I thought that our tax preparation was good, we normally go to someone who has done our taxes for several years. We came to H&R this year because of scheduling conflicts. So ots nice to have a back up if that happens again.
Been coming to H&R Block for many years. Diana Herra Soto is very customer oriented and extremely knowledgeable. It is a real pleasure to work with her on our taxes. Have to agree though, with many of the comments indicating the high price for tax preparation (but not the fault of the tax professionals; thats more of a H&R Block Corporate policy).
Ethel Kelley is an extremely competent, engaging, and friendly tax professional. H&R Block should be proud to have such a competent person. She has prepared my tax returns for the last 4 or 5 years and I certainly will return next year.

The worst EVER!!!! Had a 8am appointment. Get there at 750am. They dont open until 9am. Why did you make an appointment with me for 8am then?!?!?You just lost a customer for life. Will be telling all my family and friends not to use the worst tax service!!

Because the lady who did my taxes I dont feel had much experience and I dont own property my tax is very simple not much paper work and price was still almost three hundred. Doesnt make sense to pay that much for not sure Ill return to h&r
We have always enjoyed coming to H & R Block. Plus we changed to the Spring Valley location because of Christina Allen being an employee of yours. We used to go to the Lemon Grove location.

Friendly. Took time to explain line items. Efficient. Didn’t give a 5 because the fee is too steep. If it weren’t for the tax return, I wouldn’t have been able to afford it.

Never coming back Rosaline was clearly new at this made me run home to get my 2013 return. I am disabled its not easy for me to get around. She then took almost 2 hours to file. I could have done in a fraction of the time. For FREE!!

2024-01-28 04:15:45I called ahead and told them I would add all the documents online and everything was well. They called me thirty minutes before my appointment to check on me. Once I arrived we got everything done in an hour but I still had to sign my tax return online before the final submission and they were already closed at that point so I said I would do it at home. Once I got home, H&R Block website was giving me an error message and I couldn’t call anyone since they were closed. I go in the next morning as soon as they opened and was helped right away by a different tax preparer than previously. We ended up not resolving the issue and then a message came out saying the website was down. All of a sudden the tax preparer starts mentioning she has another customer with an appointment and starts rushing me out of her cubicle. She says she can print out the paperwork for me to sign real quick but I would have to wait at least 30 minutes. I walked out feeling slighted, disrespected, and frustrated. I had an appointment the previous night but she rushed me off to deal with another customer. They were charging me $800 I expected better treatment than that.

2024-03-27 14:44:12Worked with Bibiana twice, the first time she messed up by miscommunication, and we missed paying state tax. We talked with her and initially she promised us to comp us the fees for 2023tax, but at the end, she denied her promise. Even for our online meeting, she showed up half an hour late.She is just not focused and she doesn’t remember what she says, what she does, it’s a lot of work to work with her.

He also conveyed a very friendly attitude and a smile, which is an asset that makes the client feel comfortable. And then one very important part of the process was taking into consideration the fact that, I in the household, am a senior citizen and a disabled veteran. He communicated very well while giving his full attention for any questions or concerns we might have. And finally he gave us a discount on the cost of preparation as well as got us a good refund, which we were very pleased with. Thank you Mr. Olivares

2022-03-14 00:03:58Edit: I went back this year but instead of answering my questions via the app, they ignored me. I asked the question twice with no response. Also, maybe I was having some scheduling issues but the wrong tax person was messaging me asking for 2020 documents even though my 2020 taxes were done through them. Im not going back to this location despite it being close to my home. I ended up picking up my tax documents and going to a different H&R block. Also, they are quite expensive no matter where you go and charge an extra $40 per document they been to use despite it being just 2 minutes longer.My tax preparer has been kind and knowledgeable but their online scheduling system leaves a lot to be desired. I scheduled my appointment at the beginning of the week and as far as I was aware, it was with the person who did it the previous year. I guess she called out and instead of leaving me a voice-mail informing me of what happened, they just went ahead and scheduled me with someone else at an entirely different time, leaving me to get two random text message notifications of differing time slots for my appointment. Their lack of communication and unclear explanation was very frustrating. Already a stressful tax process and it hasnt even begun.
