Awesome place they have a huge selection, one of the largest selection Ive ever seen.I checked out the Whiskey, Tequila and Mezcal section.The staff was very helpful, very knowledgeable and very honest when helping you make your decision.I would definitely visit here again.Wish I had brought more money.

Honestly, one of the best liquor selections that I’ve come across. The bourbon section is super strong. Prices are some of the lowest that you’ll see for retail across-the-board.They do have some allocated bottles that are priced toward secondary but some of those are dusties that are impossible to find.

Quite possibly the best stocked liquor store Ive ever seen! Such an incredible variety. Im into rums and most stores only carry Bacardi-type products. This shop has literally hundreds of different rums! And the best part? Lowest prices Ive seen AND it is a family owned business!

This is easily the best liquor store in the area. I am a child and so can not buy liquor but I have never been kicked out of here for buying sodas and that is the main point i want to bring up. The specialty soda collection is great with a lot of high quality sodas for very low prices. You can get drinks here that are double the price anywhere else and there is a good variety. The employees here are all absolutely lovely and helpful. I love checking in this store regularly just to see if they have anything new for me to try and review. Overall this store is fantastic and the from what i can tell the liquor selection seems excellent as well.

We live about an hour and half away but love this place so much that we are willing to make the drive when its time to stock up. Whether it be for our own weekend fun drinks or the events we plan throughout the year, this is where we get all our liquor. They have everything we need, including The Breezeway Blend. They also have awesome employees. Always so helpful and knowledgeable. 100% recommend.

This is probably the best stocked spirits store within 100 miles. And it has an adequately functional website too. Their order and delivery service works well. This would be a 5 star review but for two things: 1. The store itself is not very clean. 2. The website does not accurately reflect their stock. In fact, I found several items at their store that are not listed on their website, and that their own staff said was not in stock. Both those things indicate some disorganization, that, should they correct, would make shopping a better experience.

The store every enthusiast dreams of! Room after sprawling room absolutely stuffed with wine from floor to ceiling. From every region and for every price point. Helpful signs all over educate about regions, styles, grapes, flavors, producers. Theres also a week stocked variety of liquors, and a wonderful selection of interesting amaros, aperitifs, etc. Theres also a cigar room, cheeses, tasting opportunities, educational classes, and bar accessories for your browsing pleasure. I cant wait to return. A must-see!

My personal experience...there was a creepy older man in parking lot filming me, my license plate, and car. He claimed his name was Pod, when I asked, and wanted me to help him garden. I asked for his manger, he stated I should call the manager of TargetI. I believed him because I thought I was in the Target parking lot. I tried to take his photo, but he suddenly disappeared. After a few phone calls I learned he is allegedly Dianas brother. I understand siblings own different sections of the complex Hi Time? He does not work for Target The man, in hat and sunglasses, it appears takes care of Hi Time landscape. I want my photo/ filming erased as I am not a public person; if his siblings are reading this comment. I could say more, but you get my point.

I have to post this review just because of the service I get here time and time again. It’s not even mediocre it’s like it doesn’t even matter if I spend my money here and support this business. Chuck Hansen would be so disappointed if he knew how you could walk into the import aisle and be browsing and the employees have private conversations with regulars and don’t take the time to ask if you want a recommendation on anything. Or when you’re checking out and you have to triple check your receipt because you’ve been double charged for product one too many times before. And the overall feeling by employees feels detached and uninterested and I just want to leave this review as a reminder to everyone at Hi Time that your store has room for improvement and for the longevity this business has been here should be a testament to quality customer experiences not the opposite. There’s only so far “A good selection”will get you.

I don’t know where to start. I spent 2 hours here after work and I didn’t even get to the wine. When you go to big brand name liquor stores, your selection is essentially identical. This place has all the standard brands but has a phenomenal selection of liquors I’ve never heard or seen before. Best part- the prices. A 1.5 L of wood Ford reserve is cheaper here than (co, cost)

Tracy’s family has created a unique and most fabulous gourmet shop that will titillate any and all senses that you have. Just thinking about it makes me want to go there. When I run out of my Italian Maraschino cherries, I head immediately to high times. If I want the best homemade, local humus with outrageously delicious fresh herbs, I make my way to the refrigerator next to the cash register.If you just want to feel like you’re on vacation at a high end gourmet shop somewhere far, far away, there is literally nowhere better. I took my high school friend from Oceanside and she keeps telling me she must go back to get a special elderberry infused gin.Just thinking about them makes me want to go there immediately but it’s daylight savings, dark out and their doors are closed for the evening.Don’t wait another moment, you can’t miss this high end gourmet experience. If you’re a foodie, forget about it, there’s simply nowhere better. I actually would say they are one of the best stores Costa Mesa and for sure Newport Beach has! High tail yourself there, you will not be disappointed and the holidays are upon us. Maybe that spectacular high end tequila for the low end price, the salesman showed me the last time I was there. Placed in Oak and Cognac barrels!

This is our all around favorite place to buy liquor. The selection is huge and staff is the most knowledgeable around. The love what they do and will take the time to hear your thoughts and guide you in the right direction. And if you come in blindly without a clue, theyll patiently educate you. Awesome selection with fast, affordable delivery in California. I did not have to go from store to store looking for rare finds like Herbsaint. I just had to place an order! Shipping to San Jose area was $12.95 or so and it was fast. They packaged each bottle very carefully. The smaller bottle was even double protected within the Styrofoam. Im so happy. Its like Christmas. I learned over the years that replacing key ingredients is a mistake: if a recipe calls for Herbsaint, use it: it costs more but has a unique liquorish flavor.

They only sell these items: beer,wine liquor,choclate,coffee, jelly beans and tobacco . That said it is said that this may be the biggest wine cellar west of the Mississippi. The price are phenomenal. It is also been said that they have 3 storage areas totaling 150,000sqft that feen that one store. If they do not have it, trust me you did not need it.

Knowledge amongst staff member seem to vary, ranging from some with absolutely no knowledge to experts. Once we found the right people, they were excellent with recommendations.You could go broke in this place, there are just so many amazing options. Be forewarned that Allocated Bourbon are set at Museum prices. Seems to be, the rarer it is, the higher the markup, with the regular stuff being fairly priced.

This is my go to liquor store. Ya, theyre 45+ miles away, but well worth the drive. Im a Rum junkie and they always have an incredible selection. From my favorite Kauai distilled and bottled Koloa Rums to Appleton, and everything in between, they have ya covered. Whiskey your thing, no sweat! As far as spirits, wine and beer go, you name it they have it. I like a hard to find ice wine, they have it, I love good tequila they have from average quality to the best made, One of my favorites is almond flavored tequilla called almondrada orindaned. I had a friend I worked with who made trips to Mexico and always brought me back a bottle. When he retired he moved and no more tequila, I found a similar type but wasnt the same. But High Times has it.They also have other party helpers like mixers, ice, shot glasses, anything you need to through an adult party they have.

This is adult Disneyland. This is the Premier Wine and Spirits shop in Southern California, and it is world famous if you are in the Wine and Spirits World. Head to a Scottish Distillery and say your from Southern California and they will ask in hushed tones if Hi-Times is as amazing as people say it is. When I was a kid we rode our bike here after school and bought Jelly BellysToday I get me Tequila from this place. Pricing is good not great but the availability and the selection that this place offers is the best in California. I live about 3.5hrs north of This place and stopped by once because I was in the area. I was amazed by the selection and prices. Customer service always friendly and knowledgeable. My first time there was about three years ago and now, every time I find myself going south for any reason, I stop by and restock on my favorite tequila and whiskey. I also grab a bottle of a tequila I unfamiliar with because well, they have so many, might as well taste some of the ones I dont know. It is also worth mentioning that you can order online and they will ship it for a flat rate. Works great for me because I do not go south as often and I can still buy from this great place. Again, cannot beat selection and prices. Every question Ive had, they have always had an answer for me. They always have my favorite tequila in stock and at a much better price than elsewhere. This place ROCKS! I placed an order for some relatively cheap, but hard to find vodka online with Hi Times. I gave the wrong address when doing so! Katie the shipping manager not only dealt with the shipping company but fixed my order and sent out a new one when the previous shipping agency couldn’t deliver the package. I have been going to this place for years and have never been disappointed in their selection, prices, and the helpfulness of their staff. I really like the clearance section of the spirits. I always end up with one or two bottles of something to try. Just recently I noticed they do gift wrapping. This was awesome being Fathers Day. For $2.50 they wrapped it and put a really nice bow. It worked out great. If you are looking for that hard to find liquor or wine, this would be the place I start my search.

I love my cashier. Great customer service from the lady up front. They have a great selection of alcohol that you normally won’t find at the liquor store or grocery stores. There are some unique beer brands I’ve never seen before. I’m not much of a drinker and stopped by to grab some for a dinner party with a special request and found what the hosts wanted. I needed an order sent quickly so, as suggested on their website, I called first thing Monday morning rather than order online. Ryan helped me out on the phone. He was extremely helpful and did a great job setting up my order. They shipped it the same day and I have the bottles now (Wednesday) for the weekend. I was really impressed by how fast they shipped that for me. One minor thing though, they didnt include the tubes for the Irish whiskey I ordered. Im still giving them the full 5 star rating for price, customer service and shipping turnaround. In the future Ill remember to ask for the tubes. They have everything from $1000 bottles of wine (the wine cellar is amazing) to bargains that taste like they should cost 3 times as much. Massive selection from all over. This place had my favourite obscure brand of sparkling wine that no one else carries. After graduating from UCI in the 70s, my friends and I would scrape together a few bucks and go to Hi-Time. Wed buy a big port or a Sauternes and share the bottle across 7-10 people. Over the years, as my budget grew and my palate expanded, I learned more, bought more, and shared each bottle with fewer people. Hi Time is a place where you can find exactly what you need. The staff taste the wines and most are pretty good at pairing. I find that some prices are reasonable, while others (like French wines) are a bit over the top. But the selection is the best, and Ive never missed with anything they recommended.

I’m not really sure what they’re arrogant about, but Old Man Bourbon, for example, is just kind of obnoxious and definitely doesn’t social distance. No matter what your vice, Hi-Time will have it. The wine cellar in the back is expansive and elegant. The liquor shelves are urbane, yet priced to please and stocked to satisfy. Walk in beer cooler much larger than any in Orange County. Finally, the humidor is the best in California- the whole state. Sean is the purchaser, and an awesome dude. The family run operation is world class, just ask and theyll figure out your vice needs.

Went there on the recommendation of a local, and found their selection amazing, though the pricing wasnt what Id hoped for. It mightve been the time of year I was there, September, that was a problem, but I had a list of specific California wines of a recent vintage, and while they had wine from nearly every grower, they had none of the vintage I was seeking. I did leave with some very lovely wines, all for laying down, and was especially pleased to find an unusual Honey Gin I had not been able to find at home, on their shelves. Its in my liquor cabinet now, and come to think of it, I think Ill have some more of it some time tomorrow!

Wow. A plethora of wines from all regions. some wines are really great price point and yes, some are expensive but theyre worth of their price aswell. Staff was polite, knowledgeable and patient. I love RUM, They have more rum than Ive ever seen in my life. I make one monthly visit there and always grab one of the workers to get advice on which new rum to try. So far Ive probably asked 6 different people over the time Ive been going and EVERYONE of them know there rum... Im not sure if by sheer luck they all like rum instead of the other spirits?..Or they are that knowledgeable about all of them... if so WOW. I recommend asking for a recommendation while there and just get to talking... you wont regret it.

Amazing selection. Theyve got a good stemware area as well. The only downside is that they close on the early side. If you dont live close by but still live in CA its also fairly reasonable to ship a case at $10.

A fantastic selection, particularly of spirits all for a decent price when compared to the supermarket or a place like bevmo. The staff can be a touch hard to find but well worth asking since they are also really knowledgeable and they have on site tasting for some select wines. This is definitely the place to go for everything from a kegger, to a homebar restocking, to a fancy party, and even for planing a beer tasting. Cant recommend highly enough, a little slice of paradise for alcohol haha

This place is awesome. I consider myself a wine and spirits snob and this is my happy place. Literally have everything you could possibly want. Liquor in all sizes, 50mL-1.75L. Their wine selection is superior to anything Ive ever seen anywhere else. Their online inventory is amazing, so check their website before going in (even though they are very likely going to have it). Customer service was okay. I wondered for about 10min before being asked if I needed help. But honestly was so mesmerized by everything it didnt bother me. This is my go-to liquor store. (I think its better than the other two major chain stores you can find in OC.)

Wow! Any type of drinkable alcoholic beverage you can imagine can probably be found here. A friend recently introduced us to Drambuie and our son told us about this place. We bought some of that and spent a while gawking at the most expensive bottles of whiskey I have ever seen: $6,999.00 for 750 ml of Macallan. Never made it to the wine cellar.

Do not to business with these people. I simply called to find out if there’s any easy way to tell how old a whiskey is. The guy in the liquor department said $500 over the phone and told me that this is a business and they don’t give out free time. Really? Is this how you treat your customers. From the neighborhood and was transferred to the Pacific NW. Miss this place every Friday more than I could have possibly imagined. Ive been all over the country and this is still the best store Ive been to. Im sure there are gems out there, but nothing Ive found. Its a Newport Beach institution to anyone who has their roots in the neighborhood, and anything less than a 5 star review means you have no idea what youre talking about, and your misguided perceptions should be kept to yourself.

Selection is good. Online browser is clunky. My absolute biggest complaint is they use GLS for shipping. GLS is absolutely terrible cant even get close on the correct date of delivery let alone the time. When a signature is required for delivery it makes it impossible to use this company! Shipping is absolutely out of the question unless all you want to do is wait for the delivery driver for days on end.

Good selection, but the customer service is atrocious. There are several guys who are the beer & liquor gatekeepers and they will not let you buy limited edition stuff that they have unless you are in their little club. They order it, hold it off the floor and only make it available to their friends. Even though I have spent thousands of dollars here over the years my money doesnt spend good enough compared to their buddies. I can buy regular shelf beer and liquor anywhere, and with a policy like that it wont be from you ever again.
