ExceptionalDermatologist ! Terrible no common sense front desk staff, at least the person I had to deal with directly. My insurance changed plans, but I stillhave the same provider of insurance. I am a patient, mid-treatment and now they are requiring me to go back to get a new referral from primary Dr; despite the fact that I already got one, the additional fact that I am willing to pay any uncovered expense. So frustrating, it’s the same insurance company. They showed ZERO concern for me as a patient, who is ready for next step in treatment/assessment. Ridiculous !!

I have bee going to Hodge Dermatology for the past 3 years. My experience with Hodge Dermatology is outstanding. First prior to your appointment you are sent a registration sheet via email. You also have the option to wait until you get to the office. Very simple to fill out and it takes only a moment. Once you get to the office the friendly faces greet you and you wait maybe 5 or 10 minutes the most and then you’re off to your assigned room. On this visit I got an annual body check for skin abnormalities (not my favorite but necessary).If anybody knows about how that works you basically strip down (to your undies) and the doctor in this case was Dr. Ledon does a pretty an excellent analysis of your skin changes over the past year.Dr. Ledon is thorough, has a wonderful bedsides manner and you are done with the exam before you know it. I highly recommend Hodge Dermatology for all your medical needs. You won’t be disappointed!!

Hodge dermatology was the best experience I’ve had with a derm. All of the staff was friendly and professional. They handled my needs very quickly, as I was not expecting a mole extraction for the same day as my initial appointment! I was very happy with this option and would definitely recommend to others!

5 star service all around! From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by the amazing front office staff. The nurses/assistant’s are friendly and caring. Saw a PA, who sent prescription to my pharmacy . I knew the medication is expensive so I told the pharmacy I didn’t need it, because I had that danger medication from my PCP earlier this year. They told me it was not ointment which I had, but rather gel with specific instructions. On follow up appointment I questioned if I was doing the gel properly. PA said- no, it’s ointment. Nurse showed her the tablet which showed gel. I told the PA she owed me $106!!!!!! I’m a Medicare covered patient and $106 is exorbitant! All she said was ‘I’m sorry’. I’m still very upset by her flippant attitude and of course her glaring error which cost me so much money!

Excellent! 5 out of 5 stars all around. From the receptionist who first greets you as you enter the lobby, to the medical assistants that direct you to the room and then prep accordingly, and finally to the physician that performs the medical treatment, all were highly professional and very informative. Dr. Jennifer Ledon took the time to observe, treat and advise and made me feel very comfortable and never rushed.

As a patient of Dr. Hodge for over 20 years, and having moved from Fullerton to Arizona, it was a trust in Dr. Hodge’s choice of replacement that was the impetus for me to drive over 4 hours for this appointment. I was favorably impressed with Dr. Ledon. She was thorough, took time to listen to my history and current concerns, and clearly explained what she recommended for my various challenges. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable (same as when Dr. Hodge was in the office). I was very pleased and am looking forward to continuing under Dr. Ledon’s care.

Dr. Ledon is truly attentive to detail! I came in for my second microneedling appointment, and she immediately asked if I felt that there was a major difference in my acne scars from the first treatment. I told her that I felt there was a small noticeable difference. She informed me that we would be using a different gauge of microneedles this time, and that it would be deeper to create a more effective treatment. I’m reviewing this three days after my appointment, and my skin looks even better than after the first treatment. I’m truly happy with the treatment, the staff overall, and her medical assistant, Jazmine, who was very helpful in educating me about my skincare routine pre and post treatment!

This was my first visit as a new patient to this office. Everyone in the front office was pleasant and professional. I am looking to change to a new dermatologist that has strong communication skills and also who has a caring personality and will take time with me and not be rushed. They handed me an handheld computer and I entered all my info. I did not have to wait long to be taken back to my room. Dr. Ledon was very knowledgeable about all my questions/concerns that day. She took the time to thoroughly explain things. She seemed compassionate about my concerns and took care of some cosmetic removals that I wanted done. Dr. Ledon is truly the dermatologist that I have been looking for. She also recommended a book for me to read :-) She was very personal as well. I am looking forward to my next appointment with her and her staff. Jasmine the medical assistant that was in my room the entire time was also very compassionate and caring. I highly recommend this medical group to my family friends and colleagues.

These people really care. My 85 year old mom freaked out when she saw a purple spot on her leg so I called and scheduled a full body scan and the soonest they had was first week of July. I still have that appointment but they had her come in the same day just to look at the dot that I told her was nothing. She is now satisfied that the doctor told her it’s nothing. 😝my mom also had a suspicious freeloader removed from her arm at this facility. The staff here is patient and caring and the doctor was super nice and efficient.

The nurse took out my stitches and she was very sensitive and nice. Dr came in and did a thuralcheck of my whole body and did a biopsy of one spot and said she would call me with results. Very pleasant appointment

I went for a six month skin check. Dr Ledon has found some basal cell and melanoma and treated them in the past. Today she took a biopsy of a possible basal cell. She is very thorough and efficient which I greatly appreciate. She will follow up with me as soon as results are in. She is the best! Her staff is outstanding!

The staff was friendly and professional. I was seen within 1/2 hour of my appointment time. Once in the exam room, the nurse went over my medical history and entered it into their system. I had taken advantage of their on line option for filling all of the new patient forms ahead of my arrival.I was then seen by a caring physician, who did a thorough exam took the time to patiently and accurately explain to me what each area of concern was, and if it needed treatment, what that would be and why.I had previously had another dermatologist rush me through an exam, take a biopsy, and never tell me about anything. That person had also missed a few things.Thank God this was a much better experience. I would definitely recommend them. 👌

Dr. Hodge who was a great dermatologist is no longer there [she retired] and the new practice is now operating under a fictitious name. The clinic appears to be like an unorganized and disorderly place as as phone calls are not returned in time or at all, and the medications may not get called to the pharmacy as promised. I experienced that first hand and was appalled by it.It was also my experience that calling the office to get the issue resolved is useless, for the response that one receptionist provides contradicts the previous receptionists response, and there is no record of the previous communication. And, to make the matter worse, their office manager seems too busy or apathetic to step in and resolve the issue, or return the patients call despite the fact that they tell you she would. I do NOT recommend this clinic to anyone.

This was my first time ever seeing a Dermatologist, and I had to go for two visits. I saw Dr. Hodge the first visit, and while she is very knowledgeable, she was very rushed through our appointment. She would very quickly explain something, but I didn’t really have an opportunity to ask questions or understand what she was doing. She was on her way out of the room before I could ask about how my next appointment would go. One of the ladies helping at the desk also seemed very rushed to get me checked in/out, even though I had no issue waiting for assistance. I saw Dr. Ledon for my second visit, and she was great! She is very patient, answered all my questions, and was very understanding that I was feeling nervous. I’ll definitely go back to see Dr. Ledon.

So far I like Dr. Ledon but I’m not to sure I would go back. I went in to have Botox and some skin tags removed. Prices were quoted to me during my consult as for the Botox the assistant asked me if a would be fine with the units I had last time. I said yes and added what the doctor recommends. Mind you this was my second visit for cosmetic in a year there. The also advised me touch ups are only for first time visits only, which they do the following two weeks. The procedure was fine, but when I went to pay they advised me the doctor did an additional 10 units per eye. Adding up to 20, which honestly I was not expecting. The doctor should have recommended that to me verbally rather than just doing it. This seemed very underhanded to me and honestly I felt uncomfortable about this, but paid it. I hope they see this review because I want to contact them about this. It’s very disappointing. Seemed like a price gouge or some bad miscommunication.I went in with my mom and she had a procedure done where they froze some spots. When quoting the price the assistant advised us 15 spots and up would be a certain price however, the doctor said they only did 15 at a time. Something’s just didn’t add up for me.I hope they contact to get things cleared up.Update**** 8/10/2022Dr. Ledon reached out to me and cleared things up over the phone and explained there was a miscommunication that happened and that she should have advised me of the additional work that was recommended before she proceeding. Looking back she said there was an additional 4 units per eye that was added not the 10 units per that the assistant told me. In regard to my mom she advise 15 is her cut off depending on how well the patient does. Dr. Ledon offered a touch up and definitely smoothed things out.Also I would like to add that my mother and I are happy with the work that has been done and will continue to see Dr. Ledon.

I had to come in for a treatment on a random baldspot after my consultation visit. Arrived at my treatment appointment time about the same time as another patient. The other patient said she was a bit early for her appointment, but was taken in first while I arrived right on time for mine. I had to wait about an additional 40 minutes to be seen. I was supposed to receive treatment for a random bald spot. I was seen for about a minute or less. Dr. Hodge took a look at the area and said it looks like its getting better and growing back and that I most likely wont be needing a treatment anymore and wrote it off. She asked if I noticed any other bald spots but did not check herself. Honestly, she could have done a more thorough check. I was then told that I could meet them outside. I had to pay a $40 copay for the visit... Im sure my insurance paid a good amount for my visit, the least they couldve done was waive the copay. If anything they couldve screened me through a followup call to make sure that I even needed to go back in for the treatment which shouldve been done if they actually cares about their patients instead of just trying to get our money. I saw hair coming back but I thought Id at least get the treatment injection to help it grow back more fully or faster and thats why I decided to still go in. Had I known if any hair started to grow back and Id basically just be told that it looks like its getting better, I wouldve canceled the appointment to save time and money. I had to take time off of work to go go in. When I asked if I had to pay the copay for what I had just experienced... I was told yes, sorry. You received treatment. I would hardly call that treatment. Times are hard and money is tight for a lot of people. If you really cared about your patients you couldve waived my copay as it was pretty much a waste of my time, gas, mileage, and money going in.

I felt rushed in the exam room and was surprised to learn of the charge to remove a few skin tags. The products that were recommended and are sold here were very expensive. I wasn’t told the price until I was at the counter and no longer able to ask questions of the doctor. I expect to pay more for quality products but not a small fortune. A friend suggested that an esthetician might be better suited to address my skincare needs and concerns which surprised me but am willing to see if that’s a better option at this point. I was recommended to this practice by my gynecologist and am sadly disappointed with my experience.

As of Dec 2021, they are strongly enforcing, masks, signed covid/flu forms, taking temp and asking if vaccinated/flu shot (not checking vac cards). Hand sanitizer and masks provider, but not wiping down of inside high touch furniture and magazines at hand (only mentioning since my husband and I have not encountered this much (@ least in orange county) so this info may be a positive or negative in your decision factor. In regards to front office staff, we were greeted, they were extremely either overbooked or had patients needing more assistance then accepted, but we waited 1.5hr before being seen (and we were told by front office staff, after an hr of waiting “sorry we are a few min behind”). I understand running behind (Im a nurse and hairstylist) but would like to have been told either before my app via phone or when arriving the new wait time. To make a decision as to wait or reschedule). The MA or intake staff was very detailed and kind, the Dr was also personable and knowledgeable. Overall, I base reviews on the actual Dr, for that I would go back to see her. But as for the experience leading up to it, not sure if the Dr is worth it honestly.

So Dr. Hodge let me know step by step what she was going to do and when, well I didn’t feel much when she numbed the area. I will definitely refer her to anyone looking for a great dermatologist. I would not recommend Hodge Dermatology. Hodge Dermatology diagnosed me with a serious condition. I had a follow up appointment scheduled to check my status; they canceled the follow up appointment do the the doctor needing to go on vacation. They said they would call me back to reschedule but never did. A month later I followed up with them; they said they could not schedule me for a follow up appointment for two months - even though they canceled my original follow up appointment and never got back to me. I asked the receptionist if she can ask the doctor if that time period was alright, due to the severity of my condition. The receptionist responded with “that is the only time I have available”. I guess they could care less about me or my condition, thus, this would be a doctor that I would never recommend.

Dr. Hodge was able to cure my face that became extremely sensitive and allergic to sun and wind after receiving some laser treatments for dark spots four years . She was able to find the real problem and come up with the right solution for it. Now, I am extremely happy with the result, and the tortures that I had to go through are now gone. Dr. Hodge is an incredibly smart & thorough doctor who cares for the overall health & well-being of her patients in addition to their skin. I owe Dr. Hodge a huge personal debt of gratitude for my own overall health. When I first visited Dr. Hodge, we discussed acne treatment options & I mentioned chronic liver sensitivities (~15 years dealing with undiagnosed elevated liver enzyme levels, despite more than one abdominal ultrasound & even a liver biopsy ordered by other previous doctors of mine). Taking precautions with my liver, Dr. Hodge ordered labs and on noting my still-elevated liver enzyme levels she referred me to a liver specialist at UCI Medical Center. I have remained under the care of the hepatologist to whom Dr. Hodge referred me and my liver enzyme levels have now normalized for the first time in 8 years. I have returned to Dr. Hodge, as needed, for dermatology treatment and could not be more impressed with her. Do not hesitate to make an appointment with Dr. Hodge - you’ll be glad you did!
