Came in around 10:30am and Byron was very kind and took my car in for a smog. It was very quick! and he gave me more info on car maintenance which made me notice how much he truly cares for clients. The pricing was great affordable. I will definitely be coming back!! Will recommend to friends and family.

Update: When i got a smog check last month, Byron recommended some maintenance.I’m so glad i listened and came back to get some parts updated. My car is running so much smoother and i felt like he was really looking out for me. Thank you so much for the great work. His prices are very reasonable. They are very trustworthy folks here. Highly recommend them.Came to get a smog check. Byron was very professional and knew what he was doing. I highly recommend this shop, the smog check took around 20 mins and was reasonably priced. I will be returning for additional maintenance.

Had to drop a review after Bryon helped me out getting my truck fixed. He went out of his way to help me save money and not overpay for a catalytic converter I didnt need.I went for a smog check, and he said theirs a problem with one of my catalytic converter. Almost a year ago, I got my right side stolen. And got it replaced. He said it was the right side. I went to the place where I got my catalytic converter installed, and they said it had to be the left side. And saying I had to pay for a brand new one. I went back to bryon andHe gave me the actual information on why it had to be the right side. Went back to where I got my catalytic installed with that information and finally actually helped me out and realized they were wrong.Because of that, I saved almost 1,000 bucks!! And all that extra headache that wouldnt solve my problem.Im really happy as a customer and I will definitely be recommending people to this place!!

Big thank you to Byron for taking care of me. I drove around to at leat 3 different locations and no one wanted to help me because its an older car and requires a bit more work testing on a dyno. I pulled up to Hi-Tech, Byron already had plenty of cars lined up and i told him I came during my lunch and he squeezed me in. Byron took very good care of me and I highly recommend this location to anyone that has to smog their vehicles. Keep up the spectacular service!

This place is amazing in every way possible. Tony is very nice and knowledgeable. I got a smog check which was quick and easy, and the price was the lowest I found in my area. I first went there because of the price but after having the smog check done, I think, I would go there even if they weren’t the lowest around me because the service was very good. Like I said, very fast and very knowledgeable. Tony is the man, I will definitely be back in the future and will recommend to all my friends and family. Thank you Tony!

Very friendly owner. He was extremely educated and definitely knew what he was doing/talking about. My car didn’t pass the first time and he told me step by step what to do to make it pass. I would 100% recommend Hi-Tech Auto N Smog if you need to get your smog done. It’s definitely a small shop so Make sure to get there early. Otherwise you’ll have trouble parking

Byron was awesome! I had my catalytic converter stolen so when I had it replaced I had the repair guy put a box around it so he couldnt see the part serial number. He helped out and offered to cut the box to get the number them place it back to help me get my smog check! Very accommodating!

Highly highly recommend this shop! After being ripped off at PepBoys I came to my local shop and I gotta say I can’t believe It’s taken me this long to come here. The staff is professional and attentive. In a couple of occasions they also fixed some minor issues I had without even charging me! I’ve owned many cars and gone to many shops in my time and I gotta say, when you come to Hi-Tech Auto you feel comfortable and know they’re going to get the job done right the first time and at a reasonable price.If you’re out looking for a reliable shop believe me this is the place, look no further.

Byron was so personable and helpful when I asked him questions about the smog check he provided as well as helping me with my oil change. It’s my 3rd time here and he even bought me a drink while I waited. He is super thorough and taught me about my own car. He went out of his way to fix my car when it didn’t pass the smog check. He is honest, his prices are very fair and the service is second to none. Will ALWAYS come here to do any auto work for my car, including a simple oil change and a any smog checks for any of my vehicles. Mechanics don’t come like this anymore...he is simple the best.

This is my second time having my vehicle smogged here, but my first time writing a review. Even though I live in Sun Valley, and there are closer smog places, because of my experiences at Hi - Tech I will continue to come here. Byron the owner is a one man show! Because of this he is attentive to his customers and even though there may be other ahead of you, I have never have had to wait more than 20 minutes for my turn. Byron is a class act, and is also very personable, and will even throw in a joke or two. I highly recommend Hi-Tech Auto N Smog!!!! A++++

Disappointed . I roginally came here, got a smog done and paid. $60. It took me 2 months to fix the issue which cost me $280 to get a passing. I then had to repay this shop $40 for another smog test. 2 miles after passing smog my brakes completely have altered and are dangerous to drive. I ask for the shop to fix the issue but now I have to pay $160 for a inspection test so they run and see whats is wrong. Very disappointed

First sign I should’ve been out of there before he serviced my car was when he tried to sell me a dirty smog. Dude is a joke makes you wait hours when he’s not even busy. Both times I was there he was either on the fone with some girl or talking to some lady in his shop. I mean it’s cool if it’s business but it wasn’t. The worst smog check station in California. Never recommend go there. I take my car to do smog check test, car pass all emissions tests, after that smog check technician tell me.. I have bad news for you, your car pass smog test but didnt pass visual inspection, because you have K&N air cleaner system. and i pay hem $50 for nothing !!!! I call the K&N company and explain him the situation, company send me documents which prove that they are legal in all states of America. After I call that technician again and he told me oh you have a broken hoses too, how stupid technician can be to tell that? If car has a mechanical issues then its impossible to pass emission tests.

I took my car here to check the AC, he first said the service for the AC would be $200, then he told my husband something else, that it was the condenser and the total ended up being $500, kept my car overnight. I even checked the part it costs $60-100 so I’m guessing he charged $300 for labor. Beware!! They are dishonest, they overcharge, and they don’t give receipts on how much they charged.
