Bought bike in Hollister Harley Davidson before it moved and became House of Thunder. For 20 years only shop who ever touched by bike. This year tells me they will no longer work on it. Too old and likely in poor condition. Really??!! Then why when I brought it in employees asked if I wanted to sell it. Sad this shop became this limited way of thinking. Oh well seems San Jose or Monterey will service it.

Of course no one could ask if I needed help with the heavy battery I just spent $$$ on. Guess he figured if I ride a Harley! I could carry the battery. (I ride in the back!)

Great place for service. Had me in and out in a very timely manner Instead of having to wait 10 days for a new part, they had one that only had 1k miles on it. Got the factory warranty on it allowing me to only have to spend 1 night off the road instead of ten. I highly recommend the HOUSE OF THUNDER! Thank you!!!

The people at Thunder Road Harley Dealership really know their product. Every department is so on point they are efficient and friendly. My experience was the best!! I was riding the same day I bought the bike I love it.I wrote this Dec. 2020 by Feb 2021 my opinion of the service dept. at Thunder Road Harley took a 180 degree turn around. I believe if you have to lie for your living you should at least be good at it. Never use the service dept. at Thunder Road Harley.

It was a one-stop shop for all of my questions about Harleys and financing in general and made me feel comfortable and worry-free. I am a consumer Test adviser. We sent a Street Glide in to this dealership to have a couple of items checked out. They have come back with a list of items that the around $1900 that it needed. Which it actually needed none of them. The only thing it actually needed was Rear Brake pads, which We purposely had planted on the Bike. And to my surprise, this wasnt part of the list of items that they have said it had needed. I would warn anyone that does business with this dealership they are very dishonest. We had brought this to their attention that the items they have listed it had needed to be done was hypothetical items, and We were Testing them. They done everything they could to back up their list of items it needed, until they figured out we had our own H-D Certified Mechanic to back up our statements. They use this method to bump the the repair bill as much as possible. They have been tested again to give them a 2nd chance with very similar results. Just more to bump the bill as much as possible.

They have so many different things there to choose from clothes gadgets wallets you name it with the name Harley Davidson on it they have it. The service reps were friendly, but the service team wasted several hours of my time because they lack effective processes.I came in to have my rear tire replaced. I had an appointment for 10:00 Monday, and they let me drop off while they were open on Sunday afternoon. The service rep took my keys, added me into their computer system, and said the bike would be ready Monday. He then rode my bike to the service bay.Complaint 1: Lost my motorcycle. I arrived Monday at 12:15 and asked if they were done with my one-hour tire replacement. The service rep on Monday was great, but told me my motorcycle was never dropped off. We then found the motorcycle, and he was able to adjust their schedule to have my service done while I waited; he displayed great flexibility but the service department showed a lack of competence. I would recommend this service department either start using route sheets or retrain how they use route sheets.Complaint 2: Drained my battery. The service took until 3:30 because they said my motorcycle had a dead battery. Its never had a dead or sluggish battery. I drive it daily. So I suspect (emphasis on suspect) the Sunday service rep left the lights on when he pulled it into the service bay. This only cost me two extra hours of my time.The service rep on Monday was great, kept me updated, and even let me use the employee microwave to warm my lunch. Id say he earned five stars and the service departments lack of processes lost three of those stars.

Went into the service department. Spoke with a guy nicknamed Peanut. Super nice guy! I was quoted a price he wasnt aware of but he honored it without any question! He told me the service was going to be about 2 hours and it really did only take 2 hours! Very few places Ive been lately are on time with their waiting times! A huge selection of clothing the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. store was super clean just an all-around great place to visit if you want clothing or in search of a new Harley. I had work done on my sportster at house of thunder. i got the price of everything and the time frame. they told me it would take a month which i was fine with. I never revived any updates over that month. it took them over a month longer then what they told me. every time i called to check in i was always told by a women that she didnt know anything about it and would have someone call me back. i never received a call back. after finally getting my bike back i noticed the next day that the didnt put the screw for the seat back on. i would never recommend them to anyone. i would say go the the Harley place in San Jose.

Low rider s 117 black. Antonio The Roller helped me choose my dream bike amongst a huge selection of bikes. I test rode the Panam, and the Lowrider s, which helped me choose my favorite. Not many dealers let you test ride anymore so I really appreciate that, especially since Ive only rode a FZ07 and a Vstrom before. They gave me a good trade in value for my DL1000. Super knowledgeable staff, not pushy, and let me take my time. The parts department helped out with anything extra for the bike. Overall best experience buying a bike ever. The 117ci has godly amounts of torque, you have to check it out

The worst buying experience I’ve ever had. The process took over 4 weeks and still got a used bike with a bunch of problems. They said all of the maintenance was done and when they delivered it with the check engine light was on after having it for an additional 4 weeks to preform all of the necessary work. They didn’t do anything to it, it had an oil leak and they didn’t address any of the issues they said they would fix. When I called them regarding the check engine light they said it was because one of the auto decompression Solenoids was bad. I took it to a third part shop to have everything actually addressed and he informed me that the bike didn’t come with the auto decompression solenoids. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with any dealership. Buyer beware when buying a used bike from them.

Before coming in to House of Thunder I went into quite a few other dealerships. While the other dealerships were all friendly and helpful none of them could compare to the service I received here. I ran into some technical difficulties on my road trip from LA to SF.My bike just barely made it to the dealership off the highway. And luckily, I saw their sign from The 101, brought my bike over and was kindly greeted by a sales dude whose name I wish I caught.He introduced me to Theresa who genuinely wanted to help this stuck traveller out! She got me in touch with Harry in service and they were able to fix my issue on my Low Rider S under warranty!Without their friendliness and help, my travel plans would have been somewhat postponed. From the first time I walked in I was greeted with a big smile and a handshake, no pressure to buy. Any questions I had were answered or they went and found someone who could answer my question. Now several months later nothing has changed. Any questions on how something works, someone will drop what they are doing and help me out. I have had contact with many of the people after the sale, in each and every department and all have been great. This place is all about taking care of their clients, before and after the sale. If they had a wet bar and food I would be hard pressed to leave.

My experience with House of Thunder was unusually good. I borrowed one of their beautiful rental bikes for at trip down Highway 1. They discounted my ride, gave me tons of advice and didnt try to sell me a single extra thing. I dealt primarily with the manager and he was easily one of the best customer service representatives I have ever met. He devoted at least an 45 minutes of time directly to me, no interruptions while we knocked out all paperwork and walk around of the bike. On my way back I ran a bit late in terms of time and he told me Take your time! Enjoy it. Dont worry about what time you get back, just get back safely.House of Thunder Harley-Davidson made my book of memories for life as I rumbled down the coast on Highway 1 and even out to Yellowstone National Park. It was a dream that didnt break the bank and definitely reminded me what company in this area deserves mine and my friends business.Give them a shot and see what you think.

Typical BayArea dealership that is trying to make a sale in anyway they can. I visited but did not buy the bike from them. The sales team will make suggestion that may not be correct just to try to get your skin in the game. I did not like their method. They have a good selections of cloths and some older stuff with discounts. Parking lot is big and because they are away from the City traffic, its much easier and more enjoying to do test rides.

THEY SAVED THE DAY !!!!!. Saturday July 3rd Corbin rally. near the end of the day I went to unlock the forks on my 2016 Road glide. The ignition when rotated shot upward and my forks would not unlock. I tried to put it back in after watching a YouTube video. I just messed things up. I called House of Thunder I explained the situation and they said they were open until 6 pm. The tow truck got to Corbin at 5 pm, got me to House of thunder by 540 pm. I went to the front desk and talked to the person I had spoke to on the phone. he sent a mechanic up front, he hopped on the tow truck and had it fixed and ready to go in less then one minute. I went back in to pay, they guy at the front desk said no charge have a great 4th of July. I had no way home and live two hours away. They saved the day / weekend and I am very grateful. Went to buy a Harley at this store.The manager asked my wife & I if we had ever had credit problems.We told him I had cancer chemo & surgeries & had gotten behind but was recovering & catching up.He said we shouldnt waste his time.Said we could never qualify.Went to another Harley store.They checked our credit & said our credit was fine.We took a new Harley home.How much money is lost at businesses every year because of rude stuck up employees?Why do owners pay bad folks at their companies to look so satisfied as they push paying customers out the door feeling so abused that they will never return.How much does it lower their net each time they succeed in their efforts to lower their customers opinions of them?How much 💰 cash does it cost in advertising to get each customer to walk in their doors?Why bother if they make those potential buyers feel the cold hard chill & uncomfortable feeling they try so often to fill their store with.Were does their satisfaction come from? Went in on April 28th. I was going to trade in my little kawasaki z400 to finally get a big boy bike. I was excited just looking around. A nice gentleman named Rich helped me out. He let me sit on them and everything. Fell in love with one, the 2022 Harley-Davidson® XL1200X - Forty-Eight®. I wanted it. Filled in the basic info then they said they need a copy of my ID and SSN and the VIN for my bike I wanted to trade in, no problem. I drove back to SJ and then rode my kawasaki to the dealership. When I got there I gave them all the information. When they got it they said they couldnt finance me because of my immigration status. I have a DACA. It is a government issued social. Ive bought multiple cars, I have credit cards(Amex, Discover, ect) my credit isnt bad. Its near 700. Only way I could get it is if I went through a different lender and have to pay higher interest. Im not mad, in just disappointed. Ive never had a problem with any kind of purchases or financing anything until now. I know Im probably just one person but unfortunately Harley-Davidson has lost my business.5 stars for Mr. Rich though. I have no problems with him, super respectful and kind. He just had to break the bad news to me.

I ordered a part from House of Thunder on 3/28/18 for $353.00 on 7/10/18 I finally had to contact my bank and ask to do a reversal on the $353.00 as to date I hadn’t received the part and was tired of being ran around by the General Manager Theresa. I was not okay with her running me around even went as far as lying to me and only wanted to issue me a store credit which I one live over 2 hours away. I then found out that her shipping department only insured the package for $100 dollars yet I had to suffer and wait on account of someone stupidity. I will never suggest House of Thunder to anyone I know. I hope anyone who goes into that location doesn’t have to deal with Theresa. I will be contacting Harley Customer Care and her District Manager so they know the kind of stunts she is pulling.

I was rear ended on the freeway while moving in traffic at around 50, result, went down and will never forget that sound of my ride sliding down the asphalt!!! I got an appraisal from the ins company on visible damage, then took it to House of Thunder for a final and more detailed inspection, WHAT I EXPECTED was to have a professional check the bike for all the crappy things that happen to them when they do go down and what it will take to make it safe to operate again and to pre crash condition as much as possible. WHAT I HAVE GOTTEN SO FAR When i took the bike i also took a copy of the insurance estimate as well as notes i made of things that were missed and left those with them, I waited for an E-mail from them on their final inspection expecting to see additional things that were found when the bike was taken apart enough to see damage not visible with just a walk around. what I got was something that could not have taken more than 15 min to come up with!!??? fenders and support brackets sums up most of their inspection??? when even the insurance companies basic report was 3 pages long with damaged parts! The shop did not even mention the broken rear brake pedal and so on!!! So I went down there to figure out what the heck are they doing??? I find out the paperwork I brought the first time was gone and I was accused of never bringing it even though they somehow have the claim # and all other information that was on those papers except for the insurance companys parts damaged list???? So I had to give them another copy all the while arguing with me about it and that they never loose paperwork!!! bottom line, the inspection they did even if i did not have an inspection done prior to going there, they did such a horrible job that my SAFTEY as a rider on a bike clearly not safe to ride was not even a thought or checked on the bike. I am going to go pay them for the appraisal they did cause I have no choice, then Im taking my bike that has not been touched and will never do business with them again. My friends and Harley owners are surprised at this mess and will do their business elsewhere too. This sucks!!!

I cant do buisness with a place that goes back on their word. Bought a 2019 Road Glide, and brought it here because they were running a special. Went in for just a Stage 2 upgrade.. Was advised that if I was good with it, they would do a Stage 3 for same price as the 3k I was going to spend in the first place. Thought it was a great deal so I did it. Added a $727 S&S part and instead of new total being $3800 & some change and even after agreeing to 4k total out the door, was presented a bill for much more than what was agreed upon and the pre paid 4k.. If you agree to do something, then the customer pays the agreed price..dont turn around and go back on the agreement. I was willing to spend more and will else where, because if you dont have your word, bottom line your a peice of sh*t. If a customer cant trust you in the small details & deals, then definitely cant trust you to be honest in the big deals. Watch out for that bait & switch & buttonhook. Old rule of thumb in buisness..If someone does you a solid, you might tell one or two ppl about it. Someone does you wrong & you will tell everyone you met. I never write reviews, but this one is for the books.

I stopped by the dealership to get some work done on my 2014 Harley Limited CVO. Henry in the service department helped me out, as he always does. I have always received 5 star treatment from their staff, but that is not why Im writing the review.When I spoke to Henry who saw me walk the floor and look at the new bikes, asked me which one I was going to buy! I had no intention of buying a bike as I really liked my 2014 CVO.I told Henry, the only thing to get me off my current CVO would be a new 2018 Anniversary Edition Limited CVO. I told him that I didnt see one so just service the old bike.Henry grabbed me by the arm and said, Follow me!. He walked me to a bike that he personally knew and showed it to me - exactly what I was looking for!Henry hooked my up with Brian in Sales and next thing I know, I owned a new bike. Actually, I went home first, told Brian what I needed to happen to buy this bike, what I needed as a trade in. After they evaluated my bike for trade in value, I told them I needed a bit more.Next came Sean - what a STAR! He is a no-nonsense gentleman that sat down with me, gave me $1,000 more for my bike that I would have gotten anywhere else and $1,000 higher than the day before estimate. He gave me a great deal on the new bike. Christine in Finance is also a STAR! She went over all the paperwork, explained in great detail all of my finance options, warranty options, etc.I would rate the experience the best I have ever experienced at a motorcycle dealership and one of the best buying experiences of any vehicle I ever purchased. These people are First Class in the way that they treat their customers. I stumbled a bit in providing proof of insurance from my quirky insurance company. HOT went the distance, waited as I got the insurance binder, stepped in when I needed help communicating with the insurance company and next thing I knew, I had a Brand New 2018 HARLEY DAVIDSON ULTRA LIMITED 115TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION!!I couldnt be any happier with the experience. We discussed the price of the bike and then they snuck in a freight and prep fee for around $900 for an $8400 bike. Thats more than 10%.I didnt find out until several months later (today) while I was going over the paperwork with another Harley Dealership. I was told that it didnt make sense being charged freight and prep on a USED bike that was sitting outside. I saw where they SNUCK it in.That was such an unethical and dirty business tactic. Took my motorcycle in for repairs June 4th hoping to get it back for the Hollister Independence Rally. Did not get it back until July 6th. Was told parts were back ordered. Then was called and told parts were being picked up at another dealer and should be ready before June 30th. (Date parts would had come in from back order). Needless to say motorcycle was not ready until July 6th.Compensator kit, 2 quarts oil, gaskets (service kit, primary cover, inner primary and inner bearing race) $537.64, 2 hours labor$246.00, tax $48.39, total $832.03.My motorcycle was put back together test driven and now being told its my transmission bearings causing noise. So now you start all over again. Tear down 2 hours labor and cost of bearings.Was never told they were sorry it took so long for the repairs and I was unable to ride to the rally as planned. Had I known it was going to take this long I would of never taken it in. But they already had me cause it was torn down first to troubleshoot it.

The condensed version: bought a used bike on 3/13/15. Registration expired in 4/2015 and I never received the notice for renewal because of a discrepancy with the mileage. Stuck making payments on a motorcycle I cannot ride.I purchased a used 2014 Street Glide Special from this dealership. The registration was due to expire in April 2015 and I was told at the time I bought it that I would be responsible for paying the registration out of pocket and I was fine with that. April comes and goes without a notice from DMV to renew the registration. So I call the dealership and was told that they hired a new DMV person and to wait and I would get the notice. In May my mother had a medical issue and that lasted into late June. In late June Harley Davidson Credit Corp sends me a notice asking if the DMV had mistakenly sent me the title. I called them and told them I hadnt and I also hadnt received the registration renewal. The called me a week later stating that there was a discrepancy with the mileage and DMV wont release the title. I went by the dealership again and told them I was worried about being pulled over for out of date registration and having the motorcycle impounded. The sales person tells me to hold on and returns with a paper dealership plate and tells me to put that over my California DMV issued license plate so I dont get pulled over. This takes me into about August when I went to DMV and asked about the registration. The DMV worker told me that according to their records the motorcycle is still registered to the dealership and to contact the Investigations department of DMV. I went back in to the dealership in early November and was told that they were working on it and would get back to me the following week. With still no word and a claim filed with DMV I went in again on December 5th and was told that I would be contacted. At this point I am stuck paying for a motorcycle I cannot legally ride for the past 9 months at $369.37 a month ($3,324.33 all together). At this point I am looking at getting a lawyer.If you want to take your chances feel free, but this is the nightmare I am stuck with and their hasnt been any sort of customer service to speak of.
