Went to a cute little gem in LA for coffee. Didn’t see any parking lots but got lucky and found parking on the street. Inside, there was an area where they sold local artist’s art and gems. There was also a courtyard where you can sit and enjoy their coffee. I got a lavender honey latte and it was good but it was a little too sweet for my taste. (I forgot to take a picture)

Great place to grab some outdoor time in their small getaway courtyard. Lots of shade from outdoor umbrellas. Good as a catch up cafe for 2. Or great place for study, wifi with laptop for 1-2ppl. No outlet access. Furbabies allowed. I wouldnt recommend any rowdy dependants (fur or human) to ruin the chill vibes. Reminds me of Cafecito Organico in Silverlake before more gentrification happened. Food and snacks are offered here. They have small cute local artisan store.

This place is very picturesque if youre into Spanish architecture. This coffee shop has a lovely patio with a selection of books to choose from if you want to enjoy an afternoon. I had the cafe de olla with oat milk, which was luscious. The staff was friendly and quick. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and they even sell items from local artists.

Seriously my favorite cafe in So Cal. They have a gorgeous back area with a fountain, lemon tree, agave, buddhas, Guadalupe, etc. they have a large selection of tea if you dont like coffee. They have a lending library outside for the community where you can pick up or drop off books to add to it. They carry Homeboy Industries baked goods. I recommend the coffee cake its amazing!!! Holy Grounds is a small coffee and tea shop located on industrial section of El Sereno. It has a hippy and chill vibe. A good place to grab breakfast in the morning. I ordered their 16oz iced coffee and cinnamon bagel with cc. I like it because its a strong brewed coffee. However, the bagel was dry and somewhat hard in texture. Prices are competitive and fair. Staff were nice, competent and professional. Outdoor patio is under remodelling which sucks and their side street seats are very limited. Indoor seats are very limited to two small tables with four people seating capacity, hence they limit a 15 minute occupancy time. Parking is on the sidestreets only. Business hours are from 8 am to 4 pm. Overall, I recommend this coffee shop and I will definitely visit again.

Awesome place that takes you away from Alhambra where you feel youre in the bougie part of silver lake or to go fancy that youre in another country. Beautiful layout with lots of space and character. Importantly good coffee and WiFi too with lots of street parking. Wonderful option for doing work and feeling a tad better doing it too.

This place is wonderful. The lattes are the perfect balance of espresso, milk, and flavor. The pastries are to die for and the Muenster breakfast sandwich is the bomb. We have been 2 times this month since discovering them and definitely will be adding them to our regular rotation. The outdoor seating is super cute too and they have a little bar inside as well

I want to give us place at five so bad but it always seems like they have to close their patio and that is the real draw for me. I love their coffee, and I’d rather give them money than Starbucks. When they do close their patio, you’re forced to sit on the sidewalk that has little to no shade, even when they attempt to put the umbrellas up, but kudos for them for trying, at least. Their staff is always friendly and helpful and very attentive and accommodating. I really do like the patio, and all its quirky little sculptures, designs and touches. I have been to the Santa Monica location and that place really does feel like a Starbucks compared to this one.. the café de oija is phenomenal!

The coffee and food are a 10/10Service is okay, The only issue is that they dont have enough staff to help with orders so they do get backed up every time Im here and wait time can be anywhere from 20mins and up which is understandable when they dont have enough staff.The food and drinks are delicious which is why I keep coming back.They have one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches ever! Just be prepared to wait patiently.

I love to shop and eat local as much as I can. Supporting local businesses is important to me. Found this place on Google when out on appointments in the area. They offer great coffee. I had the cold brew and it brought me back for seconds. I was not able to stay long but I can tell the locals enjoy this spot for a relaxing atmosphere, good food and drinks. Absolutely love the ambiance of this shop. Good coffee, incredibly friendly staff, and the most beautiful seating area (with a fountain!) in the back. Plants galore, and they do a great job at showcasing local talent with their products for sale inside the shop as well. The lemon cake is out of this world (but sells out way too fast and isn’t brought back often enough). Breakfast sandwiches are very good too!

This is hands down my very favorite coffee shop. Its strange that with such an abundance of coffee in the US, there are not many places that actually serve good coffee thats dialed in correctly. First time here and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is very comfortable and homey—they carry many local vendor items for sale which I thought was nice and gave a big sense of community. They even had a small community library outside their building (“take a book, donate one tomorrow”). Their outside patio was great, dog friendly and they even have a water bowl for your puppy. I got the cafe de olla with oat milk and coffee bread, both options were mouth watering! They also have a rewards program, I believe it was after your 8th purchase you receive a free one. Just found this place and i love it. I needed a place to study. I had the Muenster breakfast sandwich. Its only like a dollar more than the ones at Starbucks but it was on sourdough cibatta with a fried egg and lettuce and tomato with a chipotle mayo. It was bomb. So worth the extra dollar. They have cafe de olla. I love cafe de olla and its so hard to find and their version is delicious. I had a latte later then lastly an Earl grey with the cranberry scone. The scone is large and it was delicious, great texture. Its very Mexican with a Frieda Kahlo vibe. Theres a beautiful patio with a fountain outside. I would have studied there but i needed the outlet. Ill be back until I return to Georgia in a couple of weeks. Nice people behind and in front of the counter. Really love this place.

Love this coffee shop! The Mexican chocolate they add to their drinks is delicious. I ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese special last week and it was amazing. I also love the atmosphere--everyone has always been friendly and helpful when I come in. They also have a great take a book leave a book library that they keep out front. So the last time I had been to this place prior to my most recent visit was some time ago. I really didnt see much innovation on the menu, but the best of my favorites were still proudly on display. The major changes had more to do with the patio area which is now lacking the open relaxed ambience it had before. The major causes are the loss of the fruit tree and the closing of half of the patio area to private parties.

I love this place. First, the batistas are always friendly and outgoing. The place itself is just quaint. Great place to come and sit down to get some work done. My fiance and I came for almost a week straight and we loved every day we spent here. The outdoor area is beautiful and serene and the outlets are easily accessible. They understand what theyve got all around them and what neighborhood theyre in and its refreshing to see a small business acknowledge its foundation. The community makes places like this and its great to see this place give back. The communal library is great and their coffee is even better. Their ojo rojo is my go to as a caffeine addict.

Whats not to like about this place? It has it all- organic coffee, with a decidedly not a corporation feel about the place. They have a close relationship with the family that produces the coffee who also support development opportunities for women in the coffee industry.The coffee is really good, the patio is lovely, it has a great feel with that tinkling fountain. They have a printer. And people are really pleasent.Sort of tucked out of the way but I can bike there in under 5 minutes so Im glad its here. Definitely worth adventuring out for a sweet cuppa Jo.

Lots of local community vibes and local support throughout. I ordered the Cafe de olla and a coffee cake. Between those 2 and the big shaded patio with quaint fountain, I honestly dont know which is my favorite part... I guess I will just have to go back to figure it out.

I love buying local. Holy Grounds is not only a local coffee shop, they also buy local. I enjoyed one of the best scones Ive ever tasted, a large cranberry filled scone, fresh from Homeboy Industries kitchen. I also tried a cafe olla; the cinnamon and sugar in the drink was glorious. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I will definitely be returning in the near future.

This place was great years ago. However, I recently went back and the place has changed drastically. Theyre currently doing constructions so the back seating area was closed (the reason why I liked this place so much). There were 2 female baristas working and they werent the friendliest. Back in the day, there was a gentleman who worked there. He was very friendly and helpful. Not sure if he still works there now. The drinks were also mediocre. The iced coffee was very watered down and the orange smoothie also tasted watered down.

The service here has changed tremendously over the last year.The service use to be excellent;now it’s hard to get anyone to wait on you. The coffee cups are all small now but same prices for a larger one; they only have one size. The dog is allowed to wonder where it likes even behind the counter where the food and coffee are being prepared.The patio is closed and the inside tables all two are always dirty.I use to go 5 days a week. I stopped about two months ago it just keep getting worse.

This is such a treat. Its like a little corner of heaven. Its in an industrial part of town but once you walk in you can hear the sound of running water and smell the fresh dirt, it feels as if youve transported into another world. I love it. The owner Steve is like family to our neighborhood and is passionate about creating a space for the community to hold events like workshops, open mics, markets, and music showcases. There is a great variety of coffees and teas all freshly brewed and way more flavorful then any Starbucks or dunkin donuts. The staff are always friendly and engaging. The atmosphere is that sacred vibe with an outdoor patio and soothing fountain and art hanging on the walls from local artists. In addition to having good coffee and tea, they sell local crafts from the community such as candles, jewelry, and handmade toiletries. However, be prepared for a bit of sticker shock, especially for East LA. Most of the drinks and snacks are on the pricier side. Two coffees will set you back over $10.

A friend of mine and I get there about 10 minutes from closing. The staff just looked at us while we sat, did not greet us or even bother to ask how they can help. The guy behind the counter just said, we close at 6. The staff didnt even say a word or seem interested in our business. My friend and I looked at each other and walked out. Poor customer service. This is one of my favorite coffee shops of all time, hands down. Whenever Im in the area, I stop by this little coffee shop in the middle of Alhambra and sit in their gorgeous patio. Lots of sunlight, a fantastic fountain, and great ambiance!The coffee itself is really good. It comes from the nearby Antigua coffee house, who the owner (Yanci) grows his own coffee from Guatemala (I think!). The cafe de olla is really good (orange and cinnamon brewed with the coffee!)Also, check out their hidden menu. Ask for the Juan-two-three. You wont regret it if you like coconut water and caramel!The people who hang out here are generally the artistic type, coming from Cal State LA. The owner sells some of their knick knacks in the front. Theres also some classes and meetups at the shop too. If youre looking for a place to work, chill, or meet friends, I highly recommend checking this place out!
