I got my first new car here and everything about the process and staff I interacted with was extremely pleasant! Way better than the last time I purchased a car. Sayuri was extremely helpful, not pushy at all and genuinely seemed like she wanted to get me into a car that I’d be happy in at the end of the day. Wow out of all the Hyundai dealers these guys made it the easiest. They were transparent, no pressure, and helpful throughout the process. They were willing to talk numbers before us coming in whereas every other dealer we used insisted we come in to get the best price possible. The price we discussed on the phone was the price we got in person. We went out of our way to come up to them from San Diego, but they certainly made it worth our while. Although we are down in San Diego I think I would make the drive up for service because of how they treated us during the sale.We ended up buying a 2024 Kona SEL and got an exceptional deal. 10 out of 10 would recommend them to my friends and family.

I recently had my car serviced at the Hyundai of Escondido! I have gone here several times and the employees are not only efficient but also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! I was able to get a complete service on my car and a car wash and under two hours! I was dealing with an issue from another dealership and then employees all went out of their way to help me. My experience was 5 star! The friendliness of the whole staff was exceptional especially Jerry Campos who was my salesman (also Jun & Saruta). Jerry made it easy to buy a car and even had a red bow put on the hood as well as a ceremony where the employees had me bang a gong and popped cans of confetti. Just bought a new Hyundai Santa Fe from Hyundai of Escondido. From the very start the service and sales team made me feel welcome, offering me beverages and snacks. They listened to what I wanted and what my situation was and helped me find the vehicle that was right for me. My sales rep, Salvador, was great! He was very knowledgeable about the car and Hyundai’s offerings. He was patient answering all my questions and showing me all the bells and whistles. The Assistant Manager, Juan, was also very friendly and helpful. He made the process very easy with no pressure to buy. Lastly, I interacted with Dave, the Sales Manager, he helped finished the deal and was the first person to congratulate me on the new purchase. This was the second car I bought from Hyundai of Escondido, and it won’t be the last due to their excellent sales and service teams.

I came into Hyundai Escondido for a recall service. I was greeted early and they went right to work on my car. I was shown the lovely waiting room and enjoyed a cup of tea. In about 2 hours my car was washed and finished. Everyone was courteous and my car was done in the time they promised it. This dealer location is spacious and clean and very comfortable. Today I went Hyundai Escondido and bought a brand new Hyundai Tucson. I was not going to buy a car but was just gonna take my Hyundai Santa Fe for a service anyway I end up trading my old car for a brand new Tucson because the sales representative Sal did a great job showing me all the cars I wanted to try and eventually I ended up by a brand new Tucson with all Electronic features and it’s hybrid. A gas saver car. Sal is a great sales person. He didn’t give me the pressure instead, He tried to help me and showing me the cars I want to try. The Sales Manager David is great. He is very helpful in financing and helped me get the great price. I felt comfortable throughout the process and the experience was great! I love Hyundai!

I recently leased a 2024 IONIQ 6 from Hyundai Escondido and worked with Gerry Campos from the sales team. Got a great deal on a Tucson hybrid. The shopping and buying process was straightforward. Agreed on a price over the phone, which they honored at the final signing. Spent at most 1/2 hr with Gabriel signing the paperwork. Very efficient. Our sales lady Alma was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. So was her sales manager, Juan. No pressure. Just shows you the product and features and gives you a test drive. Down-to-earth people who were a pleasure to do business with. One of my best car dealership buying experiences in my 45 years of car ownership.

The guy who spoke with us inside was very abrupt and seemed annoyed that we were there and had questions. Was short with us when told wed have to wait several hours for a headlight to be looked at. It was just surprising. Weve been there before and people were always friendly. On the upside we got a Lyft back home which was appreciated. Then half an hour later he called to say we could pick up the car, with the same abrupt tone. Not a people person, maybe shouldnt be working with customers. We werent even complaining and i felt like we were bothering him just by being there. I also have to deal with people in my job and i know it can be tiresome but the attitude was a bit much. The car was fixed properly though so thanks for that!

Came in to get air conditioner vents and motor cleaned out because of rodents. I was met with multiple unnecessary charges that were “dire action required”. I of course skipped those and just wanted to get my cabin filter and vents/motor cleaned. I get my car back with an unbalanced motor, and the smell was still there. Now i decided to do it myself and i cant believe i was charged 280 dollars for such a simple job. But the point is, it was not done correctly. And for a premium price. Dont go here for car services

Very happy with the quick turn around and being given a courtesy rental car while a new engine was placed in my car. However, my engine was returned to me with the oil level being at 1/2-3/4 below the minimum fill line. Thank goodness my wonderful husband checked it later that night! My car had been sitting on a flat surface for nearly 2 hours when he checked it, and I had only driven home from the dealership. Clearly they did NOT check the oil level before even test driving it. We contacted the service department’s manager, Shannon Harris, and she was condescending and unhelpful.

It couldve been 5 stars but 1 issue made me give 4.When I called in to set up an appointment, service dept lady said to expect 4 hours to complete the service. When I drove it, service rep told me the service would be completed within 2 - 2.5 hours.Actual service was completed in 1 hour and 10 minutes.I understand that its hard to predict service duration, but we already knew its recall sw update, and basic maintenance, so 4 hours was too much I believe.Other than that, everything was very good.Thank you!

The service advisor was very prompt and courteous when I arrived for my car service.I gave him the telephone number to contact me when my car service was completed and he told me he would notify me at the number that I gave him. He failed to contact me at the number provided but left a message at a different number so I didn’t receive the message that my car service was completed.As a result I called later in the day and picked my vehicle up much later than I anticipated.When I arrived at the cashiers desk, the cashier was very unfriendly and indifferent.Not a good ending impression at this Hyundai location.

Unfortunately, our Hyundai, developed a major oil leak in the engine. Our options were to get a new car, have the engine repaired, or replace our old engine with a new one. The least expensive alternative was replacing the engine. Our personal mechanic, recommended Brandon Martinez, one of the Service Managers at Hyundai of Escondido. The dealership was quite a distance from our home, over 80 miles, but we felt that since our mechanic made this recommendation, that peace of mind and trust, were more than worth the extra miles! Hyundai of Escondido, and Brandon, were absolutely outstanding. Brandon went above and beyond the call of duty, to keep us updated on the progress of the car! I took my car for a 7.5k service and oil change. They got the job done and I wasnt there for to long, but I did sit waiting for an hour longer than needed because they never contacted me when it was done, I had to go up and ask about it. And they didnt do the complimentary car wash either, I had to ask for that when they brought the car out even though I asked for that option when I made the appointment. This was my first time visiting Hyundai of Escondido. Had my eyes on a used Hybrid Elantra that I had seen on-line. It was just within our budget and I was hoping it had all the safety features we were looking for. Received a warm greeting from Daisy Ramirez who was very polite and knowledgeable regarding the vehicle. After a test drive we made our decision to move forward with purchase if we could stay within budget, which included a trade-in. Daisy made it quick and painless gathering our information and getting our trade-in appraised. Initially numbers were a bit out of range for our budget, but close. I went in for service, and was greeted within five minutes of arriving. Information was taken down quickly, and I was given an estimate of two hours, so I decided to wait. I have tried and tried to get ahold of everyone and have called several times a day in the span of 3 weeks. I tried calling Sharon, and Benny, and kept getting sent to every manager’s voicemail (and some were full). No one has gotten back go me and now my loan is messed up with my lien holder thanks to the incompetence of these people. Had a horrible experience that literally left me in tears here today. The service desk employee Kyle was incredibly rude, dismissive, talked down to me, treated me like he was doing me a favor by then taking my car….then when I told him he was talking really rudely and he threw my papers on another desk and said “I can’t do this. I won’t work with you anymore.” I wasn’t yelling, I was merely asking for them to fix the problem on my new car that is burning oil at no fault of my own and Kyle treated me so terribly. Brandon took over and was very helpful and empathetic and never once talked down to me like Kyle did. I couldn’t stop the tears running down my face because I’ve never been treated like that by someone in a professional setting. Not to mention we bought a very nice, brand new Hyundai in 2022 and this is the second time I’ve had to bring it in for repairs that again, are of no fault of mine, and Kyle treated me like I was crazy for assuming Hyundai would do the right thing and fix it and help me with transportation in the mean time. If you can, avoid Kyle at all costs.

Hi, I took My car in for a “Factory Recall”. Anti-Theft protection, which included a steering wheel lock(bar). Days after I got My car back I was sitting at a stoplight and saw 3 nicks in the trim of My steering wheel column. Apparently they never notified the DMV that they took ownership of the vehicle. Since then, I have received several DMV notices saying they will suspend the registration because the car hasnt been smog tested, repeated notices about a carpool lane violation in Los Angeles that happened months after the trade-in, and now a notice of a parking ticket in L.A. I called the dealer and was told I needed to talk to someone in finance. When I was transferred, no one picked up and the voice mail was full so I couldnt leave a message. After they said they looked at the car it was going to be 2500 dollars for a radar sensor that was apparently damaged over a year ago and worked perfectly until now. UPDATED Review:My husband & I dropped in on a Saturday Afternoon without an appointment, and Alma greeted us in the parking lot just after we arrived. She opened a couple of the GV 60s so we could look at different interiors. The car is amazing and Alma is knowledgeable, patient and helpful. We decided to test drive a beautiful White GV 60 Advanced with a light interior. Alma was able to check with her colleagues and/or look up information on her phone to confirm information to answer any questions that she didnt feel confident answering based on her own experience. She even went into the office to get cables so we could check the operation of both Android Auto and Apple Car Play! We drove the GV 60 both on the freeway and around some twisty back roads. It is a joy to drive. It has so many features. It can even adjust the seat automatically based on your height, inseam and weight! It definitely has all the features we need including Surround View -- and a lot more (we dont really need AWD). We will do a little more research before making a purchase, but I expect buying our new car from Genesis of Escondido will be a good experience.Also, During our conversations, Alisa figured out that we are avid bicyclists and introduced us to a coworker who sounds like a true bicycling fanatic. He had some suggestions for transporting bicycles. It sounds like the dealership has a sister business that can help with adding custom accessories.OLD REVIEW:Lots of inventory, but no one to answer questions.

I just moved to the area and needed to establish my new home base for service on my 2013 Sonata Ltd. I came in with a problem of my brake lights coming on even when no one was near the car. Then an acceleration problem developed. Both problems appear to be resolved with a new sensor.I was met by Kyle who handled the intake of my vehicle. He was very helpful and informed me of every action needed and/or not needed. There was a WIDE open door to upcharge, but it wasnt taken, and that helped to establish confidence that Ive found my new home base.This dealership is also one step ahead of my prior home base - I was provided transportation back home, then scheduled a ride back when my car was ready for pick up. This added courtesy (within 10 miles) is very much appreciated!

However, the staff realized that $2500 + was more than almost anyone could spend for a 13 year old car and still treated me well. I loved the fact that most of them were so young but still so polite. I dont know if its like this at every dealership, but it seemed like they did not care about customer assurance after servicing my car. Once completed, I was given my receipt to sign from a window, and shown to the door.Some of my requested services were not completed. The only services acted on were the (3) Recalls. I also listed 4 other concerns I wanted attended to; they were ignored. I went to inquire about the reasons why and was given little to no detail or just answers I already knew and listed in the comments when I scheduled the appointment online. After given the 2nd answer on an issue, I said, Thank you, and walked out.Thank you for taking care of the recall services, but it would definitely help if you give the customer a verbal summary of what we performed to help the costumer understand what actions can be taken next.

We live in Stockton and had been looking for a 2024 Hyundai Pallisade Calligraphy with a beige interior and Hyper White exterior for well over a month and found that they were in extremely short supply everywhere in California. When we found on-line exactly the vehicle that we wanted at Hyundai of Escondido, I was a bit skeptical about doing business with a dealership 450 miles away, but from our first contact with Brian Froom to the final contract signing for the vehicle, we could not have asked for a smoother, simpler auto purchase transaction than we experienced.After a couple of e-mails back and forth with Brian, then signing all of the sale agreements on-line (which was extremely simple and straight-forward), we made arrangements to fly to San Diego to pick up the car and then drive it back to Stockton. In the end, and we could not have been more pleased about the whole process than we are. Did it cost us a bit to fly to San Diego and drive back? Of course, but I would do it again in a split second with absolutely no reservations or regrets.Without a doubt, this was the best car buying experience of my 71 years. I highly recommend Brian Froom and Hyundai of Escondido.

The blue link in the car told us to schedule a Maintenance because the car had just reached 30000 miles so we scheduled a 30000 mile maintenance. However when we got to the dealership they said we were too early and that we would have to pay for this complimentary service and that the third party blue link that comes installed in the vehicle was a third party service and not any responsibility of Hyundai. Hyundai Esco is Very questionable. Multiple issues.Own a certified preowned 2015 Hyundai purchased from Hyundai Esco for reference.1. Original engine didn’t reach 100k miles. Was promised a new engine under warranty, but then at time of service they said it would be a “resurfaced” engine meaning same engine just new parts. The engine was fixed and put back in, BUT when I got my car back the alignment was so far off that I had to hold the wheel at 8 o’clock to go straight. Another couple hundred out of my wallet to get it fixed.2. Took my car in for service because I walked out shortly after engine was changed and saw what looked like oil. It was actually the right axle boot that was ripped and spitting grease. Took it to Hyundai and they said it was under warranty and fixed. Got my car back everything was fine. A couple months later I hear the same clicking in the front right when turning and take my car back for service and standard maintenance . They complete and quote me on a new front right axle. I ask if it’s under warranty they say no I say ok well the axle boot was done for free last service and it only has been a couple of months is it still under warranty ? Can you look up the service history and see when it was done? NO RECORD OF SERVICE TO BE FOUND. Only notes that I “mentioned it” Red flags go off in my head. They give me a quote on front axle replacement for almost 1k. Before I leave I ask how urgent it is and they say before new year’s insinuating that it’s pretty bad. That’s fine, but I don’t trust Hyundai Escondido so I take it to my personal mechanic in San Marcos for review. They test drive my car twice and lift my car. See what they say as a “minimal crack” and “minimal amount” of fluids that it’s not even worth doing on my behalf. They explain “I wouldn’t do it to my car, so I wouldn’t recommend doing it to yours.” Trust built with trust mechanic in San Marcos, trust lost with Hyundai Escondido. Only reason I get my car serviced there is because it is still under warranty until 125k miles. I want all paperwork with them accessible and easy to find as there were issues with getting my “new engine” due to not being able to find service history when I was getting it done at another place. This is MY experience, others could have had better. The staff is friendly, but I do not trust Hyundai Escondido at all and would proceed with caution.

We have the pearl white Hyundai that is famous for the paint peeling off. I talked with Hyundai of El Cajon because that’s closest to me, and the BBB trying to get them to fix it. I got the run around and got nowhere. We bought the car from Escondido, so I decided to give them a call. They tried everything and gave me all the resources. When the recall came about they were the first to call me and get my car in. They got it fixed and gave me a loaner for the time the car was being painted. They updated me every step of the way and we’re so wonderful! We just got the car back today and it was such a relief to finally not have a nasty looking car.
