I highly recommend working with Curt. I worked with Curt to make a significant industry change that I would have struggled to do on my own, and I am very grateful for the entire process -- from preliminary self-reflection all the way to the first 90 days of the new job.Curt provided feedback, support, and coaching throughout the entire process. Choosing my next move in career was always a task filled with anxiety for me. Curt made me realize, that it was actually okay to feel some anxiety, that does not make me less compared to others. His course has a very good structure which includes meditation, how to hunt for the job with a plan etc,. You have to follow up with all the weekly action items and yes, Curt makes you accoutnable for them :)After three months, I gained more self-awareness, and realized that answers are within me.

I have worked with Curt for about 14 years. I consider him one of the smartest, most insightful and sensitive people I know. I engaged Curt as a personal coach a few years ago when I was planning on refocusing my career and my work. My natural tendency was to jump into the details, but Curt encouraged me to take time to step back and look at the bigger picture of what was important to me, and where my interests and skill sets where. An especially powerful aspect of this approach was his recommendation to do a 360 degree survey of former clients, peers and others. This feedback provided objective and insightful recommendations on where I should place my focus and how I should market and promote my strengths. The process took quite a lot of work on my part, but it was powerfully worthwhile.

He helped provide a structured approach to a process that can feel very amorphous.Yes, he had helpful tips, templates, tools, etc. But more importantly, he had a philosophy that grounded a search in an understanding of what matters most to his client. No other career coach has helped me as much as Curt. What made him great was his deep understanding of my situation. He made me feel he knew exactly what I was going through. After an involuntary job transition, I had the good fortune to be able to work with Curt on updating my job search collateral. He is a great combination of insight and empathy. He gets you to make the changes that may seem unpleasant at first, but with his guidance and encouragement, you realize they are necessary and that hes correct. Faced with the prospect of having to contact people not in my active network I was second-guessing my approach and trying to wade through many advice articles on the subject. Curt was instrumental in helping me improve my personal branding and introduced me to a networking approach that significantly improved my results. He uses a “centralizing” technique or ritual to start every session which I really appreciate to be fully focused and ready for the session. He has helped me tackle a few issues I was facing and the structures I created - I am still referring to till today. Update:After 3 sessions with Curt, my interview skills improved greatly, and I was invited to the finial round of interview with my dream company. To better prepare for this 3-hour long interview, I asked Curt for another session, during this session, I mainly asked the questions I had in mind. The result was fantastic, for the first time, I had fun and enjoyed the interview.When I eventually got the offer from my dream company and one other company. Curt helped me make strategy on how to response to both sides, compare the offers, revising the email draft.I want to points out that the jobs and companies I applied are in different industry from my previous employer, it’s not easy, and I won’t be able to achieve what I did without Curt’s help.Once again, I highly recommend Higher Gear Coaching and Curt. Everyone’s case is unique, sometimes you just cannot get the answer from the YouTube Video, having someone that can answer your question, and address your need can go a long way. When I see the return of investment, it’s all worth it.Original:Curt helped me to prepare for my interview. We had 3 sessions together, the first one was more of a lecturing, the second and third were mock interview. It was done over the zoom meeting, and Curt record the sessions, so I can focus on learning instead of taking the notes.
