Loved our stay here! Price was amazing for what you get. It is a charming house, bed were quite comfortable, clean bathrooms. We felt very comfortable here. Check in was very easy (self check in) and we were able to check in late once we got to Napa valley.Breakfast was the real deal! 10/10. We would stay here again becusee the delicious home cooked breakfasts. Every morning we arrived downstairs and they delivered our food within 5 minutes. You can’t get this good of a meal at any continental hotel or pay less than $15 for it elsewhere. So good, balanced, healthy.Hosts were very welcoming and helped us ship back our wine as well.And lastly the location was great. Within walking distance so so many great shops and restaurants in downtown Napa (about a 10 min walk). We felt very safe here.Also they had ample parking if you have a car.Overall so glad we picked this spot!

I booked a night at this hotel for my husband and I to have our first night away from the kids in years. Unfortunately, on the morning of our intended stay, I woke up with a severe case of the flu. I immediately called the hotel. An individual at the hotel concierge desk told me I sounded terrible and that the hotel would happily refund our stay due to medical reasons. I had not even asked for a full refund but merely asked if we could postpone to another night. Needless to say, I just received a blanket email stating that the hotel would not refund any amount due to their cancellation policy. While I understand the cancellation policy and the difficulty in handling last minute cancellations, I would think that a hotel would not want a sick person infecting other guests and would see the bigger picture. I would have happily stayed at the hotel again. In fact, I have a large family group visiting in the fall and was hoping to have everyone stay at their hotel. Not now. The money will go elsewhere.

Amazing experience staying here at Hotel Napa Valley for my wife and Is anniversary weekend! The room was amazing and very luxurious. The breakfast was fantastic. The amenities were a nice touch and brought the experience to another level. Dolly was very friendly, helpful, and kind. She made our trip a lot more enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again! I cant recommend this place enough!.

Small rooms in the main building on Polk Street, mostly filled by a queen size bed, not even space for a chair (these are old dorm rooms). Air conditioner high on the wall, while it was turned on low I could not feel any cold air coming from it.

We stayed in one of their cottages. Super cozy and close to downtown napa. I would suggest this place if you were staying with a bunch of friends to share the cottage space. 4 rooms to 1 cottage. Highly suggest and the people working there were very nice.

My wife and I stayed here as we wanted a quiet and relaxing weekend. Self Check-In as well as secured deadbolt room locks was a nice upgrade. We had a small fireplace in our room and when it rained all day during our stay on one of the days it was quite romantic to stay in bed cozied up by the fire, with our complimentary bottle of wine. The location is in the middle of a quiet neighborhood, not even dogs barking, but close and within walking distance is the downtown with restaurants and shops. The hotel Manager Dolly was so sweet and always had a nice smile and was very helpful, she recommended places to visit and even helped my wife when she forgot her cell phone in the bathroom, Dolly immediately reached out to us! Talk about integrity, rare in our society. The complementary breakfast was handmade and delicious. Every part of our visit felt personal and made our stay memorable and special. We will definitely be back!

Might be the best place that we have ever stayed at! I have been to Ritz Carlton’s and Four Seasons and as fine as they were - they just didn’t make us feel as good as Dolly and her team at Hotel Napa Valley. The breakfasts here are incredible!!

Self checkin is convenient. The room itself is cozy and the bathroom is very spacious. The air-conditioner is quite, unlike most of the other hotel air-conditioner. However, the wall is so thin that we can hear the noise from the other room at night... its also next to the road so the noise from the car engine is loud.On the other hand, the breakfast was fresh and delicious.

A good nice little antique bed and breakfast hotel. A small disappointment is the bed sheet has a blood stains on it. The best part is the staff reacted very quickly by replacing the sheet. The breakfast is great with burrito and muffin. The muffin is so good.A hint: make sure to have email, text service or phone service available for check-in and contact. These are the options for staff contact. If you do not have any of these, you may face some challenges to check in.

I booked a last-minute reservation around 9pm through Hotwire. Upon arriving, the front door was locked and a note was posted to the door saying that if a guest is to check in after 6pm, call the below number. Ive never seen a hotel only allow walk in check ins for only three hours a day, but regardless I call their number and get no answer. After waiting outside for about half an hour I decide to just stay at another hotel.The next day, I call the hotel during their check in hours and explain the situation. I am called a liar, told that I never showed up (despite my time and location stamped photo) and refused a refund. I then file a credit card charge back, they tell the credit card company the same thing, and the credit card company says theres nothing they can do. I am now in the process of having a demand letter drafted and sent to the hotels parent company, and assuming they keep their oddly aggressive strategy in place and deny the demand, Ill have to file a suit in small claims court.This is all over $320.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Location is one of the best, just a few blocks from downtown Napa. Breakfast both days was high quality and plenty of choices. Would definitely stay again. Plenty of free parking on site.

A lovely hotel! Room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, pillows soft, and the bathroom was quite large! In such a convenient location - walking distance to downtown Napa and lots of restaurant and wine show rooms. You are mostly a 10-15 minute drive from most vineyard. Plenty of parking. Room was super clean. Electronic keypads so you don’t need to worry about carrying a key. Can’t ask for much else!

Runner was our guy there. He runs a tight ship. Breakfast was superb everyday. Put on a few lbs. because of the Belgian waffles! Beautiful atmosphere. Breakfast only everyday!! Built in 1874 it has that old time charm, air in each units, stayed above the front door. Electric security locks-no room key+++. Only one draw back...if your on the 2nd floor, no elevator! Will definitely re-visit!!!

Very nice B&B. Check in was easy, and keyless. There is a code for the main door and a code for your room. There were snacks placed out, coffee, and tea. Breakfast was great, with attention to detail. The room was clean, a little small but adequate. They make the bed and service the room every day. Parking is easy in the back of the building. Located about 3 blocks from downtown, this is a great location.We will be coming back again.

They have apples and chocolates placed outside in the hall way which sometimes is the best ending to a long day of tastings. We loved being able to walk to all the locations. I’m a bit disappointed with the stay here due to a lack of service. I did not experience any old-world charm and hospitality or frankly, any new-world either though I had high expectations from the other reviews.The only time I ever even saw the Innkeeper was at breakfast where the communication was strictly limited to three words: “party of two?”. The complimentary breakfast was nice however it didn’t play a pivotal roll in my stay. I’d rather have to pay for breakfast and experience great hospitality. There was nothing to set it apart from a chain hotel and for this reason, I wouldn’t go back or recommend it.The safety of the Inn is a bit worrisome as you use the same password to enter the main house, your separate lodgings/cottage, AND your room. Hence, its easy for potential intruders to break in even with the signage on the doors that say dont open the doors for strangers, all patrons have a key code. It ended up being ok but it’s worth noting for those who wish for more secure lodgings.

I loved my stay at Hotel Napa Valley (about 3 months ago). As others have mentioned, it feels like a bed and breakfast more than a corporate hotel. The buildings/rooms are historic and beautiful, clean and well kept. There was plenty of off-street parking. The customer service was above and beyond (I think I worked with Jennifer, but its been too long to remember for sure) and I was upgraded to a large king room with a big bathroom complete with separate shower and tub. Im not sure if anyone was in the rooms around me - if so, I could not hear them. The hotel was well appointed and I really loved the single-cup French press coffee makers - the little things make a difference! Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend.

Great location for walking downtown. The room we had was only a room with a bathroom. The fridge and coffee machine is communal among a few rooms. If you are looking for a hotel-like room, this is not it. I liked the room and dont mind sharing a fridge. Lovely old house with a good breakfast. Met some people who have been to kc where I am from. It was great to meet new people.

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon. The hotel is an old house. So the rooms fit that decor. I enjoyed the wood floors that creek and the subway tile in the bathroom. If you like sleek and modern this is not for you. We had a fireplace in our room. It was very spacious both room and bathroom.There was no contact check in which is super helpful. They text you a door code for the front and back door and your room code and room number. There is a nice parking area but the quiet street also has plenty of parkingThe breakfasts were very good. Two days we had egg casseroles and one day Belgian waffles. There was also coffee and french presses in the lobby. There is a community fridge and microwave in the lobby as well. The fridge also has waters and sodas for purchase in an honor bar setupThe staff interaction was very limited because of no contact check in. The man serving breakfast was extremely nice. He was the only staff we saw.The have a library of DVDs you can borrow to watch in your room. Our bathroom room had a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The water pressure is not great but again this is an older building. You are going for ambiance. In our night stand drawer there was a book of guest experiences and everyone seemed to be happy with the Hotel. I wished I could give them 6 stars. Our stay was exceptional.

Just a lovely hotel has so much charm. Truly enjoyed the sitting rooms and the breakfast was amazing. The location is fantastic, it is a two block walk to downtown Napa with all the shops and nightlife. Knocked it a star as you cannot connect any device to the TV and while the TV does has a DVD connected to it, for the life of us we could not figure out how to make it work, we eventually gave up.

The room was also clean and we didnt have any issues with the bathroom.Cons: walls are a little thin. We stayed on the first floor near the common area - didnt hear anything during the night, but during the day we definitely heard anyone talking outside of the room. Didnt bother us but def could be a problem for some.

My wife and I really liked this place. The room was small, but thats really our only complaint. We were on the second floor and I dont think I would have liked it as much if we were on the first floor. Its an old building (but well maintained) so noise isolation isnt the best. That said, we really couldnt hear any other guests from inside our room, just sometimes steps outside in the hallway. The provided breakfasts were very good. We liked that we didnt have to sit at a communal table. There is a room with a bunch of smaller tables setup for seating. Location was good. Close to downtown Napa. We walked down there our first night and had dinner / hit up some tasting rooms. Overall, a great little B&B with fair prices to match.

The location is excellent, but the price is too high for what it is. Just a Bed and Breakfast. Make sure off you book it is because you are paying that location premium but dont expect an experience to match the price.We stayed in one of the small rooms, we knew it when we booked it so it was OK, but defintely worth considering depending your preferences.To management just a few recommendations to improve the very small room: make that would make it more functional and improve the guest experience: hooks for towels in the bathroom, an extra shelf on the bathroom where more cosmetic items can be placed, shower button does not work properly, an open closet or a shelf on the wall by the door would allow for guests to still have a suitcase open during the stay.

This was a very comfortable 3-star hotel with a great location. Maybe the best value in the area. The building is older and the rooms are smaller so I would not recommend for kids or for people who plan to spend a lot of time at the hotel (but this is Napa so why would you).

Quaint historic hotel in the middle of Napa. Conveniently situated to everything. We stayed in room 11. Bed is very uncomfortable and the room is super small. Bathroom small as well. The photos make it look a lot bigger. There is not much room to put luggage. No chair to sit on. The breakfast is included in the basement area. It was ok. We didn’t see anyone on site managing only kitchen staff.

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint bed and breakfast. It is a beautiful historic home. The rooms are small by modern standards but have interesting touches like gas fireplaces in the rooms. Our room even had a patio! The breakfast is delicious. The staff are absolutely wonderful. The location is close to downtown so we walked to dinner after a day of wine tastings.

Charming Inn in the heart of Napa. Within walking distance to restaurants, shops & the Oxbow Market(10-15 minute walk). We had a large room with a huge bathroom which had a walk in shower & a hot tub. Make sure to take advantage of their breakfasts in the basement! Super cozy and romantic breakfast room- doesnt look like a basement at all! Not a continental breakfast either- We had Belgium waffles one day, the next was a breakfast quiche, really tasty! Theres also coffee & water in the lobby(although the Inn is in an old 1800s house so its not really a lobby). Will stay here again next time were back in town.

I wish there was a 10 star review. This is my first time at a bed and breakfast and it was the best. Dolly the manager was amazing since day 1. She has the best hospitality and is super friendly. I checked in here because I was having surgery. I read only 1 bad review that said there was an odor and the guy got a cough. I have really bad allergies and I cannot stand things not clean or a bad odor. I am OCD that way. This place was super clean I look around the bathroom in cracks to see how well they clean and for soap scum in the bathtub and it was amazingly bright and shiny. I literally bring my own sanitizing wipes and it did not need it. The beds were soft and super comfortable they give you extra pillows which really helped my knee after surgery. There was a super efficient and cozy fire place in the room which was not just for looks it actually produced really good heat. Dolly knew I just had surgery and she brought us waffles to our room the next day. The first day breakfast was something which did not sound appealing to me so she asked if I would like a parfait and it was amazing. She hand made it. I hate taking the time to write reviews but I had to because this place is awesome and they have the best staff I have ever encountered.

Teeny tiny small bed. 4 nights of little sleep because of lack of bed space made us grumpy and tired wine tasters. I wouldn’t stay here if you value sleep, you’re tall or like to roll around in your sleep.Close to the high street and Oxbow market, it made for a quick walk to get food or beverages.We enjoyed the communal living room area where we could get water, ice, tea and sit to reflect on the day and enjoy the quiet. Breakfast is simple, toast, butter, jams or marmalade, coffee, water, orange juice is available everyday, and an egg dish (soufflé or Chile rellana) or waffle with croissant, fruit or muffin varies daily.Wouldn’t stay here again because of the small bed.

Our recent visit was a bit disappointing in that the room was extremely small, the bed was too soft and the sheets were like sand paper. We were there on a weekend for a wedding in the area. For the price, we expected to at least have soft sheets. Sadly, the rough sheets made for a poor nights sleep for both of us and negatively affected our view of the hotel. Apart from that, the location was good, the staff was very friendly and service oriented, there is onsite parking and the breakfast was good. We wont stay there again, however, and hopefully this info is helpful to improve the quality of stay for others.

Had a comfortable stay here. The front desk clerks were immeasurably helpful. They gave us suggestions on wineries, and directed us to good restaurants. They gave us vouchers for each winery and restaurant, and had offers for car services for full day tours.We decided to use Uber (was much cheaper), but if the price doesnt bother you it seems like a great service.The bathtub was excellent, very large and nice to relax in after a day of tours. They had multiple free wine offerings each day from different local vineyards.The only drawback is that this place, while meant to be old-fashioned, was a little run down. Our shower and tub nozzles fell off multiple times, and the window was not at all soundproof. We could also hear people walking past without effort.Overall enjoyed the experience.

Cute hotel. We stayed in one of the cottages behind the hotel. These were comfortable with lots of common space. The front desk is not consistently staffed so you may need summon someone by phone for service but that didnt always work - phone went to voice mail. Free breakfast is served in the basement which is inexplicably decorated with rusty hand tools so it has a torture chamber ambiance. Fortunately there are many good breakfast restaurants in walking distance.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at! I was woke up at 6 by loud noises and talking outside room and that continued for hours. You can hear people in other rooms, in the hallway, the staff vacuuming and playing music comes through your door. The pillows are unusable. Rooms are small and noisy. Can hear the electricity buzzing loudly through the lights. I feel like I just spent a night in a run down frat house. I left the hotel feeling completely restless and upset and unprepared for the day ahead. I will never stay here again and will advise the same to anyone I know coming to town.Avoid this place at all costs!!!

Host, Angie, was extremely helpful and knew everything about the area. She hooked up with discounts with local restaurants and wineries. They had a wine tasting on premise as well. Beds were super comfortable. The only issue with the room was that the shower head had a leak at the joint that would spray the unprotected wall so we had to use the tub, but otherwise good.

A stunning hotel with historic charm but all of the current amenities and very well taken care of. Big enough to have some anonymity but small enough to feel like the staff was hosting you in their home. The breakfasts were delicious and included and the location is about a 10 minute walk from most of downtown Napa. If we return to Napa, this is where well stay. Highly recommend!

Charming B&B. Very well run. They had a complementary wine reception with 3 local wines to try on the Saturday we arrived. Breakfast was fabulous both mornings, served hot and individually plated. They offer french press self serve coffee along with regular drip. The location makes it easy to walk to local restaurants or a short Uber. Parking behind the hotel was ample. We stayed one evening in the Acqua room and it was fantastic. We generally dont stay at places this expensive for just one night, but it was a special occasion and absolutely worth it. Dolly, who checked us in, was so nice and helpful. The hotel had great ambience; it really felt like an old Victorian house. The breakfast room was so cute and the sitting rooms were welcoming. The breakfast was delicious (spinach fetus souffle, berry muffin & fruit) and the evening snacks (cookies & brownies) were a nice touch; they also provided free water bottles and coffee. The room was spacious, clean and elegant. The decor was classy (framed pencil & charcoal sketches) with heavy wood furniture and big rugs on the old wood floors. There was lots of available storage (two dressers & a large closet) and the fireplace was lovely. It was so nice to have amenities like a standing fan, ironing board, iron, hair dryer and bathroom supplies. The bathroom was huge & Victorian-feeling with a large sink, shower and beautiful (gigantic!) jetted tub. The Acqua room in the main house had a window that faced the parking lot, but the view was completely obscured by a tall and beautiful pine. This place was completely worth it and we will definitely be back again.

Staff was fine and location was good but the picture on their website may not be where you stay, they have two less attractive buildings in the back and separate from the main house facilities. Room was incredibly small. When we went to get a shower was when we found out there was no running water. After they got it turned back on we showered in brown water.

Stayed one night in December 2017. Rooms are extremely tiny but parking seemed safe, bed was not uncomfortable, DVD options were fun. Very welcoming, liked the welcome wine reception (i thought there would be better options but only one white, one red wine), and loooved breakfast (wish we had more time to enjoy... had to rush out for wine class appt). It was a bit hot and couldnt leave window open bc no screen on window. Would stay again if we could get the same deal.Photos are of the wine reception at 530pm, breakfast served until 10am.

This is now our favorite place to stay in Napa hands down. Rune was the best the entire stay from the second we checked in until leaving. ( Give this man a raise) The room was perfect, the tub was my dream tub, the wine tasting was fun and breakfast was delious. We come down from Auburn often for medical appointments and this is where we will stay from now on. Rune go play the lottery once and we will too. :)

This is a wonderful Hotel. It was originally a home finished about 1900 and retains all of that ambience including a wall mounted fireplace in the room. This hotel was nice, but super disappointed with the size of the room. It only had space for a queen size bed and side tables. No room or space for a chair to sit on. The ceiling fan was on, but made a ton of noise. Everything was clean.

We werent given the room we booked, so Im not sure if our experience would have been different. The room we stayed in was very small and the bathroom wasnt ideal, I would suggest some work to be done for more customer convenience. Breakfast was delicious, but in a dark dungeonesque room... take advantage of the wine socials in the evening, and the lo CDC action was ideal for driving north through napa in the day and downtown napa at night.

Very friendly service and not far from downtown Napa...which is not where the grape vines are but still a good location for touring if you have a vehicle. Theres a great loop of wine touring that Id recommend from this location which includes:Touched Vineyards, Domaine Carneros, (stop at Sonoma Botanical, St. Francis Winery, Ledson Winery, Castello di Amorosa, Del Dotto Estate, and then Monticello Vineyards.The whole loop takes 2 hours of driving but with all the stops its an entire day.There are lots of other great Winerys on this loop but these are just some of the 5-star ones.I added a screenshot from Google Maps to show the loop we did.

So its a Sunday night, after a really long day at Lake Berryessa with my kids who live in Yountville, I just couldnt take the ride home back to the South Bay,... and here I stumbled Upon A Slice of perfection! A fire pit outside the most amazing cute little room Cottages that I could never explain how perfect and amazing they are!!
