At first I was gonna rate it 4 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟 But they greeted me on the way in and on the way out. They look understaffed but handle it really well. The store has something for every hobby. The staff are really helpful at knowing where everything is. Honestly I would one hundred percent go again 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😊

I think I covered a couple square miles in this area today! Hobby Lobby is huge, theyve got a lot of product in that store.. so many cute baskets LOL! I think if I had to redecorate my house, it would be the place to go. Great selection, good sales, decent prices.

It was hard to find someone on the sales floor to ask questions. I needed the code to get into the bathroom. The salesperson wouldnt give me the code. He came and punched it in. Seems silly.The stuff I found on clearance was great though! Great prices!

I would normally give this place 5 stars, but after my recent run-in with manager Melissa, I cant say that anymore. I consider myself one of this stores best customers -- always shopping there, and my husband has even taken to getting me yearly gift cards for them since he knows I love going there. But the last time I was there, it was a huge turn-off that the bathrooms are locked now. I know there are undesirables that ruin it for everybody, but I have literally almost not made it to the bathroom on time because you have to track down an employee to punch numbers to get you in. I was so desperate that I actually had to use the mens bathroom because it was left ajar, thank God. I let Melissa know that this is less than desirable and she made it clear to me (with an attitude, I might add), that they WILL NOT be going back to unlocking them again. Didnt matter that I told her Im a great customer. So, I will be making an effort to go to other craft stores in the area now as much as possible. Just makes me sad.

Great selection of tools and items you cant find anywhere else locally. For the love of God, lets move past the 1980s and put barcodes on the products. I dont care that I waited in line forever when a70 year old cashier needs to spend ten minutes typing in product numbers. I left this place with a really sad feeling.Perhaps you have a reason for this system, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out what it is.

Right now this store is 60+% Christmas decor. And they didnt have what I needed (soccer related stuff). BUT, there is a ton of stuff, helpful staff, and a great location. My only advice is to ask for help, because the layout doesnt make sense and youll never find anything on your own. For example, frames for pictures can be found in about 5 different places.

This was my first time ever in a Hobby Lobby. I was speechless. I am a Christmas freak and this store has more Christmas decorations than I have ever seen. You name it...they have it. They have a ton of other things, too. Toy, home furnishings, other holiday items, the list goes on. I love this place! Great staff, too.

This was my first time going to a Hobby Lobby and it was great. I didnt even look at what seemed like 20% of what was there. Its sooo big with so much stuff! Everything you could possibly need for home decor, crafting, and sewing. There was a lot of good sales going on when I was there but things were priced reasonably without the sales too. Definitely will go back for any crafting needs.

Well store is nice clean and fully stocked. However maybe short staffed. We were in the fabric department when we saw the most horrible display of employees rudeness toward another co worker. Customer was waiting to have fabric cut ringing the bell. Employee Debra appeared calling for help. Then leaves brings back a employee who was telling her kim i believe she was still on break. That didnt matter she demanded her berated her right in front of us as well as other customers saying she didnt care if she was on her break. Wonder why she just didnt help the lady herself instead of doing what she did. I felt horrible for the girl. Definitely a power trip on her part but never never talk to another employee like that in a public display. I will go to other craft stores in the future.

They lied to local teacher I know of personally, promising discounts for all teachers who shopped at the Redding Hobby Lobby location. At first they demanded she bring in proof, but when she did, they rejected her eligibility, claiming they really meant bulk “school discounts” and not individual teacher discounts. For all of Hobby Lobby’s holier than thou nonsense, they are frauds and above all - liars.

They have a good selection for a variety of hobbies including sewing, painting and model cars. I dislike how they lock up $3 items and it is hard to find someone with a key. What should have been a 5 minute trip turned into a 20 minute expedition. They are friendly when you do find someone though.

This store is awesome it has something for everyone. I could spend hours in there and there is always new stuff. Hands down the best place to get any type of holiday decorations. My only issue is that the manager at the Redding store her name is Melissa she is very snotty, unhelpful and really just plain rude. It always surprises me when I go into a store and they have a manager that is rude and shouldnt be have that position. If these stores would hire someone more qualified for the job it would make ours stores a much more pleasant place to shop al the way around.

The store is very organized shelves always look so good lay out is really good. The employees are really helpful. They greet you at the door even if there helping customers at the cash register. My only complaint is they will have multiple of the same items marked at different prices, and if you ask the assistant manager (sickly looking skinny guy) he just says the company determines the price...and if you point out its the same identical item ( matching sku #s even ) well that just revs lil Johnnys motor up and he walked away from me.

I went here to get some paint for a project. I try to be understanding and patient, but I have to say that this stores policy on spray paint is down right condescending. It made me feel like a child or criminal, and definitely controlled. You keep your paint and policies and I’ll keep my money. California law states 6 ounces as the cut off amount my can was 5.75. Don’t like feeling like a criminal when I’m trying to shop.

My wife and I find it extremely dangerous to go into this store because it’s so easy to empty your bank account and max out your credit cards. Everything in this store is awesome. Went for a particular liquid cement for my hobbies and for the second time they have stopped carrying the one I prefer. At least the first time they had a comparative brand that was equal to the other one both in its actions and cost for quantity but this time the brand they have gone to is 1/3rd the quantity of the others for a little higher cost. Luckily we have a local hobby shop that does still carry the brand I prefer.

The store itself is amazing. I love their products. Clean, great displays, decent prices after discounts. Only reason I rated it a 3 is because their employees are less than enthusiastic and the managers are downright rude. They will talk to each other like they think the other person is a moron right in front of customers. Doesnt make for a great environment when you have to stand in line for seven minutes listening to it and wanting to stand up for the people getting treated poorly.

Went in for 2 items. Waited in one line for about 10 minutes when the woman in front of me had a cart full of returns I moved to another line where I waited several more minutes. When I finally got to the counter the clerk put up a closed sign and told me to go to another register. Excuse me? Never will I step foot in this store again. Three checkstands open with several people waiting in each one with 2 employees standing at the door asking people what area code they live in for a survey. Whoever manages this stores needs to be re-trained on how to run a front end and how to treat a customer. Pathetic experience!

Absolutely love this place. There selection is vast. Whenever I am in need of crafting supplies I can always find them at Hobby Lobby. Most of the time I find things that I didnt even think of using for my projects. The prices are very reasonable and comparable to the competitor. The atmosphere in the store is always welcoming. The store is very clean and hardly ever has freight left on the floor during business hours. The only thing Im not a fan of is that the cashiers have to hand type in the store discounts. So as a customer I have to memorize whats on sale because the cashiers dont always get it right.

Terrible experience with a price adjustment. Bought a table and the cashier did not give me the sale price. (A $60 diff) Went in the next day with my receipt, price tag and screenshot of the advertised price on their website and spoke to Melissa, the asst store manager. She was ready to argue as she approached me stating I had to bring in the table, which was too big for just one person to carry. I stated that was unreasonable to ask being it was a mistake that THEY had made. Further explained that in addition, the table had been put together incorrectly which caused a buckle on the surface of the table top which I only noticed when I got at home. My husband attempted to fix it and glue it back together which worked but still was inconvenient. She immediately brushed it off and said they hire a lot of young people and that happens frequently seemingly to make it OK. Not sure if the store manager shares the same attitude but she certainly did not have a concern for customer service or any kind except the poor kind. I will not go back to that store.

First time going to this store, and love everything in the store, I just didnt like the price of some of the stuff. I do a lot of arts and crafts and there prices on the little fake trees was way too much $10.00 for a pack of 5 to 6 small trees thats a little much? And a pack of the tiny animals was $5. something for about 6 or 8 tiny animals is a bit much too. But other than the price for there stuff I love the store. But I think I will be looking somewhere else for buy small animals and trees. But this is just one persons option.

While they do have some neat stuff, they also lack on some selections of very basic crafting items. That aside, my main complaint is about the staff. Every time Ive been in there & needed help finding something, I literally have had to chase an employee down. Whenever you start to walk towards them, they instantly start walking away. I even had one act like she didnt hear me as I repeatedly said excuse me & can you help me. Anytime you do get someone to help, they always seem to be in a rush & practically run to the item leaving you in the dust, then seem annoyed that they had to help you in the 1st place. Once its time for check out, you had better be ready to stand in line for a minimum 15min! They never have more than 2 registers open despite the length of the lines. Even though half the time there will be a 3rd employee wandering back & forth at the front watching the cashiers & customers. It can be somewhat uncomfortable at times the way it feels like they are keeping an eye on you.

I would like to thank the guy (Cody B) who is doing all he can to get people through the checkout line. While I was there, he was one of only two employees I saw on the floor. He called for help 2 times, to receive a phone call back - assuming from the manager - letting him know that he was the only one that was able to checkout. Um, Manager, that means you get off the phone and get out there and help your team. While I waited and was the 3rd in line, about 7 other people joined the line. Your team needs help and as a Manager that is where you get in and work with them! Today you lost a customer. I found what I needed on Amazon and it will be delivered tomorrow. Its important to strive all you can and by you sitting in the office, not doing whats needed for the guest, they will shop elsewhere and you will be completely out of a job. Go be a team player and help your team!

I have to tell you Im very conflicted in writing this review but I want to be very truthful. This is a Christian owned store of that I am sure, as it has all of the wonderful scripture decor and paintings and crafts that my wife loves to hang about our home. To create a home and love environment for our family. However when we went in there with our budget of $45 and the list of the things that were on sale, I was greatly disappointed. The items were clearly mismarked and it was very confusing. Nothing was as it was in the paper. I couldnt tell what was on sale and what wasnt and my wifes $45 budget turned into $102.98 very quickly. So I probably wont be going back to this craft store unless I know I have a good cushion to work with on the budget. Does seem like it has a lot more selection than our Michaels currently carries. If they could clean up their pricing, make it a little more user-friendly, that would sure help a lot.Also, the cashiers seem to be very new and thats all right. Maybe a little more training before you put them out on the floor. It did take 18 minutes while we were standing at the cashiers. Im not complaining, & I didnt complain at the time, just letting people know the cashiers are new and unfamiliar with the pricing and the cash register. Be prepared to wait a few minutes if you have the patience to do so.Overall : Not so happy experience. 🙄

Only my second time in there first time was when they first opened. I was amazed at all the stuff they have and the decent prices. The cashier greeted us with a smile and had a cheery demeanor. The only thing that made this review 4 stars was that their computer/register system doesnt automatically put the sale price when the cashier rings up the item. The cashiers have to hand change the price. In a world of convenience and low line wait times that seems counter productive.

While Hobby Lobby has an incredible variety of craft and home decor items I am regularly disappointed in their customer service. Today was particularly poor when one of their registers went down. They had maybe 4 or 5 staff members scurrying about attempting to troubleshoot the problem for several minutes. When they finally decided to open up a register, they opened one which did not help those customers who had been patiently waiting for several minutes. They are also chronically understaffed which is a problem in a store this size. A very perturbed customer.

For those things that arent on sale, they always have a coupon for 40% off. The bathroom is always clean. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star review is because sometimes they either forget an item is on sale or they think an item isnt part of of the department thats on sale. I was presently surprised to find that they were actually CHEAPER on all the particular things I needed than Joanns OR Michaels, and had items that I couldnt even find at Michaels. My only complaint is that they had a bunch of Christmas stuff on sale Buy one/get one but NOTHING had a price for the first one you buy. I initially loved shopping here because of their yarn selection, but after the service I received from their custom framing department I will never shop here again. I placed an order for some pictures to be customer framed, and the day they are supposed to be done keeps getting pushed back. Even when I spoke with the manager she advised me that they can’t guarantee anything. Then don’t have your employees say they can!!! Have a wide variety of items, and the employees are very good at helping you find (and figure out!) what you need. It can be a little confusing to find things at first, because the store is set up with the same items in multiple spots, but once you get used to that, its actually very useful. Rather than scissors beong in one spot in the store, for example, they might be with both paper crafts and sewing supplies, since youd need them for both. While they have a wide array of different items, they dont necessarily have a great selection of any one particular thing.

Was just denied service by a 30 year old worker who told me I could not be in the store because it was a special time for 60+ year olds, I am in my 30s. She was 30. There was literally two cars in the parking lot at 9:10am. I was one of them. There were NO other people in the store. I was wearing my government mandated mask. Hobby lobby has just about anything for crafts and home decorating that you could ask for. What I find is that the employees dont care much to help out. I dont mind usually but I had a question on one od their furniture pieces and all of the employees and managers were either on break or standing at the register talking amongst themselves. Overall though it is a good place to get ideas for decorating and when stuff goes on clearance you can get a goody deal. Finally, if you need Christmas stuff, they usually start receiving it in May.

I do have a complaint however with the checking out process. Honestly it is probably the worst I have ever seen. I really wish they would scan barcode items instead of manually entering each one because Im assuming this is why it takes so long to check out and the lines are always backed up. A gentlemen in front of me asked for a supervisor and the kid working who looked like he was maybe 18 apparently was the supervisor and was no help at all. all in all if your in a hurry and want to get in and out youd have better luck going to Wal-Mart!! if you have time to kill and dont mind standing in line longer then shopping this is your place, the only reason I didnt give 1 star is because of the selection and prices.

I had to wait in line for 15 minutes only two lines each with about 15 people . David who seemed to be in charge just stood watching and talking to another employee. He said I understand but you need to go back through the line. At that point I said clearly you don’t understand it’s your mistake I shouldn’t have to wait another 15 or 20 minutes. He would not help me and I again waited another 15 minutes or so . He finally decided to open a check stand not taking the next people in line. Once I got to the checkout I had to wait until he finished checking out people so he could help the young girl checking me out as she wasn’t sure how to do it. He would not look me in the eye no sorry for the wait just walked off. By far my worst experience at your store.

From the moment I walked into the Hobby Lobby in Redding CA. both the staff as well as their security mad e me feel like a criminal. They followed me from the time I walked in untilI left... I was certainly not made to feel welcome. Though the staff at the register was very accommodating and polite! Two 🌟s thanks to the girls attending the registers!!!

Awful customer service! I attenpted to return an item within the time frame allotted (45 days Instead of the 90 permitted) with the receipt AND the tags still on it. I realized when I got it home that it was damaged. They wanted to check the security cameras to see if it was actually broken when I purchased it! It was humiliating. I will not be shopping at a place that would do that to a customer who did all th ok ngs right over $20. Very disappointed.

Be sure not to accept a job at Hobby Lobby they lied to my son about wages and hours. Youll need three jobs to support yourself. They will only work you 15 hours a week all different ones mornings, evenings, nights and weekends.

Two cars in the parking lot at 9:30am, couldnt see any people in the store and I was wearing my mask. I was turned away at the front door because this was an hour exclusively for 60+ shoppers. Nothing about this is mentioned on their web page. So we have this straight, Hobby Lobby is PAYING an employee to turn AWAY business, what a genius business model ... IM NEVER GOING BACK!!!!

Im tickled pink we have a Hobby Lobby now. The prices are fair, the selections are fantastic, and there are actual sales clerks on the floor. My only complaint is that some of the clerks havent learned how to keep their areas clean, offer assistance, and smile. It will come. It is a new work code in Redding. 😄

I just have tried so hard to like this store. But I legit have failed to succeed. The employees never know what they have or to find it. The checkout process is RIDICULOUS and lengthy.Overall wouldn’t recommend. I am not a fan.

Make sure you check out the clearance isle!!! Hobby lobby literally has everything you can think of and always has good sales. And make sure you use a coupon for the pricey stuff. They always have a 40% coupon on their website

Awesome! You just never know where youll find what your looking for. Our youngest got two hermit crabs that just happen to be in the market for some prime Real Estate. Conch Shell is the preferred choice. A single shell can fetch a price tag of a few dollars to over $10. Hobby Lobby has a mixed assortment for $11.99 over 38 pieces from the shores of China. 15 were Conch Shells with plenty of Real Estate for future endeavours. Cleanliness & Friendly CSRs

They have alot of good products and I have to continue to go there but, I always spend more time in the line waiting to check out than I do actually shopping. Its very frustrating, they need better checkout service.
