Staff was especially friendly, present, inviting, helpful, signs of a good work culture!They helped by finding some plates and plastic cutlery for a late snack in our room.Convenient location near Korea Town.Spacious Suite with a table than can be pulled out.Good off street parking.Breakfast was also good.

The old adage of you get what you pay for, unless you stay here.The breakfast ladies were the only redeeming quality here. Breakfast was nice, and although repetitive, it was by far adequate.The rooms were nothing special but were clean.The one thing I noted is that there is no detailed cleaning done here. Window sills, hallways, and areas that are in the background are on autopilot.The fitness center is completely 100% worthless. There is ZERO airflow and ZERO fans and ZERO air-conditioning. I tried the treadmill but gave up after 8 minutes. I left because there is literally no airflow in a very small room.When I initially checked in, I was assigned room #206. The street noises were horrible. You heard everything and anything at a busy intersection.The roller shade in my room was broken from day #1.The breakfast ladies were very nice, and when I pointed out that black flecks were in the water dispenser, she immediately put an out of order sign on it,,,,, which stayed there for another week.All in all, I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express across the nation and back, and this one is at the bottom of the heap.I suggest you go elsewhere. Look at my photos and you too will agree.

Anna made the check-in process smooth - fast - convenient and was courteous and personable throughout. The room was perfect, the breakfast was great, and there was ample parking. The location was exactly where I needed to be. Overall, 5 stars.

Persistent unpleasant (sewer gas?) smell in bathroom for the entire time I was in Room 216. Renovation of other rooms was underway but that shouldn’t be related. Road noise in rooms facing the main street. Typical breakfast items for holiday inn, clean room and comfy bed were the important things, and didn’t disappoint.

Coming from NZ American hotels take a little getting used to - room has a microwave oven but only paper cups for the flavored coffee pods. No milk in the fridge or tea making facilities. However the cafe downstairs has round the clock tea & coffee. We appreciated the generous & varied breakfasts that set you up for that big American (portion size) lunch! Nice to use the gym also. Staff were warm & friendly.

After using the elevator, to find our room, we had to lug our suitcases up 10 steps! Room smells like cleaner and bleach. Cannot get the frig to work properly. Wifi doesnt work. The bathtub is filthy. Door knob is loose/broken. Theres a keurig in the room, but no sweeteners or creamer for coffee. It was unplugged and no outlet nearby. Must be for looks!They held my credit card info, in case I smoke in the room. Seems the Room has already been smoked in with the disinfectant smells it already has! Feels like a scam to charge additional fees.

I have stayed at this property several times and for a good reason. It is a well-maintained property with great customer service. The property and the rooms are very clean. It’s conveniently located next to the airport and the management is outstanding. Mary and her team do a great job at check-in with positive attitudes.Breakfast is first class and items are fresh.Thank you, Mary!

The room I stayed was a room for the physically challenged(though I am not physically challenged) which was not good. It would be best if you could get other room if you are not physically challenged. The receptionist is a smiling face person and has a good attitude.The laundry machine was really nice and the best part is its free to use, just get your detergent.The breakfast is good. The location is very central with a pak restaurant, marathi restaurant and dennys. Plus there is a target nearby. Overall a good experience.

Only thing going for this place is the location. Got bug bites from the bed in two rooms before and after switching. Hotel feels old and smells of over powering air freshener, probably to hide other dubious scents. Dining area is also closed off for use during the day and doesnt provide all day coffee like the Holiday Inn Santa Clara just down the road. What annoyed me most is that the front desk moaned about giving us a late checkout and kept asking for $120 if we wanted to check out at 6pm. I told them that a lady from earlier said it was $79 and she immediately backed off. Feels very treacherous.Really, for a modern and standard Holiday Inn experience, go to the 2 minutes away. This one is terrible.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a work trip. Staff were extremely friendly, room was comfortable, there is a small but perfectly functionable gym, breakfast was tasty with a range of options - only downside personally was breakfast being served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. Hotel is convenient to access locations in Santa Clara and San Jose

Stayed here for 3 days and loved it! It was clean and quiet. Stores and restaurants nearby, they give a list of their recommendations. Cleaning service does a good job cleaning the room. The breakfast food was free and it was great! Breakfast is served from 6am-10am. Staff was very friendly as well. I would definitely stay here again!

Such exceptional customer service with E-check in. Third time staying here at this location. Rooms are spotless clean, and complimentary hot breakfast available from 6:00 a.m. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties fresh fruit, bagels, breakfast burritos, cold cereal, hot oatmeal, whatever your little hard desires! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. Hotel was clean and AC was in good shape. Check in and out was easy and smooth. Breakfast was good. Good selection although, I wish there was hot potatoes or hashbrowns. I loved that the toiletries were Bath and Body Works. Good quality. Upon arriving I did get a little goodie bag with three pieces of chocolate in it which I thought was cute. When I called room service and asked for extra toilet paper the reception lady did tell me that I can come down and get it and then said “never mind I’ll have someone bring it to you.” I thought she was a little rude for asking me to come down to get it. Shower handle was loose but I didn’t notice it until an hour before checkout. Nothing major. Overall, it was clean and comfortable!

This is the perfect mid tier hotel for a trip to South Bay. No full breakfast yet due to COVID, but they had breakfast sandwiches coffee and juice to go for your room. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The area is perfect for you in case you want to get some of the delicious offerings delivered to the room or explore it for yourself. The rooms are modern, clean, and definitely well-kept. The rooms also have a mini fridge and a microwave which I was extremely surprised and delighted by. They should be everyone’s go to for an affordable stay in the area. I will give it more stars if I could.

This hotel has a small parking lot but check-in was a breeze. Priority club members will get a free water bottle and snack bar on top of opting for the 500 miles. At least Spire club numbers will. The room seem like they were renovated recently. The finishes are very nice and sleek. Bathrooms nice and clean rooms nice and clean and the beds are nice and clean. The TV has exceptional AV capability and the bed has outlets built into the headboard. There is even an extra rollaway table in the desk. They have a ton of HBO and Showtime channels too. My rate was 299 a night but thats kind of the going rate for this area.

Ordered 2 queen beds room. Their version of a queen is A full size looks close enough bathroom, room amenities and location to near by restaurants and stores its great. But me and my wife ordered 2 queen beds because my son is 5 10 my wife and I are 6 1 and need the space because no one has a 2 king bed room.

Rooms were clean, the bed comfortable and coffee/tea provided in room. There was a fridge in the room which was noisy when it came on for a minute every now and then, but it was empty so I could turn it off easily. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Free breakfast. Their laundry room (as opposed to laundry service which they also have) was useful.

The room was okay. Cleaning Service for your room was every 4 days die to Covid. Self Laundry was not 24 hrs but 8AM - 8PM and need to book in advanced. The internet speed was poor and not have very good connection. Overall was ok.

This is a two star hotel that should really be classified as a three star. I think this is my new favorite (affordable) hotel in town.Pro: well located, new facility, near food heaven, well maintained, cozy and comfortable, well insulated, newer gym, modern. Staff go the extra mile.Con: quite literally - the only con is that the rooms are on the smaller side. This could make it tougher for families but for business travelers or couples, it is just fine.

One of the best Holiday Inn express I have visited. The room was spacious, even had a microwave and mini kitchen - perfect for a business traveler who might want to cook or heat something of their own. The washroom had a tub, shower and all the basic amenities. For someone who is vegetarian, there may not be enough options in their complimentary breakfast menu except cereals or fruits. That said, the location is super - very accessible from the airport, right next you have Popoyes Louisiana kitchen and when you walk further there are enough eating options. The Target store is almost 0.5miles - so you pretty much get everything around.Tip: prefer taking rooms which do not face the main road because some road junkies might ruin your sleep.

Overall, this place was decent. The room was clean (8/10), had a fridge and microwave, featured a number of easily accessible inputs for the TV, and didnt feel cramped. It would have been nice if the nightstands had USB ports though. The free breakfast buffet is a step above most free breakfasts, with biscuits & gravy, Cinnabon rolls, quiche, and omelettes (premade). The fitness center is nice but a bit cramped. Wed stay here again.

This is a pretty nice Hotel. Nice looking lobby and breakfast area. The room was large with a nice desk and chair to get some work done. Plenty of outlets by the bed and desk. The room I was in had a mini fridge and microwave. Several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Close to the San Jose airport.

Outside of the hotel looks good. Even the lobby area, fitness room is good. But the rooms are pretty small, in fact the smallest I have seen among all the holiday inns I have stayed till date. Breakfast is OK. Parking area is getting renovated so a bit messy now. Would I recommend this place? Well... I doubt I will.

You will only be able to relate to this review if you are parent of competitive swimmers. We drove up from So Cal on Wednesday for a four day swim meet. Today is day one of the competition and we left the hotel at 6:45am and arrived back just before 10pm only to find that the laundry has specific hours of 8a-8p. Since I have two swimmers I have 12 oversized wet towels and the hotel could not make any accommodations other than directing me to a 24 Hour laundry mat. Clearly I am not the only one who has complained since their hotel is so small and filled with swimmers from across the nation! So now it’s 10: I5p and I have sit and wait until after 12a on the laundry. Then repeat this process for the next four days! UNREAL!!!! We have stayed in countless Holiday Inns not by choice but rather with our swim team for the last 5 years and our IGH number can confirm this. This is the only location that has had a restriction on laundry services! It’s poorly designed with the laundry room adjacent to a guest room. Additionally this hotel is only two levels. If your room is on the second level you may have to go up an extra set of 10 plus stairs that leads to six additional rooms with no elevator access so you have to carry all of your luggage and personal items up and down the stairs during your arrival and departure. Very inconvenient! I would not recommend this hotel.

Im actually quite surprised by the negative reviews, and also some of the photos on this page are outdated. This location has been renovated in recent years. I stayed here for only a night, and compared to other HIE establishments in the Bay Area (same brand), the amenities were superior and the room was bigger. In-room wifi signal was strong. The front desk was very courteous. The room was equipped with many outlets and connections that you wont find at other HIEs, such as HDMI, iPod dock, USB, etc. Although the rates tend to be higher because of the location (Silicon Valley), I wish I had stayed longer.

Some rooms have bad wifi signal strength. The staff did mention that they were going to add more access points, so it may get better in future. The staff was courteous and agreed to move me to a different room once I told them that the wifi was bad. The second room was much better.

Oh, and the rest of the hotel is excellent as well.One beef I have against Holiday Inn Express in general (compared to Hampton) is their breakfast has instant oatmeal instead of cooked oatmeal. I am a big oatmeal fan for breakfast and instant is just not very good. I was delightfully surprised when I found cooked oatmeal at breakfast.The staff is very friendly. The room was updated with all the nice plugs, tv etc. youd want. I plugged my iPad into the HDMI port on the wall (which was connected to the TV) and was able to watch stuff on my iPad on the big TV. The wifi is reasonably fast and the bathroom has a nice, big counter to spread out the stuff.Many places to eat nearby within walking distance, and a Target should you need anything.

Well, except the fact that they underpay their staff. All days in Santa Clara were accompanied by protests at every Marriott in the area asking for fair, living wages. If I had not been there for a conference that left the entire city closed down, I might have even changed hotels.

Rooms are clean and large as the pictures show. Air conditioning in rooms is loud, I couldnt sleep with that level of noise. I cant turn ac off either, because the rooms, like many hotel rooms, have windows, but guests cant open the windows. I confused this Holiday Inn Express with the one at 2445 El Camino Real and my kids are disappointed due to lack of swimming pool here.

It was under renovation. The room had been renovated so it was clean. I was concerned that there was a faint odor of hypochlorous acid or some kind of disinfectant left in the rooms, hallways, and lobby, perhaps after extensive disinfection?I think the continental breakfast had enough variety for an American motel, including an automatic pancake machine, sausages, cereals, fruits, and plastic mineral bottles.
