Its cute little downtown. Mostly places to eat and a few shops. One Christmas shop for sure I will never visit again. The ladies were very rude. We did visit hakone Gardens. What a beautiful Hidden Gem. Cant wait to see it in the spring. Check it out online before you go. You may be able to be part of their daily tea ceremony. We missed the last one for December and the next one happens in Spring.

A beautiful used book store. You find books on practically every subject, be it fiction, science, political etc. well kept and very reasonably priced. If lucky you might find book which you have been looking for long. People running this store are very polite, helpful and friendly.

Downtown Saratoga is a beautiful place to stroll with your friends, family, and four-legged pooches with plenty of wonderful wine bars and delicious unique restaurants.

Everything is closed here. So many stores vacant. I would not recommend. Barn Owl is empty. It looks like a ghost town here. The florist that should be open is not open. No reason to come to this little spot. It’s extremely disappointing in all ways. Not much parking here at all unless you come here early. It’s certainly not historic anymore and it’s very sad since this used to be a cute little place to shop many years ago but not anymore. It looks extremely run down and not taken care of at all. Don’t waste your time to come here.

There are so many different types of shops and many restaurants. I love taking my guests here. They all enjoy Saratoga village. Its nice and quaint.

Hoity Toity village, expensive but very quaint. Lots of cute shops and restaurants up and down the street. Lots of history here. This neighborhood sits at the bar of the foot hills. Easy to access to and from the freeway. Fun place to explore and take guests. You can find something fun for everyone.

Had a fabulous dinner at Hongs Gourmet. Always very good food and service. Had a cocktail at the Bank too. Classic Dive Bar!I grew up in Saratoga. So many new restaurants. Such a beautiful town.

A beautiful spot to wander round. Quaint shops and boutiques with a stunning backdrop. Plenty of parking off the main street also. Go have an ice cream at the Basin Cafe and pickup some coffee beans for home. Or one of the many craft beers at Many Friends brewery. July sees the street closed for the car show.

Small downtown- like area. Parking near some locations are limited (not super convenient, may need to walk a few blocks). Only 1 street in and out and speed limit is 25mph, so traffic can be slow at busier times (lunch, dinner in particular). There are some really good places to eat and the farmers market is quaint, but not really a place for spending the day shopping or browsing stores.

Quaint, but tight and limited shops. Its the never ending trend of rich neighborhoods having cute little main street drags, filled with shops that have limited, unique items (aka no practical use), price them beyond comprehension, and ensure you have hours accessible only to people who dont have a job to go to. But the fish and chips spot is halfway decent.

Rose garden is the place to eat if you want delicious Iranian grilled meats side by side with fresh greens like parsley and sides that’s comforting to the mind and soul. The meats are just right in juiciness, tenderness and taste. I just love the environment as well in both areas (one located in Mountain View).

Down town Saratoga is a much under rated small town village. There are restaurants, shops, and of course plenty of banks. Lots of parking available behind the stores and shops. A nice walk from the beginning to up the street.

This is one of the nicest and coziest downtowns I have seen in California. It’s a must see place. Parking space is kinda limited during the busy hours. But you can always park couple blocks further down from the main shops and restaurants and walk in the historic Basin Street m.

Although small, really just located on Big Basin Way, the stores and restaurants are great. It has a super laid back feel with outdoor dining. People come from all over the bay area to enjoy Saratoga. It is also very near to the Wine Trail for all those vineyard lovers out there.

Look I grew up here and honestly....eh. Theres some okay restaurants. The coffee shop (not the brand name one) is very good....great food. Its fairly quiet sleepy town so if you want a quiet meal or cup of coffee....then my town is for you! If you are looking for a bunch of activities.....not so much but it has a wonderful park close to downtown.

This is a challenging review for the simple reason that I need to separate out from here so many of the businesses and restaurants that Id rate with five stars, but this review is about the village as a whole. On the one hand, its out-of-the-way location lends itself to a quirky past, a transitional place between Silicon Valley and the various westward mountain communities. The village acts as a gateway to redwood forest adventures, but to enjoy it, one must stop rather than just drive through. Ideally, the village could use more public spaces for such stops.Where other downtowns have expanded and reconstructed into Anywhere USA, Saratoga Village invites visitors to explore Santa Clara Countys humble past. Mostly, the village is community-centric, and isnt that what we want from our downtowns? A strong sense of place, complete with out-of-sync architecture in contrast its modern neighbors, but this is where historic comes into play. There are certainly underutilized spaces that could be sensitively brought into modern use without the loss of character. In the meantime, the village has something for everyone that I would never want to see succumb to what has happened elsewhere. With all its inclusions, Historic Saratoga Village is a real jewel to those who can appreciate it.

As far as I’m concerned, Saratoga is one of the Bay Area’s best kept secrets, and I hope it stays that way. It’s a quaint Main Street with a good mix of restaurants that cater to all pockets (including those whose pockets are deep), fun and unusual shops, and lots of free parking up and down the street. And for kids, Wildwood Park is just off the Main Street.

Beautiful village feeling to downtown Saratoga. Lots of excellent restaurants & wine tasting places. Only one good coffee place that also sells brunch food & gelato. No good bakeries, and a very weird parking lot surrounded by odd stores and businesses that really must go. This is not really a good window shopping place: you pick a restaurant and head for it. For a small town, there are many bank branches.
