adopted another. We also foster with them and it’s really a wonderful organization run completely by volunteers. If you are thinking of adding a furry friend to your family make sure to give Icare a look!
Excellent rescue. They have a true passion for saving dogs no matter breed, age or medical condition. They pull the ones that no other will consider. They work hard at placing the pups in the right furever homes. I highly recommend adopting from and volunteering for this rescue.

They saved their lives and their five brothers and sisters from being left abandoned in a box… Nursed rhem back to health and bottle-fed them until they were eight weeks old… They are the healthiest happiest puppies in the world and so are their brothers and sisters… This is a wonderful organization!
Very disappointed with how they handled the process. We are a very active couple with a big beautiful backyard/home that we own, as well as flexible work schedules. However, our application was denied. Then, they would not tell us why we were denied. We will continue our search with a different company and find a puppy that we can give an amazing life to!
We all love our dear little Lucah. He is well socialized and so sweet. Starting to wrestle with our big boxer girl, Rousey. We are so blessed and thankful to ICARE and the team.

Total waste of time. They merely snag litter-fulls of puppies from other shelters to keep you from being able to adopt without them being able to foist their own personal restrictions on you. They fill their organization up to the brim with dogs which would otherwise be effortlessly adopted. They deny your application, do not tell you why (for doggie privacy, of course--but mostly so they can discriminate with impunity), and they wont even bother working with you to identify a dog that they (in their infinite wisdom and applying their degree in court reporting) believe that would be a better fit for your situation. Im pretty much of the belief that all of these rescues, including this one, are a total waste and should seriously have their non-profit status evaluated. They are a bunch of busy-body people who think they have the unilateral right to determine who should be an owner and do this all shrouded behind a thin veneer of do-goodery and images of hearts and paws on their professionally-designed websites. Seriously repugnant individuals. After three months of trying to work towards the admirable goal of rescuing a dog Ive come to the realization that its time for me to just buy one. Never thought Id say it, but thats apparently the way they want it by making the process as arduous, non-transparent, and difficult to manage as possible.P. S. In reply to the assertions raised by the representative below. If she would endeavor to point out one factual assertion which I raise that the organization believes is in error, I will gladly provide supporting documentation in this public forum.
This is an amazing group that is focused on the well-being of the dogs they save. Addressing the pet overpopulation problem and saving dogs who wind up at shelters or homeless through no fault of their own is no easy task! But I.C.A.R.E. goes above and beyond to do their part. When you support this group, you are supporting thousands of dogs who have been and will be saved by them.
This place is horrible! They dont know how to COMMUNICATE with applicants. I owned 2 dogs, now one and I applied for one and they did not approve me. I dont understand how an application can suffice on whether or not the person is a right fit for a pup. This is just ridiculous, makes me think that is why many people cant adopt because of all the requisites required from a rescue center like this one and the way their communication works. Very unhappy. AN APPLICATION AND INFORMATION ON THEIR, DOES NOT SUFFICE TO MAKE A DECISION!! You need more than just an application!!!! Hence, trying speaking to the person on the phone or bringing them in to meet...
This rescue is amazing! I do alot of fundraising with them, and have had the pleasure of fostering several dogs through I.C.A.R.E. and they are so diligent and careful with the adoption process. Love them!

The volunteers at the rescue are amazing. They have all dog breeds and I had the best experience adopting my dog Rockie.
Wouldn’t even give me the opportunity to have a conversation regarding adoption. As an affluent, 30 year old with an extremely well-paying job in Newport Beach with the means to pay for exceptional training and care, trying to adopt here was disappointing. Speaking with Corrie (“VP”) was extremely painful and showcased the ineptitude of this organization. Don’t waste your time.
An amazing rescue who selflessly rescues dogs from all situations and puts medical care and so much love into their rehabilitation for a forever family. I have rescued my girl from them and they are just awesome. The only rescue I will work with!

They stole my rescue dog who was my therapy dog that I had for 6 years. I will get her back... or they will lose their rescue. I have attorneys who have invested them for 3 years. Theyre going down!! God have mercy on them!!!
They don’t adopt out of state for any circumstances. Which they do not tell you up front. It’s truly sad for families looking to adopt- the best fit isn’t always local. Truly sad for these animals that could have forever loving homes outside of the area.

I have noticed when dealing with volunteer groups sometimes they can be overwhelmed and understaffed and might not be as responsive. Like I mentioned, they were quick to reply and easy to work with but at the same time were concerned about the puppy and person.

2024-06-03 21:33:56Amazing experience. Im a first time dog mom and so badly wanted to adopt. ICARE was the most responsive rescue I applied to. When I met my sweet soon to be son, he was in a loving foster home. They gave me all his information and even some of the puppy food he was weaned on so I could continue feeding him the same type. Lovely rescue, fosters and happy healthy babies! Highly recommend!

2024-03-03 21:44:49I had the absolute PLEASURE of working with Adoption Coordinator, Hannah. She was kind, thorough, and extremely helpful. I was coming out of a traumatic experience with my last rescue that resulted in having to rehome her for my safety. Hannah was so understanding and compassionate. I love that Hannah’s first priority was and is finding the right home for each dog!! We applied for Sandoval a Boston terrier Chihuahua mix. When we had our interview with Hannah she advised us that he is very shy and his disposition may not be the best for our home and lifestyle. She told us about his sister Stassi. We chose Stassi. The entire process was fast, efficient, and focused on what was best for the dog (which meant the most to me). I would use I.C.A.R.E again in a heartbeat, and hopefully having the pleasure to work with Hannah again as she is an absolute delight!

2024-06-03 21:47:22From first inquiry to adoption in 5 hours and on a Friday no less! I contacted ICARE at around 3:00 pm on Friday letting them know I was interested in a dog they had. They wrote back immediately letting me know that the dog is available. I was more than excited and wanted to get the dog that night. I followed all their instructions, and after sending a video of my home area, and filling out the paperwork, I was told I was approved. However, it was now 7:30 pm. I was so not wanting you pick up my furry friend the next day. I asked if there was anyway I could get the dog that night? They put me in touch with the foster mom, and she agrees I could come down and see how it went. 9:20 pm I’m getting to the foster door and let’s just say by 11 pm I was bringing home my baby. Now, please don’t be like me. However, I wanted to point out the fact that Hannah at ICARE knows how excited new owners can be and really put in the extra time that late Friday to ensure I got my little girl. I’ve had a lot of dog experience, so that really helped. ICARE is amazing. The price seems kind of steep, but when you think about the fact that they include the spay/neutering, all the shots, and everything else, it’s not bad at all. Plus it’s going to a good cause. We are so excited to add Friday to our home.

My dog is healthy, happy, and well socialized. Once I visited my pups foster home, it was obvious all of their rescued dogs are very loved and well cared for. Julia was so helpful and ICARE provided an accurate description of his personality as well as pictures and videos to help us in our decision. We were also provided all his vet info. All this allowed our dog to have a seamless transition into our family. Overall, just a wonderful experience.

I appreciate that the care was taken to be sure that we were an appropriate family and experienced dog owners before he was placed with us. Our adoption fee was very reasonable and included vaccines and neutering.
