Came from another shop that changed a part but did not solve my whistling issue on my car. Alan from Hg test drove my car, did a smoke test, found the source and solved it in a little over an hour. Best place in Southern California to fix up, upgrade or customize your high end automobiles! Amazingly knowledgeable staff with experience and great customer service. When it comes to obtaining a mechanic these are my top three priorities and they top the charts for all three. Its a bit of a drive from my house but piece of mind is worth the travel. Im extremely happy with this location and will be back again soon for the black out package.

This shop is amazing! I’m typically weary of going to mechanics especially when far from home. Not only is this one of the most professional shops I’ve ever been to they are also masters of their craft. Prices are fair and the work is solid. I can’t say enough about HG!Devin is the man, walked me through every step of the process while they were working on my car. Turbo wastegate needed to be replaced and decided to do an APR stage 1 tune. They got my car back to me that same day. Very satisfied customer!! :))

These days its challenging to find a reputable and knowledgable shop that knows performance. Everyone that I had the opportunity to speak with was super friendly and knowledgable. My car had special tuning needs that HG took care of and in addition to that, they offered suggestions that were really helpful. HG defiantly knows how to set up a car for whatever type of driving is preferred. In my case, I wanted the car to be set up for street/canyon carving. I really appreciate what they did for me and will go back to them for any future tuning needs.

This is a long overdo review. The folks here are excellent! Ive had my Telsa Model 3 Performance here a few times for everything from a tire swap, to an alignment w/corner balance. They do great track prep, and take care to listen to your needs. Prices are in line with other places, if not better. I cant say enough about HG. They are 45 mins away from me, but it is worth it! I highly recommend HG Performance.

One of the best shops around. I tried taking my car to another shop for a complicated wheel and tire installation that turned into a nightmare with a well known local shop closer to me. Team at HG was responsive, had accurate pricing up front, no surprises and did a thorough full vehicle inspection which identified I had a nail in one tire which possibly saved a blowout at high speeds. Initially, HG Performance was a referral from someone but being new to SD County wanted to speak to them live regarding upgrading my Tesla Suspension, new Wheel installation, alignment, etc. This shop is always present, open early, and has a great Sales staff (Devin / Phil). They always pick up the phone, answer and explain any question in detail, and only want to install the best application for your vehicle. Devin in particular I spent a lot of time with regarding coordination of drop off, exact installation process, progress during work, etc. He was amazing! He truly went above and beyond to address any questions during the entire process, offered to transport my car if needed, was extremely flexible with the scheduling, and updated me on progress end to end. Likewise, he is professional, knowledgeable, and seems to be passionate about what he does. Lastly, their technicians are extremely knowledgeable and you can tell this shop takes pride AND stands behind their work. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for quality Auto work/services!

I brought my Focus RS in for a transmission/clutch install and HG Performance was great. I reached out on their website for a quote and Neema got back to me within a day. Once I received my built transmission they got me in quickly and the turnaround time was two days. They worked with me and the transmission shop through some issues and got me back on the road quickly. I would highly recommend HG Performance for any service or modifications.

Im an extremely cautious and somewhat pessimistic owner of a 718 Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0. Anybody who intends to work on my car, I assume theyre about to screw it up, screw me out of money, and overall ruin my day.HG is far from this. I gave my business to HG to install OAPs and a carbon fiber duckbill after quite a bit of research and networking -- but what sold me was Phils excellent customer service on the full process end to end. HG is by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts, and it absolutely shows in the way Phil handles business and takes care of customers.The shop foreman Alain worked on my car. Alain has over 10 years of experience at HG and is extremely meticulous with his craft. Both jobs finished well before the hours of labor I was quoted without sacrificing any quality or cutting corners because frankly Alain is very good at what he does.It doesnt matter what car you have. If you need to get some work done on it, stop researching, stop reading reviews, stop worrying, and just bring it to HG.

Omar and his team managed to get me the piece I was looking for (QTP Exhaust Cut outs + electronic controller) for the best price available!! I came in for a pre-dyno inspection and they guys here knocked it out of the park. They were able to find several issues and fix them within the limited time frame I had. Dylan is a very knowledgeable and helpful with all diagnostics and can explain the cause and effect of each issue. They also provide pictures post inspection to show you exactly what they found. So we (the customers) have a better understanding of what they are seeing and what you are paying for. Overall I highly recommend this shop for all performance/maintenance needs.

All their technicians are factory trained to work on Mercedes and Porsche. This was important to me. I didnt want to just take my car to any old foreign car mechanic. They are also factory trained on other German cars but since I only own a Porsche and Mercedes, I didnt look into it.Their place looks amazing. It is so clean inside the service area, you feel like you could eat off the floor. Everything is all shinny and new.I was an old Heinz Gietz Mercedes customer at their downtown La Jolla location for 20+ years. When they closed that location, I switched to San Diego Mercedes. I wouldnt say that I received bad service at San Diego Mercedes but it wasnt anything special. I definitely wouldnt write home about it. I lease my Mercedes so I figured it would just be easier to take it to San Diego Mercedes since the car is under warranty. The experience reminded me how much I missed Heinz Gietz Mercedes. I had my Service B done at San Diego Mercedes and it was significantly more money than it would have cost me at HG Motorsports. In addition, San Diego Mercedes made me wait over an hour for a loaner car. Last week, my brake wear warning light came on. This time, I took the car to HG Motorsports. Big difference! Unlike San Diego Mercedes that charges you for a loaner car, HG gives you one for free.In addition, for a small fee, they will even pick up and drop off your car at your home or work.If you decide to drop your car off, their location is only two exits away on the 5 freeway. It literally took me less than 10 minutes to get there. It is right off the exit. They will also allow you to drop off your car at Enterprise rental car in La Jolla - the one right next to the Mobil Gas station on La Jolla Village drive.I took my Porsche there last week for an oil change and alignment.Great service. I only have wonderful things to say about them. My only regret is that I didnt go to them sooner!
