Always leave grateful after my visits to Hoag Urgent Care. The convenience, facility and amazing staff has always made a painful visit calming. My last visit in particular with Ida Jelveh, PA, was both mentally and physically therapeutic. While under unrelated stress exacerbated by physical pain, Ida and her staff were empathetic, kind, and there to offer their full attention in providing the care I needed. Strongly recommend and will always be thankful for Hoag!

Great experience. Arrived a little after 9am on Saturday, was greeted upon entering, check-in was a breeze, waited in the lobby less than 10 minutes, then after vitals were taken the provider did a thorough exam including X-rays. Received a prescription for anti-inflamatories and a boot for my foot and I was on my way. In and out in an hour-ish. Great experience. Thank you for taking good care of me!

A Monday morning, 10-ish…..we waited all of 4 minutes. I was in charge of my grandson (my daughter had spoken with the front desk regarding her insurance for him) & we walked in to get his vitals The PA diagnosed & gave recommendations for OTC products. On to recovery & rest (+ TLC).

Went into Hoag today following a car accident yesterday where I got rear ended by a truck and experienced major whiplash and hit the back of my head. Told doctor A. Aguilera about my persisting headaches and neck pain since the accident, and she seemed to disregard it. She only ordered X-rays for my shoulder and back, not CT scans to check my head. I can’t understand why this was ignored even though I stated it was my biggest concern.I’ll need to make another appointment to get a better, more thorough check.Additional star given for the X-Ray girl who helped me (I think her name was Megan). She was very kind.

This is the BEST UC center in all of Orange County!!! You will absolutely love the office staff, the Nurses, and the Doctors! I have been to so many UC centers, and nothing compares to kindness, the thoughtfulness, the professional expertise they exude here. Please give this UC a try, youll never be sorry!

The treatment was timely. Tests were performed within a few minutes of my arrival. Technicians were helpful and explained what they were doing. Dr. Sattarzadeh was personable, performed several tests and provided me with a written referral to resolve my issues.

Hit or miss with the doctors. Rude male receptionist disregarded my concerns and told me to go to the ER instead of listening and scheduling me with a provider. I work at a Hoag affiliated office, so what a shame. I won’t be referring patients here any longer.

I made an appointment the night before. The office was busy and we were told that it would be a bit of a wait. 20 minutes after, the nurse who took us in, took my husband vitals, was friendly and courteus and explained the process. The doctor, was everything you would want in your primary doctor. Dr Caballero did a complete check up on him, explained throughly the problem, medications, etc. She was professional, caring, friendly and a good listener.

After 8 days of Covid I made an appointment at Hoag urgent care in Newport as I was still suffering with breathing, it was New Year’s Day at 5:30. On the dot they saw me and in one word Superb!! Dr Christina Kim and Dr Henry gave me every test under the Sun and relieved my anxiety, at the same time gave world class advice and a prescription that has helped my recovery, the place is spotless and the staff Hoag professionals. On New Year’s Day working with Kindness and quality of treatment only at Hoag.

I live in Newport on the Peninsula & Im so glad we have a Hoag Urgent Care nearby! I went in on a Monday morning because I had a bit of a cold and the wait was less than 30 mins. Nurse & Doctor saw me right away, very easy & smooth Urgent Care process and they took my blue cross blue shield insurance :)

Last night was not our first visit to Hoag Urgent Care, but it was one of our more serious ones. Our young daughter cut her finger and we were worried it needed stitches. They not only repaired her finger (no stitches), but helped keep her calm and comfortable. This is impressive, especially considering they do not specialize in pediatrics. So thank you for the exceptional care and compassion!

I made an appointment a few hours in advance and they sent me the forms to complete so when I arrived they took me right away. The person at the desk was extremely competent and knowledgeable as was the nurse who took my vitals and X-rays. Dr Moon then saw me snd was very attentive and wrapped my swollen foot for me. Top rate attention from everyone involved. I recommend them most highly.

I had to go to Hoag urgent care for a problem with my ankle. I made an online reservation which was very convenient. Checking in was almost instantaneous, it was that quick. My Doctor was Dr. V Nguyen. She was very nice and I found her to be an exceptional physician .I am a 72 yr old female who fell at home and had serious injuries that required a knowledgeable, experienced physician and not a NP.Dr. Nguyen asked me a lot of questions and ordered the necessary X-Rays immediately. I left feeling extremely pleased with my treatment by the Hoag staff and especially Dr. Nguyen.

Ive been to hospitals and urgent cares across 6 states and this experience has been the best. The staff are kind. I waited for less than ten minutes both times Ive been here. At some facilities you can feel like youre just being processed if that makes sense. Not here. All the staff (and NP Julie specifically) really listened, showed genuine concern, and considered multiple possible causes for my condition. It makes a difference and Ill remember it. Thank you!

This facility is top “dog” Staff very professional including front office, Back office staff and technicians. Wait time under 1/2 hr with onsite lab for lab work and same day lab results. This is my HMO plan. Facility is open everyday with great hours. Top notch Hoag urgent care

It’s the best Urgent Care in Newport Beach! I waited for 8 minutes and they took me to a room. The wait was minimal and all the staff were so professional. I tested positive for Covid- .19. I’m just so fortunate I went there. They also noticed difficulty breathing and wheezing. They took care of the Asthma while I was there. We were scheduled to go to D.C. in 3 days so I’m forever grateful for the excellent care by Dr. E. Delavega gave me. I would have had these two serious illnesses in D.C. plus infecting people!

Just two days before Christmas, Physician Assistant Kelly was very accommodating even though she was expecting at any moment. After the prescriptions had been sent, I learned that the requested pharmacy had beenclosed for over an hour. When the prescriptions were again ready to be sent to the second pharmacy that pharmacy was closing momentarily. They had to be sent to a third pharmacy, a 24 hour pharmacy, just as the Hoag Urgent Care itself was closing. They got it all done. Everyone helped, including the receptionist, the medical assistant, and Kelly I’m very appreciative of the kindness and helpfulness and getting this done at closing time. They were all great!

They show the wait time on their website before I head over. Usually I found the wait time is even estimated over what it actually is. Easy to find parking and very friendly staff. I have had several recent trips to the Hoag urgent care in Newport. I had a deep laceration and also a couple of stitches. I had been following up every couple of days until the last visit and I came back today to get stitches out. I didn’t have to wait long and the stitches were taken out, and I was given homecare instructions on how to change the dressing myself at home now that the bleeding has stopped. The staff is very caring and knowledgeable.

The care is excellent but the scheduling needs something to be desired. I logged in to schedule at 2pm and the soonest appt I got was 6:43pm. Thats almost a 5 hour wait. I decided to walk in earlier than my confirmed appt, there was only 1 waiting person in the front office. I got in as soon as my identification and insurance was confirmed. Next time I will just walk in instead of setting up an appt.

I had cut my hand the night before and called Hoag Urgent Care the at 8:00am Henry the X - Ray Technician took my call and said i could come in right away, he was so great on the phone and made it very easy to check in when I got there.Once I got there I filled out paper work and they had me in a room almost immediately. Henry cleaned up my hand and was so gentle and walked through everything. Once that was done Dr. Stella came in and was also so great and kind and knowledgeable. She made me very comfortable throughout the entire process and got my hand stitched up right away and it never hurt, both her and Henry were amazing!Not the mention the facility was so clean and beautiful inside, they take every pro caution to keep you safe before you even get in the building!Again thank you very much Henry the x-ray technician and Dr. Stella for making my bad situation much better! By the time you reach your 40’s, (and especially if you have kids), you’ve been to a few urgent care facilities...This is hands down the best I’ve ever been to in any state. I brought my daughter in for a strep test and minor respiratory issue (in the height of the zombie apocalypse). The staff was awesome and communicative while we waited in the car for our turn for treatment. The doctor (an actual MD unlike many urgent cares that save money with PAs or NPs) was kind, compassionate, and thorough. I would recommend that you stay healthy, but if you have to get sick... come here. If anyone that can affect thanking the staff, visit was 3/7/21 at 10am.Thanks again for providing great care AND customer service.

My family have not had much luck with urgent care facilities. Miss diagnosing phnemonia on a 9 month old srating just a cold. That all changed when we started going to Hoag. Other than one incident with Dr. Moon, the care we receive here has been outstanding. I am grateful to be ablee to have this option. Making an appointment with my regular doctor is a monyh wait.

I was apprehensive in walking into Urgent Care rather than emergency cause I wanted to be sure whomever I saw would be thorough and not rushed. I didn’t want the long wait of emergency plus I didn’t think my situation was an emergency state. After Dr. Moon walked into the room and began chatting about my symptoms I knew I was in good hands. She was incredibly thorough, patient, kind and very informative. Right away she requested we do certain tests to rule out any major concerns which is exactly what I wanted. I’ve never felt so at ease with a doctor taking her time to explain in detail what was going on. I walked in full of worry and left feeling completely at ease. The staff, reception and nurses, were all so kind as well. It’s a very warm and caring environment. Thank you for such great care.

Check in was very easy. Wait was very minimal. Facilities were very clean. Dr. Sattarzadeh was very kind, knowledgable, professional, and took his time to listen. My injury involved taking care of my pet passing away and he was very kind and empathetic while listening and trying to get to the bottom of what the cause of my pain was. He did not pause to get the xrays done and reviewed with me quickly but thoroughly, knowing I had another appointment quickly following. He also did not hesitate to create a stat referral to follow up with an Orthopedic. I wish all doctors were this pleasant and efficient. I truly appreciated that on what was a long hectic & painful day.

Honestly if I could give a rating of zero, I would. I am visiting from Toronto Canada for an extended holiday and went to the clinic for a simple infection that required sending a sample to their lab. The clinic was supposed to contact me after 3-5 days. They did not. I called on days 4,6,8 and 11. Each time I got the runaround. On day 12 I was informed that the sample was lost. I quickly went back to the clinic to give another sample and was assured that the results would be back in 3 days... Guess what? I called on day 4 and no results. On day 5 they finally called me to say that they lost the new sample. Ru kidding me. The care and treatment I received at this place was so disturbing and disgusting. I would suggest that you take your health concerns elsewhere

My daughter got a bad cut on her face and needed stitches so we rushed off to Hoag urgent care. They were able to get us in straight away even without a reservation. The entire staff, nurses and doctors were so kind to my daughter and made her feel great the whole time, and they were able to use glue instead of stitches to make this a less traumatic experience. I highly recommend this urgent care if you have young children.

Beyond excellence! I was at Hoag urgent care yesterday for a possible broken bone. Absolutely wonderful experience! They treat you like both your problem and your time really matter to them and are important to them. They quickly took X-rays and ruled out Broken bone. Quite a relief. Needed a COVID test for surgery. I had appointment and arrived early. All paperwork is done online when you make your appointment They asked if I wanted to come into the office for the test. I asked if they could come to the car. They came quickly after a few short questions. No big lines, no sick walk up patients. I felt super safe and loved the quick response. I was done before my original appointment time. I’ve never been here before, but definitely will go back. They have lots of appointments available and video calls.

Making an appointment online does nothing. If a walk in checks in at the same time as you, you are seen fore they are - that is all making and appointment online gets you. I had an appointment and still had to wait over an hour to be seen. Id of been better going as a walk in when it was convenient for me to do so (i.e first thing in the morning). making an online apt doesnt get you anything over walk ins, in terms of a shorter wait time

I was a patient who went for a pre-Surgery Covid test. After I finally got thru the phone tree to speak with a human all went well. I arrived on time and waited only a few minutes to be called in. The nurse who took my vitals was very sweet, and explained every step of the procedure. When the doc came in she again explained the procedure. She was cheerful and upbeat and explained how the results would be sent. All in all, my experience was great. If the phone tree can be fixed Ill give the vlinic a 5+. For now, a 4 will do. Been dealing with a cold with a low grade fever that just wouldn’t go away. Friday my doctor couldn’t see me but said if I woke up and still had a temp to head over to Urgent Care for a chest X-ray. The wait room was full (Saturday at noon) and I waited just under an hour. The staff was very friendly and offered waters. Finally in the room and the doctor listened to all my symptoms. She recommended a flu test and throat culture to rule out other causes before doing a chest X-ray. Turns out I have strep. I’ve had it before and these symptoms were not at all the same so I was really surprised. I’m very appreciative that the doctor took the time to diagnose prior to doing a chest X-ray to save me the unnecessary radiation. The office sent the prescription to my pharmacy and I picked it up on the way home. I would highly recommend Hoag Urgent Care. And if you have a cold with fever that you just can’t shake, drag yourself in like I did. Strep is not one to mess with and even though it’s still early in season, it’s out there!

I had a COVID-19 scare and found out that my consultation over the phone with my primary care physician wouldnt be for a couple of days. I did not want to wait for a referral for lab testing, so I asked my friends if they had gotten a test somewhere in Orange County. One woman told me about Hoag Urgent Care and how easy and quick it was for her to seek and complete lab testing for COVID-19. I didnt believe her, but I was willing to drive myself to the Superior Avenue location she went to to see if I could get in and see a doctor right away.The wait time for arrival, initial paperwork and the application of the test was less than an hour on a Friday night. Dr. Riutzel was professional, accommodating, and took his time with administering the test. He disclosed to me that the lab result may take 5-10 days to come back to his office, but I found out in 4 days. He called and asked for verbal consent to disclose the outcome of the test, which I agreed to. I was negative and was so happy that this process was truly a breeze while being very scared about my predicament. Thank you to him and the support staff at this location for making my COVID-19 scare less intense and delivering such good news! A+ help and care!

I went in to to see physician. I was sick for 8 days and was feeling terrible. My kids were sick too but their pediatrician gave my kids anti-biotics to help them. They are fine now. The physician at Hoag urgent care refused to give me anti-biotics or anything that helped. I am now on day 12 going to ER for real help. Its as if physician at Hoag urgent care gets points for not writing anti-biotic prescriptions. Do not go here they will gladly take your money and do nothing for you. I am so fortunate that when I went to Hoag Urgent Care on Superior in Newport Beach last weekend that I saw Dr. Millie Surati. For several months I have had a sinus issue that no one seemed to be able to assess, primarily because it was a sinus infection, while not rare, was in a more uncommon area of the skull.
