We had the best experience with Honored Occasions. Tony was our wedding DJ, we also communicated with Steve throughout the process, and both exceeded our expectations. Tony knew how to bring the party and get everyone on the dance floor. To top of the night, he surprised us with a special slow dance to a recording of our vows. Definitely recommend this team for all your events!

My wife and I were looking for a wedding DJ that would be able to help blend our two families and two cultures together beautifully. Anthony was our DJ of choice, and from the beginning of the process, he had been a consummate professional, responsive, proactive, and attentive to all our needs and vision. We both also really appreciated his willingness to speak in both English and Spanish in his announcements to cater both to my wifes English speaking family and my Spanish speaking family. I could tell that my family really appreciated being included in that way. Tony was excellent, highly experienced, and knew how to host the entire night. We also had a live band at our wedding, and Tony worked with the band to help make our night special, knowing when to take turns with the band in a very seamless way. When it was his turn, he started off by playing the best latin American songs and that really pumped up everyone on the floor! We had a blast. Overall, I cannot say enough how happy we were with Honored Occasions and Tony. For those of you Spanish speakers that would see a need for a bilingual speaking DJ (but also someone who is awesome at what he does!), Tony is the ABSOLUTE best option. Thank you, Honored Occasions, for making the best day of our lives a memory we will never forget!

We are so glad that we were able to find Honored Occasions, Damon was the DJ and MC for our wedding reception, along with Honored Occasions’ staffed photo booth and it was truly the best experience we could have possibly hoped for. You can tell Damon has a tremendous amount of experience with creating the perfect and engaging environment for the entire event. From the first meeting to the follow-ups and the check ins to the actual big day, Damon and Honored Occasions have been professional, responsive, and skillful in making the planning and experience truly seamless and wonderful. Go with this team, it’ll be the best and easiest decision you can make!!

We worked with Steve from Honored Occasions and we were incredibly happy with him. He was very responsive and helped us craft a perfect day. He worked with us to pick out music that matched us and made the night fun and full of dancing. We had so many complements after the event for Steve. We cannot recommend them enough.

So Honored Occasions knows WHAT’S UP! We went ahead with Steve as our DJ for our wedding in February 2018, and he absolutely killed it! I heard compliments and comments from so many of our guests that said Steve was an amazing DJ. He played great music, and he was so personable and professional during his announcements. Our entire wedding went so smoothly! The whole planning process leading up to our wedding was effortless, due to the online planning portal that Honored Occasions uses. We met with Steve in person twice prior to our wedding and I can honestly say it was 100% stress free, and just straight up fun. This company has so much to offer for your special events, the possibilities are endless. We are so happy that we went with Honored Occasions as our DJ, and we will recommend Steve to everyone! My husband and I could not speak more highly of the Honored Occasions team! We had such a pleasure working with Steve Shanahan (at the outset of the planning stages) and Anthony DJ Tony Hernandez (both during planning and as our DJ day-of).Steve was wonderful in helping us make sense of the planning process despite us being out of state, and he never made us feel like we were left hanging as we were making the big-picture decisions. DJ Tony was incredibly accommodating with our schedules (and location), answered all of our many, many questions, and was an absolute blast during the wedding. Our guests are still raving about how much they loved the music and about the fact that there were so many people out on the dance floor throughout the night. I am also very thankful that DJ Tony was able to incorporate some cultural Ukrainian music into our wedding day. He made a great suggestion to keep in mind some additional Ukrainian songs in case anyone made requests after the first one he played, and this certainly came in handy!Overall, we are so happy that we got the chance to work with such a talented DJ and such an amazing team. DJ Tony was absolutely amazing to work with on my daughters Quince plus 1 birthday party! He was very patient with our ideas and offered solutions and options to maximize our event! Tony was so easy to work with prepping for the big event. He arrived at the venue well in advance and worked seamlessly with the venue staff throughout the night. Tony Mc’d the night and then crushed it with a non stop party set that kept the dance floor packed and dancing all night! We had an absolute amazing time working with DJ Tony, Steve and Honored Occasions and would highly recommend them for any event.

My husband and I had an intimate small wedding, but we knew we wanted to have good music. We both believe that is the key to wedding guests truly letting loose and enjoying themselves. Its been a month since our wedding and people are still talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor. Steve sat down with us a few times to get an idea of what we want and envision for our wedding. He was EXTREMELY organized and very professional. My husband and I both have careers that revolve around excellent customer service, so we pay careful attention to details and who we select to work with. Steves service to us was top notch.As a bride, I planned my whole wedding and I know first hand how tough it can be to find good quality vendors for your wedding. We had a small budget, but you MUST spend your money where it counts and your DJ is one of them! Honored Occasions was not the most expensive and he definitely was not the cheapest, BUT after a consultation with him and other DJ/MCs we knew he was the ONLY option for us. Our first impression with Steve was everlasting and we are so happy that we selected him to service our wedding. I would highly recommend Honored Occasions.

Honored Occasions is tremendous! We hired Honored Occasions for my wedding and DJ Tony did an excellent job. He was very professional, fun, and kept everything on track. I highly recommend using Honored Occasions. There is a large difference between using them and using an average DJ.What my wife and I liked the most is that DJ Tony took the time to get to know us as a couple and it truly showed during the event. It was like having a friend in charge of the whole event.

Steve was very easy to work with and made the music planning process very easy and fun. Steve helped us make our wedding feel personalized and memorable. Every interaction I had with Steve and Ryan at Honored Occasions was courteous, friendly, and personable. They were prompt to respond to phone calls and emails as I was planning my event. They even provided an event planner/tracker where you can choose songs and set up a timeline of the event. I have never experienced such exemplary service and genuine care for me, my event, and my guests. Above all the personalized and prompt service, they were FUN! Ryan did a phenomenal job picking up on the vibe of my party and ensuring that the music choices matched. It was like I was standing with him, picking each song, but I didnt have to lift a finger! The folks at Honored Occasions just get it and you can tell they are pros at all things party! A million thank yous!

Steve was our DJ/MC and he is SO FANTASTIC. All the technical stuff were flawless, he played really fun music and can really read the crowd and got everyone singing and dancing. The remixes were also sick (for those who arent from here.. it means extremely cool lol). Throughout the planning process, Ive made several changes and Steve was so patient with me from the start to end. We really could not have asked for a better DJ/MC. Thank you for everything Steve!

My husband and I cannot praise Honored Occasions highly enough. When we started our wedding planning process, we had little idea of how to go about finding the right DJ for us. All we knew was that we wanted someone AMAZING. Boy, did we get that! The incredible Steve Shanahan walked us through the entire process: first phone call to post-wedding follow through. Through thoughtful, detailed, and guiding questions, Steve helped us iron out our own vision of a perfect day. He was incredibly easy to work with, shared tons of great advice from years of experience, and was all-around the perfect DJ/Emcee for us! His attention to detail and personal touches throughout the evening were so meaningful. EVERY song was masterfully chosen and timed, and every name was pronounced perfectly. No detail was unaccounted for. The night flowed as flawlessly as if it had been rehearsed a million times, and yet it felt spontaneous, in-the-moment, and real! We truly couldn’t believe how much fun our guests were having--and it was all thanks to Steve’s ability to read a crowd. He is a genius, unendingly kind, and professional to the end; I could go on and on! In hindsight, having Honored Occasions be a part of our wedding day was the most valuable vendor decision we made. Do yourself the same favor we did! You will not regret it.

Steve is the best. He walked my wife and I throughly the whole process. Steve has a ton of experience; he was able to give great suggestions when we needed help with planning. Steve’s music software is extremely easy and intuitive to use and makes selecting songs a breeze. The lighting Steve did have the ballroom a whole new look and the monogram looked awesome on the dance floor. Thanks again Steve!

We had our wedding reception at The Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica and without Honored Occasions we may have had a very short wedding reception. Windy weather was a huge challenge the night of our reception, so Steve and Ryan were swift and helped move our reception inside in less than 25 minutes - A/V, dance floor, lighting - everything!Our guests rave about how beautiful our reception was lit up and more importantly how fun our dance party was! We owe it to Steve and Ryan for everything they did to make our reception absolutely perfect! If youre looking to have an amazing wedding, including Steve, Ryan and Honored Occasions in your big day is smarter than buying wedding insurance, it is assurance that your day will be the best day ever!

The Honored Occasions team is awesome and so talented. They also very much care about your vision for your wedding day and every detail. We booked them for their lighting expertise and boy did they deliver. They transformed our ballroom with their pinspots. They highlighted our sweetheart table, cake table, dessert and other feature areas of the room. They made our event so elegant and the photos are amazing.They are a joy to work with as they are easily reached and communicated with us through out the whole planning process.

From the initial contact and discussing the event, pricing, etc, to the day of the event, both Steve and Ryan were amazing. The music and lights were perfect for our corporate event and the dance floor was packed the entire night. Ryan also made our awards ceremony so much fun with his music clips that worked so well with our theme. We will definitely look to them for the next time!!

If I could give this guy one star I really would. UNPROFESSIONAL.Half his stuff was outdated and pirated. He was rude beyond belief and did not take care of business was also hard to keep in contact with and messed up my sisters first dance song. Please invest your money somewhere else and not with this garbage excuse for a dj
