Miguel Angel was amazing! We came in almost to closing time yet, he still was willing to test drive cars with us and check any numbers we needed. We came in looking for a car but were not sure what yet so he made sure we had every option. He stayed with us up until 10pm making sure we left with a great deal and met all the requirements we wanted! I really enjoyed how professional he was and how attentive to detail he was. I was recently involved in an accident that totaled my ‘03 Accord. I was in a time crunch to find a new car, but my busy schedule made it difficult. My parents, who live here in Santa Maria, decided to help with the search and found me the perfect car at Honda. Matthew Dela Cruz went above and beyond to work with my parents, and then communicate with me on financing. He and his team at the dealership worked with all of us to secure the perfect Accord for me, until I could come to town and see it myself. The car itself was perfect, and Matthew was the perfect salesman. Within 90 minutes, Matthew and Angel Salazar had me on my way with my ‘21 Accord. This was my first time buying a car at a dealership, and let me tell you, they made it one I will never forget. Read everything and observe well!From a personal experience, the salesmen and their customer service here are great & the cleanliness of the dealership is immaculate. As far as management, I would give below a 1. These fools think that people don’t know numbers and can’t spot their scamming strategies. Please, for the sake of God, if you know nothing about purchasing a vehicle take someone that knows what they are doing because if you go into that dealership not knowing what you’re doing, they will literally take every sort of advantage of you possible! Do not and I mean DO NOT pay over MSRP & any dealer’s markups either! Plenty of other dealerships out there that are willing to work with you! One last thing for Jason, if Honda isn’t paying you enough to eat supposedly, you should definitely search for a different job!

I went to Honda after a family member shared their car buying experience with me. She told me go and specifically told me “Ask for Rico” Let me tell you guys I am so glad I did. Rico was amazing and his customer service was top tier. He knew what my situation was and I did not feel pressured to buy. I had visited other dealerships and I just felt like they didn’t really care and were just trying to make a sale, but Rico was attentive, answered all my questions and definitely did his best to get me a GREAT deal! Went in for a minor recall issue. I set an appointment and arrived and was able to drive right into the enclosed service center. I spoke with a service advisor within minutes and was told how long to expect it to take. I went to the lounge for coffee and then my wife, who followed me there, and I went across the street to Costco. I got the call that my car was ready, earlier than expected. I picked up the car and was out in just a few minutes. Definitely a nice dealership service experience in a new and very up to date location.

Service department does a horrible job of taking care of their customers. When taking a car in for service, the first time there was an audible noise when the car would go down the road that wasnt there previously. After taking the car back to the service department, they were NOT able to identify any noise and told us there was nothing they could do. The second time, the staff member who scheduled the appointment did it for the wrong day and when the car was finally taken in for service, the technicians left behind this mess. After going back to the service department, it was determined that the technicians didnt bother to change the air filter, even after being assured by the staff member that the complete service was done.Simply unacceptable. Dont take your car to get serviced here.

Our recent purchase of a Honda CRV Hybrid from Honda Santa Maria was the complete opposite of previous car purchases. First, and most important, Matthew listened to us about what we wanted. He helped us explore all our options and encouraged us to test drive each of them. He knew each of the cars we were considering and answered every question we had. In the end, we made the decision without his attempting to influence us. This gave us confidence in our choice. I was in the market for a bit and did my homework for the next car I wanted due to my family expanding. I was greeted by Chris Chen and Jorge S. who is by far very professional and has pretty great people skills least to say. Got a pretty fair and decent deal for going in with negative flop for the trade but was very comprisable since I was getting more car. Had to go back thou to get somethings installed to it since I couldn’t do it that day and the maintenance dept did a little damage to the vehicle but they were able to work there magic and got the matter resolved. Would I purchase another car there again I would but I don’t think I am going to be in the market for a bit but I will send my friends who are looking for a car to this spot.

We live 2 hours away. Was shopping around for a replacement car. Went on AAA website and requested a quote. About 30minutes later a gentleman from the dealership called and was very helpful and answered all of our questions. We explained our situation and they were very helpful. We were able to send all documents through email. The whole process took 2 days due to us being out of town. We were able to drive down there, test drive the vehicle and walk away with the vehicle same day. We highly recommend them. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. And they will do all that they can to help you get a car. Definitely worth the 2 hour drive. Can’t wait to purchase another vehicle from them.

Helped my partners mom buy a used Corolla from Honda Santa Maria yesterday, and I cant recommend Jair Salazar highly enough as a salesman to work with. I almost never leave reviews, but this experience deserved it. We werent able to make it to the dealership until only 25 minutes before they closed, but Jair (and the managers) happily and patiently walked my partners elderly mom through the process even though it resulted in him staying 2.5 hours after closing time! We had test driven Corollas at a couple other dealerships before Santa Maria, but Jair by far did the best job of explaining the car and its features to her. He never rushed us and was as helpful as could be. He didnt push when she declined all the usual extras that are part of a dealer sales pitch, as he could tell she wasnt going for any of that (shes incredibly sharp!). Haha, and he also handled her very persistent haggling well after closing time with patience and a smile even when the final price floor had clearly been reached. We came away feeling very good about the deal we got and the way we were treated throughout the process. She loved driving the car today! Thank you so much to Jair and the sales and finance managers for going above and beyond late on a Saturday night! Haha, sorry for keeping you so late!

So back in January of 2020 I bought a oil change agreement. And what happened next oh yeah a pandemic hit the world stage. Where at 1 point pretty much california stood still. Of course except for essential workers. Along with other things happening in a persons life. And I just forgot about it seeing how I got into doing my own oil changes due to the pandemic. Then going through old paperwork I came across my oil change agreement and when I called I got that it expired. Im like then I should get refunded due to services not rendered. At that point I got sent to the service manager. Which tells me the same thing. I brought up the pandemic. He didnt care. Anything I said didnt matter to him. He explained he was the one who issued me the contract and always goes over the expiration date. No proof but guess thats how he became the manager. Now why would there be an expiration date? Is it based off the rise in wages and materials? Well if thats the case then just refund me since it hadnt been used. Sort of a sense of thievery if you ask me. Sant maria honda did nothing other than take my money and pocketed it. What does this say about what they think of their customers. I mean not willing to work with me at all. Like sorry buddy we just want your money and if we dont have to do anything for it the better off it is. Thats the feeling I got from the arrogance of the service manager. Which caused me to get very upset. But shouldnt I have. They just lobbied me of money that I got zero service for. Hmmm. Now I believe they are part of the hobda company family. Is this how all honda is? I mean I buy a honda make all my payments they made money of sale and interest. Yet for a small amount they are willing to just take. This is why they get 1 star. I will continue this with a call to the better business bureau. The office of business affairs every review I can find toward honda of santa maria and honda corporation. Let everyone I know be known of how they are. Never buy a honda again which Im coming due with over 213 k on my recent car. Looks like toyota or domestic it will be and push for all family and friends to follow suit. No one should be treated like this. And if any of you have been wronged by them in anyway. Let it be known.

If I could put 0 starts I would do that. I bought a 2014 Nissan Sentra from them on July 2021, I bought the extended warranty because the car had a lot of miles on it. They sold me the most expensive insurance they could get their hands on. (The insurance was for a convertible car and I bought a 2014 Nissan Sentra) BUT THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.About three or four months after I bought the car, the transmission started to fail. So I took the car to them and oh surprise; the car needed about $1,000 worth of work which I paid for. Some time after that happened the car failed again AND OH SURPRISE THE CAR NEEDED A WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION. HONDA OF SANTA MARIA DID THE WORK, and now the car is failing again on the same issue that they supposedly fixed.After 18 months I decided that I had it with this car (I suppose they sold it to me knowing it needed a lot of work But i guess they needed to sell a car that day) So I decided that I would sell the car back to HONDA OF SANTA MARIA after all, they sold it to me; they serviced the car 2 times including a whole new transmission and OH SURPRISE, THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED IN PURCHASING THE CAR.The biggest disappointment is that I suppose they sold me the car knowing it needed work. Probably just to meet their sales quota. And now that’s costing me a lot of money. Like I said at the beginning if I could put 0 starts I would do it. I will also create a video and put it everywhere I can hopefully we can save some other customer from this company.

The service was good. They changed my oil for free since it was part of the warranty. The staff was nice. It took awhile to get the second key. The car came with 2 keys when I bought it. I asked again and they had the key available and they gave it to me. That was the only problem I had.

An hour and half later, I found my car just sitting in side lot, un touched. I had to call Honda corporate office to reschedule another appointment to get this issues resolved. Update February 2024: After many attempts to get Honda to do the right thing on their own and to replace our defective vehicle, things are now in the hands of lawyers who we pray can get some type of restitution. Update June 2021: Its pretty clear to us that the Honda Dealership of Santa Maria sold us a Lemon and their attitude of you bought it, you are stuck with it seems to be part of their continued defence strategy. What is very concerning to us beyond their horrid treatment of us, their customer, is that they have refused to give us copies of the work orders and are withholding the paperwork that we would normally get after bringing the car in to get repaired for warranty issues. Nothing! Ive never had this happen in all of the car purchases our family has been involved with over the years. What is going on here. Is Corporate aware of this? Why havent we been listened to or contacted?The only reason I rated this dealership a one, is that there is no zero option. My daughter purchased a $50,000 vehicle from this dealership 9 months ago and they have done everything possible to convince us that the problems that the car has had from day one, are not their fault, and have blamed their workman, the manufacturer, and supervisors that they have fired. The cars body is not in alignment, due to a production failure in the particular model. This has resulted in, among other things in making an awful noise when you raise and lower the tailgate. Something the dealership will not admit to.I am disgusted at the way they have treated my daughter who has other challenges in raising a young family. She researched this vehicle and supposedly bought it because of its dependability, safety and family friendliness. Its almost like the dealership really doesnt care. Im amazed that they have the ratings that they have. I just want them to do right by my daughter. Offering to extend her warranty another year was a buy off, knowing she had no better choice, after the way they treated her.the manufacturer, their supervisors on and on.

This place was a great experience. I went in to get a service done on my Acura and wanted to check out the inventory because I was actually on the market to trade in my old vehicle (KIA). I was referred to Marco Nieto who was really professional and loved what he did. We looked around for a bit but I always had my eye on the 2022 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T. Marco said they had one on the way so we did some paperwork and a couple days later I said goodbye to my old car and left with the New Accord! Every time we’ve had to have service at this location, it has been terrible and a real pain and time waster. We went for a recall and had to go back several more times because they didn’t have the right parts (even though they scheduled us to come back in). We always let them know we’ll wait and they say it will be quick but we’re waiting for hours. This last visit, we went for just an oil change and I had let them know ahead of time my partner would be the one to bring my vehicle in and be waiting. They texted ME, and did not find him in the waiting area, and he was left waiting an extra hour until I saw the text on my phone that the vehicle was done. Customer service every single time has been a joke. Then they text you later after the appointment asking how things went, I reply each time, and they just leave you hanging after. No response, lol

Here is an edit to my original review of this dealership.After making what I thought was a good deal we found out that the sales manager was trying to take some of the additional items that were suppose to come with the new car away from us, this includes the Glass Defense which repairs or replaces your windshield when damaged.They were also trying to take away the Vehicle Theft Registration.These are not items that I would normally buy but allegedly were already installed.After completing the paperwork with the finance guy I did not see any paperwork for these items. I asked the salesman about the paperwork for these items and I was told that the Glass Defense repairs were not going to get done as the dealership took them away. This was never discussed with me after making a deal and shaking hands on it.I spoke to the sales manager the next day and he said it must have been poor communication between him and the salesman.I demanded that I get what we had agreed on and after lots of arguing and more lies from him he said he would call me back. He did called me back and agreed to give me the paperwork for these items.I just wonder how many others have had this happen to them without their knowledge. I am sure that this is a big money maker for them.I originally gave them a great rating thinking that they were honest. But I hate when you are flat out lied to.Please if you are buying a vehicle from this dealership make sure you are getting EVERYTHING you are paying for.

Beware of their service department as I took my accord in for service and requested an oil change and any recommended service. I told the service advisor that I just had my disc brakes pads replaced elsewhere so I dont need any services related to the brakes and he told me that brake fluid replacement isnt done during that kind of service and I would need it done so I agreed. After waiting nearly 6 hours for my car I called to check on the status and only the oil change and coolant replacement had been completed and was starting the brake fluid replacement which at that time told them to stop and I would be picking up my car. I did call the shop who did my brakes and confirmed that they did replace the brake fluid. So much for Honda Certified Technicians who cant tell the difference between clean and dirty brake fluid.

My Honda Pilot had a maintenance done 2 weeks ago. They replaced the windshield. I’m confident they put the factory recommended type. When I was driving during heavy rain, I used the windshield for the first time. I have been in the market for a new car, and had been doing research on new Hondas. I had a few vehicles in mind, and went to a few local dealerships to check them out. In one instance, I walked on and off of a Honda dealership lot, without a salesperson even looking my way. This was not the case at Honda Santa Maria. I was greeted by Johnathan, a senior sales rep. He was friendly and took the time to listen to my ideas about the vehicles I had in mind. He was knowledgeable and well versed in the car I was looking at, and had me on a test drive with no appointment. His job is to sell cars, and he made sure the experience was low pressure. The dealership offered me a variety of finance options, and was ultimately able to get me a deal I was comfortable with. The car is amazing, and I was left with an overall positive feeling about my experience . I would recommend anyone looking for a new Honda to give HSM a shot! So I have a long winded one so hang in there. This is no knock on the sales guy as he has been straight up, but on the dealership on the whole/service/finance. I have purchased 2x cars one in December, one in April. My first purchase I was promised all these things like full service contract for basically the life of the loan (which I felt was a good investment) come to find out, doesnt cover simple things like tire rotations. Needless to say, I can use professional contacts to handle those things now. Now the big one, helped my girl get basically the car of her dreams (minus the color) and it had a few DEALER added options we wouldnt have opted for but alas they wouldnt take them off nor have another like car for who knows how long. With that, she was supposed to have an even more inclusive service plan to cover all maintenance needs including things like tire rotations/filters etc.. Well that was not honored nor even done. I had to battle with them to get what we agreed upon honored and took me multiple times to go in and talk to them to get it fixed, but now she has a much shorter service plan due to them not honoring the first go around. We were told that this vehicle had privacy glass NOT dealer installed tint and come to find out today that this was also a lie when trying to get her windows tinted with a proper tint for north county. Needless to say one must grill them on every little detail to ensure they are not going to pull the wool over your eyes. Cant get management to call back, they also made my misses drive from north county for a fictitious appointment for warranty work, even though they didnt have the part, it was on back order and tried to give me a song and dance before just admitting they effed up. NO offer to help with fuel expense since this was there mess up. Just be aware and really make sure you do your homework before buying cars in SLO or Norther SB counties.

I Bought a used Honda Clarity from a non-Honda dealer in Ventura. There were a few issues, things were being buggy and features that were not working and I was actually becoming concerned that the car may have some larger underlying issues. I took it to Honda Santa Maria, which is close to where I live to have them take a look, fully expecting to pay a few hundred dollars for labor and diagnosis. They ended up doing a factory reset on the cars computer system and that solved all the issues.It wasnt a big deal, but someone took the time to do it and then take the car out and test it. They didnt charge me anything for it, and that was a pleasant surprise. Next time I buy a car, if Honda has a model that suits my needs, Ill definitely consider buying it here.

Found a vehicle, offered to pay via wire transfer within 5 minutes of seeing the car, no test-drive even. (Work vehicle, hard to find in this county). Offered asking-price for a vehicle that hadnt even been cleaned yet because it had just came in. Was shown an out the door price that included laser-etched windows for $500 (Cost $20 to do yourself on Amazon, provides zero value for you as a customer). Said I did not care for this to be added to the car, and was told it was completed the moment they took the car in because they dont have a security gate and their insurance requires it. Called their bluff and asked to see the laser etching....IT DIDNT EXIST! They promptly removed the bogus charge, but I wont support these deceptive, 1980s-style sleazy car tactics. Honda of North America should be ashamed of you. Save yourself the hassles of overpaying for aftermarket markups you dont need and make the drive to Carmax in Oxnard or Bakersfield if you are looking for a used vehicle.

I’m disappointed to say I wasted a lot of time, money, and stress trusting Santa Maria Honda to diagnose a problem with my CPO car over the course of the last 3 months. I took the car there 3 times to have the repeatedly dying car battery diagnosed. I was told each time that there was no parasitic draw. I was even told by one service rep that it’s normal for my car to die within a few days without driving, and that they’ve been telling other customers the same thing. I wasted money on two new batteries in this time period. They even dented my newest battery by re-installing it so poorly and left a stain on my seat and door.Finally I did the parasitic draw test myself and was immediately able to narrow the draw down to fuse 18. The power draw was over ten times the highest acceptable level. I took it to a different dealership today and within hours they had diagnosed the draw. The door handle is pulling a ton of power. This is covered under the CPO warranty and will be replaced for free.I’m disappointed I wasted so much money on batteries, test equipment, and diagnostic fees. I missed out on plans for fear of driving my car after the electronics lacked power to turn back on. Don’t bring your car here. I’m glad this nightmare is ending.

Bad experience with Honda of Santa Maria.They had a used car I wanted. I called and they assured me it was in excellent condition. (Turns out the sales people are at another location and dont know anything about the cars.) I told them I wanted to buy it and to have it ready. When I arrived, the car was NOT ready. It was an electric car and it wasnt charged. so I couldn’t see the full charge range - and I would need to wait for the car to charge to drive it home. The car was also dirty inside. Worst of all, there were many fairly significant scratches on the side that were not visible in the photos and not disclosed in the ad.Then came time for the invoice. Before arriving, I had confirmed that there would be no additional charges. But, there were additional charges, including $499 for a scam etch service. Also, the DMV charges seemed high, so I went on the DMV site which said that I owed $200 less. The registration was also 2 months past due and they were making me pay for those extra months.Then, a customer came in and had a heated exchange with the salesperson because he had just bought a brand new car that had been delivered with numerous scratches - but at night so he couldnt see them.At that point I decided to leave and not buy the car.

Where do I start? So many issues with them when we went in to buy a used car.The guy who helped us didn’t talk us through anything.We picked our car and he told us it wasn’t ready and we would just put a hold on it and do the paperwork and money later when the car was ready.Then he had us wait in the lobby. There were a few thing wrong with the car we had wanted to talk about but the financial adviser said it was too late, that should have been handled earlier. But we didn’t know we were even finalizing that day.Fast forward to five days later when we finally get the car.We had it delivered to us as we are over an hour away and it was a drive for us.It was delivered with ILLEGAL tint on it, making the sale an ILLEGAL sale to customers who did NOT approve of purchasing an ILLEGAL car.We had to drive the car BACK to Honda (over an hour away) for them to remove the ILLEGAL tint.Fast forward two months later:We took the car to another dealership for an oil change. There, the service writer tells us the car needs sooo much work. Coolant, brake fluid, and so many other things are in the red (in need of desperate service). After only TWO months of driving the car to and from work. Thats it.Honda spent all that money on their brand new huge facility, but can’t even properly turn around their used car for their customers. Will never ever buy from them again, will tell everyone to avoid the Santa Maria Honda dealership.0/5 stars, but that’s not possible so I give it a 1.

Horrible!!! 2 issues. Bought a used car from them. Clean carfax report. A few months later I run the carfax because after cleaning out the car I noticed what looked like repairs were made. Sure enough, the car was in an accident and they failed to tell me. I went in and spoke to the manager and they claimed they were unaware and did nothing. If they did a full inspection of the car upon receiving it, there is no way they could have not known.2nd, had a power steering leak when it was still under warranty. They fixed it but the next time I got my oil changed at another location I was informed of a power steering leak. They didnt fix it at all.

Terrible! There isn’t any other word to describe the service I experienced from them. W bought an used Nissan a little bit over a year now and the car has come with so many issues. We literally had to spend over $4000 in repairs, which is almost half of what it cost. RIDICULOUS! Then, when we wanted to return it with the warranty they didn’t even want to take it or make any offers on it. They would do anything to convince you to buy a car from them but then they don’t give any importante to what the state of the car is. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!

I cant say enough great things about this dealership. They are game changers when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. Their level of customer service is something every dealership should aspire to achieve. Vito, Greg, and Dan were phenomenal in working everything out for me. I looked at the car I wanted with Greg and he took me on the best test drive, then worked out all the numbers with his team for me. After work, I ran by nearly an hour after they closed just to take a peek at the outside with my family and Vito grabbed the keys so my son could look inside. He was more than willing to take the time to answer any questions, even though he had every reason to want to rush us out. I told him I would be back to purchase it the following day. Greg was off, but had everything ready and Vito said he would take care of me when I came to purchase the car. He pulled it to the back for me the next morning and got it even more clean than it already was. It was waiting for me when I arrived with balloons and a bow so we could take pictures. Even after I purchased the car, he asked me if I wanted him to go over any of the features and then told me to call him if any questions came up. Furthermore, it was a used car that I was getting an outstanding deal on, and I was not treated any different than if it were one they were making a lot of money on. I sincerely recommend checking this place out and speaking with Vito or Greg, just because my experience with them was so great, I want you to have that experience too. However, this dealership has such high standards over any other dealership Ive been to, I dont think they would put their faith in a sales consultant that wouldnt give you an incredible experience.

Just want to share with Honda dealer in Santa Maria what could be an improvement for their service department on which I used a number of times to avoid going to all those run down mechanic shops available that dont have the proper equipment and training to work on cars.I had bad results in most of my trips to Honda of Santa Maria as follow.some time ago battery was replaced because batteries only last a couple of years and no one knows why, the cable was left loose, on my way home the battery became disconnected, right after the repairs was completed.The car went for service oil changes and I had to remove 1/2 quart from transmission and another from engine because it was so far overfilled, during the inspection the air intake was left unclamped so car was breathing directly from outside the filter instead of filtered air, they do not torque bolts and nut to specifications also.I was going to get someone to repair my seat and waited for months even after a couple of remainders to the dealer and that never came, eventually I gave up.The dealer is very nice inside and out, employees are very nice also, the parts and service are more expensive even the cars that is been my experience, I do not have an issue with the cost of repairs because I agree to it, is convenient and expect a dealer professional service but unfortunately that has not happened.This is been my place for Honda repairs for many years, is getting harder to get things done correctly when I take the car for service, is very nice that they check the car for proper fluids levels and other things but I find it impossible to believe that they cause other problems as leaving parts disconnected only in the process of checking the fluid levels and filters.As per management they always been very professional during our consultations.

I set up an appointment to test drive the a Civic SI that had just arrived, but when I arrived the salesperson I had been speaking with over the phone was not there, and nobody there was even aware that the car was to be driven. After a brief chat with a friendly sales rep on the floor, it turns out that the Civic SI model isnt even available for a test drive without going through the numbers and basically doing everything up to but not signing a deal. And on top of it, the price for the car isnt available until you talk with them since their market adjustment is 10k over the 27.5k MSRP, so of course they wont show that on the website. No complaints about the politeness and professionalism of the staff, but frustrated about wasting my time and being deceived about the ability to test drive the car.

I let those guys replace the brake fluid.I could document a dozen issues with the service, but its not worth my time. I went in looking to buy a new car. Online they said they had two in stock but when I got there, I was told they didnt. Understood since I should have called and the market is hot right now. However, the salesman began to push me to try the Accord (I was looking for Accord Hybrid). I declined saying I was looking for the Hybrid specifically. He kept pushing so I agreed to look at the interior since its the same as the Hybrid. I didnt mind this. The salesman mentioned I could put down a $500 deposit to hold the Hybrid coming in. He reassured me it was refundable and no strings attached, he just had to get his manager to write the agreement. Imagine my surprise when he comes back singing a different tune how I need to sign to terms and conditions to financing the loan. Basically back pedaling what he said about no strings attached. Do you pull bait and switches on everyone? Or only your female customers?Ended up declining and drove to Goleta Honda and bought my car there. Great sales people there who werent condescending or pulled a bait and switch.To be clear, I had no problem waiting for the next shipment. What I had issue with was being lied to and trying to be strong armed into signing a contract.

So first off I want to say that in the beginning everything was great. They had the car I was looking for in my favorite color. I spoke with Marco (salesmen) and he did a great job of communicating and talking real big by stating he would even bring the car to me that I was looking into purchasing. This was exciting because we lived 180 miles away and I told him that my wife and I have excellent credit so this will not be a problem. The only issue was our trade had negative equity. But once again Marco assured me everything would be great with no worries. So with that my wife and I let them run our credit and punch numbers. Marco saw how good our credit was and said everything is good just trying to make sure they can give top dollar for the trade in. Marco gave us exact payment details of what we would be looking like. At this point it looks like we should have a deal. Then all of a sudden things shifted where now they cant bring the car over to me, they want me to drive to them (which is not a problem) but they mentioned that the kind of car I have tells them that I was a shady person (not exact words, paraphrase). I couldnt believe this considering how good everything was at first. Then it got worse when out of no where right when my wife and I was going to drive down there since they thought I was lying I guess, we get a call from their financial manager. He tells me very rudely the new numbers that were totally different than Marcos numbers. It was more expensive with a higher APR and I said this is not what Marco told us, and he said Marco didnt run numbers. So I replied, Marco straight up lied then??? He said I dont know why he told you that and said this is the deal with no other options. I hung up with him and was devastated. Then 2 days later, YES 2 DAYS LATER Marco texts me saying that the financial manager who called was not the guy he was working with and the guy he was waiting for is now available if we still want to do it. Now at this point with this kind of treatment we can all tell who is the real shady one? By this time we have looked elsewhere. So I tell him thank you but take us off your marketing team please. Then a week later in the mail we get the statements from the credit reporting agency in the mail stating that they were putting in a whole different total amount than what the car was worth. THESE PEOPLE ARE SHADY AND I AM TELLING YOU UNLESS YOU ARE THERE IN PERSON DO NOT WORK WITH THEM OVER THE PHONE.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only real issue I have is how long it takes to get simple service (oil change, tire rotation, etc.). I would be quoted an hour, to an hour and a half max only to be waiting 2+ hours. If it is going to take that long then that is fine, just dont quote something that is not going to be true.

Expensive car purchase prices, expensive service center, and expensive parts counter. Service advisors are on commission, just like sales associates. I recently bought a new 2022 Honda Insight from Honda Santa Maria. The entire process was painless! It started as a drop in to the dealership - on a whim - because there were cars on the lot (somewhat of a surprise during COVID shortages). We walking around a bit and then Marco Nieto came over to see if we needed any help. We chatted a bit (quite a charming young man) and looked and talked about cars...I mentioned I was looking for an electric or a hybrid. There was one on the lot, we took it for a test drive and then talked prices. My beau and I were very clear - we didnt want to be pressured or pay more than was reasonable. After some talk about the price, we were able to come to an agreement - but I wanted to think it over and decide the next day. Marco was super easy to work with - no pressure, not pushy, didnt try to up-sell at all. The next morning I decided to buy and Marco called me just as I was dialing him! We made plans to come in and complete the purchase. Once in the dealership, we worked with Angel Salazar about financing. I had a preapproved loan from my bank - Angel was able to match it with Capital One financing - also - an easy experience. Angel didnt pressure me to buy extra insurance or care packages - he explained them to me, he explained why I might want them but let me decide and accepted my decision gracefully.I cant say enough about what a pleasant experience the whole process was - I have told my friends and want everyone to know!
