Ive been a customer to the Hugh Kollar team for almost a decade. They are fantastic to work with. My favorite aspect is they treat you like family vs just another number. I get happy whenever I think of this insurance office. Sounds corny, I know, but it’s true. Every interaction has been excellent and far exceeded my expectations. Lori is the manager and makes my day every time I drop in with questions or a request. Not only does she solve the problem, but she does it right away, and follows up with notifications before I can even wonder about it. Hugh is the man when it comes to insurance. Hugh is the worst agent I have ever dealt with. He accused me to be a liar saying that what I was saying would never happen. I asked if it be researched and called back. I got an email instead of a call. He also told me I was not a got for his office. He has been my agent for over a decade happy to take my money but didn’t even know that I have had my policy with him that long.

Lori Ann Elder, Office Manager, has been in the insurance for 40 years and was so professional, responsive and knowledgeable about auto insurance, homeowners insurance and the umbrella policies they have available. Lori provided several quotes for me to evaluate versus our current insurance policies so I could bundle policies showing the rates, or see the rates for stand-alone policies. She was very helpful. I also had an opportunity to talk with Frances in this office and found her to be helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Hugh Kollar State Farm Insurance Agency is what all insurance agencies should be like. I have about 18 policies with them and have been with them for over 12 years. Hugh and his team (Lori and Jennifer) are very accessible and always respond to any requests and questions promptly. I dont have to worry about anything related to insurance because I can depend on them 100%. Over the years, I made some claims (Business and Personal) and Hugh and his team helped me through the whole process without much involvement from me. Lori Elder is my go-to person. I have known Lori for 15 plus years. She is a storehouse of knowledge and has a personality that would put anyone in a good mood. There was even a short period of time when insurance rates went up, and my daughter and I changed companies. Mistake!! It wasn’t worth the minimal savings with the other company. We went back because of Lori. The customer service was terrible with this All State company. The first agent we were dealing with was pushy and short-tempered. Ive been with State Farm for a decades, but only 4 years in Carlsbad. Ive always had Roadside Assistance added to my auto policy for less than $8 a year. You never know when its going to be needed. Ive had broken keys, leaky radiators, flat tires, and the most recent yesterday, a bad starter. With Roadside Assistance you can call any tow truck operator, then email a copy of the bill to State Farm and theyll mail you a check. This happened this morning with an email to Lori in Hugh Kollars agency. I sent the email with a copy of my $105 towing bill at 10:42, by 11:00 Lori sent an email that the check was in the mail. I could never understand why so many people use AAA, when there is a better and less costly solution for roadside assistance.

I was referred to State Farm by my best friend. She lived on a cul de sac, here in San Diego, which was affected by wildfires. Out of 13 homes on the street, 7 were destroyed by fire, and the other 6 suffered severe smoke damage. Every single homeowner had to make an insurance claim. Since all the neighbors were going through the same thing, it was very clear which insurance companies were taking care of their customers and which were not. State Farm stood out above the rest. My friend and her family were one of the first ones back in their home. State Farm found them really nice temporary housing while the repairs were made. When they returned to their home, it was as good as new. Having insurance is important, but having the RIGHT insurance company is even more crucial.Hugh and LoriAnn are the best. The personalized service they offer is second to none. I rarely need to call the office, but every single time they immediately know exactly who I am and have my account information at their fingertips. With them, I feel confident that I have exactly the right insurance coverage for my needs, nothing more and nothing less.
