Its cheap but, in this case, you get what you pay for. We didnt have a good experience. The rooms were not very clean. The staff we encountered were friendly. However, many times there was not a front desk person. You must communicate through a video kiosk. After a certain hour, they lock the on-site garage to all guests. So, you cant get in to park your car. The locks on the doors didnt feel secure. On the first floor, the doors that lead to the outside have glass panels with flimsy locks. Plus, the area surrounding the hotel was not well lit. We left after one sleepless night. Unless you are desperate, I recommend looking for another place to stay.

The location is challenging and extremely hard to get to. If you miss the turn, good luck. Be prepared to do 8 loops.I appreciated Crystal at the front desk, she was amazing and very helpful! Her service was the best part of the stay. I was nervous about needing remote service if no one was there, but if you give them a call sometimes theres a real person there, just not visibly present. Crystal was really helpful and able to exceed my expectations whenever issues came up.Rooms were not the cleanest, but its okay.Wifi was extremely slow.

This was a very short trip, just for one night.First appearance? Its pretty. It has a nice initial impression... but then you get to the lobby, and it feels cold, empty, and extremely outdated. A thought I held about the entire building.I feel this could be a fantastic little hotel. If some redecorating and some repairs were done to freshen and modernise it.Upon getting to my room, I immediately got a strong chemical smell... not too pleasant. I opened a window and immediately got treated to multiple flies entering. So far, its not the best entrance. Then I found myself discovering crumbs on the floor, dirty smudges on the walls, and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, making me question whether the chemical smell meant the room was truly clean or not. Enough so that I then found myself staring at the long cylinder cushion across the pillows of my bed... I didnt trust that to be clean.I actually went to get a fleece and some pillow cases from a store to soothe my fears.This hotel felt... just so empty and dead. I even absently mentioned to my partner that it reminded me of a hotel from one of those supernatural documentaries or shows.The rose toilet paper shape was an interesting choice for sure.

Worst nights sleep Ive had in years. Bed is incredibly uncomfortable and the pillows are clearly the cheapest they could find at the Dollar Tree.Room faces a massive highway with absolutely no sound barriers, so you have road noise all night.Half the metal in the place is rusted, including the fire sprinklers, which is a bit terrifying. Rooms havent had a deep clean since the Bush administration and it shows.

The worst hotel breakfast I had in my life. The posted picture of the breakfast is fake and they do not serve any eggs, sausages, or bacon at all. All you have are apples, bananas, muffins, auto meals, coffee, hot water, milk, orange juice, and slices of bread. The room is old and you hear lots of noise from next-door guests vice, talking, TV through the headrest of the bed. The wall has no soundproofing at all. No staff support and the front desk staff does not even greet each guest who comes and out. The ground outside is not clean and a lot of garages in the parking lots. I see one homeless polking around in the parking lots. They have a Laundry but they they say, they do not have coins, or quarters for exchange, we do not exchange. I guss they do not want to continue business any more.

The service is terrible. For example, tonight there was NO NIGHT STAFF. Had an emergency, but a person half a world away on a kiosk was all there was. The rooms are usually shoddy, *something* always broken. I echo another reviewers comment that the ONLY reason to stay here is the location; THAT at least is very convenient. Ive been a very frequent guest here for that reason, but tonight was the last straw. No more. This place, quite frankly, sucks.

The place is clean and looks nice.However, the overall experience was far from pleasant.There was no one in the check-in counter. Instead, there was a check-in computer with a lady that hardly speaks english,There was no drinking water in the room, and the phone to call the front desk for help didnt work.The walls are super thin, so we could hear the neighbors snoring and the highway noise.If you come to this hotel, bring with you earbuds, eye masks, and drinking water.

The ONLY reason to stay here is you want the location and your budget doesnt let you choose a better hotel. I was there for three nights. No staff just a kiosk and if you need help they can contact the manager but basically you are on your own. I was put in the tiniest ugliest room. It was so small worst room ever. My wheelchair couldnt fit at all. I went around the hotel taking pictures and comparing rooms since there is no staff I could go into some other rooms and discovered some of the rooms are decent. After 3 hours I was notified that I could move to a new room. My new room was on the first floor and the doors opened to the front walkway. So much noise, very noisy outside and you could hear every foot step from the room above. I didnt sleep much there. The directTV didnt work. Maintenance restarted the box but it kept going off. So I had TV only part of the time. I just restarted it myself after that when it stopped working. My new room was pretty but had a very heavy smell of chemicals probably cleaning products. The chemical smell was absorbed into the pillows so I couldnt use the pillows. The smell was absorbed into some of my clothes as well. I would not recommend this place or go back. I am posting pictures of both rooms.

This was supposed to be a sweet love get away where my husband could bring up a little complementary breakfast, and we could veg the morning away in bed. It was advertised as being included. The place was very dusty. There was a cheep hotel in the same parking lot. Garbage was spilling over the large dumpster and blowing g all over the parking lot. The fountain that was supposed to be in the center was not working. We stayed three days, and I wish we would have stayed at the cheap hotel behind them. They had coffee and muffins. Lol You take your chances this place used to be a solid 10 for us not any longer which makes me sad.

Due to safety issues, i didnt stay at this hotel. On 12/19/23, I was in the parking lot of Dannys in Sunnyvale. I sat in my car looking for a hotel for the night. A car pulled up next to me, with a guy that reclined his seat and got on his phone. There was many other empty parking spots in the lot.I found zico hotel and drove off and headed that way. When i got there, I booked my stay in the parking lot. I was reaching over to grab my bag and check in, when the same guy from Dannys parking lot pulled up one spot away from me and got on his phone. He just sat in his car. I immediately called zico hotel and spoke to a woman, telling her about what was happening and why i dont feel comfortable coming out my car and stay for the night. The woman suggested i park down stairs, i told her, no, because I can be followed down there. While on the phone the guy got out his car and went into the hotel. The woman, told me, management will get back to me. Nobody called me back and im still waiting on a refund.I drove to the exit of the driveway, while sitting there looking for another place, some guy came to the drive way and picked a cigarette bud and put it in his mouth and left the drive way. He came back for the 2nd time, walking around the drive way. I also saw a lady that came out the hotel, with a black shirt on, to throw out garbage. I have called this hotel 4 times, 3xs i spoke to people, 1x I left a message, still waiting onmanagement

No front desk staff, only an overseas call center employee at a video kiosk. They are nice but they really dont take the place of in-person staff. Rooms smell like mildew and chemicals. Threadbare towels, no safe, single-pane windows that let in freeway noise.

Just completed my second stay here. The location is convenient for me, and the rates are normally very affordable. I appreciated the easy check-in service and getting on arrival. There is also a kiosk for self check-in. The continental breakfast is open at 6:30, which was good for my schedule. Rooms are standard to small, especially the bathroom.

Hotel Zico is a really well located hotel with rooms at a very reasonable rate. The rooms were clean and have everything one needs.However, the check-in process was absolutely bizarre, they use a live kiosk in the lobby to handle all activities even though they have a clerk at the front desk - very strange. The live kiosk team was delightful, but they still were not able to handle my simple changes.Unfortunately, Im not sure I would recommend this place, although I would have no issues staying here again myself.

I suppose they’re passing along the savings to the guests by having a representative on a kiosk screen to handle check-in. It really doesn’t make any sense considering there was a human at the front desk. Maybe I’m strange but I prefer in-person service. That was an experience all in its own.After entering my email and phone number, and hitting submit to register, the guy says he “lost my email,” however in the world that is possible. My cell number was still on the form when he directed me to enter it again. This was after a long day at work, and another 3 hours of driving to the hotel, so I felt my patience was being tested. Like a robot, I entered it again. I grumbled on my way out of the lobby frustrated by my first impression of this place.A couple days into my stay I noticed a bicycle to check-out. I saw a bike trail next to the property so I figured why not? The girl at the desk told me $200 for a deposit, then said $300. At that point I really didn’t care, put me down for a thousand! After all, what could go wrong on a bike ride using their $100 bike? I signed the necessary form to waive liability and whatnot. Upon unlocking the bike, the girls says “have fun!” “Is there a seat?”, I asked. We shared a laugh and she went back inside to retrieve the butt saver. She came back out saying, “sorry, we don’t have one, it will be here next week”. So, imagine my disappointment when I spent 10 minutes doing the process only to not be able to ride along the freeway trail.On top of that, one day I had shut off all lights in the room, left the “catching Zzz” (do not disturb) door lever hanger on, and to my bewilderment came back to a light on!I left feedback, still nothing was done but a simple “Sorry”, so here’s my review. Hopefully this is a one-off experience and your stay goes much better. If you want to save money stay here, or maybe spend another $50/night and get some better service elsewhere.Audrey, the manager there, was understanding and seemed genuine about housekeeping entering my room. That’s probably the only good thing about Hotel Zico. But don’t expect anything in return to make things “right”.

This is the worst and weirdest hotel Ive ever stayed at. There is a disembodied voice coming out of a bizarre kiosk in the lobby; the hotel looks like it was decorated by someone on five different acid trips; the room was old, stinky and dirty; housekeeping only comes if you stay 3+ nights; it is right next to a freeway. The only decent thing about it was the woman working the front desk who found me one extra costco coffee pod.

Not the worst. First off the driveway is a little hard to find the first time since it is directly after the freeway on ramp. A larger sign near the driveway would be good. Once parked finding the lobby was harder than it needed to be as it was behind the motel at the end of patio section. Once in the lobby you check in at a kiosk that features a live person to check you in remotely. A little bit of a process but works well. Then the room. Upon entering the room you are immediately hit with the unpleasant smell of dog pee, smoke and chemical cleaners. The room itself was quite large and clean. The king bed was good enough for a night or two. The luxury flat screen TV was a small 32 that kept losing its signal every few minutes making it almost unwatchable. The Keurig in the room was broken and spat water everywhere except in the K CUP. Surprisingly large microwave and fridge though. Room comes with a public balcony with a table that anyone can use and sit steps from your sliding screen door. While there is a smoking section, no one follows it due to almost no staff on site. At night the secure parking garage closes forcing you to park down by the other hotel on property.

So last night I stayed in this cheap hotel because I was working overtime the next day and just needed a bed between7pm-0230am. When I got into my hotel room, all the lights were on, the tv was on and there was a coffee cup on the table (empty). Everything was clean, the bed was made and everything but some stuff was definitely not where the house keeper woulda left it.I checked every corner and the closet to see if anyone was there. I thought it was weird but I didn’t say anything and went to bed.Today I got a call from the hotel and asked if I checked out and I said yeah I checked out at 0230 in the morning and left my key in the drop box. They asked me if I brought anyone with me to the room? I said no, why? They said when the house keeper came to clean the room today, there was someone still in the room 😦The only place I didn’t check was the Balcony. Very creepy

Out of all the hotels we’ve stayed at, how I forgot to get pictures of this place….. I don’t understand! The pictures posted are pretty accurate. “Skrillacon Valley” did us right by this hotel! Hi tech futuristic check in via big screen and clerk on the screen greets you And gets you all checked in. We woke late and were accommodated with a late check out which to me is very important. They have a water station with filtered water so bring a cup! Very beautiful and comfortable! Quiet and relaxing. Definitely will be returning

Bathroom was only mostly clean. Rooms are generally a bit shabby, with no blackout curtains and subpar blinds. Sheets were not quite fully tucked in. Mystery stains on the chair. Even though I specified at check-in that I did want housekeeping, and hung the door tag accordingly, they never came during my 3-night stay. Needed some extra towels and was told I could only get 2 more (4 total) or they would have to charge me. Toilet not great at flushing. There is a weird virtual front desk situation to basically check in and pay via Zoom, and the actual human at the front desk was a bit surly and not frequently available. Continental breakfast was surprisingly decent.

Not the worst, but has significant flaws. First, it is noisy at night. The main source of noise is the antiquated AC units which rumble very loudly in cycles through the night.Second, the wifi connection and speed can be dismal at times, to the point wheres unusable.My room did not look like it was sufficiently clean, particularly the shower floor which consisted of large pebbles.Would I return to that motel? Probably, since it is unlikely that the similarly priced motels would be any better. I am stating the facts about this hotel as it is possible that some of the problems listed could be corrected by management.

The hotel has lot of homeless people staying there. Some adult urinated on the hallway carpet which smelled disgusting and hard to walk to our room. We reported it to the front desk and front desk promised to send staff to clean and sanitize the hallway. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling which was patched with peeling paint. They charged additional 12 dollars for towel strain that we didnt even use. These reviews are fake. We booked based on the review. Save your money and time. Book a better hotel.

Very thin walls you can here cars neighbors had to use kiosk to check in my first time here but wont be back its nice but to noisy Im going back to the Grand Hotel in Sunnyvale best hotel so far. I didnt see coffee on menu so I didnt order anything. I dont like that you have same balcony area for anyone to use. My door was unlocked and I didnt plan to drink anything from here hot chocolate was already opened. Like I said wont return they need to fix noise here.

In the most recent visit, the manager Roberto and his team have been very professional. We did not use its booking platform but the popular ones. The room we had was clean and free of odor. However, a power strip with USB charger outlet will be great. Some rooms have it. Overall, it was a 5 out of 5 experience.

Everything was good. Clean room, full anemeties, friendly staff. The walls do seem rather thin, you can easily hear what your neighbors are doing and things they say, which means theyll hear everything you do and say as well. Other than that, the discounted price offered on expedia made my stay here very enjoyable.

The hotel has a boutique feel to it—you could tell it was great perhaps a decade ago. Now it’s honestly a bit dated, especially in the rooms. The table in the room I stayed in was inexplicably short and the accompanying chair squeaked incessantly. I appreciate they made the effort to make their breakfast special by including homemade (I think) yogurt and hot oatmeal. There is a J1772 EV charger on premise.

Ive stayed at Hotel Zico at least 10 times now for 49ers games. Its an easy 6 min drive to Levis Stadium on GameDay. I enjoy staying here because the price is fantastic and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Very nice little hotel. In general, I was quite happy with it. I would have rated five stars if not for these few small nits: Extending my reservation (which I did several times) required a whole new reservation with credit card and ID, and felt very slow. Spacing of the bathroom was awkward with very tiny clearance between the bathroom door and toilet. The compressor on the mini fridge in my rooms closet was loud. The lobby is halfway across the property from where youd walk in or out, and although there are other external doors, your key wont open them, so you can only use them as exits and have to walk all the way back through the lobby to reenter.

The room was clean and beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. We had a king bed that was more of a queen. It is a Murphy bed. The walls are extremely thin. You can hear every noise upstairs and next-door. Also if youre on the first floor by the lobby you hear every one coming and going. This is a solid place to stay if you are not a light sleeper. Also their key maker wasnt working so evey time we entered they had to open our door.

If it werent for the freeway traffic noise due to its proximity, this would be the perfect casual hotel stay. Lots of great breakfast options for dine in (until 1pm!) or taken directly to your room. Ample parking in garage or open lot (after hours).

Very convenient location right off the highway. Safe parking that is locked at night under the hotel. Easy to book ahead and reasonable prices. Cute decorations. Front desk were very helpful. Rooms are a decent size although a little old and worn out. Everything you could need is available. Overall a pleasant and quiet stay.

Very confused what the front desk persons actual job is. She doesnt check people in, the kiosk does that, and when I asked for firm pillows, advertised as available on request online, she said they are in a housekeeping closet she doesnt have a key to, despite being the only one here...? Maam, what exactly would you say you do here?Also if you get a non-smoking room they may still put you down the hall from people smoking on their balcony (actually a ground floor patio by the parking lot) so yours becomes a smoking room too!On the plus side its walking distance from in n out.

I stayed in this hotel before and I recommend it when asked.My son and I got there, no one was there, after calling out to get attention the front desk person came. She had a real bad attitude, one of those no people.It is a shame to see this real adorable boutique hotel have such negative staff..You should stay in this hotel especially when the price is mostly affordable, just check in earlier to avoid the unpleasant front desk staff..The location is amazing- right off 85 leading to 280, 237 that takes you to Milpitas then to 880, 237 will lead you to 101 north or south, one way to SF other way to LA..The hotel is also between Mountain view, and going north you get to all the Tech companies, also connecting to Sunnyvale, Santa Clara.yup pretty grand location! Try it out, you will like it. If you like your stay please like me : - )

The most important things to me are bed and bathroom. The bed in my room was supremely clean and so comfortable. I did not want to get out! The bathroom was great too. Clean and plenty of hot water. For the price, I felt it was great quality.The only downsides I’d say are: thin as paper walls. I heard my neighbor snoring throughout the night. And also the lobby and surrounding area reeked of marijuana. This hotel is next to an Extended Stay hotel. I don’t mean to judge, but if you know, you know.

Very thin walls, could hear neighbors easily. Dingy room. Cleaning staff entered room while I was working with “do not disturb” sign on door multiple times. No parking for car with trailer. Have fun taking the highway exits 2-3 times every time you drive into the hotel parking lot!

Its a decent little hotel, but the photos and marketing are a bit misleading, in my opinion. It tries to sell itself as an upscale, boutique hotel with the website and photos showing the admittedly very nice grounds and common areas. However, the actual rooms are not that nice, you can hear everything through the thin walls, and one of the 3 staff we interacted with wasnt all that friendly (though the other two were extremely friendly and professional). On the plus side, theres a nice trail directly adjacent to the property, they have bikes that can be borrowed, and the prices are good. We still checked out after the first night due to the noise.

Booked this hotel for a work trip. Would not recommend staying here. It’s basically a Motel 6 with some lipstick on it. Sheets were hot and sweaty, the comforter was paper thin, there were stains all over the wallpaper, the bathroom facet was in need of fixing, and the remote control was missing it’s battery cover so it was just taped up, and you can hear everything people say in the adjoining rooms. The pictures advertised make this place look pretty good but they are very deceiving. Place is way overpriced. It’s an $80/day room that they are charging $200+/day. Total scam.

I like boutique hotels & found the decor at this hotel to be fun, & the unusual bathroom sink to be quirky. Unfortunately when I checked in, the woman at the front desk struck me as indifferent & unfriendly. The exception was the man I spoke with when I was checking out. He was engaging and knew how to hold a conversation with his outgoing personality & positive energy. The front desk could use more of that ability to converse as it sets the mood & impression of the hotel from the get go. My room was not facing the freeway, so I was fortunate to have slept like a baby in a comfortable bed. It took me awhile to find the refrigerator & microwave because it was in the closet. Who knew? While I did not choose to eat at the hotel, I did hear good things about the food being served there. I believe when hotel life returns to normal it could be a fun hotel to stay in. Otherwise, there was nothing exceptional about this hotel at this point.

SIX MONTHS I gave this hotel in advance to get it right. I had booked a hotel for 2 guests, my treat to stay at this location for a concert at Shoreline. While booking the hotel I asked what was needed so my guests would have zero costs accrued to them checking in or out. I was told to send back a form authorizing all charges as well as my ID and front and back of credit card to 1. Hold the room 2. Hold for incidentals 3. Charge the room upon check out. Easy enough right? I guess not. I checked in with this hotel THREE TIMES in order to ask if they needed anything else from me. I kept being assured it was fine. Well what would you know my guests were charged the $220 upon checkout which is double upsetting because they never should have been asked for a card in the first place. How embarrassing when you are attempting to host a couple for a weekend out. I am fuming mad, the hotel also looks great in the pictures and is barely hanging on to budget motel status in person. I would give zero stars if I could.

This hotel is wonderful! There underground parking which is great for keeping the car safe and out of the sun.Checking in was easy and they have a variety of snacks available for purchase at the from desk.Our room was large and had access to a balcony. The balcony is shared with the other rooms close by. The only downside is that the freeway runs right outside the balcony and it was quite loud. We didnt hear the traffic in our room though.The bed was super comfortable and there were four pillows so no fighting over who gets the extra pillow!We used the air conditioner and it was easy to set to a comfortable temperature. It was also across the room from the bed so we werent bloated with cold air all night.They have both a microwave and a refrigerator in the room so I was able to cook a frozen meal rather than going out to eat.The bathroom was a little small, but it was worth it to have a bigger living area. The water pressure was excellent and it heated up quickly. For those who are eco conscious, the toilet had the option for a half flush as well.There were a bunch of nice accents in the room as decorations. The hotel has signs up detailing the basis for the hotels personality and the decor matches.The hotel is easy to miss as it is right after a highway overpass. You are basically transferring on two different highways to get there, so go slowly after the overpass.I definitely recommend this hotel if youre staying in the area!

This hotel is really cute! Its very colorful and cheerful! The beds were comfortable. My only complaint was people smoking cigarettes to close to the rooms with balconies. If the room does have a balcony, it is actually a shared balcony but its a nice area and no one else was out there.

The breakfast is amazing. Great tasting pancakes. The potatoes are incredible. Every part of the breakfast is good except for the ham omelette, which had too much ham. The complementary cookies in the room are super good. The rooms are just clean enough. The carpet seems old. The fixtures are cheap. The shower was better than some but not great. The food makes this place my #1 choice for a hotel near the bay area.

They did have a Keurig so bring all the pods you want. The pillows were nice,, bed was soft but They may need to be replaced. They offer one extra pillow and blacket that you can find in the closet sealed in plastic bag. They gave two complimentary waters, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate packets. We ordered breakfast to our rooms and I must say the food was hot and made exactly how we ordered it. The walls are thin, you can hear whats going on upstairs.🥴 Overall we would stay again. My experience at Hotel Zico was great. The staff was courteous, and took the time to answer all of my questions. The had plenty of available parking, as well as a kitchen to order food. The tacos were AMAZING! The downstairs rooms were very well kept, and had a door to exit the building directly from the room which was a nice surprise. My favorite part, was when returning from our concert in the evening, the front desk greeted us and said, Welcome Home and took pictures of me and my friends. Shout out to that guy, he rocked! All in all, definitely plan to stay here again and would recommend you do too. If there is one complaint, it is rite off of the freeway so it could be easily passed, which we did returning from the concert.

Some of my property went missing i.e. stolen while in the possession of the front desk. The manager failed to call me back on three occasions, and I spoke with the manager (Ricardo or Roberto), who didnt disagree that it was stolen, but told me it was too bad because they are not responsible for items kept behind the desk and if i wanted to do anything i would need to call the authorities....The item was not very expensive, so its loss not a huge deal but the managers dishonesty, and refusal to take responsibility is concerning. A hotel is supposed to be a safe environment, but if you cant trust the staff and management, its hard to feel comfortable. I highly discourage people from staying here.

I reserved this hotel via hotels.com for Sat Oct 30 until Sunday Oct 31. I have arrived at 1 AM of Sunday. The front desk told me that because its after midnight, they can not check me in, and I can not use my hotels.com reservation which I already paid, because they counted it as No Show. I wanted a bottle of water, she said no one is here to bring a water for you. You have to come downstairs to get the water.I booked this hotel on Sep 25 too. The same disrespectful behavior from the front desk. I arrived at 2 AM and they did not tell me I can not use my reservation because I have arrived after midnight.The interesting thing about this hotel is the rating in Google of Hotels.com. I honestly dont know how it got this rating. I am a frequent traveler and had lots of experiences staying in different hotel around the world and never faced the same issue that received the behavior that I received here. This is a quiet gem in the middle of the busy Bay Area! There were a few minor things - my room wasnt ready when I arrived at 6pm on Thursday afternoon, but the concierge, Brita, did everything she could to help me relax. There was wine, cheese and crackers available for everyone so I just chilled. My room was lovely. A large room, more than big enough for the king sized bed and charmingly decorated. The WiFi connected immediately and seemed to work seamlessly. Breakfast was the real treat. Though not much else was offered beyond the oatmeal bar, a Greek yogurt bar and basics, it was the made to order eggs by friendly cooks that really stood out to make it amazing! Ill be back!!

I ended up at Hotel Zico by accident, as the adjacent hotel (where I originally had a reservation) didnt work out. Thankfully, Hotel Zico was right there, and was able to provide a room for a similar price.My room was small, but I believe it is a part of the Mederriterian theme. They are nicely designed, and the color pops. All basic amenities are provided, the sheets smell laundered, and it was suitable for my needs.While the shower design looks nice, the way the shower is designed lets water fall onto the floor. Its more than the floor mat they give you can soak up. Its not a big deal, but should be mentioned for safety purposes.Breakfast was buffet style like most hotels have to offer. Made to order eggs was a plus! Im happy this was available as I wouldnt have gotten that with the hotel next door.Overall, Im happy with my stay, and would return if I happen to be in the area again.Also, I would give a 4.5, but Google wont let me!

It started out great. Great price, location, friendly staff. First night went well. Heard a little.walking around upstairs but not bad. Next day went and scene the sites. The blind in bedroom did nothing to actually block out the building security lights. There needed to be a curtain over the blinds. The AC unit would not turn on and it got very stuffy in the room on a warm spring day in Cali. If it was summer I would have roasted. The buffet breakfast was great, except for the long black hair from the lady in the kitchen. Im blonde so it wasnt mine! My first room smelled like mold. I closed the bathroom and when I tried to use it in the morning it was so overwhelming. I was able to change rooms. My first room was on the first floor. I don’t recommend it. The 2nd floor rooms have a balcony which is way better. The fridge is in an awkward spot being the closet which had the microwave on top of it. Didn’t like it. The beds didn’t feel very comfortable either. They also charged me days after I had checked out. Very confusing with no compensation for the moldy room.

The staff here was phenomenal my stay was great. I had to be in town for work for a week and I was extremely comfortable. The breakfast is decent it changed every day which was nice. They have laundry services here and you can buy snacks up front. It seemed kind of hard to get to because the median on El Camino makes it only accessible from one direction. However if you know what youre doing it is well connected to 2 major freeways centrally located in Silicon Valley. the internet was extremely stable and they were actually upgrading the network week I was there. Theres even free yoga on some mornings and a wine and cheese hour in the evenings. I would highly recommend this place.

Biggest negative was that my room door was adjar when I returned one night at about 10pm -- front desk said cleaning staff didnt finish cleaning for some reason and must have left it open. Not cool. Our stay was for 2 weeks, breakfast was very repetitive, after the first 2-3 days you will get tired of the same food. Pool and gym are closed and they no longer have complimentary coffee/tea in lobby but each room still has coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer and complimentary toiletries and spa bath accessories. Hotel has ice machine and instead of a vending machine for snacks, they have a snack closet for chips, etc--just ask the front desk. Plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and stores nearby hotel within less than a mile drive. If you cant get a good rate online, try calling the hotel directly.

I booked this room for the free breakfast, the balcony, and the two queen beds. There is four in our group so we really wanted the two queen beds for comfort. The kids would have really enjoyed the balcony, they were looking forward to it because they have never stayed in a room with a balcony before. One of us tends to get claustrophobic so the balcony is always a plus for fresh air.so we were a little bit excited and looking forward to our stay here.Upon checking in last night we were told the complimentary breakfast is now gone due to the new policies. This is completely understandable but there has been no replacement of any kind. No danish, no muffins, and no juice.it was explained to us that we could order room service at cost but will not be complimentary. When we walked in the room we immediately found out that there was no balcony. I took a walk around the hotel a little bit later to find out that there was a balcony on several sides of the building with tables and chairs placed in front of rooms. it appears to be a balcony thats open for everybody in the building but sitting on the table and chairs in front of somebodys room would seem very strange so the balcony is not really available for people who are not staying next to it because who would really wants to sit on the table in front of somebodys room. So that makes us feel like a less favorable guest. When we looked in the room at the beds we noticed that they were a severely different size. Thats because we got one king size bed and one full size bed. This is not a huge inconvenience but it is another annoyance. We were looking forward to having two queen-size beds so the children wouldnt have to fight over blankets and space. We have booked this room for two nights and Im giving it two stars because of the cleanliness, comfortability, and the rates.But I will not return due to the bit of altered amenities.

Great location, neither off the beaten path, nor is it in the middle of a downtown. Hotel Zico is also right next to the Stevens Creek Trail, so its easy to get out and get some exercise along a beautiful creek side trail through silicon valley.The room at the hotel room was comfortable. It would have been nice to have had a luggage rack, but I made do. There werent any free electrical outlets near where you would have expected them (the desk and the bed), but there were some free outlets in the room. The microwave in the room was a pleasant surprise. The swinging high and low temperatures of California weather made the A/C unit a nice feature.Service was great. Breakfast each morning was tasty and fulfilling. An onsite gym provides a good selection of basic weight and cardio equipment.Overall, it was a great experience; Ill visit again.

Got here to spend a night in the silicon valley. Very impressed by this hotel. Its clean and staff is well groomed. The bathrooms are top notch. They also have a ping-pong table along with a gym (didnt use it though, was too lazy lol). The breakfast is very elaborate and includes fresh juices, in-house baked cakes and even an omlette bar. This was a great place to stay! We were in town for a few days for my husbands job and they put us up at Zico.Ambiance: postmodern Mediterranean, with tile, terra cotta, a breezeway with tables and chairs, and bougainvillea climbing the walls of the courtyard. The inside is cool and sleek with jolts of color, mostly in the furniture, but also in the artwork and textiles. I wasnt feeling well one day and sat outside painting watercolor pix of the fountain while I waited for the rain to stop, which was relaxing and peaceful. I didnt really notice the freeway noise. I loved coming in at night to crackers, cheese and fruit. So welcoming!Rooms: really comfortable mattress, pillows of varying firmness, soft thick towels, lots of toiletries.Breakfast: terrific! Greek yogurt in little glass Mason jars with clamp lids, hot sausage and peppers, potato hash, thick cut bacon, lots of fruit, a variety of juices and cereals (hot and cold), and made-to-order eggs.Exercise room: I had trouble figuring out the weight machine because the cables were tangled. I prefer free weights, but thats probably a liability. I liked the kettle bells, though, and appreciated the water bottles and towels. They have yoga mats, but public yoga mats creep me out.Service: Brita at the front desk was as fabulous as everyone says. She made our stay especially pleasant.

Highway Noise...hallway noise...terrible room quality...need I say more? Objectively the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Bay Area. Pay the extra $50/night to stay in a Marriott property. The noise was bad inside and outside the hotel, and my room was so odd - a queen Murphy bed with a desk and chair that looked like college dorm quality with stains on the chair. Even after requesting a single bath towel, I did not got it, so I actually dried off with hand towels the two nights I stayed. The front desk staff are few and far between so I had to wait long to check in and check out, and they weren’t pleasant when they finally got back to the desk.

This is not a 5 star hotel but for the price I paid I received far beyond what I expected. The entrance to the hotel is easy to miss, its right next to the freeway entrance so a wrong turn would be quite frustrating. The lobby is just a short walk from the entrance driveway, a little hard to see but not hidden. The hotel is set in a medditrainian theme and is quite beautiful. Little stories from the medditrainian are scattered about the hotel. My boy rico at the front desk was very welcoming. The remodel of the rooms is not perfect but very suitable. Shower was clean and warm, good water pressure, modern interior design, bed was clean and warm, a little stiff but not bad. There was a parking garage under the hotel with an elevator that lead up into the main lobby, it was quite convenient. There were little nik nacs complimentary of the hotel such as Starbucks coffee pods, Nestle coco, slippers, water, trail mix, and a cookie! The little things count. A tablet guide to the surrounding areas, direct tv, and a office desk were also nice addmenties. The complimentary breakfasts really put it over the top! Some of the best bacon Ive had and it looked as though you could even put in an order for breakfast at the kitchen. I look forward to my next stay

I think I may have gotten a better connection with two tin cans and fishing line. The breakfast was delicious, however, there was a recurring theme of bacon /sausage / bacon / sausage throughout the whole week. This hotel gets a lot of things right for a geeky traveler. The wi-fi is fast (though sometimes hard to connect to) and theres a big table in the room. There are washing/dryer machines. I booked a room 10 months in advance to get a proper room. The room we were given was about 10 yards from the freeway. Very load asked for adjacent rooms, that did not hapoeh. The room was small, smelled and a one very skinny blanket to keep you warm. The receptionist was so busy flirting with my husband and my friend that it was embarrassing. The curtains also dont block the incoming lights from cars and you can see them on the ceiling at night. They mixed up the check in for my initial stay, and then I had to check in a second time for my extra night. I asked for paddles to play ping pong around 10p, but could not because of potential noise complaints, yet there was music playing in the outdoor area near the table. Additionally, I tried asking to use one of the bikes they have, but because I was checked out, I was told that I could not use it because it is for “guests only”. Its a fine hotel. Location is on El Camino and right next to highway 85. It is a little confusing getting here on 85S - check the directions. Theres no restaurant onsite but it is well covered by food delivery services. The main downside for me is that you can hear street noise and the room didnt have dark curtains, so there was some light coming in at night. The hotel did provide an eye mask and earplugs (like on planes), but those dont work too well for me unfortunately.

I give one star due to various reasons. Our stay at Zico this past weekend has been one of the worst hotel stays and vacation till date. Firstly I should say never stay at Zico with a baby (infant). We told Brita twice and called the hotel in the morning, to keep a crib in the room and they never did when we arrived. We arrived at 9:00 PM just to let you guys know. Also when I called Brita inquiring why the crib was still not there, she replied very rudely over the phone. She came to our room and just pushed the crib through the door and told us to arrange & place the crib by ourselves. Frankly speaking it was a difficult task as the room was so much, it was really difficult to squeeze the crib in between. We thought of booking Sheraton, but insisted my husband to book Zico just to have an unique experience. But it was close to none. Secondly, the fridge was not working and the guy at front-desk was extremely good unlike Brita. He came at 12:00 AM at night and smilingly changed the fridge for us. The AC was too noisy and the bathroom at roaches as well. Oh well! the sink tap was always dripping. So you know it was not only one of the worst customer service from Brita but also the rooms were not good. Please dont think we have not traveled with our baby earlier, we love to travel and have traveled quite a lot and mostly stayed in the hotel chains. So, i would like to say to the management of Hotel Zico, get your customer service lady fixed.

Great place to stay if you’re heading to the shoreline. Service is good too Brit’s provided a lot info for the surrounding area and Laura cooked our breakfast eggs really well. The bacon needs work though.

Ok first off, while I didnt interact a bunch with the night staff, the day staff was really great. From the housekeeping to the front desk to the kitchen the people were all wonderful. Great job hiring. Now for the two stars... Where to begin: the towers in the parking lot you can literally hear buzzing even in your room if you open the windows and are on that side of the building? The slip on shower stall that screams, there was definitely a series of high profile crimes in the bathroom? The over the top sink situation? The fridge in the closet that doesnt allow the old school sliding doors to function perfectly? The luggage rack that doesnt fit in the closet? The gap between the bathroom sink and the wall big enough to drop everything important into and small enough to never be able to get it out? The super luxe looking photos across the web that just barely match the reality? The over the top waterfall in the lobby? Its all just... The little hotel that could. They seem to try to be swanky (and charge for it) but never quite pull it off in literally any way. Best part beyond the staff is the always on free beverage station at the front. Sorry Ziko, but yeah.

Ive stayed at this hotel before and thought it was ok but this time, I was pretty disappointed. I stay at this hotel for work. In this situation, I care mostly about good Internet (so I can work) and the ability to sleep well. This time however:- WiFi was almost unusable: the laptop and phone connected fine to a high strength signal, but the actual access to the Internet would constantly come and go; I asked reception who said it was a general problem in hotels nearby - I asked a few colleagues who were staying at nearby hotels and they did not have such problems;- I was on the first floor for the first time, and I could hear every single foot step from the person above; I mentioned it to reception at check out who agreed with me that it was annoying- to top it up, when I came back late at night ready to go to bed, they had turned on air conditioning at max fan speed and 60°F! - so my room was basically a giant fridge - took me a while to warm it up again - I also mentioned it to reception who had no explanation (I didnt expect they would)

As someone who needs to get around here by bicycle, I really liked Hotel Zico. I was allowed to keep my bicycle in the room (and the room was definitely big enough to keep it there), and the hotel parking is directly connected to Stevens Creek Trail! The free Internet access is pretty good too.Only problem was very thin walls together with neighbours having loud conversations at 3:30 at night. On the plus side, front desk was helpful and understanding when I complained about it, and indeed made it stop.

Probably one of the best value hotels around the area. A very good and relatively affordable place to stay for business travelers. I like the fact that its cheap, has free fast Internet, breakfast and is centrally located. Its also next to Stevens Creek trail which is great for morning runs and cycling!

Room was well decorated, had a decent sized TV, plenty of plugs around the room, and was fairly quiet (I was on the side opposite the freeway). The bed is rather hard and was difficult for me to sleep on. Ended up folding the comforter such that two layers were below me and one was above and was able to sleep fairly well after that. Wifi continuously had trouble keeping me connected and kept asking for the password every ~12 hours which would kick me off my vpns. Internet sped was ~2-3 Mbps down and up each time I tested. Staff was very nice and welcoming greeting me each time I arrived or left and had spare silverware on hand when a restaurant didnt provide me some saving me from having to run out to get some.

Generally the hotel is ok, but there are small things that add up to a mediocre experience. The wifi is spotty with poor latency and dropped connections so the ssh is hard to use. The room lacks easily accessible outlets so that I have to crawl under furniture to plug in chargers. My door doesnt close well. It has no pool. The bathroom is a bit small with overhead lights that cast shadows on my face then I look in the mirror. Nothing terrible, but nothing that impresses me. Id stay here if other hotels are all booked, but it certainly wont be my first choice.

For the price we paid this hotel exceeded our expectations.We stayed here on our first night of a road trip around ca after an 11hour flight.The staff were very welcoming, the room large airy and clean and breakfast was good compared to others we had.There were very limited food options near by.

The place looks nice online, however the building itself is rather poor. The walls were so thin I could here the quiet conversation next door and anyone outside in the hall way. I made a complaint to the night staff but they claimed that they couldnt do anything. Id recommend looking elsewhere if your looking for a good night of sleep.

Good hotel for the money. Not the fanciest but clean. Rooms are usual size with high speed internet. Tv channels arent great but do have flat screen. Color scheme of hotel is interesting, going for a Mediterranean look.Breakfasts is the best Ive seen for being included in the price. Made to order omlets, eggs pancakes sausage bacon and the usual drinks.Location isnt bad. Its off the highway so some rooms may be noisy. The extended stay hotel is behind it.I would stay here again.

Terrible terrible terrible customer service. The website booked for the wrong date and even though I called immediately they refused to change it. They are unprofessional, care nothing about you as a customer and will take your time and money and run at the first opportunity. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere more reputable to stay.

Its at a great location between 237 and El Camino Real. Thanks rooms are clean and well stocked. Mine didnt have good natural lighting. They have wine and cheese in the evening and free breakfast. I havent tried any.

I don’t get what the fuss is about - breakfast was super good and staff were nice but the hotel is next to a LOUD highway, there was a dude buying pills out of a car in front of the hotel when we checked in, the room decorations are like half finished, the elevator smells kind of weird . . . All in a all it’s just an avaerage hotel. Booked in advance and price was super reasonable. You get what you pay for!

If you are lucky enough to get the downstairs suites they are Greek themed as pictured, they are small but so worth it. Honestly the location is not that mind blowing but the hotel itself makes up for that. Also awesome parking underneath, fire pit out back, great staff

I stayed here a night by myself and it was pretty good but then when I broght my girl to stay a few nights the vibe had changed and it was just not as a pleasent stay. With covid and things being shut down you would think people working in the service industry would be more sympathetic but not the case here. And Raul will not ever be lenient if you need a late check out so do not even ask.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Very clean, friendly staff and up to date with the latest technology. You can order extra amenities from the tablet they provide in your room and have them delivered right to your door. Not to mention the rates were great. I will stay here again.

This is a clean, modern business hotel, but it is quite close to the highway and the traffic can be pretty loud. The rooms are basic. The bathroom sink is some space age contraption that doesnt actually make a steam of water or shut off completely.

Most disgusting experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been to dozens of hotels ranging from all stars and places, and I have never seen a manager like this. Ricardo was the rudest and most disrespectful desk attendant I have ever met, and on top of that he was the manager and one in lead.I’ve never seen a manager prioritize their feeling of pride over their work and hospitality. I’m astounded and shocked that this hotel is being run by a manager like this. If you do not wanna get “cancelled” upon arrival, if you do not wanna get yelled at and told you don’t belong, don’t book with Hotel Zico, and especially not with Ricardo as their manager.

This place was pretty awesome in a sense of cleanliness, friendly staff, affordable and good accomodations, rooms are not out dated or appear to be *no smells when I walked in. There are amenities in the room from toiletrys not your typical cheap bars of soap and you dont have to pay for water bottles 2 included / Kurig machine. I needed a place to stay over night and Hotel Zico was just perfect. It accessible if you need to get on the freeway, close to places to eat (In & Out for you burger people!) Overall I was very satisfied with my stay and will definitely be back again.

Hotel is archetypally Californian. Facilities were okay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is pretty decent, and they have wine at the front desk in the evenings. Very pleasant stay overall.
