2024-05-08 14:40:03Best grits in LA !! What a dope spot that highlights blackness and positivity.I highly recommend HILLTOP Coffee + kitchen Inglewood. The service was top tier, the Ethiopian drip coffee was hot and fresh, and the grits and tater tots were perfect. My son got the Nutella beignets… he devoured them. Now this is a popular spot for folks working and meet ups, so the atmosphere was bustling but in a great way. Lots of people connecting over coffee in the community.Take the time to explore the entire space for some cultural gems in the artwork and decor. They don’t open until 8am, which is pretty typical for Cali businesses… definitely worth the time.

2024-04-29 01:11:18Stopped by here quickly with my partner to grab a drink and some food. The atmosphere and vibe was really nice and cool. The place itself is really nice and clean. Also seems like a good place to study. My partner got a dirty chai and we really enjoyed it. The service was also on point for the short time I was there. Only con honestly was the breakfast burrito we got. The burrito just had no flavor. The texture of the eggs and hash browns were amazing though. There was just no seasoning so it made it hard to eat. By no means did it have a bad taste, it just had NO taste. The eggs, hash browns and beans tasted like nothing. My burrito came hot but had unmelted cheese which threw me off haha but thankfully my partner didn’t have that issue. Adding bacon helps but it is extra. Unfortunately we just weren’t able to finish it. I’m not familiar with the other food items so I’m just speaking my experience for what I got. If it was a bit cheaper it wouldn’t have hurt so much lol. Total came to about 57 with one drink and two burritos. Includes tip and service fee

2024-05-15 17:36:07Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen in Inglewood is a fantastic spot! On my first visit, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. Lynette, my server, was exceptional with her attentive and friendly service. The Purple Haze and tasty beignets were both top-notch. I highly recommend checking it out—definitely a 5/5 experience!

2023-12-05 08:35:24The vibe here is EVERYTHING!! who needs Starbucks when you have great food, great music, sweets and coffee right here. I ordered the Bangin breakfast sandwich and it was absolutely delicious!! The egg was fried to perfection, the brioche bun was soft and buttery, the cheese had that perfect melt and I opted for the beyond sausage patty which was a great choice. For my meat lovers you can choose between a turkey sausage patty or bacon and this sandwich also comes with a spicy mayo*chefs kiss*.The service was just ok, the cashier was a little dry but nothing major. Since the holidays are just about here, the Christmas decor was super cute and they have a holiday latte to keep you in the Christmas spirit, its the Sweet Potato Latte(not pictured). This drink screamed Christmas and was super good. The only thing that I didnt care for was that the drink itself is pretty thick and the sweet potato puree could have been blended up a bit more. I am not a fan of puree chunks coming through my straw with every sip. However, the flavor profile was great and it was a very delicious latte (definitely give it a try).Hilltop has a lot of great workspace options between bar seating, couches, booths and open space seating...all of these options are very comfy and cozy. Theres meter parking available if you want to park near the coffee shop. I parked in a near by shopping center and walked to the restaurant, it was free and I got my steps in too( who doesnt like a two-fer😁). Nonetheless, Hilltop was awesome and I will definitely return. It was a great way to start my busy day that was ahead of me, swing by if youre in the Inglewood area.

2023-07-01 18:31:20Beautiful coffee house with peaceful, quiet ambiance. My daughter ordered a lemonade and strawberry/ banana toast, my husband a pistachio latte and banging breakfast burrito, I had a banging burrito and a lavender latte. Everything was absolutely delicious, I was not expecting that amount of flavor from the coffee. The notes of lavender were so soft, tasty but not overly sweet. The breakfast burrito was so fresh, the eggs were cooked to perfection. My daughters toast was also really good, it was topped with cream cheese and honey. My husbands latte was also so surprisingly good. The young lady at the register was super friendly and polite, and portions are pretty good-sized.

2023-12-06 22:29:54Issa Rae did that ! This is the perfect coffee shop not too far from Inglewood located in LA . What I loved about this coffee shop was the upstairs area where photos captured pretty much the youth of young African American males in LA, it was giving very much I haven’t forgot where I came from !Hilltop is a perfect coffee shop to get some work completed while grabbing a coffee & small breakfast bites . The noise level was almost at minimal level. Inside if you’re a fan or want to support even further she has merch inside for sale along with bags of roasted coffee beans . I loved the oversized digital menu on the wall as well which makes it convenient for more than one person to view the menu before stepping up to the counter to order .I can tell that she gets a lot of support from the neighborhood from the start of us walking into the establishment. You have the option to indulge in your order downstairs or upstairs ! Super cool coffee shop & I would definetly come back again when I’m in town .

2024-01-31 06:29:33Stopped for a coffee in the morning while staying at LAX. Pleasantly surprised by their Lavender Latte prepared with their in-house made syrup. The ambience was perfect and mins away from LAX. The croissant was good as well.

2023-10-03 05:55:49I finally made my way to Hilltop Coffee! Ive been wanting to check this coffee spot out ever since I saw it on Insecure. Its been at the top of my list! When the day arrived, I had very high expectations. Some things were met and some were not. The service and the restrooms were not ok. But the coffee and the food were amazing! The lady who took our order acted as if she did not want to be there. But then to my surprise, when the couple behind us ordered, she magically seemed to love her job and was very nice. Hmmmm The restrooms were dirty and gross and just felt unclean. Both our coffees were great and our food was delicious! Hubby got a chicken sandwich which he said was one of the best he has had in a while. I got avocado toast which was different, but good.Since the service was wack, I probably will not come back to this location.

2023-08-01 12:14:49This place is truly a “hilltop” — a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city, embracing diversity, art, and good vibes all around. The customer service was fantastic. As for the grub, we got the matcha chata and wild orange tea and loved them both. The tortilla soup gave more tomato soup vibes to me, but the breakfast sandwich was perfect! All the ingredients were thoughtful and healthy, which we really appreciated. Also, this place is packed with cute little nooks and open workspaces. Great place to study or catch up on your favorite book. Highly recommend!
