Car was rented by me for one of our company employees. Paid online for a total of $252.74We have rented online multiple times before and never had an issue with pre paid vehicles. The employee picking up always needs to present an additional CC for incidentals and that is never an issue.Upon pickup today at Placentia - Yorba Linda Hle -1350 Yorba Linda Blvd, Placentia, CA US 92870-3833 my employee was turned away from renting as she did not have IN HAND the CC that was used to pay for the vehicle. Her other information all matched and was verified and she had her personal card for incidentals. The employee working for Hertz (name unknown, dressed very unprofessionally in a black sundress with sunflowers on it and an unnecessary amount of cleavage showing) told my employee that there was nothing that could be done to help her. She refused to rent her that vehicle, refused to rent her a different vehicle with her own personal credit card, and refused to cancel our prepaid reservation.Looks like youre out of options here. You can try Enterprise down the street.Now I cannot cancel this reservation because it is past pick up time. This Hertz employee refused a vehicle rental that was paid for and we cannot get our money back. This is absolutely unacceptable. Not only will we never rent from this company again but I staff at this location is rude and should not be serving the public. As far as we are concerned this is theft as we were denied a rental that we had paid for - when this is something that we have done many times in the past.Do Better

I believe this location is a matter of necessity/convenience for many folks, like myself. Unfortunately, I need to rent from this location occasionally. My experiences have never been great, or too bad, until recently.I had rented a vehicle prior to this visit, and provided a review (to Hertz) of my experience. The vehicle I was given, was not clean, despite having waited 30 minutes for a wash.I bring this up, because I received call from the branch manager, shortly after submitting my review. Hertz offers an option if you do not want to be contacted regarding you review; I made that selection. Despite this, the branch manager called me and let me know she was not pleased with my review. Really?!?!I recently had to go back to rent another vehicle. When I arrived, there was a customer who was clearly frustrated. He needed a sepcific vehicle and when the branch manager arrived, she barely acknowledged him.I asked if I could rent 2 different vehicles on the lot, per the usual, I was told no. Last time it was because the vehicle I wanted needed an oil change that would take 8 hours. This time, it was because both vehicles were reserved. I have rented from this location over a half a dozen times, and have never been given the vehicle I ask for. Based on my observations of other renters, this seems to be an issue for other patrons who visit this branch.Getting back to this rental experience, I was given a very small SUV, that was absolutely disgusting on the inside. Considering the experience I just had with the branch manager, I had expected some effort would be put into making sure I was given a clean vehicle. Nope! Despite Covid, I was given a filthy vehicle, with unknown dried liquids splattered throughout. Also had very visible shoe marks all over the seats (please see photos).If you do not need to rent from this location, I strongly suggest going to another branch, or other car rental company.

Reserved a car 4 days before it was needed only to be told 2 hours before my event they didn’t have what I needed. Service at this location is always terrible.

The worst of the worst! They are rude, and show no interest in customer care! The people working there are absolutely disrespectful. I was overcharged when I went in person. Tried to show her my online booking but she wasn’t interested in looking. Said the difference is documentation fee(I’ve never heard of that in my life. Nor did I read it anywhere when I made the online booking through AAA. Must be something new! So be aware!!! Went to return the car and I guess when I filled it before returning it, it was about 1/16 inch off the 3/4 line. Was going to charge me $31 in gas difference. He gave me the option to fillet so of course I did. Asked how much he thought it would need he said probably about $10. Being the good and patient customer, I took the car put an extra $10 and lo and behold it actually almost filled the tank. Lucky hertz because the customer never gets a refund for the extra gas they fill. I guess I’ll consider that my good deed for the day.And when I went to pick up the car, they made me wait and extra 15/20mins to clean the car. Please tell me why then did u make a reservation ahead of time. Isn’t that because I need the car at a specific time!!How about the cleanliness of the office.. don’t even get me started on that! Don’t think that place has ever seen a duster or mop! Yuck!!Save yourself some disappointment(I’m really putting this nicely) and go elsewhere!Just wish I could give them a zero!!! Actually a minus would be more accurate.

On the morning were planning on leaving on a trip, we get a call from another rental location that they dont have a car available for our confirmed reservation. We then called this Hertz location. They were ready, willing and ABLE to fulfill our need with a great vehicle. No hassles, friendly and professional! Oh.. and even saved us some $s.

The woman that works at the Hertz in Placentia kept arguing about my medical marijuana because I just came from the dispensary and it smelled strong in my purse. Absolutely no smell of smoke in the car whatsoever. But she continued to tell me I can’t even have that in the car when I legally can. I live in California. But she kept arguing with me so I had to tell her that I can smoke it anywhere at any time in front of any cop and the cop won’t say one word because it’s my seizure medication. Finally she shut up about it. But when we came later that day to return the car she had been making other people with an appointment, wait out in the sun and made us wait also for an hour until she got back. And was really rude and snappy. Looked like a snob down her nose at us! She is bad for their business. She should be fired. I would give zero stars but they don’t give that option.

Avoid this place at all cost.Expect to wait at least 30mins. If theyre slow and 60mins when its busy.Horrible, rude and slow customer service. The woman at the front counter has been there for 5 years but she still doesnt know how to her job right.They will double charge you and steal your hard earned money.You must do better Hertz.SMH.

Stay away from this place. The give me the car with no and dirty. The morning guy told he will give a 10 dollars credit. But the girl working refused even when I brought the recibe for the car was and more gas. Horribel service
