Dr Joanna is absolutely REMARKABLE!!!! I had a new injury regarding a tear in my rotator cuff. Within two visits I could feel a substantial improvement!!! Appointment 3 and couldn’t be happier. I have an older injury that she is now working on and can already feel that improving within two visits. She is SUPER sweet, kind and easy to talk with. She makes you feel at ease right from the get go. As well as acupuncture she is also incorporating cupping into the procedure. So relaxing I could fall alseep!!! Very upfront w cost, how long she thinks you will need to see her, and extremely accommodating w getting you in. 5 stars all around!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I had been troubled with repeated ankle injuries and frequent allergy outbreaks. I used to take painkillers and allergy pills almost nonstop. Finally I got help from Dr. Zhang. My ankles have been healed and I regained full mobility. I only need allergy pills occasionally, and I get to enjoy life like a normal person.

Dr. Zhang is absolutely amazing! I have been going to her for a few months and my primary goal was to focus on hormone balance. I have had chronic night sweats for decades and had difficulty sleeping well. I have not had night sweats in over 3 weeks and am sleeping like a baby again - I had no idea I would ever get back to sleeping so well. Dr. Zhang is so caring and has a genuine desire to help. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a very kind disposition. I am so grateful to have found her.

Before seeing Joanna Zhang I was being treated by a different facility for a gout issue. The gout issue lingers for about 2 months, I visit the urgent care 3 time and the medication prescribed to me after me really bad. I was still in pain and my foot was super swollen when I seen Joanna Zhang. I learn about Her through a friend that see her for back issues and said she is amazing. I seen here once and my swelling went down dramatically and the pain subsided within a days. I was very optimistic to try acupuncture I wish I would have done it long ago after the results Ive gotten. I visit her one week after and the swelling and pain was gone. Second visit I had acupuncture on the affected area for maintenance and prevention. I will schedule another appointment for my lower back due to amazing results that Ive gotten. I highly recommend Joanna Zhang.

I sprained a muscle Monday morning, called Joanna Zhangs office and was able to be seen within a couple hours. I am a new patient to treatments altogether and Joannas consultation was quick and I felt immediately better after the first treatment. She stopped the shooting pain to my knee immediately. She fit me in the next day to follow up and by the second treatment I was completely healed. Her treatments were very effective and at the consult, immediately knew which treatment would be best.

Dr Zhang is absolutely fantastic. My Acupuncturist for many years had passed away and I needed to find a new Dr. I was blessed to find her, she immediately gave me an appointment for the next day, which was a Sunday.She listened attentively to my issues, assessed my overall health and went to work immediately. Dr Zhang is a very sweet person that makes your pain go away and advises you on other possible issues. She diagnosed me and healed me.She is my little Angel.

I have been seeing Dr. Zhang for almost one year, beginning with post rotator cuff surgery. Her services accelerated my recovery and I was able to return to my daily and recreational activities more quickly. I continue to see Dr. Zhang for hormonal balance and have also brought my 14 year old son for treatments. He has suffered for many years from dry skin and scalp issues and we had tried every lotion and shampoo out there. Within a couple of weeks Dr. Zhang improved his condition 100%. I wish I would have brought him sooner! Because of the effectiveness I’ve experienced with Dr. Zhang, she is my go to for just about any ailment that arises for myself and my family.

I came to Heal-Live-Laugh Acupuncture on a friends recommendation. He said that Dr. Zhang had helped him. I had a very bad case of sciatica. I had sever pain in my back and leg. Dr. Zhang is awesome. She is knowledgeable, comprehensive, and personable. Her initial exam revealed exactly what I came to see her for. She explained her treatment and recommended steps for home care as well. I will be continuing treatments for maintenance. If you are on the fence about whether to try acupuncture and/or herbal medicine, I strongly suggest you climb down off the fence and walk into her office.

Dr. Zhang is lovely! My husband referred me to her. She has such a calm and caring demeanor. Excellent bedside manners. She is personable, easily likable, and her genuine desire to help people heal is quite evident. She seems to have so much knowledge about the body and how it works and connection with the mind and can easily target the source of your condition and give you fast relief. I have already recommended her to several others including my kids.I sometimes hesitate to leave amazing people reviews because they will get so busy I have to fight for appointment, but I just could not NOT say anything. Finally, I found a great acupuncturist here. It was not easy search since I was treated by a really experienced acupuncturist back in China. I tried several acupuncturist before her and was very disappointed. I was referred to her by my friend due to very bad back, neck, and shoulder pain. At first treatment, I already got huge relieve from my pain. She combined four techniques in one treatment instead of just acupuncture and I got her undivided attention in the entire session! We are constantly communicating during the treatments so she can treat me even more effectively. I have been going to her in last 6 months at least one treatment per week. Now, with combined chiropractic treatments, I feel better than ever. I feel I am 10 years younger and more energetic than ever and no pain after working 8 hours. Thank you so much. Dr. Zhang is wonderful! My daughter started going to her about three weeks ago after she started experiencing joint pain in her hip from dancing. Her pain level decreased immediately after one session and after two more sessions she is almost pain-free. Dr. Zhang also mixed essential oils to use at home which my daughter really liked. I highly recommend her!

I have had stomach problems, headaches for sometime and tried many acupuncturists before. But none has been able to treat my condition fully. Dr Zhang is a miracle worker. I’ve been her patient for over a month and she has helped stabilized my migraines. I used to suffer from 8-10/10 daily, weekly migraines, now it’s down to 1-2 a week, and have decreased in severity. Another thing, I have been noticeably calmer, not as anxious when I’m at work or under stress. Dr Zhang immediately examined, diagnosed, and gave me a treatment plan. I’ve been seeing her religiously every week for acupuncture and cupping. Next visit, she will do some currents on me. I am so thankful for Dr Zhang, her bedside manner is excellent, explains everything and is very informative. So warm and welcoming. I always look forward to our visits and the relief. I highly recommend Dr Zhang for all your holistic needs. She has provided me with a topical migraine formula that takes out the tension. I love her use of essential oils, not just any essential oil, but Doterra. Acupuncture treatment isn’t a one time thing, but a system to treat the cause, I can’t explain it as well, but find the problem, treat the cause, of which part or organ that is affected. Find balance. You need to keep up with your appointments to see and feel the difference. Dr Zhang also has a monthly newsletter which is nice, since she cares about all her patients.

Dr Zhang is a healer. I have been dealing with various alignments for years, that I was told required either surgery or the use of steroids. I really didnt like either option so I sought out other options. I have heard about acupuncture and its has always fascinated me. After extensive research of the process and my options in the area, I chose Dr. Zhang. She listens to your issue and guides you through a customized treatment specifically for you. In my case I had something that treated two issues simultaneously. Cool. I am sure its different for everyone but I felt a change after my first treatment and my issues progressed with each treatment. I am about 90% healed from things that would not have been healed going the conventional route. Expensive surgery with sure to eventually come complications or steroids that have to increase in dosage to be effective in maintaining the symptoms but not actually healing you. No thank you. She is not Jesus so dont expect miracles but if to treat the root cause of your alignments good things are going to happen. You are gonna feel way better than the way you came in.

Ive had chronic digestive issues for some time now and as a result, Ive tried MANY acupuncturists over the years. Dr. Zhang is definitely one of the more skilled acupuncturists, and thankfully she also happens to be in network with my insurance. Unfortunately, no doctor (traditional or holistic/alternative) has been able to fully treat my condition, but Dr. Zhang helps ease some of the discomfort, especially when things are really severe. She also helps treat my pain at that dreaded time of the month. One thing to note is that it is a shared office space, so for the most part she is at her desk (in the same room) for the 30+ minutes you have the needles in, but she dims the lights and turns on instrumental music to help you relax. An added bonus is that you can easily communicate with her and schedule appointments through text.

Having tried other medical treatments and therapies without success, I am ever so grateful to Dr. Zhang for providing me with a thorough and effective treatment plan to address my arthritis pain and overall health. At my first consultation, Dr. Zhang was quick to identify my health issues and describe the precise steps we needed to take. In less than 2 months, the combination of acupuncture treatments, cupping, herbs and therapeutic oils has eliminated the arthritis pain in my hands and they continue to improve with each treatment. I am very happy and satisfied that I came across Dr. Zhangs business while browsing Yelp/Google for an acupuncturist! I had neck pain due to working out (BJJ) and wanted to take a holistic approach in healing myself.The stellar reviews and the fact she was available on a Sunday bonus points :). The first therapy session consisted of a fairly quick consultation on why I chose acupuncture and what was causing my pain. Right away, I was set up on a very clean and professionally maintained table and Dr. Zhang explained to me exactly what she was doing and how it works. I have done acupuncture before and honestly, her technique is flawless and completely pain free!Completing our session, she did a quick adjustment on my neck/upper back area to alleviate tension and pain.I felt amazing afterwards and came back for a second session and it did wonders.The second session consisted of acupuncture and also cupping for muscle tightness -- I have never felt better. It was my pleasure to meet Joanna Zhang at a social event, and was drawn to her pleasant nature. It was only when I asked if she worked outside her home that I learned that she was an Acupuncturist. Since I had good experience with Acupuncture in the past, I had actually been looking for an Acupuncturist. I asked for her card.I started treatment with her shortly after that, and very quickly started to feel wonderfully better.The first thing I noticed was an increase in my energy level. For a variety of reasons, I had been feeling pretty exhausted before I started treatment with Joanna. It wasnt long before my energy level increased dramatically. That alone was pretty remarkable!I had been also experiencing a fairly bad acid reflux condition and became allergic to the commonly prescribed medicines. Though acupuncture treatment with Dr. Zhang, it wasnt long before that condition also improved dramatically.I wasnt expecting that her treatment could improve these two conditions as well as they have, but now I have become a true believer.In the last couple of months, I had to have two surgeries. Joanna has helped me recover from both of these surgeries using much less pain medication then expected.Dr. Joanna Zhang is a gifted and skilled practitioner who uses different modalities to help her patients. Dr Zhang is amazing!! I came to her via Yelp, to have someone work on my thumb which was inflamed due to a pre-existing injury. I couldnt believe the progress that was made after only 2 sessions with her - on top of everything else - was also covered under my insurance!I had a few acupuncture treatments previously with very little success or changes in my overall well-being. With Dr. Zhang, I feel recharged immediately after her sessions, and the effects ripple out through the rest of my life in a positive way.Her knowledge is vast about ancient Chinese medicine, as well as modern medicine. I came to Dr. Zhang as I sprained my back during volleyball play. It was a sharp pain and unbearable. I expected a couple of needles, and was thrilled to get essential pil aromatic therapy and electro stimulation as well. Dr. Zhang took away most of my pain from my first visit. I came to see Dr. Zhang for two years now, for health issues such as shoulder pain, low back pain, trigger finger, chest pain, palpitation, allergy, digestive issue. Soooo like most people, I was a non-believer in acupuncture, but after trying everything in the book for terrible headaches, I was tired of taking Tylenol every single day. When I was doing my research, I found Dr.Joanna and thought maybe this was too good to be true, but decided to book an appointment. At the beginning of the appointment, she asks a lot of questions to try and figure out the root of your problem.At the end of the first appointment, I felt sooo much relief and went back one more time and never had headaches again. I also bought the oil and I use that whenever I feel like I might be getting a headache (which is RARE). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! Must try!!!! Love her!!!! Not a fan of needles! BUT ... Dr. Joanna Zhangs is the place to go! I have serious back muscle issues and shoulder muscle issues. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars over the years to go to massage places for SHIATSU, DEEP TISSUE, you name it! and bought all kinds of toys for massages and even had my wife step on my back with the heels of her feet with all her weight, but the pain just kept coming back the very next day...EVERYDAY.... SO MISERABLE!!! Today was only my first day of supposedly 10 visits or so but I cant wait to go back! I walked out of there feeling great ! In the past Ive had some bad experiences with acupuncture where the Dr. hit a nerve or something and hurt like CRAZY and he hit the wrong spots 1 out of every 5 points, but not Dr. Zhang. Her hands were warm, smooth and even when she took my pulse with her hands, I knew I was in good hands. The entire experience was great. If she can make this back muscle pain go away for good or at least a year, Im coming back for anything else acupuncture/Dr. Joanna Zhang has to offer for my body! oh and for a lady that looks dead serious and very professional she can crack some funny jokes! a big plus! because you leave HEALED, LIVING AND LAUGHING. Dr. Zhang has been the answer to my prayers!She has gotten me results quickly and is such a sweet and kind human. Shes incredibly knowledgeable and seems to just know everything thats going on as if reading a body is as simple as reading a book. Her office is very clean and comfortable and treatments are always calm and enjoyable.To speak on my situation specifically, I have a history with various birth control methods and when my copper IUD caused my period to completely stop, I didnt know what was going on or what to do. I had it removed but my period still didnt come back. I went almost a year with no period. Desperate to bring balance back to my life I started to look into natural solutions and found Dr. Zhang on Yelp. Within two months of seeing her, on a regime of twice daily herbal supplements and weekly acupuncture, my period returned! I have just finished my second period since beginning treatment with her and I plan to continue my weekly treatments and herbs until everything is back to complete normalcy. I have been seeing Dr. Zhang for a short period of time and she has helped me tremendously. My original visit was for help with severe hip pain. There was relief after my first appointment. By my third appointment I was pain free. During my last visit I mentioned my difficulty sleeping. Dr. Zhang added some needles to address this situation. I decided to see Dr. Zhang after suffering from chronic and severe eczema for almost 2 years under a dermatologist’s care. Even though I was taking the strongest corticosteroid creams. my skin was not improving, just not getting worse. My forearms and my legs had severe dermatitis and was inflamed and very itchy. I was desperate and wanted to try another approach to help my skin heal since conventional medicine did not help (just more prescriptions that were not good for my body).With Dr. Zhang’s individualized treatment protocol, using acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and essential oils, I slowly started getting better. Along with a dermatologist-prescribed non corticosteroid cream, my forearms and legs started to become less inflamed and itchy. What I noticed was that my skin was getting more softer and less dry. Friends also commented on how good my face looked (I did not use any prescription meds on my face), so I know that was a direct result of Dr. Zhang’s treatment. For the first time in almost 2 years my skin is finally getting back to my normal. Dr. Zhang has also treated me on my lower back pain and it is also slowly getting better. I came to Dr. Zhang I was at 10/10 pain for months 24/7 I had already been at the chiropractor 36 times for decompression and adjustments and been to the Dr. to get Toradol injectionsIm a 39yo female. I have been dealing with sciatica for years and I was at a point to where it was hard to walk, stand, drive, sleep, cook, grocery shop, etc...I felt useless and I have a family that depended on me. I was getting to a point where I was depressed and in soo much pain you can see it in me. Well my bf googled acupuncturist he did his homework and read all the reviews on yelp of all that he looked up and came across Dr. Zhang....well that was the best Xmas present ever! He made my appt and took me at that time I was having a lot of issues walking also when I got on her table it was very hard for me to just lay there face down because of my pain level. After 2 sessions OMG I was feeling soooo good I could not believe it ! I’ve been using TCM for many years and I have to say that Dr. Zhang is the best practitioner I’ve come across! Not only is she knowledgable and friendly but her prices and the variety of treatments she provides are amazing. She has helped me with back pain and menopause symptoms using a combo of herbs, cupping, aromatherapy, and acupuncture and I feel great! I called her after finding her on yelp on a whim when I was desperate for some medicine to help with a nasty cough. She squeezed me in that day and provided me with the medicine I needed. Dr Zhang has helped my confidence so much! I suffer from swollen inflamed acne and after 4 sessions of acupuncture my face is all but cleared. My complexion is more even and I haven’t had any new bumps.Honestly, if you’re suffering from acne and the embarrassment that goes along with it, then give Dr. Zhang a try. At this point, Im ready for session #7.I tried acupuncture before, however, it didnt show such effect. Yujie zhang, my acupuncture and healer, is interested in my recovery, and the quality of my life has greatly improved. I would recommend Yujie zhang to anyone suffering chronic pain. I believed I had to suffer from my pinched nerve pain for life. I had 3 pinched nerves (from x-ray pinched nerve was at my neck, right shoulder, and right forearm) from a fall back in 2004. I tried everything to reduce the extreme pain from yoga to massage to taking advil to using heat or cold pads, nothing worked just a waste of money. I suffered pinched nerve episodes (at least 2-3 times a year) where I could not hold a pen to write and my right hand was trembling from the pain.After my 1st treatment on July 6, 2020, I felt immediate pain relief. I had 10 treatments so far and I am getting better after each treatment. I am excited to feel normal and without episodes of pinched nerve pain, numbness, cold hands, etc.

I have cervical cancer which has metastasized to my lungs-now Stage IV B. I had decide to try Accupuncture again after many of years with traditional medicine to treat my pain issues. I went to Dr. Zhāng for some really sharp pain I was experiencing in my right hip area. I had gone to my regular doctor X-rays only showed arthritis. I was scheduled for physical therapy a month away and some high mg ibuprofen tabs, which did nothing for the really sharp pain I would experienced when getting up from a chair or bendin to tie my shoes. Dr. Zhāng using Cupping and Needles, resolved this. I walked out of the office pain-free. I highly recommend her and will return.

Dr. Zang is very knowledgeable and caring. I first came to the office to treat my allergies. I have been on the treatment for three months and I can breath and dont have that sinus pressure that used to give me really bad headaches. She also regulated my period. Now, Im trying some cosmetic acupuncture and I am VERY happy with the results. What can I say, I am addicted to Dr. Zang. I highly recommend her.

I have DDD problem which caused chronic pain to my shoulder and lower back for over two years. The only way to relieve my pain was using pain killers daily. I started taking acupuncture treatments from Dr. Zhang for a couple of months and she managed to relieve my lower back pain completely. I am 41 yo and suddenly I had numbness in my left arm and shortly after that I fainted and spent couple of days trying to figure it out what was wrong with me. Situation got little bit worse after I started to have problems with sleeping and shortness of breath. Every time I was falling asleep, I woke up due to my fast heart beat. This started to be scary for me after 3 days. I talked to one of my friend who had similar problem for about 2 years. He went to see multiple different specialist ( neurologist, etc) and to do different tests just to find nothing. I definitely didnt want to have that conditions for 2 years. I installed app on my phone called Pillow to measure my sleep. The results were horrible. I had an acne problem for the past few months. One pimple goes away, another one pops out over and over. I tried a couple different over the counter medications and skincare products, nothing really worked for my pimples. As I started having detox / skincare treatment from Dr. Zang, my pimples gradually went away. After about a month of treatment, my skin tone got better and didnt develop new pimples.
