I am days from graduating from this year-long program that has provided me with the extensive knowledge, skills and internship opportunities necessary to become a proficient and skilled Hypnotherapist. I have loved every minute of the 720 hours this program has offered - and the additional opportunities for continuing education that has allowed be to achieve additional certification in specialized areas of hypnotherapy. I cant say enough about the amazing staff - dedicated to the field of hypnotherapy and dedicated to supporting their students along the way. Although I have been working as a School Psychologist for over 25 years, I have gained more than I could have imagined from HMI, all their instructors, and my amazing mentor. I highly recommend this program if you are truly interested in being the best qualified hypnotherapist you can be.

Attending HMI has been a life changing experience for me and I am so thankful that I found this school. I love its legacy and how the instructors and faculty have been with HMI for a very long time, many of them for decades. That just goes to show their dedication and love for hypnotherapy and desire to help new students grow. I especially have appreciated the 6 month internship, which allowed me to use my skills with clients with support from the instructors when I have a question or need guidance. I now feel ready to embark on an incredible career as a hypnotherapist with confidence. At the same time, I am somewhat sad to be graduating, because I have enjoyed my time here so much. I simply love everything that HMI stands for and provides... so much so that I decided to join the school 9/24/2019 and have just recently graduated with Honors. Here is what I love the most; it feels like family. If you are thinking of learning the Arts of Hypnosis, go nowhere else. HMI is the real deal! Not only is this an accredited college, but the content you will learn is outstanding. You will learn everything you need to know about hypnosis and its hypnotic tools, but you will also learn how to use social media to market your hypnotherapy practice to be successful. When you get to your 6-month residency you will have the opportunity to work with real-life clients. All Instructors are extremely knowledgeable and deliver interesting and fun classes. The Staff at HMI is remarkable as well. Im very grateful that I found this school and can only recommend it to anyone else who is thinking about becoming a Certified Hypnotherapist!

I am incredibly grateful for the education I received at HMI. The college offers a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for success after graduation. Each course is thoughtfully designed to give students a strong foundation in hypnosis and equip them with a wide range of therapeutic tools and techniques that can be applied in practice. This program was beyond anything I could have imaged. As I get ready to complete my first year at HMI, I am so happy that I waited years to find and join this college. Having multiple degrees already, I found HMI in 2018 because it was an accredited college and didnt want to spend time and $ for a program that wasnt to the highest of standards. So many colleges out there that make their own rules. However, HMI students are eligible for FAFSA which is one of the many reasons to consider the credibility of this program over others.And, there is no other program or educational experience I have encountered that truly sets up all its students for success. Not only does it teach hypnotic techniques, it requires additional elective, workshops and case conferences to learn even more while also providing business and marketing strategies to help future hypnotherapists set up their private practices legally and ethically. It provides a 2nd semester internship to apply what you learn to people seeking help for you to earn towards your tuition and seek guidance from instructors and other students.So many of the students that go through this program say this first year is transformative personally and professionally. I completely agree.

They integrate behavior sciences and neuroscience in a way that makes their teachers and students world class and relevant. I have an MFA and co-founded a learning center years ago and I am most proud of attending this school. Prior to my enrollment into HMI, I was thinking about going to Nursing school. Ive always been fascinated with the mind and mind body connection and when I discovered HMI and looked up all the courses that were covered in the 720 Program I knew it was a better fit for me. I first found HMI back in 2009 when I was still a resident of So Cal, but far enough away from Tarzana that I was able to take advantage of their 300-hour distance program. I took it and graduated with honors in 2010. It was my dream to make hypnotherapy my brand new career. Life had other plans but I never gave up on it and HMI magically re-appeared in my life in 2021, with the new AOS program. I am now ready to graduate the 720 hour program and move on to the degree in Mind Body Psychology.What can I say? I LOVE this school. There are not enough positive, wonderful things I could say about it and have that even come close to describing how grateful I am that I have this second chance at making hypnotherapy my actual reality. If you are interested in learning hypnosis, this is IT. As an distance learner at HMI, I am thoroughly enjoying the experience! I have been taking classes for three months now and am about half way through the program! I fine the classes informative, and the instructors knowledgeable and professional. They have always gotten back to me and have been very helpful. HMI is an excellent and well organized college. It is 50 years old this year :) There isnt a better program available for the study of Hypnotherapy. The pace of the school work is laid out systematically. In other words, the program incrementally becomes more demanding. However, one is able to handle it because of the order of topics within the training. I received excellent training and started seeing clients right at the start of the internship. The environment of the school is extremely positive and motivating. All of the information to successfully complete the program is available from the start on the well-organized student web portal. One of the most helpful aspects of the program is being able to select a mentor from the very experienced and established staff. I cant say enough good things about HMI. I was disenrolled on the basis made by a classmate without any inquiry to me by the directors. I was told I may return once my situation was resolved. At best this was received with incredulity as the student making the claim was well known to me and actively involved in substance abuse during and after classes. I am greatly disappointed in the administration and feel that while HMI is highly accredited and has many high profile clients as they repeatedly remind students, the bottom line is they are about reputation and money. Including high priced extra classes for weekend certifications. My advice is look elsewhere. There are many reputable choices available to those seeking personal and certified credentials in becoming a hypnotherapist.

HMI is an excellent hypnotherapy school. I received an outstanding education as a student there. I found the curriculum to be solid, thought provoking, and well rounded. The individual classes are well organized and taught by instructors that are both personable and professional.When I was looking to pursue my education in hypnotherapy I was drawn to Hypnosis Motivation Institute in part because it is a nationally accredited school, they have been around over 50 years, and they have a brick-and-mortar campus (even though I was a distance student). Those were huge pluses to me. But even better was the content of the education. I learned far more than I was expecting to learn.And the experience component of the education was fantastic. It was great being able to apply what I was learning in real-time while I was still studying. Not only that, I was able to work with some great fellow students as we practiced on Zoom. I ended up forming friendships with a group colleagues before I had even graduated.I highly recommend HMI to anyone who wants to pursue an education in hypnotherapy!

For context, I am a near-term graduate of HMIs 12-month residency program, and have taken extensive advantage of the resources offered by this institution.Education, of any kind, is definitely what you make of it, measured by the combination of depth and accuracy of the material and the amount of effort and intensity with which you engage with that material.I have a Bachelors Degree in Education, and have been the head of training for multiple corporate organizations throughout my professional career, having formally retired from professional life in 2014 after 35 years in business. In my opinion from that perspective and experience, the Hypnosis Motivation Institute provides a truly exceptional depth and accuracy of material that is either peerless in the industry, or at the very least competes with the best of the best in that regard. I sincerely believe that the quality of material presented at HMI is worth considerably more than the price of attendance, and am very pleased that I spent the time and effort required to obtain my Certified Hypnotherapist (C.Ht.) designation through my attendance at this school.Admittedly, I have little desire to come very far back out of full retirement, but within just the first four months of developing a private hypnotherapy practice (which is an integral part of HMIs 12-month residency program), I had achieved as full of a schedule of clients as I desired, with a minimum fee of $75 per session, and completely ceased all advertising efforts for additional clients. I have every confidence that within six additional months of low-cost advertising effort, I could achieve a full time practice of a minimum of 30 clients a week at $150 per session.Keeping in mind that I have an extensive background in both business development and education, my previous professional experience contributes extensively to those results and confidence. However, also keep in mind that HMI is not responsible for your business success. It is not a business school. It is a hypnotherapy school. HMI is responsible for providing you an education in hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and in that regard, again, the depth and accuracy of their material is exceptional.For the prospective student, here are my suggestions:First, focus your time and energy in learning the components of the Kappasinian Model of Hypnosis and E&P presented in the first eight classes of 101, and the two E&P classes of 202. That will be 75% of your success in the program. The rest of the classes at HMI generally represent opportunities for you to become familiar with different methodologies of application, and approaches to interaction with clients. 90%+ of all of these remaining classes are best approached (in my opinion) as supplemental to the core theories of the Kappasinian model of Hypnosis and E&P.Second, invest at least 60% of your time in the program (before your internship) studying the Atlanta Series and Staff Class courses in the 401 Elective program. Go through all of the lessons once (and there are a lot of them), as soon as possible, and then go back through each one again at the beginning of your internship, one lesson per calendar day.Third, focus your internship on getting clients. Period. HMI will generally provide you with pro bono clients. Certainly take them, but focus 80% of your efforts on getting your own paying clients. Focus the other 20% of your efforts in obtaining targeted AHA Certifications (Smoking Cessation, Weight Loss, and Handwriting Analysis are my core recommendations).I recommend *NOT* getting any paid AHA certifications before your internship. Study them *after* you have a solid foundation in the Kappasinian Model, building on that understanding rather than competing with it.

HMI is not just a college, it is an experience that will change your life forever!. I came to HMI to learn hypnotherapy, but I found more than I could have ever imagined. I have had hypnosis training from other so called schools and trust me, HMI stands high above any of them. I started studying mind a decade ago.Main reason was to improve my autoimmune related health issue that western medicine has limitation to help me.I attended a couple life coach training programs by world famous organizations, too.However, they didn’t satisfy me.Now, I graduated HMI. While I was studying there, I was also working on myself using the technique and the wisdom I learned from the instructors.Now, I do not need to spend my daily life just staying in the bed any more.Thank you HMI. A wide range of issues and approaches are covered. While I had studied and researched psychology and the workings of the unconscious for many years, it was the decision to attend HMI, which was the key to igniting my long-held dream of opening a private practice.Three surprising outcomes came out of attending this school:1. My confidence and productivity grew within weeks of the first class (No doubt due to all the practice and experience with hypnotherapy). 2. I witnessed firsthand how effectively hypnotherapy helps clients transform their lives. 3. I learned the business and marketing skills needed to open a practice. (This piece is vitally important to anyone hoping to create a business, and yet most therapists and other health/wellness professionals are taught next to nothing about how to create a business plan, network and advertise. I am a distant student and although it’s set up well as an online course, it is difficult to get a response from the tutors when you have a question. It takes a few days for them to get back with you. I also emailed wanting to pay off my tuition 3 times and nobody ever responds. I was really excited to do HMI online but can’t say I am too impressed after being in it 1/3 of the way

I saw the billboard while driving to work. Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy, but specifically past life regression, has always been something I was interested in. I attended one of their free self improvement classes thats open to the public and was hooked. The following week I was enrolling. The experience has been eye opening. HMI changed my life! I used to be a nobody. Working 9 to 5 at a dead-end job. Dating a girl who didnt really like me. Trapping my neighbors pets for the reward money.
