Where do I start, Well first I have brought my 2017 porsche macan turbo to 3 different shops to get fixed. Little Context I recently bought this car and it was doing just well til my temp gauge started acting up then shortly my water pump was no longer working got that fixed. Shortly my serpentine belt ripped due to a snaped tension bolt now im completely hating this decision of purchasing this car. So fast forward ive called around with this issue got lucky to speak with John towed the car to get it inspected I relayed the issue told him everything that has happened. Shortly after a quick turn around say about 5 days the broken bolt that was stuck in the block was extracted!!SHOUT OUT TO THE TECH who worked to get it out appreciate you and also brought the car back to factory setting coming to found out that it had a bad tune from the previous owner which was throwing a lot of codes they fixed that issue and on top of all this John and the whole HOUSE AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, gave me a deal of a life time to fix all these issues ( broken bolt into the block, Shredded serpentine belt, bad tune on the motor, pdk transmission service, and a bad boost boot.) lets say I walked out of there with my wallet in tact!!!! they truly took care of me and was the best decision I made to take it in there! Truly Thank you john, Mark (tech) And all of the house automotive group for giving exceptional customer service quality craftsmanship and problem solving solutions. Highly Recommend this shop as being in the service industry these are the standards we all deserve thanks again! see you at 100k service!

Andy was super nice and gave me honest advice about a CPO Porsche Cayenne I was considering buying. He told me I didnt need to spend the money on an inspection and helped me understand the issues that might come over the next few years. I will definitely use them in the future when issues with my new Porsche arise (hopefully not soon ;) ).

I have been to house for two different services, and had an exceptionally awesome time in both instances.Scott who I believe is the manager is amazing - and everything you want in an auto tech - transparent, honest, kind, knowledgeable and patient - he was eager to answer any questions we had, and was always more than happy to take time to address our concerns.He even went so far as to correct a mistake I made - dropping a screwdriver in the engine bay! They dropped the belly pan and found nothing - he explained to me how it likely worked itself out of the engine bay, and put us at tremendous ease. This was all free of charge!We did brakes and spark plugs here - and in both cases we had wonderful experiences. I have been going to these guys for a few years now. Theyve taken care of my 997 and I cant say enough about the guys over at House in Pasadena. Andy has always been great and has gotten out of a few binds (clutch went out, battery went out, etc) and they always have gone above and beyond to help me out. Most recently, Andy and Ralph helped me get sorted when my car wouldnt start and even offered to help anyway they can. I would 100% recommend this shop for your Porsche needs. Theyve been great for me.

What a great experience. I usually take my cars to the dealership for maintenance and service but after my amazing experience at HOUSE Automotive, I do not see a reason why I would go to the dealership and pay more for the same service. These guys are very knowledgeable and know what they’re doing. My service advisor, Ralph, answered all of my questions and helped me understand my car better for any future service and proper maintenance. My front drivers side window failed to move up. Scott quickly diagnosed the problem as the regulator and motor. Complications in parts logistics and reassembly extended repair time to about a week. However, Scott clearly explained all complications and even adjusted the remittance of payment. My fixed window continues to work great.

I had a deeply unsatisfactory experience with this Porsche repair shop. Despite having a positive history with them, I was charged a hefty $2,287.75 for a seemingly straightforward rear window regulator replacement on my convertible 996. The real trouble began when John, a representative, claimed my top hydraulics were leaking and warned of potential difficulties in opening and closing the convertible top in the future.I contested this, stating that I had recently replaced the top hydraulics and convertible top locks at a Porsche dealer, and I hadnt encountered any issues since then. However, upon driving back home, I noticed the convertible top didnt budge. After contacting John, he asked me to bring the car back to the shop the following Monday.They retained my car for four days, only to inform me that both top hydraulics cylinders were leaking, causing the convertible top malfunction. Interestingly, they asserted that their mechanics didnt touch the hydraulics or convertible top during the rear window regulator replacement. I reiterated my recent service at the Porsche dealer and questioned how their mechanics accessed the rear window regulator without opening the convertible top. To replace the rear window regulator, the convertible top must open 90 degrees. This is essential for accessing the rear window regulator, as it is situated right next to the hydraulics cylinder. I questioned how their mechanics could perform this replacement without opening the convertible top. Despite this specific concern, John evaded addressing the issue, leaving me frustrated and with unanswered questions about their repair methods.I emphasized to John the implausibility of their claim about leaking top hydraulics, pointing out a crucial detail: the absence of any fluid leaks in my garage.I hadnt observed any fluid or droppings on my garage floor. Considering I drive the car only once or twice a month, it should have been evident if the hydraulics cylinders were indeed leaking.John evaded my questions, simply repeating that the top hydraulics were leaking. He insisted on a costly $2,500+ labor replacement for both hydraulics cylinders. Frustratingly, the shop refused to address my concerns, leaving me with both unanswered questions and an unresolved problem. This has undeniably been a disheartening experience with House Automotive.

The staff at House, especially Andy, are always great. They are efficient, helpful, and honest. Never have I had a mechanic talk me OUT of having unnecessary work done. Every time you enter the establishment they make you feel welcome with their upbeat demeanor and free drinks. During service they provide a complimentary one way Uber ride. Afterward they provide an option for a complimentary hand wash for your car! If you own a Porsche in the Pasadena area this place is a great first choice.

I messaged Greg (owner) in regards to their oil change service for my 07 Boxster 987. Greg was quick to respond and answered all of my questions. I went in on a Friday morning and was greeted right away by Andy (service advisor). He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I was in and out within a hour and a half. Their waiting room was comfortable, clean and covid safe. They provide coffee, drinks and plenty of cool reading material. I was planning to drop off my car and walk to a local Starbucks, but I found myself just hanging out. When the oil change was completed, Andy provided some services that I should consider in the future which helped a lot. I will defiantly be making House Automotive my home service center for my Boxster.

House Automotive needs more than 5 stars! I asked John and his crew perform a Pre-Purchase inspection on a Porsche 718 Cayman for me, since the seller was in his area and I live out-of-state. John was very accommodating on the scheduling the inspection, since the seller was bringing the car in and I was paying for the inspection. Their inspection was extremely thorough and he found more issues with the Cayman than I was willing to accept. He asked me to call him so we could review the inspection form, and he went trough it line by line to explain the defaults on the car. He also included photos of the areas of concern on the vehicle. Im glad I spent the money because House Automotive probably saved me over 20 times the cost of the inspection in needed repairs. I found a different 718 Cayman in excellent condition, which I have now purchased. Thankfully the House Auto inspection on the wrong car led me to the right one!

So I have a 1998 993 C2S that developed a oil leak. What the heck, who would have thought of that? 🤔😅.Anyway went to my independent Porsche place who I had used for 15 plus years. Hes very highly respected in Porsche circles. Diagnosed the problem but backlog(timing chain gasget required engine removal). Cant get to it soon. 6 months passed and still cant get to it. Recommended another OC independent and took car there and he confirmed the issue . Put on the wait list again. Another 6 months and still no commitment on when they could do it.Took my wifes BMW for service at the place we use and got to talking since hes a Porsche guy. He highly recommended House. Called them up and Andy took care of my car.Good discussion right off the bat and they confirmed the prior diagnosis of the other guys.Approximately 2 weeks later I have a none smokey car back.Andy was great. Kept me informed plus we took care of alot of other things while the engine was dropped out. FYI dropping the engine is pretty expensive so take care of little issues at that time. Recently needed service on my 06 997.1 and went to House Automotive for the first time since I was recommended by some friends. I never received the dealer experience from a Porsche dealer since I purchased my 911 used a few years ago. I just wanted to say that this independent shops customer service was amazing. They have a nice waiting area with a variety of sparkling water and coffee, and the techs are extremely friendly. The car ended up having to stay a bit longer than expected so they rented me a car with pickup service since I live about an hour away or they would have ubered me home, but I believe the rental was more convenient and cost effective. In the following days, I was updated multiple times a day by the tech Andy and they found the issue and resolved it. Retrieving my car was easy since I still had the rental and my car was in the front washed, vacuumed and sparkling. Pricing was EXTREMELY fair for the services and transportation... I would have expected this from a dealer, but never a small shop. If youre in Southern California, I highly recommend this place.

Last May I found out about House Automotive through a fellow PCA member. I then contacted House Automotive & was immediately greeted by John at the Pasadena location. He was & has been extremely thorough in explaining the engine rebuild process & future upgrades I may be interested in for my 2003 996 C4S. Top notch customer service! I don’t even get half the level of customer service at my actual dealer. Scheduling was easy and immediate and they worked to fit my schedule. They responded very quickly by texts and even called back after missed calls! During the routine maintenance service, I got called with regular updates and my car was in and out ahead of schedule and they even hand washed my car as a complimentary service and threw in some free tire valve caps. Last year my coolant system failed on my 911 Turbo causing my car to spew coolant and overheat. House automotive was recommended for a pinning service in which they fit new coolant pipes and pin them to prevent future incidents. This is a full engine-out service in order to properly address the issue and the House team was able to deliver. In the process the team had to make several adjustments / subsequent repairs following the first incident but did so so at no addition charge to me and very willingly. 1st time using House, not the last time. I had an oil leak caused by another mechanic over tightening oil filter and using incorrect crush ring on the oil plug. House automotive Pasadena is a general good place to get a quote and consider for your Porsche repairing. They take appointment to get ur car and the guys in front office are nice and welcoming. The mechanists are nice and willing to inform or educate me about my car, I much appreciate that. Generally they’ve done the IMS bearing and Clutch assembly replace work for my Porsche and they did a 90% good job for it. Why 90%? 1. It’s because the throughout bearing noise is still there from time to time; 2. There’s more lil noise appears after I got the car back, one of the noise that annoys me the most is from the rear suspension assembly and pretty noticeable but not diagnosed when I’m paying for the diagnose; 3. For the general level of work the price are still expensive, appreciate the couple hundreds discount I’ve got from my buddy Andy at the end, it’s generally still pricey. Last but not least, I’ll continue observing the repairs of my car and keep in touch with house automotive, thankfully they’re nice and patient guys that willing to solve customer’s concern. We were looking for an independent shop that didnt charge dealer pricing and we definitely didnt want to go to the dealer for work if it wasnt warranty related. House is a bit of a drive for us but you do what you have to when you find a good shop.Took it in for an oil change and they did the full vehicle inspection as well as some additional work we had requested. I developed an oil leak on my Porsche Cayenne S. I called House and Alex told me they could inspect the vehicle right away. I find them to be very honest as well. Been coming here for works on 987 for 4 yrs now. Took it in for service last week, Greg was able find a time for me to come in the next day. Luckily was able to trace my defunct AC to just a pressure switch. I have been going to House for all my Porsches for the last 6 years and have never been disappointed. Most recently, they serviced my 997 S in the midst of COVID 19.... and they made me feel comfortable in such an odd time for us all. They picked up car and the driver was wearing proper attire and taking precautions in terms of any form of contact. When I picked up car, the staff at the shop were all practicing social distancing and wearing mask/gloves. I know we as a society expect that in this time.... but it’s another thing when a shop like House is proactive about it. Of course they did a great job on my car as well. I have over 130k on this car as I’ve had it a while and it shows no signs of quitting as House has taken great care of it since the beginning. Greg and Joey are great to work with. Before I bought my 997 turbo, I had House Automotive look it over with a PPI. The appointment was very easy to make and the guys were very accomodating and friendly. I was able to ask my questions and they helped with whatever they could. I was even able to get all of the service done in the promised time span, which was really helpful because my schedule has been very tight. Most recently, Ive acquired a 2013 Cayenne and a 1996 Carrera (993). I took it to House Automotive for an early oil change (Because I dont wait 10,000 miles for an oil change.
